The differences in us all

To be different the start of this very unusual turn of events started with the steady flow of unending music in her ears that akin to the night before where Jayr had fallen into a sleepy lullaby. Dreams of penance and an unrelenting happiness eased away at her mind filling her morning with a slight disappointment that she had to leave her wonderful dreamland. There was strangely enough a prince in this fairy tale which was odd in her dreams, though she attributed the cause to the name of the song and along the ride to school she'd implant the fact that it wasn't actually a prince but a metaphor for being her own savior.

Hallways a bustle with the regulars, Jocks, players, and nerds filtering the hall never giving each other more than a once over and already sure of what the others were and having them down to a pin drop at that. She was probably considered by most to be the bubbly sort, but then again in her short few days she'd gotten the reputation of being a total bitch which clearly she didn't mind.

"Yo four eyes!"

The rattle of lockers redirecting her vision as the cerulean hues she sported fixated on a group of kids decked out in studs holding up a poor little math nerd.

"Why don't you just open up the locker and give us your test answers already it'll hurt a lot less that way."

"Best let him down before I knock your last tooth out inbred!" Jayr found herself snarling at the boy standing beside him with a leveled glare eying him up to drop the boy.

Donavan was sitting on the floor in the hallways of the school. His books were piled in a neat pile near him as he leaned against the wall. His head had been tilted back as his eyes wondered to the students around him. He had no interest in conversing with them or making friends... That is why he was just watching people walk by as he waited for class to start.

He fashioned some of his more down to earth clothes, yet people just stared at him... this way people questioned if he was goth or emo rather than just gay. He was more glamor really...highly influenced by the band KISS if anything. Some people just needed to learn some style 'is all.

His attention was brought to a bully. He was tossing around a kid begging for his test. Donavan smiled as he watched the scene. It was quite intriguing really. That nerd was going to be his boss someday... actually... take that back. The bully would be too low to be working for a big successful business the nerd would harbor.... he will find himself working at fast food all his life.

Donavan looked down the other way of the hallway to watch as a strikingly beautiful girl walked down the halls... it should be a sin to be that hot. He stared as she passed by him giving his presence no heed.

Now how will he involve himself in a nice piece of ass like that?

He watched as she involved herself in the bully situation...hmmmm maybe that's how.

"and who's going to make me?"
Naturally that was no way to talk to a girl..even if she wasn't hot and he wasn't looking to pursue her he would still do something about it.

He would tap on the fellows shoulder and as he turned around he would smile at him.

"Me." Donnie would wind his fist and throw it towards his face...his aim was to stop short of his mouth just to scare him..but his depth perception was slightly off and he had driven his fist right into his face. The boy was down just like that and his teeth punctured Don's knuckles. Because it was so unexpected Don clenched his teeth trying to hide the pain he felt in his hand. He clenched his fist and hid it behind his hack as he gave the nerd and girl a bow. "I apologize about moy behavior... He was just a tool and deserved it.." he would say with a boyish grin..his pale eyes staring straight at the girl. "The noime is Donavan Green."

So dreams aren't just wishful thinking.

Through pursed lips Jayr almost spilled forward with her own little angry outburst. Chest flaring out and fist coming back quickly, the problem was her fighting style was best used in a defensive mannerism, which was unfortunate for this very obvious situation she'd gotten herself into before someone else stepped in.

"Me."

The bold man just a head taller than her lunging past her to knock the punk on his ass. It was quick and hasty enough so that she wasn't taken up in the flare of it and nor was the nerd behind her who had evidently lost interest in both his aggressor and savior but was now in a stammering drool ridden sensation at her side.

Though there was something about this guy she'd already been drawn to. Course she'd always had a thing for great eyes and dark hair. Something that she exhibited herself.

"I apologize about moy behavior... He was just a tool and deserved it.."

That was peculiar, She'd cock her head to the side and lean back on her hips finding a slanted stature to meet him. Cute he had a hot accent. Jayr found herself performing the certified check up on herself inconspicuously her tongue going over her teeth and lips and a hand moving up to check her hair.

"The noime is Donavan Green."

She'd giggle slightly and extend a hand out with a limp wrist of sorts her eyes visible through slitted eyes her lashes batting in slow rhythmic patterns. "Jayr Byrne...a pleasure."

She'd manage a smile barely noticing the gocking nerd who'd managed to lurk just outside the actual conversation, his glasses heavily fogged as he shifted glances between the two trying to go just unnoticed as to slip some secret message between the two.

He smiled that charming smile as she introduced herself. She held out his hand and he simply too hers into his and leaned down to press a gentle kiss to the back of her wrist. Call it cliche all you want... but chivalry is dead and someone shouldn't make fun of something when it is a rare commodity and they are given the chance.

"And m-my name is Dan."

The nazaled tone came from none other than the nerd. Donavan, still smiling at Jayr, would reach his arm out and his hand would cup Dan's face... basically big enough to grasp his head...and simply just shoved him to the side. It would be contradictory to protect the guy only to nudge him off as if he was worth nothing.... but Donnie could really care less about him. He just needed an inning with Jayr over here. Now his attention had yet to leave the vixen ahead of him and so he leaned an elbow high and against the locker... now looming over her.

"Jayr? That... Haven't heard that befo-a." he smiled. "What is it? German...French?" he gave her a wink. Usually made girls melt in their place.

Lost between up and down.

Jayr flashed a wild grin back at him as he pulled of something she was somewhat disturbed by. Shoving the poor little nerdy pervert away. Something she was at a loss for the reasons why she was ignoring it, partially because of the fact that he'd just saved the boy and was a hero and partially because it was a total asshole of a move but she lingered there grinning through parted lips with carnal hunger unsure as how to approach him next be it scolding or flattery.

"Jayr? That... Haven't heard that befo-a." he smiled. "What is it? German...French?"

She shifted on her hip noticeably admittedly trying to draw attention to her curves as she batted her cerulean eyes at him trying to get a reaction possibly, she liked to play too and since he'd started the game she might as well try and play along. Till she'd won of course.

"German, Though I've never been to the place." She retorted back in something of a sharp and questionable nature, a biting remark that she'd expect to drive him into another series of pick up lines attempting at sweeping her away off her feet.

"Australian?" She'd fire back in a simply gesture pursing her lips in victory expecting she'd won this round of questions.

Donavan smiled. "Oh..what gave that away?" he laughed slightly while flashing her his famous crooked smile and wink. He also couldn't help but quickly scan her body as she shifted slightly...

Then he heard his phone vibrate in his pocket. He lifted his finger to tell her he would be one moment. He opened it to see he had a text from the devil.

I need milk.

He sighed.

This concerns me in no way, shape, or form.

He was about to put the phone back in his pocket when it vibrated again. "Wow... won't shut up." he said with a small laugh.

I need you to get me some...I'm making cookies right now. Maybe I will give you one....maybe.

He rolled his eyes finally sticking his phone in his pocket. He didn't want to leave the girl... he was getting somewhere! Hmm... maybe if he played it off as cool. "Hey...I was thinkin' about ditching school..Do ya wanna tag along? I will bring ya back befor-a last class?" he would ask her with puppy dog eyes. His very MANLY puppy dog eyes.

Phone etiquette

Jayr pursed her lips tightly out of irritation, yes she didn't like being ignored especially not for a phone let alone probably another girl at that matter. Jutting out her hip quickly to draw herself attention she leveled her eyes on him. This boy was obviously just another one of those low brows just like all those before him, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to tease his ass until he cried.

"Hey...I was thinkin' about ditching school..Do ya wanna tag along? I will bring ya back befor-a last class?"

Jayr would meet him with a smile coming out of her bitch mood and being more sultry than anything switching hips slowly as to drag the motion out.

"Sorry hunny, I don't tag along, but if you tell me where we're going I'll take the lead."

Puckering her lips quickly she'd sheath a dark grin enjoying herself for a bit now, but this was just the beginning.

She didn't look too happy about the whole texting thing. He pursed his lips. If his sister made him luck out on a very very attractive girl.... it will be her getting the atomic wedgey.

"Sorry hunny, I don't tag along..."

THAT'S IT I'MMA TOSS ALEXIS' ASS DOWN THE STAIRS!

"...but if you tell me where we're going I'll take the lead."

He perked his brow. Ok... Alexis got one Jail-free card. He smiled his famous crooked smile as he stood up as tall as he could get and hold his arm out for her to hook hers into it. He tended to do the whole chivalry thing as a joke... but in seriousness at the same time... Kind of like... Doing the girl a nice favour...but making fun of himself for doing so to get a laugh. He put on a fake regal expression.

"Maybe get a bite to eat? Then go to the grocery store to buy milk for my sister..." he would say the last little bit quietly as if trying to make her not hear what he was saying..yeah it was audible, but he was just making fun of himself for doing an errand for his sister. "So will you do the honor of leading me there?"

"Leading" The way

Jayr smiled quickly, okay she had to admit he was kind of cute and she was a bit of a sucker for accents and tough guys. The chivalry however could go so long as he treated her as an equal which she'd take up by quickly skipping to his side taking up his arm offer.

"Maybe get a bite to eat? Then go to the grocery store to buy milk for my sister..."

Her lips puckered up quickly before parting narrowly with a cunning little smile entail, "You paying? Then by all means." Jayr giggled quickly the question out of courtesy, she didn't like lying to people so being straightforward was often found as bitchy, she preferred calling it simply as it was. Honest. Though people often couldn't handle the truth.

Then of course it struck her, the errand was for his sister? Awwww That was really cute, most boys didn't have the courage to even admit that. HEr grin widened parting for the sake of speech, "Cute, doing errands for your sister."

She'd giggle lightly imagining a small little girl incapable of going out on her own and needing her big strong brother to manage the duties for her. Adorable.

"So will you do the honor of leading me there?"

"You paying? Then by all means." Donavan couldn't help, but laugh at the blunt attitude. Luckily he had a gig the night before and got enough money... yet again he wouldn't have offered to go eat if he couldn't afford her...

"Course." he would give a small nod.

"Cute, doing errands for your sister." he paused while walking..making an apparent flinch at her words joking that he was embarrassed. He could really care less about doing errands... only reason why he didn't want to was 'cause he was in school and he as trying to pick up a girl...luckily he was a smooth talker and got her to join him. Her glared at her with pursed lips then started walking again. "So." he would say in a boyish tone just to further the joke. He lightened up of course..smiling that boyishly handsome smile.

Now as for the leading.

"Then again, I Don't exactly know where you live." he let out a chuckle and opened the door to the exit that was closest to the side walk..they were gonna walk 'cause it wasn't far... they could eat....then across the street was the grocery store...then three or more blocks and it was Alexis' place.

"Well.. I don't live with her. She is the older sister.." he didn't bother mentioning that their family was broken up and he hadn't lived with Alexis in about...more than 5 years due to her running away from the abuse. "But I have a deal... you lead me to the restaurant... and grocery store...then I can show you where she lives and just give you the credit?" he said with his brows perked and a open mouthed smile.

A quick bite

"Well.. I don't live with her. She is the older sister.."

"Oh?" Well that sort of ruined her imagery as the small girl was quickly transfered with a girl older than him and probably just as tall, wide shoulders even. As the picture was drawn out Jayr would take a step back from her mental artistry and imagine a troll with fangs and a Frankenstein head cap. Note to self never take up art unless its surrealism.

"But I have a deal... you lead me to the restaurant... and grocery store...then I can show you where she lives and just give you the credit?"

A wide grin curled up at the corners of her lips. He was letting her win a bit too much well she'd just have to change that up a bit it was no fun when the games were this easy. "Fine deal, but you have to race me there."

Jayr would lean on his arm a tad to pull off her heels quickly weighing them by the straps before settling down a bit shorter than he was now freed of the platformed stress at her ankles and heels. "Kay go!"

She'd take off pretty quickly across the street stopping only a moment as a car ran the light before she bolted over to the low key burger joint across the street.

"Fine deal, but you have to race me there."

Donavan laughed as she used him to keep her balance to take off her shoes. "Do I now?"

"Kay go!"

And she was off....

Donavan shook his head then starting running for her. It was easy to catch up 'cause he had to admit he was a faster runner than her... But he was letting her win by only a sliver distance in between them. Once he would see her reach for the door for the fast food joint he would grab her at the waist and pick her up... then he would turn around and put her on the ground...only to back into the door and entering the building. Once inside he would lean against the door so she wouldn't be able to open it.

Before his act got boring and even annoying he would turn his head to look behind him and out the door window at the girl he locked out. With a devilish smile he would then open the door for her with a wink.

"I think I won that round. I'm sure you can do better than that."

Admitting a bit of the truth

Jayr would sprint pretty fast, at least thats what she thought, considering Jayr was a soccer player there wasn't much she couldn't outrun at least when she had cleats on. Barefoot was a whole other issue when Donnie bolted up from behind her pretty quickly, if she was winning it was a given win. The quick slam at the door as she won by a brief measure. Something that of course made her pout once her breath was caught although not much more than when he pulled her aside with a quick yank.

Something of a shriek came out though it was a little yelp of surprise and intrigue. The door slammed in her face as Jayr frowned and began pounding at the door.

"Damnit Donnie let me in!" She'd growl to herself seeing that charming smile on his face through the narrow window as she shifted her growl into a pout crossing her hands slenderly as she made herself look vulnerable and weak so that he'd let her in.

The doors parting to let her in where the girl would march in stubbornly tromping her feet all the way in. Something of a unpleased look on her features eying up the big man.

"I think I won that round. I'm sure you can do better than that."

"Well if you didn't cheat I'd have had you."

Jayr would quickly stick her tongue out placing hands on her hips in a very faux peeved fashion.

He would laugh and give her an innocent shrug and smile. "Well... I let you have a head start..I was just making up for lost time." He would walk towards the clerk and would wait for her to make her order... Then he would make his.

"I would like...... a cheese burger and a large drink...and large fries." he was a big guy... and had a big appetite. As he ordered he took out the estimated amount for their food. He was close, but of course gave the clerk more than he needed and he received the change.

"Where would you like to sit, gorgeous?" he would be holding the tray that had both of their meals on it...waiting for her to pick the preferred seating. He usually liked letting the girl pick so she could be happy... some girls like the window seats..some like the tables in the middle of the restaurant...so on and so forth.

Flirting with Disaster.

Jayr grimaced at his reply, sure she didn't like losing, but seeing as he was bending the rules to his game to win, it was cute yes but he wouldn't be getting away with it all too soon. One day she'd have vengeance.

"I would like...... a cheese burger and a large drink...and large fries."

Jayr would hold out an arm suggesting that she was next with something of a school girl mannerism to her motions edging the clerk forward to facilitate for her by coming a foot closer in her direction, "I'll have what he's having." In something of a rhetorical witted reply. Trying to be somewhat humorous under these conditions was hard, when it came naturally that was best.

"Where would you like to sit, gorgeous?"

Jayr smiled with a slight blush the rosery coming to her cheeks. Damn did she like getting compliments, not like she needed them having a strong enough self esteem but they always seemed to brighten her disposition throughout a given day.

"Ermm, Lets go outside." Jay'r suggestion in an upbeat manner somewhat giddy as she sneak a look back at his the curvature and arch of her neck all plotted to expose a bit of skin at the nape of her neck.

In a few quick strides Jayr quickly chose her spot, one with her back to the sun setting over the towering backdrop with the cool ocean wind picking at her hair lifting it in smooth wisps.

"I love the ocean air." A quiet remark waiting tenderly on his appropriation.
