No Time For Explanations ( Alexis/Gabriel/Zeke )

[Gabriel Seran]

Gabriel's eyes still fixated on Alexis, A dreamy looking smile faded in her direction obviously lost in thought on something as his mind was constantly provoked by one thing or another. But soon enough it was apparent that he was indeed very focused. Proved by the block being thrown at him swiftly with the toddler's mighty arm to be caught mid-flight before contacting with Gabriel his palm enclosed around it. A grin of success. Yup Zeke had some "training" to improve on before he could best his uncle.

"Gabriel? Did you see where Zeke went? It's like he disappeared!"

His head nodding in agreement as he slowly caught on to the game she was starting up. Good, he knew Lexi would adapt fast and he had a bet that Zeke would grow more fond of her than he would Gabriel soon enough.

"Go that way.." she would mouth to Gabe and so Zeke wouldn't hear her plan. "Hmm... I think we lost him, uncle Gabe..."

Uncle Gabe? Okay now it was sounding a bit weird coming from Alexis, to which he couldn't help but smother a laugh putting his hand up to deflect the noise as he pounced round the corner.

"Rawr!"

"TICKLE MONSTER!"

He heard them talking. HAHA! He had lost them. WIN! About to clap his hands happily, totally blowing his cover, before they were upon him!

NUUUUU!!!

Ack not the tickles!!! He fell over giggling and squirming and trying to get away....That cute little laugh filling the room as he pushed at whatever hands had decided to assault him with the evil tickle munster!!!!

Bad munster!!!

Finally he wiggled away....Managing a swat to Uncle Gabe's head before he crawled off again, hauling his little butt around the corner and back to where his arsenal was. Yes. More weapons!

WHOA!!! What was that?

His eyes instantly shooting to something shiny that had been left laying about.....

Did he know what it was?

Did he care what it was?

Noooooooo

Did he want to eat it?

Yeeeeeeees

So he stopped what he was doing, grabbed small shiny thing ( a random screw, gods knows how it got there, but kids find just about anything and everything on a floor ) and plopped it in his mouth...

His attention diverted for a moment by that, feeling the roughness against his aching gums where his teeth were trying to come in, it was heaven....

Then......

Paper!!!!!

Nummy goody stuff that made the funny sound and then tasted sooooo gewd!!!

Standing up now he reached upward, his fingers barely touching the paper, as he tried to get it....

Still of course nomming on said screw....(again cause kids can do that shit without being noticed...tricky little devils)

He may have had a slight case of ADD....like Mommy...but then he could have just been really eager to learn about new stuff...Still was not clear...But yeah...he was a handful when he wanted to be..especially after spending a couple days with Daddy.

She....was making him laugh.

I DID IT!

Alexis had a large smile on her face now. Wow... a child making her smile...only time she smiled was when Gabe said something smile worthy or when she was being a bitch to someone and it was just a smug smile not a real smile of genuine happiness...that was a mouth full!

Then Zeke attacked Gabriel and wiggled away. Heh...at least he didn't attack her >:3

Alexis got up and looked to see Zeke trying to reach for a piece of paper...of course it was an important piece of paper that she needed to hand into her boss... hmmm.... that would be rather disastrous if he got a hold of that...

"Nuuu." she said in a tone that should hopefully get him to stop and not scare him... Alexis would then trott over to the paper and move it out of babies reach. Of course she didn't know the baby chewing on something 'cause those buggers can hide shit very well! "That is a no no." She would go back to the bag and find something else he could play with......Well... she grabbed the dino instead 'cause she knew he liked him and didn't want to chance giving something he didn't like...like the yellow binky. "Play with this... paper no no Dino you play with."

She failed....oh well...she was starting to enjoy it?

Zeke stood there, looking up at the woman and tilting his head to the side...that screw being pushed to a hiding spot between his cheek and gums....

He then yawned softly, having had a late night and then getting up early..yet just as he did that, he felt his tummy rumble...Sooo with a little thought he turned and moved over to his bag that Mommy kept all his stuff in.....

When he got there he sat down and began to pull out diapers, toys and extra clothes......

He had just spent a few days with Daddy, and he was messy. hehe.....

Finally he found his sippy cup, shaking it as he noted that it was all gone gone.....His lower lip jutting out as he let out the beginning sounds of a cry......

Mommy was not here to fill it! He was gonna die!!

Cause it was in his head that only Mommy and the ladies that Daddy said worked for him could open the skillfully locked container of yumminess

Then his mind clicked on something......Aunt Lexi was a lady person like Mommy....Bet she could undo the blasted lock and get him yumminess!!!

So he pushed himself up and toddled his way back to her, his hand reaching out and tugging at her clothing, that he could reach, as he held the cup up....

"Ant..Wexi....Eke hungy....Mill?"

Yeaaah he was smooth...Those cerulean eyes looking up at her, about as big as life itself and all puppy doggish and yeah, he was already working people. Or trying to anyways.....That lower lip still in play as he sniffled slightly and let his eyes water up....

He would just waste away and die if he didnt get something to eat.....At least, in his mind anyways.....

And he was off again. Alexis watched as he basically emptied out his whole bag. Something to clean up later...

He then pulled out a sippy cup. An empty one. And out of no where..Zeke came to for help.

"Ant..Wexi....Eke hungy....Mill?"

Alexis' brows perked and she looked up to Gabriel mouthing the words "Oh. My. God. KKKKKKKEWWWWT." she would lean down and look in his mouth.... did she just see something shiny? 0.0

Setting that thought aside she grabbed the cup and one of Zeke's hands to walk him into their kitchen. It was a few rooms down the long hallway so she thought if he came then he was able to get his milk fast.

She opened the fridge and found the needed substance and opened the cap of his cup to pour it in. Once done she handed it to him then with a big smile she looked at him. "Do you want a snack? I've got cookies?"

Lexi grabbed a box of cookies and held it out for the boy to see them...then realized if he had any allergies or anything else she should know about before giving him one...

SOOOO.

"Gabe!?" she would call for him and when Gabriel entered the kitchen she flashed him the box. "Can he have one?"

She did this so if Zeke wasn't allowed...then Gabriel would be the bad guy >:3

Lexi was learning the laws of parenthood fast. >:3

Of course the hand smacked him straight in the face, thats what he got for leaning low so Zeke could reach him. The grizzled fighter learning lessons from a baby no less realizing he shouldn't of all things give up his greatest advantage.

Gabriel rolled about taking a seat on the couch as he settled into a relaxed position as he saw Alexis at work. Honestly he was kind of curious how she'd handle lil' Zeke. He had confidence in her no doubt but this was a rather stinging curiosity. Mainly for lolz.

"Ant..Wexi....Eke hungy....Mill?"

OH. My. God. That was the most adorable thing he'd ever seen, it made Gabriel's cold features revert to a sobbing baby himself so absorbed by the adorableness before he quickly shifted his gaze to gather composure.

'I'll never hear the end of this...'

"Oh. My. God. KKKKKKKEWWWWT."

The words mouthed in his direction as he followed them with his eyes around the kitchen, A grin on his face. Zeke was a player.... Already the youth was playing her. Skills.

"Gabe!?"

His eyes averting up pulling the rest of his weight with him with no clear rush to get into the kitchen but he eventually got there noting Zeke's curious nature and Alexis standing there with cookies. Not their cookies! One given to him would start a feeding frenzy and soon he'd eat all their cookies!

"Can we have one?"

What? What did she just say? Gabriel made a double take quickly shaking his head before the real equation came out.

"Can he have one?"

Eyes looking down to Zeke, the kid had a way with those eyes. Evil in a way how magical they were.

"Sure he's not our kid..." Gabriel smiled in a joking manner.

Kevala would have to deal with this little addiction later. Which in a way would be fun for them too. Note to self, invest in cookies.

Kevala was barely staying in the moment, her eyes wanting to close so badly but unable to do so, as she coughed up a bit more blood, what lingered in her lung that had been punctured by the bullet she took the cell phone from Nathaniel.....The one she had been begging him to give her.......

Seeing as how she dropped hers in the car.

Struggling to focus her eyes, she navigated through it til she found the messages and began to type out a quick txt message, her wording a bit, off......given she was still pale, weak and essentially dying..........

Punching in his number she then hit send, letting her hand fall to the side with the phone still in her grasp...breathing raggedly she struggled to remain awake, though her eyes began to slowly fall shut........

Zeke followed to the kitchen, his hand wrapping about two of her fingers as he tried to keep up. Damn big peoples walking so fast....

Then as they got into the kitchen she said the magic word...Snack tiem!!!

yay!!

Of course he was expecting fruit, veggies, or something non sugary, because yeah Mommy gave the good stuffs.....Or at least in his mind she did.......

Then came the word that caught his attention even more and had him sitting down and shooting out his hands in a grabby fashion.

"OOKIE!!"

WHOA!!!!!! SUGARS!!!

Then she called Uncle Gabe in! Curses woman! Sure that his plot for sugary warfare had been overthrown, he crossed his arms over his chest and huffed in frustration.......

Then the foiler of all good plans had entered the room and was now speaking...Zeke trying to pretend he wasnt really paying attention though he hung on every word......

Only one echoing in his mind.......

Sure.....

It was like somewhere in the distance there was music playing...the world was right again and instantly his little hands shot out as the cookie was then offered to him......

Oh noes!! The shiny must come out!

With that he reached in his mouth and retrieved the now drool covered and slippery screw, his little hand soaked with drool as he held onto it and then began to nom the cookie..making sure to get as much on his face as was humanly possible and as little in his mouth as he could manage. The only proper way to eat a cookie............

Oh yeah.......that was the right stuff.......Sooooo gooooood....

Alexis heard Gabriel's phone go off as she smiled at Zeke handing him a cookie. She ignored it thinking none of it.. everyone gets texts... Maybe it was Kev checking in like any good parent would. When Alexis frowned when she saw the shiny object leave Zeke's mouth. "Oh god.." she opened his little fists and grabbed it and waved it in front of his face. "No Zeke..this is ouchies." she smiled. "You don't want big booboos now do you?" she set it in the middle of the island so it was out of baby reach and she would reach in the box to retrieve two more cookies. She slid one in her mouth, half of it still sticking out as she would put the other cookie near Gabriel's mouth expecting him to snatch it up with his.

She looked back at Zeke with a warm smile as he gummed the cookie to death.

So.

Damn.

Cute.

She then looked over to Gabriel with that sudden realization.

"So nephew.... Does this mean Kevala fucked your brother? If so then.... Wow she really wanted to make you jealous haha!...oh...and good to know you have a brother...." then she paused. "Guess I shouldn't be talking when it comes to secret siblings..." she was guilty of lying about Olivia to Li and to anyone else she knew at the time.... as well as lying about Donavan to everyone including Gabriel. "When were you planning on letting me on this lil' bundle 'o' joy?" she asked with a smile and a playful nudge of her elbow to his side.

The phone going off in the background to which Gabriel ran to grab returning quickly enough as he realized that it was a text he didn't quickly gather the urge to read it rather enjoying this "family time" something he rather missed out on early in life and this was something of enjoyable.

Ignoring the part about Kevala and the mention of his brother Gabriel sighed leaning forward to nom the cookie in a single bit swallowing it quickly as he saw the opportune moment to strike his greedy notions and with such he'd lean forward biting the part that hung out of Lexi's mouth with something of a bittersweet kiss. Yes kisses were good but when it came to losing half your cookie things looked a little different.

"When were you planning on letting me on this lil' bundle 'o' joy?"

Gabriel chewed silently to himself for a second letting his saliva slowly line his throat before speaking figuring the cookie would leave his voice dry and decrepit.

His body went frigid. Cold with a sudden fear and realization. They may have to watch over this little bundle of joy. He reverted back to a faked sense of jovial banter as to not worry Lexi nor Zeke. To Zeke it'd be an easy cover seeing as they just met despite how intelligent he was Gabriel was one quicker at this point. To Lexi however, she'd been living with him for going on two years, chances are she'd catch on.

"Well actually its a surprise for both of us, I just met this little Bugga' a few weeks ago, hardly knew my brother was fooling around. Just like him..." His voice going from active to somber by its end hinting at the Australian he'd been picking up from Lexi.

Curses she took the shiny!! The precious was lost!! Nuuuuu!!!

Tears filling his eyes as she spoke of cursed owwies.....His mind darting from there to his hand as he held up the dirty little palm with the scar across it and spoke out through a mouth full of cookie......

"Owwie..."

Yeah he got it, but he didn't care...it had been shiny!!!

Zeke finished up his cookie, a feeling seeming to wash over him that made him uneasy. It was not from his Uncle, but more like how a Mom can tell when something is wrong with their child, yeah, something like that just in reverse.

Yet he just let it do its thing and whimpered ever so slightly. Not sure how to handle it or what to do.

Then as he snagged another cookie, he pushed himself up to stand as the adults spoke and took off, running ( his version of running ) to the living room and plopping down in front of the dino toy, picking it up and trying to force feed him the cookie.

Why?

Cause dino was hungry!!! He must eats the cookie!!

The cookie of course crumbling and falling on the dino, the floor and his pants.

Then, when it became clear that the dino did not want the cookie he set about eating the crumbs, until of course he remembered the papers he wanted.....

So he pushed himself up and moved to the desk thingy, looking up at it and then at the chair.......the desk.........the chair.......the desk........the chair...........

Quickly he pushed the chair out of the way, just enough that he could try and crawl up onto it, stringing his front half across the seat holding onto it and then trying to get his leg, which dangled off the floor, up onto it so he could climb up there.

Though of course he threw the chair off balance, feeling it wobble under his weight leaning to one side.....Causing him in his uncertainty to release the chair, his little body sliding off and landing on his ass on the floor.

Annnnnd tears filled his eyes, those hues shimmering as he felt his lower lip jut out and quiver softly as he sobbed a few times, trying to decide if it hurt enough to warrant a cry before he decided that yes it was..........

Closing his eyes, as tears cascaded down his dirty, cookie covered cheeks he sat there and he cried.....

"owwie owwie owwie...."

The words mumbled and yet clear at the same time, a deep inhale before he set forth on another round of crying....Too traumatized to get up and go find Uncle Gabe to pick him up.....

Alexis' brows furrowed when Gabriel snatched the cookie... Yeah he at least gave her a kind of kiss while doing so..... which was a nice touch... but still!

So now he looked at his phone and looked kind of stiff once he finished reading it.

Then her eyes went wide and her mouth dropped as she looked back at Gabriel with that sudden realization of what the text was intending. "Oooooooooh...." she made the face where someone would open mouth frown when they saw someone get hurt. "That's what she meant when she told me to tell you that the papers have been drawn up for you to receive full custody...." oh wait... must have slipped her mind to tell him that too....

*Thud*

She quickly looked to where Zeke was before..and realized he was no longer there.

"owwie owwie owwie...."

"Shit..." she cussed under her breath.

Gabriel didn't fight her when she took his phone, he felt it was only natural for her to take his stuff. And let alone he didn't have anything to hide. His face grew cold and thoughtful being a horrible liar around those he loved and showing his true colors on the surface.

"Oooooooooh...."

His head cocked up as though there was something he was missing.

She'll be fine..... she'll be fine...... she'll be fine....

"That's what she meant when she told me to tell you that the papers have been drawn up for you to receive full custody...."


*Thud* *CRASH*

Gabriel's fist went through a cabinet shattering a few plates inside the copper twinge of blood filling the room but Gabriel didn't feel anything but the sudden heat.
"Stupid Girl..." He muttered beneath his breath. Eyes boiled with rage when he considered how much he hated himself for modeling this demise for her. No way he'd be letting her off that easy.

"owwie owwie owwie...."

"Shit..."

Eyes shifted again to Zeke, who had p and disappeared before targeting Lexi. A panicked expression in his eyes. He'd only block her way for a second. "I love you, theres something that needs to be done.... Take care of Zeke and I'll be back..." Gabriel said quickly tearing off out the front door sparing no time for anything but flooring the gas and hurtling the open text to the passenger's seat.

"Stupid Girl..."

Zeke caught the sudden surge in the air, he knew something was wrong with Mommy, he just didnt know what...and that only set to upset him more....

His crying growing louder as he finally managed to move, staggering toward his dino and picking it up to hug to him as he buried his face into it and sobbed heavily.

His butt hurt, his mind was all jumbled and he still had no papers to show for it!

Life was over!!

Big tears spilling down his face, he found himself a corner between to pieces of furniture and wedged himself in there. Hiding and sniffling and plopping his thumb into his mouth.

Since of course the blue binky was gone!!! Forevers!!!

Only sounds to be heard were the light sniffles and the gentle sucking noise created by the suction of his mouth to his thumb.......

He was a seeeeeepy baby and yeah seepy babies dun do so good with bad stuffies......

Alexis Flinched and cowered at the sudden action Gabriel chose by smashing the cupboard. She most definitely had a look of shock and fear as she watched him storm out of the house. As Lexi stood there she shook her head confused at what was going on.

"Bye?"

She knelt down and picked up some bloody shards of plates that he had smashed and tossed it in the garbage to sweep it up so if Zeke were to enter the kitchen he wouldn't get cut.

Alexis walked into the living room and looked around for Zeke and eventually found him hiding in the corner sobbing quietly. She knelt down in front of him now hugging her knees and her chin pressed in the tiny nook both her knees put together made.

Her hand would reach out and brush the baby soft skin of his cheek to dry his tears.

"Everything is fine..." she promised, but unaware whether he could understand or not. She was hoping everything was alright. First Kev was shot...Now Gabriel went after her. What are the chances he was going to find the same fate? Did he even know where she was? She sighed reaching her hands out. "Want up?" She couldn't keep the thought out of her mind that what if Gabe did have feelings for Kev? It sure seems like she is a big part of his life. Kay... now all she had to do was quit thinking like that. Her shrink told her to calm down and don't over think things.

He loves you...not her...he loves you...not her.

A little inner pep talk couldn't harm anyone?
