Awkward Meeting (Jack/Zeke/Open)

Well he had wanted to meet her son....Jack that is....and she had her own reservations, but at the same time she figured that it may be for the best. Unsure where this thing with Jack was leading and unsure how Zeke would handle people outside the family. Especially given the recent events that had left both a mark on Kevala and Zeke......

So, she had called Jack and asked him to meet her at the park.....Nothing too unnerving for Zeke and a place that was open and light and happy......It was the best place she figured...and would give Ezekial a chance to play outside, like he usually loved to do.

So, as she set Zeke down onto the soft grass of the park, dressed in his little t-shirt, his jeans and of course his binky clipped snuggly to him, she would in turn take a seat on the grass beside him.

Her hand coming out to brush over his cheek as he smiled and began to play with a few of the blocks and such she had brought along.

She wished Nathaniel was around more...Seeing as how Zeke needed a Father in his life...or at least somebody from that family to guide him........But at least he had Gabe....Right?

Shaking her head to clear the thoughts away she would sigh and lean back on her hands...those icy hues fixated on her son...Questions about how this meeting would go racing through her mind.

The sound of a high powered engine would grow as Jack turned the corner, holding back the urge to take a detour and release the newest of his toys. Jack’s GTR had just gone in for a new paint job, now finished with an obsidian metallic black the car looked even more imposing.

On his right was a park, as he drove passed he noticed a little girl sitting with a baby, passing the two, Jack would come to a crawl finding the closest park he would turn off his engine, pulling his jacket on Jack would lock up before casually walking over to the two. Dressed in his usual clothing except for a tie, Jack’s sleeves were neatly rolled up, his shirt tucked in the two top buttons undone, his silver belt reflecting the sunlight having just been polished. Black tailored dress pants and black Italian leather shoes.

If she noticed him walking toward them he would give her a wave with his right index and middle finger, before pacing over to the little duo. In the event she didn’t see him Jack would continue to move toward them and when close enough he would call our his greeting.

Crouching down beside the two of them he would look directly at Zeke and with a friendly warm smile he would greet him.

“How’s it going little man.”

Jack’s attention would drift over to Kevala, it had been a few days since he had last spoken to her, apart from the random bump ins at school he really hadn’t spent much time with her. Training had been taking up a considerable amount of time in his life, not to mention his other duties.

“How are you?”

Zeke was not all too sure about play time in the park today. He was still lingering on the fact that he did not like the new people he kept running into nor was he happy about leaving the safety and security that was home.

He wanted to just stay locked away with Mommy where he knew the bad men could not come get him anymore.

Yet she had insisted on getting him dressed and taking him to play. Her emotions showing she was sure everything would be okay, which helped to put him at ease.

With a little yawn, he sat back in his carseat and looked out the window, not sure why but it was always so relaxing to see all the pretty stuff fly by the window of the car.

Though all too soon they had arrived at the park and Mommy had taken him to a spot away from everyone and set him down.

Wow!!

She brought the blocks!!!

He was happy with that and as she set the toys down he would begin to build his fort.....The one he would no doubt destroy once it had reached greatness!!!

Yush!!!

It was like it was built into his wiring to do such, and he never bothered to think on it............Cause he was a baby.......ANNNND he just liked to has fun times!!!

As he played there he kept watch over where Mommy was...But she was not going anywhere......Instead she just sat there with him on the grass and even helped to build the fort!!!

Yay!!!

Mommy was like the coolest person ever ever ever!!!

But then, somebody else arrived....Those eyes going up, and up.....and up until he was looking at the face of a new man....

Who spoke to him!!!

Ack!!!

The grabbed his blocks and started stuffing them behind him....

Though all that stopped when new man talked to Mommy.....

Crawling over the distance between him and his Mommy and working his way into her lap....Shifting around to sit so that he was facing the new person...Yet clearly defending his Mommy.......

Oooooor so he thought...........

In all likely hood it came across as simply wanting attention

But still!!!!

Kevala smiled as Jack showed up, letting him talk to Zeke for a moment before he turned his attention to her. With the question posed she would bite her lip and shrug softly.....Sure things had not been going all too well for her as of late, but then that was her own fault....Right?

"I am good. You?"

Her eyes shifting to Zeke who had been trying to hide his blocks but was now curling up in her lap, eyes focused on Jack and his emotions showing he was a little unsure.....Yeah...that was it....

Reassuringly her hand came up and brushed through his hair....A light touch but one that she knew carried much weight with the little one nestled into her lap.....

"This would be Ezekial.......Though we all just call him Zeke...."

Bending down she placed a small kiss to the top of her son's head. She knew he had been having a tough time of things lately but she hoped he would pull through just fine. She needed him to.....for her own sanity's sake.

[Jack]

"I am good. You?"

Jack thought about the question, he was working 13 hour days, he was jumping between his school duties, sport duties and the ever increasing pressure of working as one of Mr Carso’s drivers. He was being thrust into a world he always saw yet never was a part of.

”Good I guess, could be better.. although it’s nice to see you again, certainly something to look forward to.”

Jack would say with a weak smile, his eyes would flick toward, Zeke’s his eye brow raising as the little child gave him a cold stare. oh? Jack chuckled as he looked at her little one.

"This would be Ezekial.......Though we all just call him Zeke...."

“How old is he?”

Jack would ask staring at the child he couldn’t be older than 18 months although Jack had very little experience with children, he tends to find them annoying, even now the way the child sat in its mother’s lap Jack knew what he was doing, even if Kevala didn’t. Jack had just gotten successfully cock blocked.... >.> way to go little man.

Sitting there upon Mommy's lap, he would feel that soft touch to his head, bringing him to lay his head back and against her chest, those eyes still fixed on the new person as he grabbed his binky which was clipped to him, the one that declared him a prince of sorts, and popped it into his mouth......

Then came the kiss....and he would smile from behind the expanse of the small blue binky.

Yesh......he looooooved the binky.......<3

Then his name was offered up and he would shift his head to cast a look up to Mommy......

Who was this guy and why did she feel the need to speak his name to him?

Curious........

But that was something he would have to figure out soon enough. For as he turned his attention back to the new guy, he caught that look and read those emotions and it was enough to make him giddy inside......

Baby 1......New Guy 0...

Shifting in her lap, he nuzzled into her chest, his little face buried against her as he settled there and then cast a look out of the corner of his eyes toward the big guy as he spoke.....

Attention then shifting to Mommy to see how she would answer....

Not that he understood what they were talking about, but he knew all too well the emotional patterns that people gave off when they talked......So that is what he listened for now.......

She could not possibly like new guy right?

Kevala simply wrapped her arm around Zeke as she felt him begin to snuggle into her, her mind never really thinking that he was up to anything other than being his usual loving self...........

Her attention more focused on Jack as he spoke, a smile breaking across her lips at his comment and a little shy look given.

"It is good to see you again to. I am sorry I have been so busy....Just with...recovering and...family...Its been a bit much.."

She left out the fact that her real family had tried to make her into some kind of freak science project.....and that they had almost done the same to her son.....It was something she really did not want to talk about while Zeke was so near......

Then came the question about Zeke and she would look down at the boy and smile as she saw him looking up at her. Those eyes always so curious.

Turning her attention back to Jack she would again smile that warm little smile she so often found reason for lately and speak up softly.

"He is 15 months old...almost 16..."

She nodded, her hand rubbing softly over Zeke's back as she soothed any ill ease he felt...Trying to show him that everything was okay......

[Jack]

"It is good to see you again to. I am sorry I have been so busy....Just with...recovering and...family...Its been a bit much.."

“Mmm, I understand”

Jack would say with a small chuckle, ignoring the pain in his shoulder. The recent knife wound had healed quite quickly, having made an appointment to see the doctors tomorrow to get a few more stitches removed. His body healed at uncanny rates he always puzzled doctors when they said he wouldn’t be fit for weeks and then he was up and walking within a day and back to 100% after a week. It would seem people with this rare ability were attracted to one another. Half the people in #774 seemed to heal within seconds of receiving severe injuries.

"He is 15 months old...almost 16..."

“He must be quite the handful.”

Jack would say trying to make conversation. His eyes falling toward the little one pressing against his mother’s chest. Baby 2 New Guy 0, Jack would sit down on the ground no linger wanting to crouch, crossing his legs he would place his palms beside him and look at the two of them.

“I got a new toy, I love it..”

Jack would chuckle, Kevala should know enough about Jack by now to know how much he loved his cars.

Okay so yeah, that is what he would be doing if he had not been sooo busy making sure he got the point across just who's Mommy this was.

HAHA!!

As the new guy sat down, Zeke's eyes lingered over to his blocks.....

Ack!! They were within reaching distance of new guy!!

Pushing himself free of Mommy he would crawl over to the blocks, making sure to give himself plenty of room from the big guy.....

Standing up he grabbed up an arm load of blocks, whiiiiich was about 4 of them and then carried them over to where Mommy sat, dropping them in her lap, and then going back for more...

It took about 4 trips to get them all but by the time he was done, the area of her lap was covered in blocks......

Then, she sat down....right on top of them....Yush!! Hide the blocks!!

No new guy was getting his toys!!

With that he would cast the new guy a look, having heard one word he recognized.......Toy........

Which meant he had to be plotting the taking over of Zeke's toys!!

Oh nooooes!!!!

Well that just meant that Zeke would have to plot a counter attack before any damage could be done....

Kevala felt Zeke push out of her arms, figuring he was going off to play only to find out that he was using her as the all time guard of the blocks.......

Which was fine, she did not mind and even shifted so that he could easily unload all the blocks he carried over onto her.

Then as he continued she would smile and nod at Jack, her eyes shimmering in the light of the sun.

"He can be...Though I would not trade it for anything."

She held that smile and gave a soft laugh at his next words. Yes she was content at the moment and as Zeke settled back into her lap her arm went instinctively about him.

"Mm...yes I do know how you love your toys. I wish I could get into cars as much as you do. I have just my two, though that is all I really need."

Her hands working to try and get Zeke to sit beside her now....that way she was free to move about....But the little bugger was glued to her lap it seemed....His little head once more coming to rest against her chest.......He sure was cuddly today....

Surely he wasn't.........Nahhh....What the hell was she thinking? Like a baby would plot like that. Pft!

"I am happy to be spending time with you though. I really have missed you. It seems like even in school I am so busy as of late that I dont have time for much else...."

She sighed, her eyes lowering slightly as she bit softly over her lip.

[Jack]

"He can be...Though I would not trade it for anything."

“I’m sure he knows that.”
Jack’s eyes would drift over to the little one, staring into his bright blue eyes, smirking as he did so he wondered what went on in his head. Little did Jack know that there was much more to Zeke then meets the eye.

"Mm...yes I do know how you love your toys. I wish I could get into cars as much as you do. I have just my two, though that is all I really need."

“Oh it’s very easy... I’ll show you sometime.”

Jack would chuckle, he noticed the way Kevla tried to remove Zeke from her lap, possibly to allow her to move toward him? The baby didn’t move Jack here jumping to conclusions and all could only reason that the child was going against the bro code.

Baby 3 New Guy 0

"I am happy to be spending time with you though. I really have missed you. It seems like even in school I am so busy as of late that I dont have time for much else...."

“I’ve missed you too and I do enjoy spending time with you. There’s no hurry I’m not going anywhere, I’m always a phone call away, you know that”

Jack would say as he turned his head to the side looking at the girl that’s come to mean so much to him in such a short period. He really needed to find a new routine...

[Ezekial Seran]

He felt Mommy trying to get him to move, yet he was not budging, his little hand gripping her shirt as he continued to suck on his binky. Completely content in knowing he was winning this little game.

Yes.....a game....Heh....

Naughty boy!!

Just then he felt her hand tugging at his, pulling him free from her and then his body was shifted and moved to the side....

Placed on his butt he was soon met with his blocks as she cleared her lap and started to move away from him........

Toward......

*GASP*

NEW GUY!?!?

Oh hell no!!!

His lower lip jutting out as he started to cry....Not a tear in sight but the facial expression and the sobbing there none the less....

"Eke wan Unky!!"

He always seemed to ask for him more than he did his Daddy...for the simple fact that he spent more time with the man.

That of course caught Mommy's attention as she stopped in her motions, sitting back down and picking him up to cuddle him and reassure him.

Sniffling lightly he would bury his face into her chest and then shift just enough to peek over at the new guy.....

Finally Kevala was able to pull Zeke's hand free from her shirt, her body shifting onto her hands and knees so that she could crawl the distance between her and Jack.....

Only as soon as she did such there sounded out a cry behind her, instantly stopping her in her tracks as she heard those sobbed out little words.........

Aww....Poor little thing....

Of course her Mom instincts dictated that she comfort him, so as she sat back down in her original position she lifted him up and settled him in her lap, her arms wrapping about him to comfort him as he buried his face against her....

"Shhh....Its fine. You will see him soon enough."

She smiled, letting him settle down as she turned her attention toward Jack.

"Well I think I should be calling you more often. Been very lonely without you around.....I am hoping we can start spending more time together..."

Another shy little smile as she took to biting her lip once more and then figuring if she could not leave Zeke behind to move then she would move a bit closer with him in tow......

Shifting her body so that she was seated closer to Jack, all the while her son nuzzling and cuddling into her.

[Jack]

And just like that, all the feelings for Kevala came rushing back to him. With much anticipation of holding her again, feeling her after a few days of not being with her it had driven him insane. Not to the point where he couldn’t function yet he was noticeably more high strung than usual. It was as if having Kevala around made the stresses of life go away.

"Eke wan Unky!!"

Jack died a little on the inside.

"Shhh....Its fine. You will see him soon enough."

Jack watched with a certain level of curiosity as the vicious cat known as Kevala Katashi, the tormentor of souls, the punisher the devil of #774 turned into a little softy over her child. He never understood the attachment of children, then again he never had one so of course he wouldn’t know. The closest thing he ever had to a little brother was Simon, when he died it was as if someone slammed a hole through his chest with a sledge hammer.

"Well I think I should be calling you more often. Been very lonely without you around.....I am hoping we can start spending more time together..."

“I’d very much like that, mmm Phoenix get’s... irritating after so many hours with him. You’re always welcome in my home. You know that right?”

Jack’s eyes followed Kevala as she and the little one moved closer, it was as if the air around them grew hotter. The closer she came to him the hotter it got, it wasn’t an uncomfortable heat it was peaceful nearly relaxing.

“I’m glad you called.... I was just planning on sleeping all day, this is much more fulfilling.”

Zeke felt her comfort him, hearing that he would see Unky Gabe soon enough and that seeming to work...Though honestly he was more interested in the fact that she stopped away from the new guy to comfort Zeke.....He was good.....

But then she decided to move not only herself but him as well toward the new guy.....

Shifting in her lap to lay down he put his feet out over her legs in the direction of the new guy as he laid back.

Yeaaah.....come closer .... See what happens!!

Sucking on that binky with a bit of a furious nature he kept those cerulean eyes on the new guy, her hands toying with Mommy's shirt in an idle fashion....

Then.....She....She......She leaned over and rested her head on the guy!!!

Enough that it made Mommy pull away to keep him from hitting the new guy again.....

His eyes cutting toward the new guy as he smiled innocently behind the binky and then went about reaching up and grabbing Mommy's necklace to play with, his foot still kicking as to abate any suspicion......
