Roy sighed. This had probably been a bad idea. He didn't exactly own any date clothes, but he had gotten dressed in his best. A pair of new black jeans, nice black shoes, and a black long sleeved shirt concealed by a blue jean jacket.
He looked great, but it would have to be an informal dinner, since he didn't exactly own formal clothes. He really hoped Kirsty wasn't expecting formality. Because Roy was a failure at the formal, though he could do romantic fairly well.
He might not have seriously dated since Serenity, but there had been little flings. Little set-ups between him and other members of the families that comprised the Xing network. Little asian girls who were only interested in Roy because he was the adopted son of the head of....whatever kind of orginization the Xing family was these days.
A gang? Some kind of mafia? Who could keep track. This week they were a charity group. It wasn't really fun anymore, being a part of the Xing family, but he was getting sidetracked.
Tie his hair back, or let it flow tonight? Hmmm....
He decided not to tie it back, letting it fall around his shoulders.
He left the dorm, walking into teh parking lot and mounting his 1959 panhead Harley Davidson. Yeah, it required a lot of work to keep it in as good of shape as it was in, but it was an amazing looking bike. It was his pride and joy, too, the thing he currently put the most work into, aside from maybe getting an education.
Maybe.
Okay, not really. He put more work into the damn bike.
He left hte dorms, winding through the city to the destination Kirsty had given him. She didn't know he was coming on a bike, and he hoped it didn't upset her too badly that he didn't have a sidecar. She would have to hold on to him as they rode to the resturant he had picked, a nice but informal place called Madame Ikezawa's.
He pulled up in front of her house, dismounted his bike, and knocked o nthe door with a smile, about five minutes late, however. Traffic had been a nightmare.....

I really need to redecorate...
Kirsty's failed attempt to distract herself came too late as she checked herself over once again, she'd gone with a look that said "casual but interested", she was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, rather like the ones she'd been wearing earlier today, she wore her Sid Vicious style biker boots, she had gone with a corset top tonight, it was plain black and left much to be desired and to top it all off she wore her black leather jacket.
I think it's a pretty good attempt!
As she leaned towards the mirror to apply a thin layer of lipgloss, she glanced at the clock, he was late! But it was five minutes, it was hardly the disaster zone, was it? Before she had time to dwell on the thought, she heard a knock. Her stomach felt like it was doing somersaults, her plan to calm her nerves had failed, miserably.
She took the five paces from the mirror to the door and took a deep breath, making a final desperate bid to be calm then opened it. Instantly she found herself smiling, tonight he looked reeaaallllyyy good, she was glad that she'd chosen to dress casually because now she felt calmer. "Hey, I just need to grab a couple things. Do you wanna wait inside?"

I really hope I'm not getting in over my head here......this is my first date in a long time.
"Alright, I'll wait inside. You look great, by the way."
Instantly, the song Feel Good Inc., by the Gorrilaz popped into his head. He didn't know why. Probably because his heartbeat seemed to be dancing to the tune of that particular song. He really hoped a certain vocie left him alone tonight, though Raven hadn't spoken up in nearly a year.
His meds were working.
Kirsty looked great, though. Dressed in a casual sort of way, except for one thing that always pressed Roy's buttons in just the right way. The corset top. God, he had a thing for that, and he didn't know why. It just set him of in so many ways, like the girl was wearing pheramones that said "ROY LIKES THAT".
Too bad the tiny ass asians he always got set up with could never pull it off. They never had anything up top to accentuate. Just little freakin' rails of girls.
To sum it up, he thought Kirsty looked damned good.
I wonder what she needs to grab? And I hope she doesn't feel put off that my family went behind my back and rented the damned place so we could have some privacy....goddamn Xings.
He chuckled lightly. It wsn't that he wasn't grateful, btu he had wanted something casual, not renting a whole damn resturant. He didn't exactly want to broadcast that he came from a wealthy family. It would ruin the whole biker image.

Kirsty fastened her locket around her neck, it was a family heirloom and incredibly valuable. She hardly ever wore it for fear of it being stolen, but this was a special occasion and she had to admit the locket definately drew attention to her impressive cleavage.
When she walked back into the main entrance she played with the locket to attract Roy's gaze, inwardly she was grinning, she loved to tease people and he was no exception.
"I'm ready now." She said, smiling as she played with a ribbon on her corset. She wasn't quite as nervous as she previously had been, she was more happy now.
Wow, he's gorgeous!
Shaking her hair out of her face, she chewed on her bottom lip. She didn't know what had come over her, she was acting like a giggly little schoolgirl with a crush, that was not her.

Wow. Jesus fucking christ, wow. She looked great. His eyes were immediately drawn to the locket she was toying with, and they followed it to...other areas. Then the ribbon.
Jesus christ did she know how to press his buttons already. The corset top, the cleavage. It was a good thing Roy was pretty much fearless, otherwise he would have more than an accelerated heartbeat right now. If he had been anything like he had been at 552, he would be stuttering up a storm.
Thank god he wasn't that weedy little shit anymore.
He looked her up and down in an exaggerated, flirty fashion, with a wide grin pasted on his face. He didn't figure he was good at flirting by any means, but he was trying, goddamnit.
"My bike's out front...I hope you don't mind motorcycles."

As soon as the words had left his mouth, Kirsty's eyes lit up instantly, she had somewhat of a fetish for motorcycles. Probably this was brought about the guys that she has spent the previous summer with.
"You have a bike? Awesome!"
She locked her apartment door behind her and put her keys in her small leather Sex Pistols handbag, her hands had begun to shake again, something she knew she was going to have to get used to around Roy, not that she minded.
Kirsty's apartment was on third floor of a twelve floor apartment complex, it wasn't overly expensive but it was comfortable. They descended the stairs in no time at all and were greeted by the warm evening breeze, the weather here reminded her of Phoenix, she had loved it there, it was the one place she always called home.

As they left the apartment, Roy's mind raced. What the hell would she say about the resturant being reserved for the night? His father had probably put out a heft amount of money for that, the skeez. If she liked it, he planned it. If she didn't, someone went over his head.
Either way, things could still work in his favor, right?
Okay, maybe.
As they approached his bike, he stopped, motioning toward it. He smiled. This bike was his baby, he had worked on it since he was around 16. It was the closest thing to a family heirloom he had, actually rebuilding it from his blood cousin's bike.
A 1958 Panhead was also a biker's dream bike. And, hopefully, a motorcycle fetishist's turn on.
"Sorry I don't have a sidecar....those really slow it down, y'know?"
The did, adding so much weight to a bikje really decreased the speed, and how sharp you could take turns. Besides, if he had a sidecar, she wouldn't have to hold on to him.
A hurr hurr hurr.

Kirsty grinned as she looked towards Roy's bike, it was a truly magnificent sight to behold, she'd seen her fair share of gorgeous bikes in her time but his truly was one of the best. She walked towards it and squatted down to admire the paintwork, she did this very slowly to accentuate each of her curves then smiled at him.
"It's so beautiful! Did you build it up like this?"
She ever so slightly ran her fingers over the seat, as if she were touching a living breathing creature, then stood up, re-adjusting her top. The sky shone a dark orange, splashes of pink were spread across it making an almost picturesque image. Her hair was up tonight, something she rarely did, it was in an elegant bun with a few stray strands trailing down her slender neck.
Kirsty studied Roy with a curious expression, he was definately a great looking guy but he had an air of mystery about him, like he was harbouring dark secrets. This was the type of thing that she could relate to, it may not have necessarily been a good thing to relate to but it was a start.

"Heh, been workin' on it since I was sixteen."
He smiled, proud of himself, and don't belive for a second he wasn't checking her out as she squatted. He was really tempted to whistle, just to tease her, but he restrained himself. That would be really bad form on the first date.
But he was already hoping there would be another date. The fact that she knew bikes was, well, in a word, hot. But enough stroking of egos, he mused to himself, even though she couldn't hear his inner monolouge getting horny.
He smiled as she studied him, holding back a lame comment that came to mind about having something on his face, and let her study him for a moment. Yes, the man had an air of mystery about him. It was probably because he was hiding that he was a wannabe mafia's golden boy.
Maybe in the future, the Xing family would have some real power, but right now, they were small fry compared to other mafia-like orginizations. Even if they did have more money than most, throwing money around could only solve so many problems.
But that was beside the point. He mounted the bike, and patted te seat behind him with a smile. Tonight would be fun.

Kirsty straddled the bike behind him, her body as close to his as she could possibly get it, glancing around at her surroundings. She knew that if her landlady saw her on this bike, she'd be out like a shot. Mrs Macready was old, so she liked the quieter, softer side of things.
She'd spent a fair amount of time on the back of motorcycles, so this wasn't a new experience to her, but he wasn't aware of her vast experience, this was going to be used to her advantage.
"Wow, this is kinda scary...." She spoke softly, wrapping her arms around his torso. She knew she was being obvious but she didn't care, she wanted him to know that so far things were so good.
As her palms rested flat on his chest, feeling the body heat radiating from his body, Kirsty could feel her heart pounding in her own. It was so loud she was sure he'd be able to hear it himself.
Oh my god...

Heh....kind of obvious there, but I'll play along.
"Don't worry, just hold on tight....."
With that, they were off. He revved the bike a bit before taking off, screaming out of the parking lot like a bat out of hell, laughing. He loved going fast. He might consider himself lawful, but when he was on his bike, that was all out the window.
When it was just him and his bike, he was the wind. When it was him, a cute girl, and his bike, it was fucking amazing. He sped up, pushing seventy for a few minutes, before dropping to sixty as he passed a cop, giving the man a grin before taking off. He was beginning to think he wouldn't get much of a chance to show off, until he reached a long, empty stetch of highway, about a mile and a half from the destination.
A mile and a half stretch of empty highway? He sped up, pushing eighty for a minute, then ninety. The front wheel of the bike began to lift up slightly, and Roy strained himself to lift the front of the bike. It wasn't easy, this beign a rather large bike, but he managed to lift it into the best wheelie you can get on a Harley Davidson.
And le laughed as he did it, hoping her grip would tighten up a bit. God, he was enjoying himself.
As they reached the resturant, he slowed, bringing the wheel back down. He hoped he hadn't made an ass of himself, as he helped her off the bike...and noticed that the resturant WAS in fact empty, and there were people waiting for them inside.
Oh hell.

As her legs shook from the rush of adrenaline, Kirsty steadied herself on the sidewalk, looking into the building they had come to a standstill in front of. The restaurant was beautiful, it was Japanese and what really astounded her was the fact that it was almost completely empty.
Huh? What's going on?
She pulled her bag up onto her shoulder and turned to Roy, a soft smile on her face. Her eyes glittered with admiration, at both his choice of restaurant and the man himself. "This place is so beautiful."
It took her a brief moment to realise that in the time it had taken them to get to their destination, the bobby pins that held her hair into place had fallen, thus allowing her hair to freely cascade down her back, like a thick, dark curtain.
Beautiful...

...this feels officially akward. Isn't reserving a resturant...and entire fucking resturant for the first date a bit much. I bet she thinks I'm creepy, now.
He almost sighed. He had maybe thought Ryudo was joking when he called, saying the entire damn thing had been reserved for him. You never knew with an Ikezawa. Roy's family had likely put him in an akward position, but he couldn't show it, or risk ruining the whole date.
Like hell he'd risk THAT. It was good that he had a good poker face.
Goddamn my family....
He smiled, and it didn't seem forced at all. He didn't give off the air that this had been a suprise to him, but rather that he planned it. First impressions were everything in the dating world, and he hoped this wasn't a creepy one.
"Shall we?"

Kirsty smiled then pecked Roy lightly on the cheek, touched by his sweet gesture, no guy she had ever dated had rented a restaurant for their first date before. She found it shocking, but she liked it.
"This is so sweet of you Roy, no one has ever done anything like this for me before."
No sooner had the words left her lips, she realised what she'd done then pulled away biting her bottom lip. If she wasn't wearing pale foundation, her face would have been bright red. Stepping back, she smoothed out her jacket and glanced around.
"Erm... sorry about that."
Her voice was shaky, a sign of her nerves, but she managed to keep her composure long enough to walk into the restaurant with her arm linked through Roy's. Inside was even more beautiful than outside and she found herself in awe.

He smiled.
"No need to be sorry....just enjoy yourself."
And next time, aim for the lips....Gah, no, pervy thoughts. Still, even though she likes it, I wish my family hadn't gone behind my back.
Ryudo and his mother, Madame Ikezawa, bowed deeply as the two entered the resturant. Roy had to bite his lip to keep to keep from groaning, they were pulling out all the stops. This really wasn't his usual style, at least for a first date. Maybe a third or fourth date, when the girl knew you well enough to nto be creeped out.
Now, the first impression would be that he was some kind of mafia guy. Something he didn't like to reveal right off the fucking bat. Unless they were the type to like that sort of thing.
But she had kissed him on the cheek, and then got all nervous. This was going well.
Roy was doing a good job of acting like he was in control, so far. His father would have been proud. Arm in arm, Roy was all smiles as they were led to a table. They were given menus, with another deep, almost comical (To Roy, at least) bow, and then they retreated a distance to take the orders when they were ready with them.
