"Out. Must you know everywhere I go, Nicholas? We're not married.""Haha, not yet darlin'.""Even if we were I'd still respond the same..""Heh..You're even more sexy when you get all flustered.""Heh, I'll keep that in mind.."--- With a roll of her eyes Elena grabbed her keys and left Nicholas behind in the mansion. Stepping into her car and starting the engine, Elena sighed momentarily placing her hands gently on the steering wheel. But that slight frown would turn into a smile as the beautiful purr of the engine resonated within her ears. Oh how Elena loved the roar of a perfect engine. She certainly was not like most of the rich girls she had ever come across. No Elena actually liked things that they wouldn't, she didn't mind getting dirty. She hung out with those who most would call common compared to her status, from time to time. She enjoys working on cars and bikes, which is a good thing just in case her car was to ever break down and there wasn't anyone to truly help. Then again a lot of guys don't like a woman knowing more than they do as well. Double edged sword if you think about it. But Elena still had much to learn
--- Elena revved the engine up before quickly pulling off with a smirk on her face. She was glad to get away from Nicholas for the day. It was enough that she occasionally lived with him. As if she liked living with her father and sister, and his mistress. She did have a quiet apartment unknowing to them all so she could have some real time to herself. But they all somewhat kept tabs on her enough so that she had to at least sleep at one of those places. Sure Nicholas was her fiancee, but she hated that little factor with a passion. Given to someone like a trophy of some sorts. Sure Elena was a prize but not one to be won, more so to be cherished. If that would make any sense to anyone. Despite that it never stopped her eyes from wandering, nor her lips. It was late afternoon whilst Elena drove around the city practically aimlessly. Music blaring from the stereo, her head bopping lightly to the beats.
~Hmm, the fresh air feels so good right now... Been feeling so damn smothered lately... Hmm though feels like it might rain soon, I can feel the moisture in the air...Heh even better. I wond--
*POP*
~The hell?~
--- The loud popping sound came from her front right tire blowing out, luckily Elena hadn't lost control of her precious baby. Pulling it to the curb, right next to the local park. Just as she did she heard the sound of her engine failing.
"No no! You've gotta be kidding me! You've never given me trouble like this!"
--- Frustrated she banged her hands against the steering wheel once, before getting out her car to inspect what had gone wrong. Walking around the car she noticed the flat tire that needed to be replaced, good thing she had a spare. Now what was the problem under the hood? Sighing, frowning and cursing silently to herself Elena popped open the trunk and removed some tools, and the jack coming back to the front of the car. Placing everything on the ground she opened the hood of the car, waving her hand to clear some of the smoke that was coming towards her face. Again sighing in frustration she wasn't too sure this time what could've been wrong since nothing had ever truly been wrong before. She always kept it in tip top shape. Tying her back into a high slightly messy pony tail she began to fiddle with the engine her hands were starting to get stained with the grease, her left cheek was had a small smudge on it from where she accidentally rubbed a little there instead of using the back of her hand. She grunted in frustration once more, stopping and placing both hands on the brim of the open hood. Her back arched slightly, head hanging a little low. All in all in truth it was a sexy image to look at considering her attire and the fact that she had an awesome well kept body. Under her breath she gritted her teeth as she spoke to herself."Ugh, come on, baby.. The hell is wrong with you."[/ul]

Kale's mind was slightly hazy, thoughts of all different kinds were clouding his head. He felt really stressed out for some reason, but he could feel a storm coming on soon and he couldn't wait. The rain would help to calm him, at least it usually did. He hoped this time wouldn't be any different. But the events of the night before, they still hung in his head.
As his pair of tan steel-toed work boots thudded slightly against the sidewalk that lined the park, those brown eyes would slide from the grayist rock beneath his feet toward the road. It was then those eyes would catch sight of something beautiful. A black '67 Chevy Impala, one of the many cars that Kale had always dreamed of owning. His eyes would lock upon it as he drove on by and continue to watch it as it moved off into the distance. The audible pop that sounded out wasn't expected though, and he'd watch as the car pulled over toward the sidewalk and then started spewing smoke from under the hood.
Kale would continue down the sidewalk with his eyes locked upon the vehicle. It wasn't long before the driver opened the door and stepped out, and to Kale's surprise that said driver wasn't even male. Maybe he had just expected it to be some beefy meat-head because most guys like that enjoyed those kind of cars. But instead it was a rather petite female, in a rather sexy outfit. He was still a good bit off, but he'd watch as she moved around to the trunk and opened it to remove some tools. Kale couldn't help but wonder whether or not she actually knew how to fix that sweet car of hers.
His eyes would drop toward his left hand for the moment, staring at the wrapped up wound he had received from the glass window at the bar the night before. At least he wasn't walking around with an open wound. Kale could still use the hand, it was just a little painful. His right hand would dip into the pocket of his black jeans and he'd remove his pack of cigarettes and pull one out to place it between his lips. As he approached that beautiful car and the lady that came with it, he'd light up his but and prepare to offer help. Help wasn't something Kale gave often. Hell, the only reason he was really doing it was to get his hands on that Impala, even if it was only brief.
Ugh, come on, baby.. The hell is wrong with you.

"How about you put that out first then you can take a look, yes?... It gives me a headache and I'm already a bit annoyed.. I'd appreciate it if you did."
--- Again those haunting yet also commanding eyes stared directly into his as she made her request to him. She already pegged him for the type that probably wouldn't give a damn about her request and if that was the case then oh well, guess she'd just go back to finding out what was wrong or call someone once she was completely fed up with it.[/ul]

How about you put that out first then you can take a look, yes?... It gives me a headache and I'm already a bit annoyed.. I'd appreciate it if you did.
"Tch.."
Kale hated that. He really didn't like it one bit when someone ragged on him in any way when it came to his bad habits. Sure, maybe it did give the female a headache, but it also gave him a horrible feeling in his chest whenever he hadn't smoked in a while. Those chocolate orbs would catch onto her blue-greys, and he'd take a much larger hit this time before he blew the smoking away from her. A few more quick puffs and the cigarette would be nearly cashed as it was. He'd flick it over his shoulder and then drop his eyes and hands onto the rim of the under-hood.
Kale knew quite a bit about this car. Well, not this EXACT car but the model. He had always been a big fan of Chevy and the Impala was one of his favorites. It seemed to be in excellent shape too, at first glance anyways. But obviously something had gone wrong. His bandaged left hand would move to grasp the cap which would cover her oil, and he'd grab the dipstick and push it down in. Of course, he was only checking the oil levels just in case. He doubted it was that. From the look of the smoke he assumed that something had blew in the car.
"How often does this engine get serviced?"
Kale wasn't even sure if the attractive female nearby knew anything at all about this kind of thing. Maybe it was quite sexist of him, but he doubted it. Most females knew jack-shit about the cars they drove. Kale would pull the dipstick out and glance at it before he wiped it off on the top of his bandaged hand. He didn't care about getting dirty himself. Not one bit at all. His large frame would lean a bit farther forward as his head bobbed trying to see if he could catch the problem. So far he wasn't seeing anything, but not all damage was easily seen when it came to a car engine.

"You're easily annoyed aren't you?... It's serviced about every six months unless called for otherwise.... You should try to keep that clean, even the wrapping. You don't want it seeping through and cause an infection."--- Interesting.. she showed a sign of caring? Well Elena wasn't heartless, she was just complex to fully understand in a single meeting. Elena possessed another side to her that was gentle-ish. Yeah, let's leave the complexity for another time.[/ul]

"Yea, yeah.. Easily annoyed and a real asshole.."
Kale's words would trail off as he continued to inspect the vehicle. He wasn't entirely sure what was wrong, but whatever it was he hope the female had some money because she was probably going to end up spending a pretty penny to get the engine back into tip-top shape. He'd ignore the poke at keeping his bandage clean for now, but he couldn't but think 'What the hell? Does this chick think she's my mother or something?'. For now though he'd hold his tongue and focus upon the engine.
His eyes would shift briefly to the tools she had taken out of her trunk earlier, and he'd reach down to grab at one of them before leaning back under the hood. He figured if he did it right he could tweak the engine enough to at least get it to start running. That way she could get home without being robbed blind by someone to come tow it for her. After a few more minutes he'd glance up toward the girl and speak.
"Here, hold this in place for me."
Kale was referring to the tool he was currently using. He was going to need an extra hand to keep it in place. He would wait for the girl to grab a hold of it, and then he'd reach down with his other hand and grab a second tool. Soon enough Kale would be working to try and fix her problem, at least temporarily. The teenager didn't feel the need to insult the girl for no reason, not right now anyways. He was more interested about the car to be honest. And so Kale would pop out a question as he worked.
"This is an amazing car.. How'd you manage to get your pretty little hands on it?"

You got anything yet? I'm not sure how much longer this rain is going to stall, and I still need to change the tire.."--- Elena would give him a little sly smirk, considering he was so easily annoyed he could've been flustered with her words. If so she would just be letting him know that she could take what he gave and dish it back out if he really wanted to go that route.[/ul]

With money... And you needn't tell me that about yourself... I kinda got that vibe off you already.. Though I can appreciate an honest guy, not to mention a guy that speaks his mind... You got anything yet? I'm not sure how much longer this rain is going to stall, and I still need to change the tire..
"World is full of too many pussys.. I gotta balance it out someway."
Those dark hues of his would glance at the girl after she spoke and he'd shake his head slightly before looking back to the engine. He too could feel the rain coming on and he knew from past experiences that working in that kind of weather wasn't the easiest thing to do. He figured it would only take him a couple more minutes before he'd be able to tell her to rev the engine to see if it worked. He would continue to tweak a few different parts before he'd straighten up. Only problem was that he was a little too tall, and misjudged things. His head would connect with the hood of the car as a thud would sound out.
"Shit.. fuck.. Gah, I think you can try and turn it on and see what happens.."
His uninjured hand would lift and rub at the spot on his head, turning so that he could sit upon the front of the car for the moment. Kale had either been successful, or he failed. If the engine did turn on, he doubted it would sound one hundred percent perfect, but he figured it would be good enough to get her home for the moment. It was just too bad that he was going to have to see this sweet ride of hers drive away without him.
"You'll still probably have to get a few parts replaced.. Shouldn't trust too many mechanics.. They give out a lot of faulty parts to get more business.."
His words would trail off as that hand that had been rubbing at the sore spot on his head would slide down the side of his face and rub at semi-thick stubble on his cheek. Kale's head would tilt upwards toward the darkening sky as he waited for the girl to turn the car on and check the engine. He enjoyed the rain and all, but he still had quite the walk to get back to his place, if he even decided to head back to that shit-hole his uncle called an apartment. It was boring there.. He was going to have to find something to do.

--- Ironically enough there was this small part of her that saw her brother in him. Now that would probably sound odd and not very pleasant considering she found this nameless man attractive to say the least. It was just his rebellious attitude that made her think of her brother in the sense of the way he acted towards their father. But of course he could never be her brother and in truth she would prefer he not remind her too much of her brother. Not that it was a bad thing, but it would it anywhere in the future they should meet again and something was too happen. Yea talk about awkward moments. Who wants to feel like they're kissing their brother? Matter fact, how would one even know what it's like to kiss their brother unless they already have? Interesting subject for another time. Right now Elena was too focused on getting this car working enough to make it to her secret apartment since it was close by and she could switch cars there.
--- Why was it called her secret apartment? Obviously because no one knew she had it. She couldn't really stay over it, but she could spend her day there. Why couldn't she stay cause her father kept close enough tabs on her that he preferred she stayed either at the family mansion or with Nicholas. Complicated indeed. Maybe another time. Again her eyes gazed upon him again taking notice of what appeared to be a knife wound on his left bicep, before he leaned up bumping his head hard on the open hood of the car. Elena really couldn't help herself but begin to let out a rather cute soft chuckle at his misfortune. Tossing the tool she held into the box, she was still slightly chuckling as she placed stepped in front of him briefly, looking at him before proceeding to the drivers side.
"Hehehe.. are you ok?.. It's happened to me a few times.."
--- Elena was sure he was ok without him really giving a single to her question, after all as she's said it's occurred to her before. It stings for a moment but fades in time. Opening her door, she wouldn't bother slipping her frame inside to sit. Instead she would just lean down, bending at the waist and turn on the car. Did the engine start? It sure did. It wasn't perfect of course, but it worked and she could at least get home. An whispered excited 'yes' escaped her lips before she came back around to him, standing directly in front of him - hardly any space between the two. That million dollar smile flashed as she thanked him for his help, but there was one more task. The tire. His words hadn't fell upon deaf ears, but he clearly had no idea that Elena only got the best.
"Heh, well I know that love.. I have a personal mechanic and I only get the best... Thank you for your help, I know you one... Considering it's about to start pouring any moment, maybe I can give you lift to where you need to go?.. But first I need to change this tire, then drive to my apartment and I can switch cars so I won't get stuck again.. Sounds like a deal?"
--- Her last sentence she spoke while she went to bend down and pick up the tool box and tossed him a small towel to wipe his hands, as she proceed to the trunk of the car to get the tools needed to change her tire. Placing the tool box back into the trunk she retrieved the needed items, placing them into one hand. While she showed her strength by grabbing the tire with the other and brought it to the flat. Just when the rain started pouring down, she placed everything down and looked at him with a smile and laughed. As the rain started to soak her well conditioned form.
"Heheh, well now just couldn't escape it could we?.. Oh wells.."[/ul]

Kale had caught her question about asking if he was okay, but instead of answering with words he would just nod toward her. When she walking around him and head for the driver's seat he would drop the hood back down, only to stare at the car for a brief moment before he moved around the same way she had. Those brown hues couldn't help but focus upon the female as she opened the door, bent over and started the car. It wasn't hard to tell where exactly he was looking either, his hand would lift and he'd bite at his finger quickly before dropping it back to his side.
Heh, well I know that love.. I have a personal mechanic and I only get the best... Thank you for your help, I know you one... Considering it's about to start pouring any moment, maybe I can give you lift to where you need to go?.. But first I need to change this tire, then drive to my apartment and I can switch cars so I won't get stuck again.. Sounds like a deal?
"Sounds like a plan."
Kale had listened to her words, but couldn't help but focus upon her form once again when she bent over for the tools. He couldn't help but wonder if she was doing it on purpose. This time though he wouldn't take his eyes off in time, before Elena turned and tossed a rag his way. Kale had probably been caught, but it didn't matter to him. His eyes looked at whatever they wanted to, regardless of what kind of trouble it could bring him. The teenager would snatch up the towel and begin to whip off his un-bandaged hand, and then the fingers of the injured one, before dropping it around his backside and slipping it into one of his pockets for the moment.
Heheh, well now just couldn't escape it could we?.. Oh wells..
"A little rain isn't going to make you melt."
His words would be spoke as a hand would lift to his head. It wouldn't take long before that slightly long brown hair would start to dampen and end up getting soaked. It really didn't bother him though, instead he'd just slick his hair back and tuck the sides behind his ears before closing his eyes and looking up toward the crying sky. It would only be a brief moment though, before kale would move forward and reach out for the tire iron, to take it from the girl. If she let him have it, he would turn back to face the car and then crouch in front of the popped tire to begin twisting all the lug nuts off.
"I think it's a little refreshing.."

--- Elena would smirk nodding her head towards the jack nearby as she would slide her hand up from his onto the metal of the tire iron, taking a slight grip on it. If he let her have it back she would continue what he started. And if he let her continue she would switch the tires and screw the lug nuts back on, while doing this her voice could be heard again. "As for the rain, it is refreshing and soothing... I was never displeased by it.. By the way my name is Elena."--- Elena would give a smile towards him, after completing exchanging the tires. She never gave out her full name like most seemed to do. She didn't see it to be necessary for a complete stranger to know her full name. If they had the resources they could easily check up on her. As if her name wasn't already well enough known, her face just as much. But this one didn't recognize her, probably doesn't listen to the news much. To her that was a benefit, he couldn't exactly judge her so quickly without truly knowing her. Her form would rise from the crouching position with the tire iron in hand, making her way to place it within the trunk. Hopefully he would follow with the jack and place it there as well. Whilst closing the trunk, her eyes would scan over his form and smile, before finally walking around to the drivers side. "You know, you don't look too bad with your hair like that...But I still would prefer it to be the other way... Well come on, shall we get going before it decides to break down again?"--- Elena would chuckle as she got into the seat and waited for him to get in. With the door still open she would ring some of the water out of her hair before closing it. Once he final got inside, she would drive off in the direction of her apartment.[/ul]

Hey now tiger, how about you let me do this? How about you prop the car up?... I don't seem that helpless do I?
"Nah, I guess I didn't really get that vibe from you."
Kale had only started to untighten the first lug nut before the girl crouched down next to him and spoke. He couldn't help but stare toward her as she looked into his eyes. She carried a look that could stun him if he stared at her for too long. She was rather beautiful, but he wasn't here to sight see. It seemed the female wanted to prove that she could change her own tire, or something along those lines. Kale wasn't going to make a big deal about it, he'd just stand up and give her a little nod before he'd begin to move to grab the jack.
As for the rain, it is refreshing and soothing... I was never displeased by it.. By the way my name is Elena.
"Good to know.. I'm Kale."
The large male couldn't help but feel a little stupid, he had totally not realized that the jack wasn't even placed before they had started trying to take the tire off. In a way it was funny, but he would leave those words to himself. Instead the junior would roll the jack around to the front of the car and slide it underneath, before finding a suitable place for it as the rain droplets crashed around him. Kale would begin to work his muscles and push down on the handle to raise the car up. It would only take a few times before it would be elevated enough for her to take the tire off without any issues.
Kale would stand up and give a large stretch as his arms lifted and placed at the back of his neck, a small groan escaping his lips as he felt a little of the tension in his body release. Those chocolate hues would drop once again toward the female that was crouched and finish up with the lug nuts. He would watch as she soon put the new tire on and tightened all the nuts back in place. Soon enough she would raise up from her position and it would tell Kale that the job was done, his hand would grip the handle of the jack and he would slowly lower it back to the ground. Pulling that said jack from underneath the front end, Kale would move back toward the trunk so that he could put it away.
You know, you don't look too bad with your hair like that...But I still would prefer it to be the other way... Well come on, shall we get going before it decides to break down again?
"Hah.. Glad you like it. I gotta say, I prefer it when you're 'wet'"
Of course, it was kinda a joke. Kinda. He was referring to her hair, as she had been to him. The corner of his mouth would perk up slightly after he spoke, before he'd turn and maneuver around the car to the passenger side. Kale would grip the handle and then drop himself in to shut the door after him. A quick glance about and he couldn't help but love this car even more. It was so damn sexy. He would make love to it if that kinda of thing was possible. Soon enough Elena would join him in the car, and thins would only get better right? She was nearly as sexy as the car. Those brown eyes would soon catch sight of the phoenix tattoo upon her shoulder blade, his words coming out shortly after.
"Sweet tattoo.. Bet you payed a fortune for it."

--- Her eyes glanced off the road momentarily looking at Kale from her peripherals with a smirk, then returning her gaze to the road. Coming upon a red light she would slow the car down before coming to a complete halt. A deep breath was taken then let out as Elena looked down at herself noticing that her denim skirt was a little more up than need be. Nothing could be seen of course, but she was feeling the discomfort of it sticking to her frame. Lifting her body off the seat just slightly she would tug at the hem to bring it down just a bit, before settling herself back in the seat. The drive wouldn't be too long. About fifteen minutes tops, but to stay silent for even that long was annoying. The water easily rolled and dripped off her form, causing her skin to glisten. Elena glanced over once more at Kale, then back to the road returning her hands to the wheel; driving once again. She had noticed his the wound on his left arm earlier, and decided why not bring it up now? "So Tiger, every scar has it's story... how did you obtain that particular one? If you don't mind my inquiry."--- Elena's words often came out in an elegant, mature matter. There was always a hint of it in her tone of voice. She never hid that factor about herself.[/ul]

Heh, you would think so, but I didn't.
Kale would slide his eyes from the girl's shoulder, toward the side of her face. He couldn't help but study her beauty for a bit. He hadn't ever exactly listened to someone when they said that staring was rude. Kale had always been more of the type to do what he want. Besides, staring wasn't all that bad was it? It kinda helped to prove that someone had some kind of interest in another person. Even if that said interest was all entirely physical. Of course, he was just looking. Kale had never really been the type to force himself on anyone.. Of course he had his skeleton's in his closet. After all, he knew how he had treated the blond girl with the coke just a night before.
Man, She acts like money isn't a big deal. Must have been spoiled..
No one was perfect, and those eyes of his would slide away from the girl to stare out to the streets ahead of them. Those brown hues watching intently as the raindrops splattered against the windshield of the impala, his right arm dropping against the door, resting along the length of the window as the moved closer and closer toward their location. It was then the sleeve on his right arm would have scrunched up, revealing the light colored bullet shaped wound on his forearm as his fingers tapped against the inside of the vehicle.
So Tiger, every scar has it's story... how did you obtain that particular one? If you don't mind my inquiry.
Kale had glanced down after he spoke, dropping those orbs of his to focus upon the scar on his left bicep which it seemed Elena was asking him about. The large male would stare toward it for a little while, as if he was contemplating whether or not he even wanted to share a little bit of his past with the female. After all, this kind of thing had never been easy for him to do. It was always easier to be a dick and push people away. No one really knew what kind of life he had growing up.
"I was caught on the wrong street, at the wrong time,"
His words would fade off slightly, before he would give a small sigh before the rest of the words would come out rather low. Sometimes he wished things had happened differently, that he had died on that day instead of lived, but instead someone had saved him and he had been forced to keep on keepin' on with his shitty life.
"Three kid's I had an argument attacked me.. Stabbed me right in my damn arm. That's not all either.."
Kale's torso would twist slightly and that right arm he had been resting against the window would shift closer toward the girl, his arm taking a flexed position as he twisted the wound on his forearm toward the girl so she would catch sight of it. Every once in a while he could hear the distant sound of that gunshot in his head, an echo from years past. He had managed to survive though, with Jared's help.
"They were obviously pissed off about it enough to shoot me over whatever we got into it over anyways. Can't say I'd ever like to feel something like that again.."

--- Every now and again Elena's eyes would be taken off the road every now and again, alternating between him and the street ahead. She could feel the difference in his energy, in the vibe he was giving off. Kale was being a bit vulnerable with her whilst sharing his story. For once Elena wasn't too sure what to think. There was another side to her, a more gentle and down to earth person but she had a tendency that even when she showed that side of her, she would turn around and push the person away. Funny thing she kinda felt the same vibe from Kale, not that he showed this side of him often but that he often pushed people away. "Three kid's I had an argument attacked me.. Stabbed me right in my damn arm. That's not all either.."--- It would be at another red light where she would stop just as he brought his arm closer to her, so that she could see his wound more up close. In truth she was surprised and impress that he still even had usage of that arm. "They were obviously pissed off about it enough to shoot me over whatever we got into it over anyways. Can't say I'd ever like to feel something like that again.."--- It was then that her blue-ish gray's would slowly look to his chocolate orbs. She could feel his words. She could feel the distaste he had for what happened. She could even feel and see the fact that he wished he wasn't still in this world. Was his life so bad that he wanted it to end? She honestly felt such a way once, after her brother had disappeared. She couldn't help but to soften her gaze to him. She couldn't help but to speak softly to him, subconsciously her right hand which was still a bit wet from the rain; reached out to touch his damp skin. A gentle smile creeping across her soft full lips. "You wished you hadn't lived don't you?... I can feel it, I can see it... I don't truly know you, but I can tell that there is so much more to you than what you give out.. Clearly you were meant to live.. As much as we hate it, we must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey...Besides if you had died I wouldn't have met you today and I would've been stuck there.."--- Elena would give a closed eye smile, as again subconsciously her hand would start to slide off his face as her eyes reopened. Her smile was still intact, as she placed her hands back on the wheel waiting for the light to change. But her gaze was still on him all the while.[/ul]
