Appearance (Old Clothing)
Valo currently wears a plain black shirt, thin and lightweight as to not weigh him down while fighting and other things. The sleeves aren't long, but they're not short either, just stopping right below the elbows. The mouth of the shirt (where the torso enters the clothing) only stops to be right below his waist. The shirt is rather "neckless", as his whole neck is visible. On his neck adorns a pendant. It isn't just your normal, everyday, "for show" pendant that people wear to look rich. This pendant was an inheritance to the Senior from Hiroko Katashi in his will, Valo wears it mostly in rememberance, shocked at Hiroko's sudden disappearance, rather then the immense strength it gives him, as it seems to make the boy a god. Valo's conscious just won't tell him Hiroko is gone forever, and this pendant is there to remind him of his Sensei.
Valo's pants are green cargo pants, which aren't as heavy as normal as he doesn't want them to weigh him down either. The pant sleeves aren't tight, but aren't too wide either, allowing the Senior to move around freely. There are two deep pockets on either side of the pants, and two more pockets on the back. They are tightened to his body with a leather belt, which can be loosened easily just in case something happens or he needs to use the belt as a weapon.
Valo's shoes, plain black, ordinary sneakers, show that he dosen't care about making his appearance look "expensive". His shoes fit perfectly to his feet, and he has no trouble manuveuring his body whilst inside of these shoes as they react perfectly to his movement. The laces are white, thin, and not too long or too short as he wouldn't want any distractions.
The black gloves that Valo wears on his hands, cut off at the fingers so his hands wouldn't sweat as much. They are made of a fine leather, which is soft and thin enough to allow his hands complete movement, while hard and strong enough to protect his hands from minor to moderate damage.
Valo's trench coat, black in color, is what he wears above all his other clothing. It is also made of fine leather, and is comfortable enough to manuveur in while only restricting his body's agility and movement/mobility slightly. The trench coat's tail only reachs down below his ankles, but not touching the ground. He wouldn't want that tail to get caught on anything just in case he needed to run or manuveur his way around enemy strikes.
Happy now, Ani-chan? =P

Valo is strong and can seem a little on the cold side, but he is really an emotional person. Defeating his enemies and the one closest to him is the best thing in the world and the only thing that matters. He can keep his cool, and he can keep his promises, but when he's angry, all hell breaks loose.

History (Currently Reworking – Valo~ Work really hard on your history~. ^-^ Or else~.)
~ * ~ * ~ Before 552 ~ * ~ * ~
Valo, the second eldest of the Morei family, was always treated like scum by his father. The eldest, Lett, was treated like he was a god compared to the rest, Sasuke, Kenji, and even Yuri weren't treated as badly as Valo, yet he didn't really care much about that.
At the age of seven, Valo had started training up to try and become as good as Lett, who was already a skilled fighter at his early age. Yet, Valo's father wanted nothing to do with him, and only trained Lett and the other three, Valo had to learn on his own. Every night, the boy would go outside and practice, he'd train himself until he couldn't move any more from exhaustion. Lett noticed Valo's determination, and began to help him train, which greatly boosted Valo's ability in combat after a period of time.
Around the age of eleven, he got into a fight with three men, beating them down without too much difficulty due to them just being normal school bullies. There was another boy in the area however, that also had a father that trained him up, he and Valo soon got into a fight after that, resulting in Valo losing quickly. Though he didn't give up, that resulted in rather severe injuries for a boy his age, and he had to be hospitalized for a bit. Finally getting out one day, he vowed to get stronger, faster, and smarter, pushing himself even harder.
The age of thirteen, Valo and Lett soon had a spar, the two fighting rather furiously. The thirteen year old boy was quick, but still not fast enough to keep up with his older brother, and thus was defeated yet again, knocked unconcious due to one of Lett's attacks to the head. Yet, a few seconds later and the boy was already back to his feet, to Lett's surprise. This wasn't the same Valo however, it was his second persona, Crimson. He put up a much better fight then Valo did, but still fell eventually. Lett was shocked that something like that existed in Valo, but figured he'd investigate later as the father was beginning to call the younger boy pathetic once more. Lett couldn't take much more of it, and punched his father across the face, Valo was surprised, but not as much as the father was. He just took it in and walked away, realizing what he was doing.
Soon, Valo began training with Sasuke, the youngest of the Morei's. Valo easily manuvered around his younger brother without striking for a good few minutes before finally sending him to the ground. Sasuke grunted, clenching his fists tightly as he looked up at his brother. Valo grinned, and told Sasuke to attack with all of his might, not to hold back. Sasuke sighed, readying himself up as he charged at Valo, attacking relentlessly. Valo was suprised at how fast he moved, but still avoided each attack until one struck his shoulder and dislocated it. The boy grunted in pain, and kicked Sasuke off as he popped his bone back in, he had won, but was still surprised at what his younger brother was capable of. Telling Sasuke to keep at it, so one day he could surpass even Lett, Valo smiled and walked off, promising Sasuke they'd be training again in a couple of weeks.
Though those couples of weeks passed, Valo did not show up for training to Sasuke's dismay. In fact, Valo had disappeared completely. "Get the hell out of here, I disown you! You're no son of mine!" The father yelled as he threw Valo out onto the streets, the boy gritted his teeth, and his crimson eyes locked themselves onto his father with hate being fueled, a fire inside that just grew larger. He got back up to his feet as his father punched him in the face once more, knocking him back down. Valo spat out blood, and clenched his fists as he got up again. The father was about to strike, but Lett had arrived, stopping his father in his tracks. "Father! That's enough!" He shouted, anger rising as he couldn't believe what was happening. Valo just looked at his father darkly before walking away, not listening to Lett when he told him to stop. That was the last anyone saw of Valo, and that was the last he saw of them, unaware of the fact that Lett had slaughtered the rest of the family soon afterwards. The only survivors were him, Sasuke, Kenji, Yuri, and of course Lett. Many others died however.
America. Somehow, Valo had found himself here, a few states away from his future home for life, New York City. He was just wandering around aimlessly, having nowhere to go whatsoever. A kind old man and woman found him, unconscious in the snow with bruises on him, taking him in to take care of him as they couldn't leave him out there. Soon, he had regained consciousness, and the two people had become a second set of parents of sorts. He soon grew happy in their company, though he didn't want to stay for too long. On his fourteenth birthday, disaster struck. He woke up to find the house on fire, and rushed out of his room to find the two old guardians telling a bunch of thugs to stop. They just laughed and pulled out knives, knocking the two to the ground with smirks on their faces. "No!" Valo shouted as he ran towards them, only to be pinned down by two more men. They forced him to watch the old people die in front of him, their throats slit as they bled to death. Valo was in shock, a tear rolled down his cheek as he shouted for them to stop. But alas, they didn't, his guardians were dead. The men were going to move onto Valo next, but something in him woke up that night. At first, he thought it was Crimson waking back up, but no, it was something much more fierce. Valo's eyes narrowed as the tears stopped flowing, and his fists clenched tightly as he forced himself up, knocking the two men that were holding him into the fire. He went along with their momentum, pushing himself up and into a backflip as he landed on his feet.
His eyes seemed to glow as he walked forward towards the other two men, several others filing into the room to see what was going on, the men in the fire were now dead from their wounds. Out of the corner of his eye, Valo could see other houses on fire too, with their residents being slaughtered mindlessly. His anger rose even more, and he moved forward at an amazing speed, kicking the knife out of the first man's hand as he sent it into his skull. Valo then landed on his feet, ducking under a knife swing as he spun around, sending his elbow into a thug's chin to send him out the window. The fighting continued for perhaps another half hour before Valo finally tired out, all of the thugs on the ground dead aside from the ones at the other houses. He reverted back to his old self, unaware of what he had just done. He looked back at all of the bodies and screamed, he couldn't believe that a monster inside of him was growing like this. That night, Raitei was born, the most powerful entity that grew from Valo. He wouldn't appear again for a while however.
The gang leader walked into the house, witnessing the bodies on the floor and Valo in the corner. Despite how he wanted to follow his own policies of loot, kill, no survivors, he couldn't bring himself to kill Valo and instead, took him in.

[Told from his perspective]
There I was, my first day. I had already moved into my own place at 14, my brother sending me money to help me thanks in part to his organization running smoothly. Thing is, it was much more money than I needed, so financially, I was already well off. The man who had taken me in and raised me had been murdered, and it soon came to light that he was a gang leader, the whole time I had been unaware. Being the adopted son of a man who had heavy ties in the underworld made those who knew about it look down upon me heavily. Like any of us could control where we were raised.
The first person I had met was a girl named Nena. She was a senior and approached me at my locker. She had asked me if I was new, and some questions to get to know me. I told her I was a transfer student from Public High School #345, and that the school had previously closed down due to violence. Back then, she probably saw me as another troubled soul just wandering into another circle of hell with no chance of escape, but I would probably never know.
It wasn't long after this that I met Saito for the first time, he was a junior at the time, and possibly the one person I would always try my best to reach the level of, he was an inspiration at its best. I met him in a club, he was just a guy looking for an interesting fight, and I was looking for a chance to see how I compared to the rest of #552. Needless to say, I got my ass handed to me rather fast. I knew then that if I didn't get tougher, something was going to come up that I couldn't get out of. As I lied underneath that busted table, fading in and out of consciousness, I realized that I had to get stronger.
The next person I met was Kakako, a boy who was on my level and easily made for an even match. We became good friends, as well as good sparring partners. It was my first step towards moving up in the world as I honed my skills against him. Around the same time, I met Karel Soresu, who I later saw as my biggest obstacle, and Feil, another freshman who desperately tried to make it to the top. My friend from the previous school, Psyke, had also transferred into #552, and I later found that Shugo, another resident of #345 who I wasn't on good terms with, was already attending the school. I also met Celeste, a very charismatic and beautiful girl that drew the attention of everybody, and I was no different. For some reason, I felt I wanted to protect her, and even bought her a car for her first birthday.
Soon I met a man named Vetis. the leader of the fearsome gang, Reign of Blood. Before I knew what was going on, I found myself amongst their ranks. It was there that I met Nena and Celeste again, shocked at first but I grew accustomed to it. My first mission was to work alongside a man named Mayoko, the most sadistic son of a bitch I had ever met. We were to take out a target by the name of Dark, my job was just to distract him for Mayoko to make the move. I did my part well, but I felt so much regret in the middle of it and was thankful that Dark managed to get away. It was seeing him with his girlfriend, Destiny, that got to me. It made me realize that there were other people trying to be happy as well.
I soon met the girl who forever changed my life, Jayne. She was a member of the more peaceful gang, Equilibrium. I was visiting Saito who had ended up in the hospital somehow, and I met her. She seemed so cheerful, and different from everyone else that I had met. She genuinely wanted to put an end to the fighting, I could feel that. And once I met her, I realized that I would do whatever it took to make that dream come true. For her, I was willing to change. I didn't want to fight as much anymore, but I had to.
It was my first winter at #552 when I took a stroll in the park, and saw a girl playing in the snow. She seemed to have been drawing in it, and amused I watched her. Eventually, we got to talking, and I learned her name was Anisette, or Ani for short. I didn't get too much time to talk to her however, as Vetis had arrived to give me another task. When I think about it now, I can't remember what it was, but that girl.. I still wonder how she's doing, even if I never saw her again after that day. I wonder if the horrors of #552 had engulfed even her.
I performed other missions for the Reign of Blood to try and gain favor, trying to promote their strength to the top. At one point, Mayoko's sadistic tendencies got the better of him, to the point where he turned on me, his own subordinate. He was far more stronger and faster than I was, I never had a chance. He had destroyed my collar bone and tore my nerves out, laughing at the sight of my mangled body as he lifted me into the air and threw me at my car. The last thing I remember before he set my car aflame and made it explode was his sadistic laughter ringing through my head...
I awoke in the hospital to see Linda standing next to me and watching over me, she was a member of Colossai, a rival gang yet I had met her before the gang war had escalated to such a level. She had saved my life, I was amazed that I was still breathing. I didn't really question why she pulled my body from the burning wreckage, maybe it had to do with friendship? I couldn't tell for certain now, but looking around I saw Dark there as well, and I saw Jayne as well, a smile formed on my lips without me realizing it. It was a short-lived happiness however, as Vetis had walked into the room. I was scared at first, but he just gave me an Elmo balloon with money attached to it to pay for my hospital fees. It was his way for making up for the damage his own trusted man Mayoko had caused. But even after that, my mind was already made up.
At the next gang fight, I had defected to the Colossai amidst the chaos, effectively defeating my own friend Kakako in the process. Mayoko had arrived on the scene, and Colossai decided to retreat as the Reign of Blood's heavy hitters were starting to arrive, the Colossai's all out of commission at the time. I stole one last look at Celeste, remembering my promise to protect her, before I jumped from the school roof into the nearest tree and made my way down. I had learned later that I had blinded Kakako in the fight, and felt extremely guilty. However, he became a great fighter despite being blind so I didn't worry far too much. I was hoping that Linda, Dark, Destiny, Saito, and the others would help to bring an end to the fighting.
I trained under one of the leaders, Ark, as he was one of #552's strongest. I learned much from him and continued to push myself to try and raise my fighting prowess even further. I soon became an able fighter in my own right. More and more I pushed myself to fight stronger opponents, winning some fights and amazing myself, always keeping Jayne in my mind as I tried to remember what I was fighting for every time.
At one point, when I was out on my own on a snowy day. I ran into Jayne again.
~ * ~ * ~ After various events at 552/Return to 552 ~ * ~ * ~
"Worthless son!"
"You'll be a monster just like me.. brother.."
"I still need time.. I'm sorry.."
"Don't lose your memories, Valo.. Keep them dear to you."
"You can count on me to be there."
"Hey man, cheer up. The worst that can happen is we both die."
His father, Zetsumei, Jayne, Celeste, Leon, Lukas.. They all disappeared on him one way or another, although it wasn't all his fault, he couldn't help but feel blame, feel guilty. He couldn't live with it. The defender of 552 had snapped, and without a word, the former Pillar disappeared into obscurity.
His path was unknown from there, but eventually he found his way into the army. Valo was sent to fight in Iraq, but was often berated by the other troops, all save Lukas Troy, who befriended Valo later. While patrolling the area, Lukas and Valo got caught in an attack and pinned down under heavy fire, the other troops were nowhere to be seen. Unable to hit their targets, the enemy troops tossed a grenade at the two, but Valo's quick thinking and reflexes allowed him to kick the grenade back at the enemy before it exploded. Lukas praised Valo, but suddenly three men armed with blades appeared right behind them, and their guns weren't at the ready. Covering their faces and preparing for the worst, three gunshots rang out, and the three bodies fell to the floor. Valo and Lukas looked around, but could not see who did it until finally, Valo looked up at a distant tower. He could see the silhouette of a figure up there.
Later on when they returned to camp, Valo had the opportunity to meet the one who saved their lives. He introduced himself as Haru, and was a sniper. A strange silence befell both Valo and Haru for a moment, but it quickly broke when Lukas walked up. After thanking Haru and leaving, Lukas made sure no one was around before he told Valo that Haru looked an awful lot like him, which Valo too noticed. It stayed on his mind the rest of the deployment.
A couple months passed, and the three of them as well as several others were deployed to a certain sector in town where something strange was happening, according to the citizens. Along the way, they lost track of Haru, but had to keep going. When they got to the town square, everything seemed quiet, the area was really big and open. There wasn't much to hide behind. Suddenly, several clicks were heard, and proximity mines shot up from the ground and eradicated the majority of the squadron. Valo and Lukas weren't harmed in the initial blast, but another grenade fell near them and exploded, Lukas jumped out in front of Valo to cover him...
Shell shock, Valo could barely move at all, and struggled to get up. All he heard was a loud ringing in his ears, and his vision was blurry. Finally, he could make out a figure in front of him.. Lukas' body, his legs blown off as well as an arm, the other was barely there. Gripping his gun tightly, Valo aimed wildly and fired several shots into the dust in anger until he ran out of ammo. He then fell to the ground in a slump before seeing another figure walk up..
He awoke back at camp, his left arm in a cast and a bandage over his eye. He felt pain in many parts of his body, but the doctors said he'd be fine. They told him he had killed the enemy officer when he had fired into the smoke, and they were also discharging him due to injury, they had made some pulls up with the main officers in order to do so. "You're lucky we like you, kid."
Getting out of camp and suiting up to go home, he asked another troop if they knew what happened to Lukas. All they did was shrug and say that both Haru and Lukas went missing, and their bodies weren't at the recent skirmish. Wondering what it could mean, and what Haru really was, Valo left to go home to 552.
Once he got back home, he went searching for his brother Kazeru in another town on request from his mother, whom he hadn't seen in many years. Unforunately, he had arrived right after his mother's death, and felt another wave of sadness overcome him. With barely any words, he took Kazeru into his own care and went back to his home city and 552..

QI - AIR MANIPULATION
Air manipulation is simple. Using it, Valo can perform a variety of moves. For example, if he were to jump, and an opponent would take it as a perfect chance to strike as he couldn't move anywhere, he'd normally be screwed, right? Well, using his Qi, Valo can perform a "double jump", pushing off from the air to avoid his enemy's moves. However, this doesn't only allow him to move up. He can move in ANY direction, forward, backwards, down, up, left, right, diagonal, doesn't matter. He can only do this once per air-time however, so if an opponent got to him before he reached the ground, he couldn't do it again.
Sub skills for Qi - Air wave
Valo can push a wave of air around him, sending his enemies flying away from him and protecting him from strikes. This takes a certain strain on his body however, and he usually doesn't use it much.
Compressed Fist
Valo can compress the air around his fists and feet to perform a higher rate of damage to his enemies as he strikes. This requires very little Qi and he tends to use it more than often.

Fighting Style
- Normally fights with his hands in his pockets (Like Hanto) since he is a master with his feet.
- Kumori (Shadow) Stance
If he has too, he'll use his own personal fighting style. He'll lower himself on the ground nearly too all fours. He places his hands near the ground to look like they're claws, and rushes at the enemy, encircling him and striking at vital points/tendons to disable the enemy. His stance allows him to gather enough momentum for quick striking but at the cost of strength. - Makai (Hell) Stance
Valo's second stance, the Hell Stance. Assuming this stance allows for both excellent offense and defense, and hides just about any opening for a strike on Valo. How he assumes this stance is by positioning his body to have his side face his opponent, then he extends both arms either way, the one facing his opponent slants down, while the opposite arm slants upwards. His leg facing his opponent slants outwards as well, as the opposite leg moves moves in the other direction. Valo then places his fingers really closely together, this stance complete, Valo can manuveur around his enemies once more and strike more vital areas on the body. - Men'ekisei (Immunity) Stance
Work in progress… - Kuragari (Darkness) Stance
