So, you have a nice day. Not a horrible warm one. It's lunch time, people break free from the hold their jobs have on them. Well, the lucky ones at least. When its lunch time, you know what people do? JOG! Yes, they crawl out of the wood work, hundreds of them. Happy joggers, sad joggers, angry joggers, proud joggers. SO many different types. Making their way around the park, circling the pond and kicking up dust. Sooooo much fun, right? Hundreds of people clad in spandex running.... To shudder at the mere thought would only prove how human you are. Or not. After all, some people would probably look around in search for delicious men and women. OH WELL.
Perhaps it was a sign that I had learned my lesson. Joining the joggers and working on my faults.... running. From my last outing in the park, I learned how tiresome it was... Did I learn my lesson? Nope....
A lovely day, the sun warmed the ground, but the soft breeze. Not warm enough to make people sweat by walking for a while, not not cool enough to require layers. People clad in colourful summer clothing and suits wandered the street. From a distance one could spot the hordes of joggers circling the park. Pairs and little groups, it was so weird. As if no one ever jogged alone... Except those that prefered the emptiness of the night. Yes, the shamed joggers.
Murmuring of people as they made their way down the street, the loud voices of people on cell phones, and the occasional: WATCH WHERE YOU ARE DRIVING ASSBUTT! Oh the sounds of the city<3 The voices of the people and the clang clang on the trolly!! Ring ring like a bell! ...wait. Did the city even have a trolly? Addie paused, thinking to herself, around her people moved on their way, stepping out of their normal path for only a minute... To avoid the girl on the side walk.
WHY DID THAT SOUND FAMILIAR?
Looking down, the brunette thought to herself. It almost seemed as if it were a song lodged in her mind. Something annoying, catchy, involving costumes, and fruit dancing. OH WAIT. It hit her, almost like the person on the bike. Watching him swerve, Addie watched as the stranger crashed into a dumpster, went flying and landed in the trash.
OHHHH SHIIII---
O___O;;;
It was time to run. Addie looked from her left to the right before running into the crowds of people. ESSCAAPPPEEEE. Normally, she'd go and apologize. It was a scary looking buff man that she crashed, which called for running. Unsure of where to go, the brunette followed the entrancing melody of something in the park. It wasn't until she made it into the park that she saw it.... ICE CREAM TRUCK!
Yeah, it wasn't going to be like the previous adventure... She was going to get the ice cream and not get covered in it! Getting in line, the brunette smiled happily as she pondered on what sort of ice cream to get. Perhaps mocha almond fudge... YES! THAT SOUNDED AWESOME. So mouth watering and delicious. >___>;;;;
Reaching the front of the line, only to see the people form before. THEY DUMPED ICE CREAM ON HER BEFORE. No rage, just a smile and warm greeting! There was no way she'd risk spit on her ice cream cone. "One double scoop mocha almond fudge cone!!" Friendly smiles all around!
FREE ICE CREAAMMMMM..
Waving, the brunette wandered off happily, licking the deliciousness that was the ice cream. Out of no where! There was a proud, I'm so much better than you jogger. Pushing Addie out of his path, he'd send her cone to the ground. DRAMATIC SLOW MOTION.... Ice cream in the dirt, she'd stay frozen in shock, disappointment, and sorrow. OH WHAT A WORLD! WHAT A WORLD!! ;w;. It didn't matter that she fell too, it was THE ICE CREAM! IT SUFFERED THE MOST! Doomed to melt slowly on the ground and mold. Never to be eaten. WAS THERE AN APOLOGY? OF COURSE NOT. "Stupid jogger..."
;w; Poor ice cream cone....<3
I loved you ;w;.... but you were never meant to be mine...
So all that was left was a dirty and very sad ice cream cone, along side of a very confused Addie. Both on the ground and in the way of the horde. ;w; She hadn't done anything wrong. WAS THE LOVE OF ICE CREAM TOO MUCH TO DRIVE PEOPLE TO DESTROY HER HAPPINESS?
It was a weird day.. All starting with falling asleep on the couch to the sounds of: Meet me in Saint Louis. SHE DIDN'T EVEN LIKE MUSICALS.
