Dew Dew Dew Dew Dew.
The bouncing jovial natured Guy found his way skipping into school today. He wasn't affluent enough to have a modem of transportation, no car or bike, he was lucky to have the spare change to get the bus ride to school. But he rather enjoyed walking, it gave him fresh air, or what could be qualified as fresh air in such a polluted area. At least the bad men weren't after him that would keep such a smile on his face.
"Heyoooo!" He'd exclaim in the air cupping his hands to shout into the air.
No reply in return and Guy's expression shifted sadly. So it seemed as though Midas was on hiatus at the moment probably off to breakfast something Guy only got a brief touch on getting shoved out of the home quickly. Well some food was better than none at all. Still the bitter taste of refried beans lingered in his throat. There was bound to be a way to get rid of that.
Stepping forward onto the school's front lawn Guy searched the school's front yard in a dynamic and observant nature. He'd never been to a public school before, not since he was six so this was blatantly different not knowing the technologies nor kitchen areas in which to get a drink so his eyes lowered lingering towards the grass.
"Meh.." With a quick shrug he'd lower on all fours slurping the dew on the grass. HE NEEDED THE ENERGY!!!

The school grounds. I don't often come to places like this anymore, the most obvious reason being I'm nearly 21 years old and not enrolled in college either. The other reason being that, well, it brings back memories. Memories of a school back in New York City, a rusted, dirty place where the blood had splattered the walls so often that they were forever tinted shades of red. A tumultuous time in my life. I went from zero to hero to dead man in less than four years. A few good times, lots of bad times, and plenty of scars to remind me of each of them.
This school was different from PHS #552 of course. Here on the West coast it was a little newer, a little more open, though none the less violent. I could smell the conflict in the air the moment I stepped through the gates. The scene may change but the story never really does. I was chilling on a wooden bench, watching the students filter in for the morning's classes. I had special rights as a former Pillar to enter and leave the school grounds at will but I was still subject to the same punishment as the students if I got out of line. No classes though, which was a bonus. Though I could no longer fight for titles like Captain and Pillar, I could still try to exert my will, if I chose.
For right now though, I was content to relax. But soon enough my attention was drawn to a tall though relatively thin man...licking the grass. I stared at him for a moment, one eyebrow cocked upward. I'd seen a lot of things in my short life. I'd watched a bullet pass through the palm of my hand, I've seen guys unleash electricity through their skin. I even saw a guy crucified to a wire fence before. But I'd never seen somebody lick the grass before. I turned in my seat to face the kid and called out,
"Sorry to pry man, but...what the hell are you doing?"

With the taste quenched and now the leafy remnants caught in the back of his molars Guy rose using his tongue to fish out any leaflets that were still pressing in his mouth.
"Sorry to pry man, but...what the hell are you doing?"
Like a deer in the headlights guy swiveled about to see the guy sitting at his perch. His eyes darting to the guy's chest measuring that he looked fairly buff for most teenagers. Then quickly averting eyes to his face seeing the features matured and sharp. Too old to be a teenager it'd seem.
All the while Guy simply shifted upright fixing a stupid grin on his face and raising his hands just above the hips into a shrug as though he were innocent. Never got caught in the act of perversely doing something stupid or when he did he'd make it look at least respectable but liking at the dew was something that was hard to cover up.
"Ummm...." He'd speak quickly eyes rolling up into his head as though the answer to his question lurked just above his brow, "Gaging the temperature at which the dew forms.... something of an assignment."
Guy would pronounce straight forward and innocently enough to find his way out of trouble at least it'd work with a teacher and get something of a concerned look or rolling of the eyes.
"So I see you're studying the arch of that bench," He'd say with a bit of sarcasm to his voice winking as to alleviate his own sense of tension. "good plan.."

I grinned. His answer was a total lie. But at least it was a charming and humorous lie. I knew because his science was off, and if it was an assignment, he'd have known better. I leaned back a little into the bench, looking down at it as I did. "Close. Structural integrity testing. Seeing where the weak point is." I lifted my head back up, grinning the whole time. I was a liar too, and if the guy was anything like my snap judgement believed, he'd see right through my lie too.
I rested my arms on the back of the bench and said, "For future reference, temperature doesn't really matter with dew. It's about the saturation point, when the air can't hold anymore water and droplets form. It could be any temp." I slid my sneakers over the wet grass below my feet. It was amazing I could remember that. Guess just being on campus had jogged my fried brain a little. I leaned back, cracking my spine with a few audible pops, and finished by saying,
"I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're new here..."

"Close. Structural integrity testing. Seeing where the weak point is."
Of course catching his drift Guy would return a foolhardy grin cocking his head back and shooting him a win. In the same instant his hands coming up into the shape of guns like Fonzie would do. 'ehhh'
"For future reference, temperature doesn't really matter with dew. It's about the saturation point, when the air can't hold anymore water and droplets form. It could be any temp."
Setting aside his "guns" Guy would stare as his elder caught his bullshit. Oh so it seemed as though he'd not be getting away with that move again.
"I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're new here..."
"You've caught me." The steady smile and in a mock gesture his hands entered the air space above his head in surrender.
"Guy Nottingham, nice to me'cha." Guy would say still at a distance though slowly progressing closer.

Liana couldn't have a worse start to her day - but she was running later then she wanted for school. Juggling a few things in her hands, a spiral notebook, a folder filled with registration papers, key's and her cell phone - she got out of the car. It wasn't the best of mornings for her, for starters - there had been a mix up with her dorm assignment so she hadn't been able to move in. But she had managed to borrow the car from her dad - his baby and he probably was more worried about it getting a scratch then her at the moment. Of course it cost more then her. Not surprisingly Liana didn't have any mode of transportation and it wasn't often that her father allowed her to drive even though she had her license. So by the time she pulled up in the parking lot of the school she was wore out from being nervous and uptight from her drive over, worried that she might accidentally do something to the car... Between the things in her hands, and having her nerves sent through the ringer, (thanks to the threat of bodily harm if she messed up the challenger), and the outfit that was being a pain to keep up- she felt more like a mess then put together in anyway. The heel of the platform slingback pumps she was wearing got caught up in the seat belt as she tried to get out - as ladylike as she could manage. And to save herself from landing face first, ass end up from the car she let go of everything in her hands to catch the frame and open door. With a irritated curse and an on coming headache, Liana finally managed to get out without hurting herself then crouched down, reaching for the scattered papers she needed while she tried not to flash anyone in the parking lot. With no help, she was almost done and reaching for the last slip of paper when the wind kicked up unexpectedly sending that important sheet dancing out of her reach. "Oh!" she exclaimed bolting up to go after it, barely managing to remember to close the door. No! she thought to herself with distress, as she pressed the remote to lock the door over her shoulder. Holding the notebook and papers to her chest, her steps could be heard in a clipped, rushed fashion over the concrete as she went after it. A few times, Lia thought she might actually be able to grab it up, but the wind would pick right back up, causing her to straighten every time and hold down the back of her skirt. After a moment of the games, Liana grew tired and was close to giving up entirely on it, actually slowing to a stop, that was until the sheet caught on the back of someone’s leg, a few feet in front of her and it was then she realized her rushing had taken her from parking lot all the way up to the school. Seeing opportunity when it was presented, Lia’s pace quickened again, lifting a hand as she started over – her voice projecting so he could hear her, “excuse me! Can you grab that piece of paper? Please!”

I knew the dew guy was talking but I was looking right past him, staring at the latest scene to walk through the front door. Call me sleazy but, honestly, could you ignore a girl like that, dressed up like THAT, running around bent over? No? Didn't think so.
When the paper she was chasing finally came to a stop on the back of the dew man's leg, I chuckled a little to myself. It was kind of a cute turn of events. I hadn't seen cute lately. I stood up from the bench, feeling my knees pop and crack at the sudden movement, and pointed at the page stuck to his leg. "Looks like you got a friend there, pal. Mind helping the lady out?"
I started walking casually toward the man and the approaching girl, figuring they could handle the situation without me needing to hurry. I rolled my shoulders, loosening them up and adjusting the IMPACT vest concealed beneath my T-shirt. I rarely went anywhere without it anymore. Could never be too careful in this day and age. As I approached I said plainly, "Sorry man, I got distracted, you'll have to tell me your name again. Mine's Farren though. And you miss...?", speaking to the newly arrived girl in turn.

( Room for one more for the sake of socializing Talon a bit more!! And cause I can!! mwahaha! )
Talon was here, that was about all he could say for the situation. He hated school with a passion but homeshool was not an option anymore now that they were stable...not that it had been an option much any other time....Getting out of his car, he was dressed in his usual casual black slacks, his designer dress shirt and a pair of designer shades, his shoes making soft sounds against the pavement as he made his way up the walkway toward the school....Not paying much mind to those around him....
Not until a familiar pattern of lights and sounds hit his vision upon the sound of a familiar voice....A grin curling on his lips as he shifted his eyes about to spot Liana.....standing with two guys.....
Though he knew he had no right, he was male, and he felt that instinctual jealousy start to rear its ugly head in his chest....But he drew in a deep breath......calmed down......reminded himself that they were just friends...he thought......Hell he didnt know.....But whatever.....Couldnt be jealous.....
BUT that did not mean he could not casually make his way to where they were and introduce himself, say hi to a friend.....Nope, nothing wrong with that......
So that is exactly what he did, his feet taking him now in the direction of the trio...One he recognized upon closer inspection.....Fish guy.....ummm....Farren...yeah that was it....The other was new....to him at least......
Coming up behing Lia, he tucked his hands into his pockets and stood there, at his full height, as casual as ever.....he was good at acting...remember?
"Hey there Lia.......Need some help with those?"
Offering as he always had before to carry her load for her, gentleman manners still in tact, though he of course turned as he waited on her reply and nodded politely toward the other two.
"Farren right? Fish guy at the warf?...Good to see you again, and not knee deep in the middle of the water. Also I am guessing you dont have any fish to be tossing at me this time."
His hand extending in a friendly gesture to shake, cause he was polite and foreign.....What more would you expect?
Then to the other guy, he would do the same gesture.....
"Hey man, names Talon. Who would you be?"
His Australian accent heavy as he made his introductions and such. Whether or not either man decided to shake his hand, he would then turn back, step forward toward Lia a bit and extend both hands forward, suggesting she just surrender and fork over the papers...That wry little grin set in place......

OOC: Sweet the more the merrier
IC: Of course the attention span of this one was quite the glitchy one, as Guy Nottingham was quickly bemused by a swift chirping noise over his right ear. The wide eyed boy would turn about searching for the noise obviously dismissing Farren's reply though it seemed as there was none to be caught so in effect neither would be disappointed. But rather he was hit in the face with a rather lethal form of nature. Paper.
The fluttering edged form attacked his face wafting it for an instant with logistics, theorems and artistic musings before Guy gained a hold of it in his palm peeling it from his face to be struck down by he marveled beauty. He'd meet her with a stupid grin meeting eyes before darting them away to face back stupidly to help searching for the other papers scattered about the.... DEW. It was EVERYWHAR!
"Uhm yeah sure here you go." He'd say quickly kneeling to the grass unafraid to muddle himself in the grass and getting his hand on a few sheets that were in his immediate vicinity. "I'm Guy." He'd grin with a stupid yet charming smile sure he had something on his face that'd come off as embarrassing or foolish.
Not to long a fourth party entered over top. Can some one say sausage feast? Regardless Guy didn't take his appearance as harmful but rather opportunistic. Today was turning out to be a bit more interesting than he'd first suspected.
"Hi there." A bouncy and jovial grin on his face as he'd hand over the papers.

Slightly out of breath, but smiling as she approached, her pace steadily slowing down the closer she got, picking her way carefully through the softer ground once she stepped off the walkway and toward them. Her loose waves brushed into her face with another light - almost mocking - push of breeze past them. Coming to a stop in front of the two, that she obviously interrupted with her sudden appearance and almost frantic request. Her cheeks touched pink by the effort she put in, and in heels.
"Oh thank you," she breathed out taking it - obviously relieved and even if it was now a little wet from gathering the dew as it had been pushed along the ground. Both introductions came willing enough and both quite attractive. Giving them both an openly pleasant smile – something about the one on Guy’s face catching and the easily casual words out of Ferren’s mouth taking her attention, "its nice meet you both, I'm Liana."
Her hands were currently to busy with other things to give them much more then that but her attention was pulled to a voice behind her, familiar and making her turn in her spot. His offer to carry her things nearly caught her off guard distracting her from the abrupt notice of how he looked today, but she had time while he gave the passing round of introductions to straighten the papers she had pressed to her chest. Letting out another breath she lifted a now free hand brushing the back of her fingers across the side of her neck and around, so she could push her hair over her shoulder - out of her face.
Talon seemed to know at least or be familiar with Farren, but when he turned back to her, reminding with her with his silent intent for him to take her things for her she handed them over. Liana found that she couldn't exactly say no to him anyways, in particular.
She realized she might have broken up something with the two she had come up on, and was quick to correct that prepared to make her self scarce if need be, but the break in meeting a couple new people was what she needed for her rushed morning. “Sorry about that, I didn’t mean to interrupt anything,” with her hands relatively free now that Talon had kindly taken her load she was able to smooth down her slightly rumpled skirt.

It was a regular gathering of the minds, all of a sudden. I stayed back a few paces from the youngsters, watching the whole thing play out. I smiled and nodded to Liana and did the same for Talon (with a lesser smile) but ignored his handshake offering. I'm friendly but it was still early in the morning, I didn't want to move more than I had to. When the girl apologized for interrupting I waved my hand and said, "No worries, I was just helping him review his science homework."
Behind me the warning bell rang for class to begin. There'd be a five minute delay for the second and final bell went off signalling the start of the school day. I sighed, glancing around the yard as some students bolted for the doors while others lingered, probably getting ready to skip out. I remembered this time. Couples sneaking in one last kiss and enemies finishing up one last haymaker punch. I reached into my back pocket, looking for a ciggarette, and found nothing. Then I remembered I'd quit...cause of the cancer. Even though I'd been disease free for nearly two years I still caught myself searching for a smoke. I sighed again.
"Hey y'all, I don't have class so I think I'm gonna split. Anybody feel like blowing off school and looking for adventure in town?"

( OOC: Sorry for the delay )
Talon took the papers from Liana and held them as he turned back to the other two. Not really thrown off by the one had met before. Talon was above all else used to people treating him differently. Even when he gave them no reason to so he just shrugged if off and kept going.
Besides, he was more interested in the female of the group than the others. Not that he would be rude or anything.
Instead he would simply smile that charming smile and look about at the school. He hated still being new here, and with that thought he looked at the ...well...at Guy...and finally spoke up once more, his body shifting to stand beside Liana now.
"So you new here to?"
The comment from Farren drawing his attention away for a moment as he nodded toward him. A grin curling at the corner of his lips at the thought of ditching school though he motioned toward Liana with his head and shrugged slightly.
"I would, but the lady needs help with her stuff. Heh. Unless of course she is willing."
Those emerald eyes flashing toward Liana, daring her almost to do something not so behavioral or whatever.

"Oh thank you,"
Jitters in his stomach as the foolhardy boy grinned with an absent mind letting his eyes wander somewhat before going red with embarrassment hoping her attention hadn't been following his own. Damnit now he felt dirty, kinda like a dirt bag. Guy wasn't a dirt bag, at least he'd continue to tell himself that whimsically redirecting his eyes on hers. EYES EYES eyes, Pretty eyes, i wonder if she.... FU... No Kay.
"its nice meet you both, I'm Liana."
A shudder to his hands a bit nervously handing over the papers. he'd been to absent of female contact for a great while it'd take some getting used to. At least before he'd get warmed up.
“Sorry about that, I didn’t mean to interrupt anything,”
"Oh no problemo..." He'd say quickly mentally hitting himself for the overt sense of trying to be witty but feeling he should be darker, like the other two very coy about things.
"er ugh I was just yeah..."
"-Hey y'all, I don't have class so I think I'm gonna split. Anybody feel like blowing off school and looking for adventure in town?"
"Yeah that." A grin of sureness trying to act like that was his plan all along, Yup go with the flow.
"So you new here to?"
His gaze shifting off to Talon quickly. Something about his position directed towards Lianna unnerved him. Of course the welling heat of embarrassment rose in his cheeks as well as the pit of jealousy. Which was odd because Guy had no property rights at all knowing he'd just met her but.... there was always that one moment.
(Cue flashback of Guy's pervert moment)
Yup....good times.
"Um yea actually my first day, and as it looks that'll probably have to be postponed," Eyes darting back to Lianna as a masterful plan was initiating, "How bout it Lianna, I'm sure we can get all caught up tomorrow." Guy would chuckle before turning to Farren with a nod. Cool thing meeting new people, perhaps he should do this more often.

( OOC: Not to spoil the party but she hasn't met most of ya peoples!! LOL Soooo enter crazyness!! )
Kev was walking by, honestly just minding her own business and being a good girl for the most part. But then, she heard a familiar tone.....
Farren?
What the hell was he doing here? Her brow raising behind her sunglasses as she stopped and turned toward the direction of the sound....Spotting him, with three of the students, she felt her curiosity rise, which was never a good thing......Usually for her, but yeah, maybe not this time.....Heh
Dressed in a black baby doll top with a pair of jeans and boots, she moved toward the little group, slowly at first, almost as though she wasnt really listening....Until she heard something bout skipping school.....
Heh...Naughty Naughty!
A grin tugging at the corner of her lips as she heard them start to comply and try and get the girl to join in.
Well this could be fun....Much fun....
"Farren? Didn't expect to see you here."
She approached the little group, her eyes hidden behind shades as she stepped up close to where Farren was. Not bothering to introduce herself just yet...More interested in how this would all play out.
She got the whole skipping thing. But thing was, was she in the mood to just let it go?? Guess she would have to wait and see. Hehe....Fun times....

She was glad and a little relieved to hear she hadn't inadvertently interrupted anything.
"Good, I'm glad I wasn't a bother," The only experience she really had interacting was with people twice her age and that was usually oh...so fun. So giving a thankful sort of smile which almost instantly melted off at the suggestion of skipping. This was were the so called peer pressure came in. She could go, but do the complete opposite of what she intended to do when she talked her folks into letting her attend an actual school for her last year.
But then again she had wanted something normal in her life and normal apparently came along with going to school only to occasionally skip, but didn't this sort of thing lead to other delinquent activities?
Taking in a breath her face scrunched up a little in indecisiveness, she had just thought she wouldn't be able to tell Talon no about anything, but then again he hadn't exactly asked her to skip, blatantly. Looking to Talon, who she knew to the other to guys - who she didn't she was about to open her mouth, when she was saved from having to fumble out a response of any kind. Looking abruptly to the side her eyebrows show up to see someone else joining the progressively growing group.
It seemed this Farren guy was pretty popular or...he got around quite a bit. Smiling again, Liana wondered what to make of this now. She certainly didn't know the new addition (never mind the fact she didn't know anyone in the group other then Talon). "Hi," she said automatically to the new face, bypassing the urge to want to give into fidgeting and the sudden awkwardness she felt for the entire situation. Looking over each of the guys in turn she let go of the bit of tension ringing in her shoulders.
"Listen I don't think I'll be...joining," Liana said with a little bit of apology in her tone. Looking up at Talon though she held out a hand, for her things, "but hey, don't let me stop you guys from having your fun."
Even Liana would consider herself sort of a goody two shoes, but at the moment this was what she wanted, seeing as how her parents trusted her enough to carry this out, and gave her little to no restrictions because of her good decision making. She waited for Talon to give her back her things, because while she wasn't going to go, it didn't mean she was going to try and talk anyone else out of it...
