He looked down to see what she actually got..and yeah... he went a little bugged eyed. She sure was small for an appetite like this. These California girls really know how to put it down.



They went out side..he of course watching her every move as they did so. They way she carried herself was just soo.... confident.. soo... hot.

"I love the ocean air."

"Really? I'm not a fan... something about it.. I donno. It smells bad." just because he was trying to impress the girl doesn't mean he was going to lie to her about how he saw things. He was very truthful...just like Alexis and Olivia....well..Alexis more straight forward than an honest person...

He took a few bites of his burger and swallowed quickly...not really enjoying the taste.. just trying to get done a bit fast so he won't get his ass beat by his sister. "I lived in Alaska for a bit... Right by an Ocean... guess that was part of it." he stuck a few fries in his mouth and slurped at his pop. "Um...I should warn you bout Lexi before we drop off her stuff...."

He didn't want Alexis scaring her off now did he?

"Well... wear to start... she has mood swings... well.. if you press her buttons wrong... and well, she is a pathological liar...basically everything she says is a lie."

His family had always been known to down play Alexis...well at a point the all did it to each other... but of course most of it fell on Alexis because it would be easy to make the blame fall on her 'cause when she tried proving she was innocent... no one believed her... In high school before she dropped out... she lost all her friends and hung out with Olivia the whole time... 'cause well.. everyone assumed that everything she said was false.

"I think that is about it... though I'm sure she won't be bombarding or anything... she looks really harmless.... just do what I do and try and avoid making her say some smart ass remark...she really knows what to say to get under people's skin... I gotta give her that."

Such a nice brother......

"Really? I'm not a fan... something about it.. I donno. It smells bad."

Jayr shot him something of a dirty glance before concealing it very quickly, enough so that the glance was hardly visible for that briefest of instants, he was supposed to be agreeable with her, perhaps thats what directed such a harsh look. Then again looking back on it you couldn't have your cake and eat it too.

"I lived in Alaska for a bit... Right by an Ocean... guess that was part of it."

"Quite a change I'd imagine, I wouldn't stand to ever be able living there." Jayr would say with a controlled mock shudder signifying her distress in anything below 65*

"Um...I should warn you bout Lexi before we drop off her stuff...."

A brow would cock as she bit down into the burger silently. She really was a strangely quick eater, not in large bites mind you but rather in quick little nibbles slowly devouring the thing till it disappeared.


"Well... wear to start... she has mood swings... well.. if you press her buttons wrong... and well, she is a pathological liar...basically everything she says is a lie."

"Well thats not the nicest thing to say about your sister regardless...." Jayr would say quickly as she'd cock her head back a bit put off by his 'honesty' as though it'd been an attack against her.

"I think that is about it... though I'm sure she won't be bombarding or anything... she looks really harmless.... just do what I do and try and avoid making her say some smart ass remark...she really knows what to say to get under people's skin... I gotta give her that."

Jayr would finish the burger in a kindly manner and start picking at the fries one by one slowly pressing them between her lips with a neutral reaction, her body shifted back and away from him to a degree.

"I'll try to keep low key." She'd wink and then slowly roll her eyes. Yeah right low key was so not her, regardless in the end she'd play herself and result in a good or bad ending.

He set aside her remark about being mean to her sister. Why? 'Cause he was sure if she KNEW Lexi she wouldn't be sticking up for her. It won't help much that Jayr is a girl. Lexi never got along with girls. Barely got along with her own twin.

"I'll try to keep low key." he laughed at the roll of her eyes as he tossed a fry at her in a joking matter.

"You think I'm just being an ass do you? Nah.. Alexis is a reallllly cool girl if you don't piss her off... but I swear...One time she made a kid's life living hell because he gave her the 'wrong' look. I saw that look... He smiled and waved 'cause he thought she waved at him first... but really she was waving at me..." he laughed remember him cowering in the corner as she scolded him. She was known to hold grudges and hate people for the most simplest of things....

"But...you are a cool girl..so far that I can see... So I'm not too worried."

And he was done all his food now and finished off his drink...giving it a shake to hear the ice shift and to check if he had anymore left. And..no..no he didn't.

Now he would just wait for her to eat and then they would be off to the grocery store.

The food war...

Jayr would flinch at first giving a limp wristed slap towards the fry to reverse its trajectory down and into Donnie's drink. With a satisfied grin she'd retreat her hands again over her own drink a hand at the rim of the cup as protection while the other to tilt the straw into her lips bending it lightly at the touch.

While he gave his riveting story about his maniacal sister she'd arch her head looking up at his through big cerulean eyes parting her lips gently over the straw to lick its tip first before drinking from it, her lips sealed around it loosely before coming back a bit on the sloppy side but all planned. A devilish grin to her features with a wink back trying to tease him a bit throw his story off.

"So far as you can see...." She'd replied in a mocking tone before sneaking up and out of her seat still cradling the soda in her hands going down again for another drink.

"Okay lets go." The quick chirp upbeat and ready to see this sister of his just to laugh and say I told you so.

He perked his brow and a devilish smile was once again on his expression. The girl had a lot of attitude... which of course drew him more towards her... wondering if he could crack her... break her open and let him enter grabbing onto her... once he was in...he would own her heart.

He got up and headed towards the grocery store. He would shove his hands in his pockets and slouch his head lower and his shoulders were a raised...as if that would take off some of the height difference between the two.

"So... Why do you like the smell of the ocean? Curious... 'Cause to me it smells like salty raw fish." he would smile her way as he shifted his body so his elbow would nudge her a bit. They got into the grocery store and his pale green eyes searched for the fridge-ee section.

"Hmm... milk milk milk..." he would mutter while tapping his lower lip. He started walking down the isles to finally make his way to the milk. He grabbed a jug that was his type of milk...may not be Alexis' favourite... but fuck her she wasn't the one in the store. "Sweet.... Kay... Lexi bound." he would give her a charming smile and a wink of the eye. "Ready to look the devil in the eye?" he laughed a hearty laugh as he headed out the till. He paid for the milk and would get a bag so his hands wouldn't get cold..

What....

Once they were outside he would stick out his tongue and make a "bleh" sound. "The ocean." it didn't bug him that much... and the smile on his face would let Jayr know that he wasn't serious and just messing around.

------time skip to house--------

They approached the gates of the Seran mansion and of course had to get let in by the gate master. "Pretty spiffy place, huh? Caught herself a rich Frenchie."he said with a glutenous laugh. He didn't know how rich she was or anything..so how impressed she was will be a mystery... he was impressed.. but that was because they were not from a strong family... let alone strong financially. They would walk down the length of the drive way and he would look around the garden. "I can stand the smell of flowers...will choose flowers over the ocean any day. Alexis hates them... donno why she has a huge ass garden."

*knock knock knock*

"Fingers crossed." he said in a teasing matter.

Reasoning is half the battle.

"So... Why do you like the smell of the ocean? Curious... 'Cause to me it smells like salty raw fish."

Jayr would shoot back a challenging grin taking up his little game of asking one another silly little questions if only for a time and to get her inevitable point across because being her she'd evidently win out in the end.

"Well I've lived most of my life in a city that is veiled in smog and refer, I think this is a beautiful change in scenery." Jayr would giggle lightly knowing that this was a definite step up in lifestyles compared to Chicago.

Once at the little corner grocery store Jayr would linger behind him only but a step leaving her arms crossed behind her back in a contemplative nature tapping her foot as she admired that focused look on his face in his voyeurs for the elusive milk.

"Sweet.... Kay... Lexi bound, Ready to look the devil in the eye?"

Jayr would return his laugh with an obvious roll of his eyes in retort, so leaving bagged milk or not she'd still stand by her initial conclusion, his sister couldn't be that bad. Could she?

------time skip to house--------

"Pretty spiffy place, huh? Caught herself a rich Frenchie."

Jayr could only assume the tone in his voice was out of jealousy for whatever man his sister ended up with, maybe he was reverting from an insulting younger brother to the protective sort disapproving of his sister's choice in men to protect her from the harms of the world. It'd be dreamy if she'd only knew the backdrop to it all instead Jayr simply pursed her lips and settled her hands in her lap slowly feeling her nerves wind.

Her anxiety raising as she ignored Donnie's speech quickly realizing she didn't know these people. She'd never really taken the time to come up with an escape plan should things not turn out in her favor, why was she so nervous about it all? Fidgeting slightly as she would her hands on her front shirt unconscionably

*knock knock knock*

"Fingers crossed."

The tease only met with an anxious look before Jayr gulped hard and thrust her tongue out at him challenging his gaze.

Lexi was on the phone. She had the cookies in the oven and was talking with her shrink.

"...And that is probably why you think you are a failure in life."

Lexi cocked a brow while poking her glasses so they wouldn't be sliding off her face. "I didn't say I thought myself as failure..."

"Oh.... then why do I have it written down in my notes?"

She rolled her eyes a little annoyed. Man... he had been this way with her since she was fricken sixteen years old. He was always an ass to her and she was a bitch in return.

"Yes... do explain why?"

"Agh... Lexi... Do I have to explain everything to you?"

"I do for you all the time when you don't get something."

She laughed at the shot at his intelligence... she always made fun of his education.

*knock knock knock*

She would look in the direction of the foyer and smile. Good.. Cookies were almost done.

"Hold that thought someone is at the door." and with that said she would hang up without a bye or anything. She got up from the couch and tossed the phone on a decorative pillow. She was wearing a tank top and some short shorts... her raven hair tied back in a pony tail...which was rare for her... but she was making cookies. She answered the door while readusting her reading glasses.

"'Bout time.. thought you got lost in the store... The cookies are almost done-"

Her emerald eyes would shoot to the girl who was beside her brother... her gaze 100 times more intense than her brother's. A small smile came to her lips. "She looks new... Wow... you must have just met... man.. and you are already meeting me? Must be easy." she gave her a smile that looked pleasant... even though her words were completely opposite.

"How rude am I?" she would say with a laugh that seemed as if she were laughing astoundingly shocked at herself.. as if she were going to apologize for being rude to the girl...but instead. "Where are my manners? Come in."

Alexis opened the door with the sweetest smile on. He was actually hopeful she was in a good mood... then she started to speak. Well... Guess miracles never did come true.. Well she seemed like she was in a good mood... but Lexi's good moods didn't consist of being nice... it meant she was on a role of burning anyone in her path.

And did he smell cookies?

"Lexi....be nice. Jayr...this is Alexis...Alexis..this is Jayr.. Yeah we just met... But we are friends... she isn't going to sleep with me."

Yet.

He would step in the door with his hand falling to the small of Jayr's back.. it was to comfort her and to lead her in the hell... at least she wasn't alone.

"And I thought you needed the milk to make the cookies? How are the cookies almost done."

"I didn't say I needed the milk to make the cookies...I just told you I was making them...I ran out of milk..you need to dip the cookies in something."

Donavan clenched his teeth. He had to give her that... He knew she was in therapy... so maybe yeah.. she was getting better with lying.. wasn't actually lying... just dancing around the truth... Sneaky bastard.

"And you are so gullible...My hands weren't doughy... God if they were I wouldn't be texting you."

He regretted coming here. Alexis would walk off into the kitchen and he would lean over to whisper in Jayr's ear. "See? We are gonna say hi very quickly and leave...'Cause I don't want to be here either."
He would then lead Jayr into the kitchen...hehe...Hell's Kitchen.

Bad at first impressions...

Jayr took in a quick and deep breath as she straightened out trying not too look sloppy, for whatever reason she wanted to make a good impression but as things had been abysmal before now wasn't much different as she'd figure. Though Jayr managed to stop her nerves as the small girl who was Donnie's sister stepped forward.

"She looks new... Wow... you must have just met... man.. and you are already meeting me? Must be easy."

Jayr's smile would quickly shift to a drop, wide and somewhat shocked by the words exiting the small girl's lips. Wow that was harsh.

"How rude am I? Where are my manners? Come in."

Jayr's features changed back if slowly, somehow she was confused, unsure as to whether Alexis was legitimately kidding or being mean and with Donnie's warning of being a huge liar she probably was being serious. Regardless she'd remain in her shocked and confused state.


"Lexi....be nice. Jayr...this is Alexis...Alexis..this is Jayr.. Yeah we just met... But we are friends... she isn't going to sleep with me."

Just as soon as Jayr had recovered her features turned back to Donnie quickly with resentment as though the thought was in his head that she was easy. Now she was on guard and defensive no way she was letting him get any closer today. Dog house for Donnie and caution towards Alexis. Time to start formulating her escape plan.

As the cookie talk resumed Jayr began lightening up her taut jaw shifting to a loose and free flowing thing willing to speak up now.

"Do you need any help I'm sure I can give a hand..." Jayr would offer up kindly hoping to make an ally out of Alexis rather than a foe.

"See? We are gonna say hi very quickly and leave...'Cause I don't want to be here either."

"Shhhh, Not just yet I'm sure things'll turn around."

Lexi stood on her tip toes to reach three glasses and a plate.

"Do you need any help I'm sure I can give a hand..."

What did the girl get for such an offer?

Alexis turned and stared at the girl up and down. Pretty girl... decent...seemed nice.... Then she looked over at her ope of a brother who looked like he was sweating scared she was going to claw his new find's eyes out. Lexi would smile at him..making him shake in his boots before her eyes looked back at the girl.

"Oh I think I can manage... thank you, hun."

She could see the expression on Donnie's face. It looked like he was going to have a stroke. She smiled and would take the cookies out of the oven and fan them off with her oven mitt.

Aww look at her... lil' homemaker.

She was making the cookies for when ever Zeke would come and visit.... that and she and Gabriel did have a sweet tooth.

"So.. Jayr was it?" Alexis would poke at a cookie, but did nothing afterward because it was still soft. "Cute name." She looked over at Donavan once again. He looked like he wanted to GTFO. He knew she was a ticking time bomb and he was anticipating something. Alexis knew what it was, but it made her laugh inside. He hadn't realized that she had already made a good impression. How is this possible? She didn't talk back... Alexis was always sparked when someone talked back and would try to out do her. Though...didn't mean she was gonna let her brother know she didn't mind the girl. It was fun watching him squirm.

She would then grab a spatula and scoop up a few cookies putting them on the plate. She would hand them their glass then set hers down on the table and would pour the milk and set the cookies down.

"Have a seat." she would look at her watch... still had some time before Gabriel got home... she could use a little company. Pulling the hair tie out, her hair cascaded down..now that she was comfortable she took off her glasses and helped herself to a warm gooey cookie. "So... what are you two little shenanigans doing outside of school?" she knew the obvious answer to it... but she wanted to know what took them so long and why Jayr came along. So..yeah basically asking what they were doing... "Aside from me being a good 'enforcer' and making you skip class." of course she took a shot at her job. She hated it.

He was getting pissed off how Alexis would treat Jayr... and he was even pissed off when she refused to leave... instead.. she asked Lexi if she needed any help. Donavan would stand and lean against a counter as he kept a close eye on his sister.. She would look his way once in awhile with that sneaky little grin. Something was on her mind.

"Oh I think I can manage... thank you, hun."

Donavan's hands would drop to his sides as he went bugged eyed. She actually... was being nice in return? No..not possible. She would then start talking to Jayr which would make his guard return... no... it was possible she was being... she was just letting the venom soak in before she would strike the death blow. Yeah... she was waiting for an opportune moment to make fun of the girl.

Alexis would offer them a seat and he would take one...and a cookie as his eyes were glued to the beast. He would even ignore the question she had asked the both of them... why? 'Cause he was thinking of ways she would snap at them with their given answers... Yeah.. he really was on his heels when it came to his sister and anyone he introduced her to. Her being nice was the first time it ever happened...

That is why he was still uneasy.

Surprise Surprise

"Oh I think I can manage... thank you, hun."

Jayr would nod in silence making for a smile in return, she was trying to make a good first impression for once when often times it came off as bitchy or foul she was working on it.


"So.. Jayr was it? Cute name."

"Thank you." Jayr would blush briefly with a firm and effective smile, she knew things would all turn out fine and well if they'd just stuck this out for a little while all Jayr had to do was keep things normal and perhaps hope Donnie wouldn't be an idiot but of course she didn't know about his disapproval of his sister. Then why'd he bring her here? Cookies? Sure seemed like a good enough reason.

"Have a seat."

Jayr would take it up as an offering and pull herself up a seat between Donnie and Alexis choosing the diplomatic neutral space to perhaps gain favor.

"So... what are you two little shenanigans doing outside of school? Aside from me being a good 'enforcer' and making you skip class."

Jayr would grin as she crossed her legs and respectively placed her hands in her lap finding herself needing a dutiful response. "Well I came along for some amazing cookies, had a feeling it was worth the risk." She'd giggle lightly at her attempt at snobbery but hoping the light tone she'd sold it in would get a laugh from Alexis and perhaps put Donnie on edge that she wasn't here for him.

"And wow an Enforcer... Is that anything like the pillars?" Jayr would ask with something of a plan in mind, she was the nosy type always snooping for information one way or another.

"Well I came along for some amazing cookies, had a feeling it was worth the risk." Alexis laughed. The girl dished out her disses in a tasteful manner..unlike many women she had met in the past.

"My cookies tend to be worth all the risks." she would laugh then get asked a question.

"And wow an Enforcer... Is that anything like the pillars?"
Alexis smiled and nodded. She remembered being in school and just comparing everything to a pillar... everything revolved around the pillarship.... now she knew better.

"More like an under paid hallway monitor." she would laugh at the joke..she wasn't underpaid... she just hated Tyrone... hated certain aspects of the job...yet again... everyone hated their job...

Alexis' attention would shoot to the phone that was on the couch. It went off and she walked over to see who it was.... She had a frown on her face when she assumed it was her shrink...only for her to smile when she realized it was none other than Gabe.

"Hey, babe.... Yeah... I will be there in a few minutes... k... bye... Love you." she hung up with that dazed expression... still helplessly in love.

"kay...I have to go pick up Gabriel..... yeah you guys can stay, but I don't know what you two kiddies will do here its really boring..." all she had was a shit load of movies...art supplies... and a bunch of musical instruments... kind of boring for some people..though she loved it.

Alexis would get her coat on and would head out the door. "G'day! Nice to meet yeah Jayr." she would give her a sweet smile and would be out the door to pick up her LOVA!

He just watched with a guarding eye....and with disbelief as his sister..HIS sister... the evil twin... have a decent conversation with Jayr. It was messed... there was something about this girl... made him wonder if Olivia ever got to meet her if she would let the girl give her a hand shale...just because it would be so out of character. Next thing he knew Alexis was out the door and he absent mindlessly waved her goodbye before looking over at Jayr.

"You.." he would poke her in the shoulder. "Have to teach me how you did that." he would laugh and stand himself up and grab a few more cookies. "I praise your all mighty supernatural powers and give you props for actually getting my sister to like you...actually I'm just waiting for her to find the right moment to pounce." he would say with a laugh as he tilted his head to the door.

"Now do you want me to take you back to the school just as I promised?"

A nice exit

"You.. Have to teach me how you did that."

Jayr would simply match his tone with an innocent little smile and a shrug as she took a small munch out of her own cookie slowly. She would shy away from the fact that she'd made such an impression to start off. It wasn't often that she made such great first starts to begin with this was something wholly new, perhaps a good start for future encounters.

"I praise your all mighty supernatural powers and give you props for actually getting my sister to like you...actually I'm just waiting for her to find the right moment to pounce."

"Haha well I don't think it was really all that hard, just being genuine I suppose." She'd shrug innocently to look up at him still standing there with a bit of his cocky smirk. Silly boy, she would weave her way under his skin easily enough only needed to bide her time.


"Now do you want me to take you back to the school just as I promised?"

"Well I don't know, we came here for cookies right? And now we have cookies..... so...." She'd drag out the last word to draw out time perhaps, "Unless you have any other marvelous plans of distracting my attention I guess thats a good idea."

She'd smile brightly knowing his exact course of action, guys were just all the same in that facet, they'd be stubborn and try and capture her attention though somewhere along the lines she was hoping for something wholly new.
