No Time For Explanations ( Alexis/Gabriel/Zeke )

It was strange of the man to have such heated emotions, not to usual for one such as he who hid behind the cold stare of his alotted pokerface. It'd always been so easy for him to get the reaction he dared to claim but when the situation was reversed, when things flew off the handle it was odd. Now he stood there in the kitchen staring at Zeke in return before picking the big boy up and trying to calm himself he found a little patch of cold deep down and hard to harness but he'd manage for now as the heat melted his little Icy escape to the roots.

He'd have to manage as he heard them walk in closely after him, Gabriel turning about to walk in the entry way, a sense about this place telling him perhaps it'd been best to manage this outside where no further harm could be done. A vexed stare as Kevala approached her eyes set on Zeke and Gabriel releasing the boy he'd call nephew to his newfound sister.

"Thank you both...."

A nod in reply not choosing to speak either, they were but children now choosing to fight over a spat off words but that was something.

"If you wish to see him Lex, though I know you hate me....You may do so whenever you wish..."

But of course in the end it would seem that Kevala came out on top, being the better person. A lump in his stomach feeling the fool as she let go of begrudged pasts and would allow Lexi time with her son. Something that was greater a deed than he could offer. Suddenly Gabreil pittied himself as he looked upon the happy clapping of Zeke and could feel Alexis wrap around him feeling a much different kind of warmth.

"I would love to."

Gabriel nodded looking down as a fixated smile broke through and he'd edge upwards looking Kevala in the eyes should she meet him there.

"You're welcome anytime you so choose, you are family now afterall, and family's look out for one another."

As Lexi spoke, Kev simply nodded, her attention not following the girl, for she had no reason to. She knew well what was going on, the show of who he loved and so forth...But it honestly did not bother Kev, it never had....Despite what people may think.......

Then, as she felt Zeke curl into her, she simply nodded and started to leave, though as always there he was, stopping her, her eyes instinctively going up to his.......

Though at his words, she choked back a pained sound deep in her chest, never letting it surface as more than just a stifled gasp of breath......

Finally, her hand clasping Zeke to her, she would straighten her figure, drawing in a steadying breath and nod.

"If you say so Gabriel."

She was calm in her tone, civil and nice as always, but in the end, her eyes showed she was hurt.......

Family was a foreign concept to her, she had never had one and knew nothing of what they were supposed to be like.....So for her it was a learning thing......So yeah.....Family was great at hurting one another......Got it!

She knew she would never come by on her own will...For his words said one thing, but the look she was undoubtedly getting from Lex said another....No need to look at the woman to know.

"I am sure Zeke would like to come here often..."

Yes, that was that....The closest she would come is dropping him off most likely......Lowering her eyes away from him once more, unable to hold that gaze without that feeling of dull pain in her chest, she sighed and shook her head.

Air....Much needed....Now......

"Is there anything else Gabriel?"

That defeated tone escaping her. He should have known that despite anything, she would always be there.....No matter how much she hurt inside...Loyalty to him was always foremost in her mind......She loved him.....Nothing would ever change that..No matter how much the man before her tore her apart inside.....

Gabriel stood there not expecting such a reply, it seemed almost obedient as though he were her master and how it vexed him. She didn't need to be loyal nor prove it. Something like that was something she'd already earned several times over, if only there was another way to get it through but for now he'd stay behind the facade he'd been growing into the past few months. He didn't need new dramas rising up for he was happily settled where he was. Sure there'd be more adventure in his life but it'd come at his own leisure.

"No... that'll be all."

He'd say simply turning inward towards Alexis holding her softly, he was lucky. After everything to be gifted with such a life was more than he could ask for.

"I'll be in the other room." A soft kiss upon Lexi's lips before sneaking out of her grip and into the other room to sit. His features flexing tautly to focus all his strength in a sharp rise as the heat of the room boomed before he deflated and his body was relaxed. Training it seemed was paying off even if it was away from the eyes of those around him.

She stood and listened as Kevala once again fell into the whole "I will do what ever you want" type deal-e-o. Now..Alexis tended to be very unpredictable....kay that is half true.... she is quite predictable all the time.... She is a bitch and that's all there is too it, but what is unpredictable is what is going on in her mind that no one sees. It confuses her too and yeah..she fucked herself over and others 'cause she couldn't understand why she acted the way she did.

Gabriel brushed off the question then kissed Alexis softly on the lips before leaving the two of them alone. Alexis' eyes shot to the two of them before taking a step....

Then another.

Then another.

Her arms opened towards Zeke...but it didn't stop there... she wrapped her arms around him and Kevala. Her lips would reach the girl's ears to whisper so Gabriel would have no notice of her words.

"Stay strong."

She would part with her and give the girl a sincere nod.... a nod of completely understanding of the havoc Gabriel can bestow.... 'cause yeah...she was still going through it.... the endless supplies of girls bending over backwards for him....she was waiting to see if he was a ticking time bomb and hoping he won't tire of her like he had when he laid eyes upon Reira.

Though it wasn't completely out of Alexis' personality to hug a girl she feared and even hated for such a feeling.... because she knew if she helped the girl out...she was hoping she would move on.

Now Alexis would turn and would let Kevala show herself out. Alexis would now be in the room Gabe was in and sit on his lap. "You had every right to blow up..."

The small girl he loved landed in his lap softly catching him off guard a smile forced onto his face but less forced and more earned. Such a strange feeling it was to have love, it transcended all things and yet confused many. Lust above all had been a major factor in Gabriel's life early on as he pursued Olivia he felt that it was love but now looking back he'd been blinded by his masculine needs something he regretted thinking back though all of high school had he been better he could have been the one to save her.
Then there was Reira, someone who stood out by physical prowess and cunning allure. She'd been an interest of Gabriel's even guiltily so as she died. Young and foolish he'd been willing to risk something he had that was good.
Despite all things that Alexis had been it was her quirks that fit Gabriel perfectly. Her cunning and wit, suave yet sharp persona, and a sex drive to match. Even when the chips were down the two shared a common defect. They blamed themselves for just about everything that hurt.

"Hmm..." Gabriel would mumble silently as his hands took their time to wrap around her slowly his face burying itself into her shoulder as he breathed before trailing up her neck his lips planting a cool trail up to her jaw before parting and taking to her ear.

"Yet if you weren't there to stop it we'd both be the loser." Gabriel mumbled in a low whisper breathing slowly to tickle her ear as he managed a smile. "Regardless, things will be better we've all been through worse and I know." Gabriel stopped as he lifted her up off the couch standing himself up. His hand sliding beneath her ribcage to hold pressure points.

"That you'll be right again soon enough." A sharp laugh as he'd tickled her again.

As Gabriel spoke Kevala nodded and started to once more make her exit.....only to again be stopped....This time by Lex......

A wince as the girl reached out, and then of course a raise of her brow and her breathing ceasing to exist.....Why? Because she hugged her......

Kev could have handled many things, but that was very very odd to her.....She heard those words, saw the nod of understanding and simply lowered her head in a somewhat respectful manner.

The words may have held some weight, had she not already closed off for the time being. The waves of pain too much to deal with....But she did know that it was not just her that he did this to....she had known that for awhile...........Did not make the pain any less real.

So, as Alexis moved off, Kev just shook her head....Placing a kiss to her son's head and taking her leave......It was just....too much to deal with in such a time...She wanted to go home....At least there it was just her and Zeke, and those that loved to hurt her so much did not exist.......

A small smile curled onto her lips as he kissed her neck..then finally settling at her ear to speak. She would answer quickly to his first statement. "You know I like making you lose." it was a shot at a stupid joke but what ever. He carried on then next then she knew they were both standing.

His fingers were starting to hold tight to those areas that would drive her crazy. She bit her lip and finally... the tickling ensued. She started to laugh, but not as hard 'cause she was trying to hold it in so she wouldn't appear weak to his attempts.... though she started to squirm and get out of his hands...and she flopped herself on the couch to lift her feet up to try and nudge him away...yeah by this point she was laughing hard.

"Stop it!" she would attempt to say in gasping breaths. She would grab for his hands and try to drag him down so she could reach his rib cage.


REVENGE!

"You know I like making you lose."

Sexy... Gabriel managed to grin through that one. A good challenge he must've admit. Always was with her, and he'd enjoy this dominating supremacy till he had his back to the couch. Oh no! Cornered. A small grin as Alexis edged in her hand ready to return the deadly paralyzing damage that was the tickle monster, and who said Zeke had the monopoly on this game.

With a quick yank Gabriel's hands would clasp around hers pinning the use of her hands but he was incapable of stopping his unconscious retreat as he fell back into the couch pulling Alexis along with him as they both went over Gabriel at his back first and pulling Lexi along atop him too.

A bustling laugh on his face as he just laid there no intention of getting up. Smiling back at her hoping her vengeful spree was over, they only had so much furniture they could risk utterly destroying here.

The tickle monster got the best of both Zeke and Gabriel...though when Gabriel squirmed it was a lot more hard to take control. He fell onto the floor and dragged her in tow. She landed on him and that was when she gave up. Yeah she could win..but he was still bigger than her.

"Did you have fun with Zeke?" she said with a smile...obviously still fixated on the boy. The whole time she was with him she realized how great it was to have a child running around. It gave her new stresses to worry about than the menial ones that involved work and such.

Alexis rolled onto her back and off Gabriel... but she was still tucked into the nook of his arm. She turned to her side and rested a hand over his chest. "I did.... all considering the circumstances..."

She probably wasn't going to be able to stop talking about him.

Gabriel remained still as Alexis did much of the same there, it seemed as though the battle for supremacy was over at least for now as the two would be given their little break. His breathing slow, heavy, and patiently controlled as Alexis pulled over leaning into the nook of his arm. The place was comfortable despite laying in the archway made by a toppled couch. Wearing a subtle grin he'd admire the prize of the game.

"Did you have fun with Zeke?" Her voice as calm as ever though he could catch that very secret hint of excitement the expected beat in her chest that showed she wanted more. And quite honestly Gabriel had the same beat though pretenses would suggest that he was unsure of such a thing. But in all truths he was ready to be there, thrust into a situation where he couldn't predict them but enjoy just in watching them grow. The contagious stress and yet excitement about being exhausted over something that wasn't the self.

Her hand placing over his chest right where the heart throbbed sending beats in a pattern as they hitched up excitedly. Gabriel's hand would move atop hers.

"I did.... all considering the circumstances..."

"As did I my love..." A small peck upon her lips as he thought this whole thing through. Having Zeke around had made him a bit less serious. At least until Kevala went about being stupid of course, mentally giving himself the small pep talk. It was a curious thought that something so small and slobbery could be so good in all meanings of the word.

He agreed to the company of the small boy before giving her a quick peck on the lips. Her fingers curled on his chest then she leaned in giving him a longer kiss. "like... it...Really made me feel at peace...having a kid..." yeah she did think of it over the last several days...and no that isn't enough to make a life's choice...but it was so strong in her.

"I...I kind...Kind of want one." she said sheepishly. It was never good to bring up baby talk to a boyfriend and she knew that...but she couldn't hold it back....Zeke was just so cute and it made her happy...and Gabriel seemed to loosen up...except when Kevala pulled what she had and he freaked out. "Sorry if that was something that should have been left unsaid...but I felt it needed to be said." she gave him another kiss and her hand parted from his to cup his cheek as she did so. "but yeah..sorry baby... just..I love you."

She is gonna blame this one on the shrink...yes....the shrink.

Her face was close to his still....scared for what he was going to say... scared that was gonna scare him away actually...

It was in these close moments that defined them, their relationship meaning much more than simple physical attraction. The unbearable closeness that cam with in and unyielding warmth that swam between them channeling the steady beat of hearts to unite. If he'd not been made for romance it'd be for moments like these as the kiss deepened but not fiery as most were, it was discerning and thoughtful prying and containing.

"like... it...Really made me feel at peace...having a kid..."

Gabriel watched her features expecting to pick up an Alexis comment akin to her ew different times but couldn't find it. Was he looking for it as an excuse? More than likely because Gabriel couldn't find a reason why having a child would be a bad deal.

"I...I kind...Kind of want one."

An uncertain smile to match as he knew lying back upon all that was man in him that instructed him to stick with the Sex, passion, and even love but he couldn't accept that all on the nose. To an inkling Gabriel wanted his own too.

"Sorry if that was something that should have been left unsaid...but I felt it needed to be said. but yeah..sorry baby... just..I love you."

Gabriel pondered silently for a second as his responses remained silent at best, cold and quiet his eyes locked onto hers as though in an instant all else would burn away.

He'd laugh openly still holding her close, "You think you can scare me away that easily, the truth is I love you too much..." A quick grin kissing the bridge of her nose not leading onto the child part but harboring the need for one as well deep behind a wall of ice.

Her heart sunk when he laughed... she wasn't sure if it was at her statement or...yeah she didn't know until he said why. He kissed the bridge of her nose and she smiled...still uneasy about how he reacted... he hadn't said yes.... but he hadn't said no... instead she let it slide and wouldn't push on the situation.

She climbed back on him giving him another kiss. "Love you." she stated one last time just for the sincerity. She kissed him again and her hands combed through his hair. It amazed her how long she was with him. Her second serious relationship and it lasted this long...and she still wanted to keep it going..if anything...she would rather it grow than remain the size it was now. "So much."

It meant a lot, it truly did. He'd never felt unconditional love before Alexis and chances are never would in the future because he felt perfected with her. His major flaws and attributes collected and filled out by her simple presence, sure they'd never be perfect but in those moments of imperfection they managed to get through even the fiercest times. And as Gabriel stared back he could tell this was one such time, the dampening to her eyes and seriousness of her tone.

"Whats wrong ma belle?"

Gabriel would coo in a low voice his lips mere inches from hers as a hand played with her hair innocently. His eyes mixed between attentive and distracted as he remained there in the moment still holding her tightly.

"Whats wrong ma belle?"

Alexis shook her head.

"Everything is fine."

Yeah... Everything was fine... But she was just wondering if they could get better.... A kid? Marriage? She was probably just getting far ahead of herself... it was just questioning... Some people get married in like... a year of their relationship... some four years... when was her turn? was it to be four years? Past that? Never? What ever it was it was bothering her a lot for some reason....like a little fly buzzing around and won't leave her alone...

Not a big problem... but it sure as hell irked her.

"Shut up and kiss me..." she said with a quiet laugh...it would be obviously it was an uneasy laugh..trying to hide what was bugging her... but... she would lock lips with him so he wouldn't be able to talk >:3
