Friday evening, and the populace of #774 seemed to be enjoying themselves as the festive mood for Valentine's Day seemed to have spread throughout the hallways. As Valentine's Day itself was on a weekend, it seemed that the students decided to celebrate the event in the school on the Friday itself, as couples paced through the hallways. And just as there were couples, there were also the man jealous faces of those who failed to gain the wishes of the girls of their hearts. Of course, there were also the many member clubs that made use of this event as a way to gain new members, it seemed. It was the start of the year, and many students had just came in. This seemed like a great time to get them to join their various member clubs.
Cain was, of course, walking alone down the hallway, his emerald eyes jumping from club stall to club stall, hoping to find one that would, at least, spark his interest. Clad in a white G2000 shirt, the Junior had his sleeves folded up to his elbows, a pair of fitting denim jeans and his dark blue Vans sneakers completing his attire. He looked as casual as ever. In a way, Cain had been influenced by one of his close friends back in #552, Narin Carter. Narin Carter had always been one to dress nicely, presenting himself more like a businessman than a student. Of course, Cain was not as exaggerated, if that was the right word to describe it, as Narin, but the formality was still there, Cain realised.
He chuckled.
And then, someone fell upon his back. Cain's eyes widened a bit as he staggered forward. The hallway was crowded, especially this particular one, for it was the main hallway of the school, having the main entrance at one end. With that in mind, Cain found himself tripping on another person's leg, falling then on his knees. Whoever had bumped into him had probably tripped too, but for now, Cain was more focused on his knees. That had been quite a bad landing. He hissed in pain, as he slowly got up, turning to face the blonde girl who had pushed him.
"Hey, what's the big idea?"

Chantel found herself amongst the sign ups for different clubs. Why would someone like her be interested? Well, she never really had a vast choice back in Lyon, because it was a very regal and proper school that only had females as it's student populace. Now she wanted to meet people and see if she could have fun screwing around with them a bit. It would all work out if the girl had been interested in any of them. So far they had no promise. They were so pathetic that she wouldn't even pretend to like it for the sake of backstabbing.
She turned to the boy beside her. He was really big and obviously trying to get her number. She let him follow and didn't say anything to object. Chantel loved attention she was very selfish that way...amongst other ways. Most of the time he remained quiet, but when someone bumped into her and kept walking without saying anything... this guy some reason got all defensive. In all honesty she wouldn't have minded one bit. After all she did go to trashy bars for fun that were rather crowded and full of obnoxious people. This guy on the other hand didn't like the idea of some guy pushing a girl. So while Chantel was wondering if she would bump into Mischa...some body else was getting "bumped" into.
The stalker guy shoved the guy who didn't apologize. That lead to him pushing into a boy that was right in front of Chantel. He would then grab the boy by the back collar of his shirt and drag him off. When Chantel looked ahead she saw the boy get up and she almost winced in pain knowing full well how much it hurt to fall on your knees.. but receiving the glare she got from him he was going to get no such compassion.
"Hey, what's the big idea?"
"Oui... It was my master plan to knock you over..." she replied in a snark-ee tone. Usually she wasn't try and make enemies... but right now she was being wrongly accused and it was obvious she was not guilty... how else would you expect a thin teenage girl would be able to push a bigger guy to his knees? "Did it hurt your pride?" she said with a smile as she walked away from the scene. The crowd was pissing her off and she didn't feel like arguing with some boy she felt that didn't deserve her time.

"Oui... It was my master plan to knock you over..."
Oh. We got a biter here, it seemed. Cain let out a soft frustrated growl. His mood had been completely ruined by the aching pain in his knee, and having a girl shoot at him with such a harsh tone and words was not helping at all. The Junior, of course, would not let his anger take away his dignity as a male and attack the female, but he was definitely not going to let her slide that easily. He was about to shoot back at her, when she continued, cutting him off. And it only served to piss him off more.
"Did it hurt your pride?"
True, it did hurt his pride. Being pushed by such a small girl was something Cain would have normally easily brushed off, but someone had accidentally tripped him. Of course he would fall. No one had control over gravity, after all. He would simply fall on his knees, for they were the lowest joint of his body save the ankle. And she walked off, preventing Cain from ever rebutting her. A growl merely escaped his lips, his emerald eyes fixated upon the back of her head as she left. Ah, hell. He turned back, apparently being forced to let this slide for now.
However, just as he did, he found himself almost bumping into another person, someone larger and more muscular than Cain was. The frustrated Junior lifted his chin, his eyes finding the giant's as he stared at him. What the hell now?
"You asshole. No one talks to Chantel that way!"
Chantel? Cain looked over his shoulder for a moment. So, the girl's name was Chantel, huh? Well, wasn't that a useful piece of information. At least now Cain knew one person to put on his hate-list. Chantel. Sounded French. She did say a different kind of 'yes' just now, didn't she?
"Hey, I'm talking to you!"
And cue the fist. Cain, however, was whole lot faster and smarter than this big brute could ever dream of becoming, his right hand snapping upward immediately from his side, hitting his solar plexus and forcing its way onto the bottom side of his lowest ribs. Not exactly the most fun place to get hit at. The giant groaned, taking a step back as he doubled over. Cain would turn back to let his eyes come upon the giant, then. He looked at his teary eyes for a moment, before throwing a left hook onto the side of his head, disorienting him as he fell to the side.
"I've no time for you."
Yeah, his day was just ruined. And with that, Cain headed home, finding no more reason now to stay in school. He had lost the mood to really make full use of the remaining time of the day. He was just going to go home and start his weekend break, perhaps train himself a bit during the period. He reached the school's main entrance, his right hand reaching forward to grab the door. And just as he opened it, he almost jumped at the sight of a young female standing on the opposite side. In her hand, she held a package.
"Happy Valentine, dear classmate! Here's a present for you~"
Cain looked at her for a moment, with eyebrows raised, before letting his hues traverse down to the package. It was wrapped in one of this transparent wrappings, and in it was a foiled-up fortune cookie and a box of heart-shaped chocolate. Ah, well, might as well, right? It would help save his already-diminishing supply of snacks at home anyway. He grabbed the package, muttering a soft 'Thank you.', before walking away. Time to head home.
