If I Had You (Jayr)

Donovan had a bowl of snacks out on the table. He thought ahead and found treats that would be impressionable to his breath and hers in a good way. A movie was already in the player.

30 Days of Night.

Yup. He thought it would be scary enough for her... He pulled the cliche move by choosing the horror so he could get closer to her. His plans were a little out there tonight seeing as how he had yet to even kiss her yet... but he was sure if he could get the mood right he could do more than kissing.



He had a normal tee on and a pair of jeans that weren't too tight. His hair was down and he had no makeup on. He scratched at his facial hair while flipping through the names on his phone.

Jayr.

"I need you to come over. There is something I need to discuss with you.. A meeting of sorts."

Yeah he lied. If he told her they were going to watch a movie he was sure she would shy away.... Now he would wait for either a text back...or for her to arrive.

Both would be cool.

It's a Trap!

Jayr had fortunately enough been out of the house all afternoon, sunning herself by the beach she was in one of those 'relaxing' moods. And with the tensions at school this was much needed. Kicking her legs up past her back the knock of sand would trickle off grazing her back in a light layer.

*Bzzzz Bzzzz Bzzzzz*

*click*

"I need you to come over. There is something I need to discuss with you.. A meeting of sorts."

Jayr had a mixed feeling reading the name she'd manage the smile and realize that it wasn't someone after her for some strange reason but soon enough reading the text she was back to the school lifestyle figuring this had something to do with her impromptu pillar meeting earlier on. With a sigh she'd roll open the text pad and punch in the numbers.

Sure I'll be there in a few.

Shrugging she'd toss the phone aside into an open purse and peel herself up off the ground with a lazy groan and stretch. The good thing for Donnie was that she lived on the beach, it'd not take him but twenty minutes of waiting but that was considering she didn't take an hour to get dressed.

A little bit past the 'few' minutes limit Jayr would part just outside of Donnie's place of residence, of course it wasn't his but he made it seem like it was what with hosting parties and slinking past Alexis enough times. A small knock at the door and Jayr would linger upon her back hip slouching slightly to appear a lot shorter.

"Heeeeeyyyy?"

Her gaze originally excited before turning inside and eying the television and snacks laid out, her expression shifting to that of confusion and speculation to which she was unafraid to show a confused image.

There was some last preparations made while he waited for Jayr. Few minutes? Did he learn how to tell time wrong? Meh... Girls... Finally the sounds of a soft knock would be heard on the door

Donovan had opened the door to see Jayr waiting. The way she greeted him seemed like she was a little uneasy about the whole thing... especially once her eyes found his little set up. He would smile and rest each hand on her slender shoulders as he looked down at her with the smile disappearing into a very serious expression.

"You see... I called you to discuss this matter, because it is very important. My situation was that... I had no one to enjoy these munchies and flick with. So... I thought I would call you over and get your opinion on things... maybe an idea on who would be kind enough to join me."

His expression lightened as he had a faint smile on his lips waiting for her reaction... hoping that she wouldn't just turn around and head back to where she had been prior to his request.

Now the anticipation was building.

Even if he wasn't going to get into her pants he would still enjoy her company. They were friends right now and he did have fun with her.... so he just hoped she wouldn't be prude enough to leave.

Clever Distraction

Jayr would hesitate slightly feeling the conscious weight on her shoulders suddenly making her feel as though she was someone needing to be talked out of doing something stupid, and in this situation that was making a bolt for the exit but now that she was here she really had no excuse for leaving unless she pulled a good ol' 'ohhh I have homework,' ordeal which certainly wouldn't go over well.

"You see... I called you to discuss this matter, because it is very important. My situation was that... I had no one to enjoy these munchies and flick with. So... I thought I would call you over and get your opinion on things... maybe an idea on who would be kind enough to join me."

She'd roll her eyes, it was an ingenious scheme something she could only figure he'd picked up from his sister at some point being the devil she was. But it'd worked, she felt as though it could be fun so now the balance left her wanting to munch.

"Cute... I suppose I can stick around for a little bit."

She'd let loose a fair smile placing her hands at his chest to push him back giving her enough room to pass through the door and slink her way in, at full extension her fingers would poke him in the ribs perhaps as a taunting tickle move at which she'd laugh.

A few directed steps and she'd be leading this one, taking a spot right in front of the television with a girlish attitude of sitting down on her knees with a bouncy attitude and grabbing as many pillows as she could hold to snuggle up into. Her cerulean eyes would peel over the top of one to eye up Donnie threateningly.

"Get to it director!" She'd growl with a small kick of her foot edging him towards the screen to start it up.

She would push him aside, though he really didn't get pushed that hard, but he was just making room for her. "Oh you are going to stay?" she watched as she sat herself on the floor and started to hog all the pillows to herself. "I guess you will have to do." she would say jokingly.

"Get to it director!"

Donnie would lay himself on his back on the ground looking up at her with his hands tucked under his head. "What was that?" his smile was as smug as they came as he squinted up at her. "I don't respond to people with no manners." he would saying in a stubborn tone. He would then pull ut one of his hands out from under his head and would push to shove Jayr...just enough to try and knock her off balance slightly as he swiped a pillow of his own.

He would then reach for the remote and hold it up in the air above him. He would give it a shake to taunt her. "All I need is a please and thank you... and the movie will be on."

Donovan would hold it out waiting for her reaction with that playful smile on his face. "Let me hear you saaaay it."

Push and Shove

"I don't respond to people with no manners."

"Oh?" Jayr would look down at him a brow cocked suspiciously figuring him for the jokester.

That was of course until he'd push her with a few gestures knocking her about with a slight shove here and there forcing her to roll over only giving up about one or two pillows considering her fetal grip around them entirely. She had something of a fetish for lots of pillows.

Then the taunting gesture with the remote merely made her stick her tongue out towards Donnie with a biting challenge. She'd raise a hand up to swat at the remote like a cat quickly before retracting it and not giving into his little taunt.

"All I need is a please and thank you... and the movie will be on. Let me hear you saaaay it."

She'd bite on her lip gently till it faded a white color before parting them to speak, "Please Donnie can you start the movie, betch." She'd wink with a small snap of her fingers.

Donnie laughed as he waved the remote in front of her. As she swiped at it he pulled it away from her so she wouldn't reach. He would wait 'til she said please to press play... then he had seen her bite her lower lip in which looked like contemplation. Which in turn just looked super sexy and he just wanted her to bite his lip.

"Please Donnie can you start the movie, betch."

The way she snapped her finer and...especially after her last sentence... was enough to make Donnie stop waving that remote in pause as one brow cocked and he puckered his lips. He stared at her with the "WTF face".

"Oh........ Kay.... Um..." he would laugh then and aim the remote to the DVD player. "Guess.... that was good enough." he would click play and it would be obvious as what they were watching due to the menu. "Though next time... try a less gay man approach." he would laugh giving her another nudge to knock her off balance again.

Donovan would lay back... grabbing another pillow from Jayr and threw it at the light switch to turn off the lights. Everyone could agree watching a movie was better in the dark. Boo for unwanted screen glares.

"Are you man enough?" he would laugh looking over at her. "I donno... I might need someone to protect me." he would stick his tongue out off to the left to prove he was just bugging her. With that he would give Jayr a tug at the back of her shirt to try and get her to lay back and get comfy.... if she did so he would grab a bowl of nom noms and put it on his lap for the taking. Distance

"Though next time... try a less gay man approach."

Unfortunately for Donnie's attempts at getting her uncoordinated would go off poorly seeing as she simply redirected her weight becoming more hardly ingrained into the center of the pillows. Her eyes shifting into a snappy glare with a humored smile on her face taking this lightly but as a war of sorts, This was now her domain and she ruled with an iron fist.

As Donnie yanked free yet another pillow she'd make a joke at kicking him slightly before the lights went out and Jayr would jump slightly from her perch becoming unfounded in the depths. Her head arching back to look at him with pride. "Niiice shot." Then a tongue sticking out in challenge daring he'd not be doing that one again from his position now.

"Are you man enough? I donno... I might need someone to protect me."

"Girl!" She'd retort back at him for a second leaning forward at the ready for the movie to captivate her before she was jerked back by the top of her shirt falling back into a nest of his arms feeling as though her barrier was broken. A sharp little unnoticed scowl as she'd lurch forth like a cat placing her elbow into the boy's ribs giving her a slight distance and dominance over him in a way but not feeling so brave as to venture away from his arms. The move was just a precaution in case he got a bit too close.

"Help yourself."

"I think I will!" Stating such adamantly she'd grab a handful of the stuff chewing softly at it but making large visual effects before snorting with a bit of laughter letting the substance spill out a bit.

"Okay soo, I'm not exactly a big horror person so you better have chosen Comedy." She'd glare at him threateningly before settling back calmly.

When he tugged her back she fell into his arms. He was aiming more for the just beside him...but this was fine to him... until he felt the jab to his ribs. He let out a grunt as he somewhat keeled over. He laid back down and didn't bother tugging her closer, but leaving her where she felt most comfortable.

She would grab for the snacks as he would do the same and watched out from the corner of his eye as she smacked her lips around the snack. Though... when she laughed Donnie felt a small chunk on of chewed numnums land on his hand.

He would stare down at it as he then heard Jayr's next words.

"Okay soo, I'm not exactly a big horror person so you better have chosen Comedy."

Donnie would laugh, his eyes squinting as his brows would perk looking over at her. "Well if I had chosen a comedy then you would be laughing more and..." he would hold up the back of his hand closer to her face so she could see the chunk of chewed snack. "And that means there would be a lot more of this..." he would then learn over and wipe the back of his hand on the stomach of her shirt.. That turning into grabbing at the both of her sides to tickle her. "Icky!"
He then realized how close he had gotten when he did so... pausing from moments away from her face... He would clear his throat and lay back where he was before and his eyes went back to the T.V screen... Though once in awhile he would glance over to her direction. "S'good movie..." trying to change the subject... he was going to wait to pounce.

Bad Donnie!

Jayr would be the innocent one in this party, watching the movie and picking herself out as the lead female protagonist otherwise known as the damsel. The good thing about recent movies were that the female roles were becoming more bold, outlandish, and masculine; beating the living bejeasus out of those hapless Zombies while still holding true to the vulnerable iconoclasts.

"Well if I had chosen a comedy then you would be laughing more and...And that means there would be a lot more of this..."

Jayr would eye him closely narrowing her eyes peevishly fixated on his features before retracting her hands from the snack bowl feeling insecure that he'd not judge her display of anxious eating habits.

"Icky!"

That was it, she'd recline a bit away from him using her elbow to adjust right beneath his ribs and give him a small thrust subtly suggesting that he was an asshole. Her arms would cross over her chest and lips shifting into a pouting motion while on the inside of her lips her tongue would routinely check as if she had any kernels of sugary lumps in their that would otherwise ruin her perfect smile.

Bad Donnie....

"S'good movie..."

Jayr wouldn't reply, her eyes stuck to the tv as if going to burn holes in it, her arms plastered so close to her chest that they'd feel sticky and weighted by hundreds of pounds. She couldn't alleviate her mind from crushing him, from harassing herself for not being more 'perfect' but she was distressed enough so that the movie didn't even phase her.

His eyes glanced over at her once more noticing the way she had her arms crossed as her eyes stared only at the TV. He then turned to face her fully now while laughing. "You know I was kidding... Hm?"

He would wrap his arm across her torso to the other side of her and tucked his hand under her back. Once he had a tight hold it would tug her so she would then roll closer onto him and he would give her a hug. "'Cause I was... I actually think it was quite sexy." he would smile and let her go from the hug to let her make her own distance.

If she hadn't rolled off yet, it would shift his body so she would plop on the floor beside him. He would now be on his knees looking down at her either way f she got off on her own or not. His smile would be large as he would reach down and poke each cheek and spread them apart to force her to smile.

"You're gonna enjoy yourself even if I have to force you." he would say with another chuckle.. of course he was expecting her to come back with something snappy... though he would enjoy it.

Cold Shoulder

"You know I was kidding... Hm?"

Jayr would chew on the corner of her cheek working hard to avoid his gaze as she focused heavily on the blood and gore ensuing, to the point she wasn't afraid but rather fueled by a fire that cut a swath through the vampires evil obsessions.

A small yank would snap her back into reality where she met again with the pale green eyes finding them steadily entrancing but fighting against that itself and huffing before settling up again.

"'Cause I was... I actually think it was quite sexy."

Once again she didn't pay attention to the words because he should have known that she was playing around with the rudeness but he took it to a personal level and insulted her. Even though that wasn't her she felt the bitter sting.

Soon enough though he was up in her face again, Jayr's features turning to avert her eyes and look on past his shoulder defiantly still fuming a bit before the shocked jerk in her shoulders signaled the tag of his hands puling apart her cheeks.

"You're gonna enjoy yourself even if I have to force you."

Jayr would try not to smile but she broke out into a short laugh feeling the burn in her cheeks as she'd pull away roughly a hand planting itself in his chest before shoving him off and getting her face back. Her hands rising to her cheeks to rub them gently and dissuade the pain.

"You know, you're kind of a pest." Jayr would smile quickly sticking her tongue out before settling her arms down. So she wasn't annoyed at him any more but she'd still give him a hard time.

Of course he smiled in the victory of getting Jayr to laugh and smile.. Though he could tell she was trying to hold it back so she could be the victor. Jayr then shoved him back, and he moved back to respect her boundries... Then she had gone and called him a pest... And stuck out her tongue at him. He would sit up and cross his arms and cock a brow while looking down at her with his lips puckered.

"A pest, aye?" he would slink back down and lay in the spot prior to getting up. " well pest or not it seemed to work in getting your attention... But I suppose we can watch the movie now..." he would then look towards the T.V and do nothing but stare. It was already too far in to really get into anymore, but he wasn't gonna give Jayr the glory of him giving her all his attention.. If she wanted some attention she was gonna have to be the first to initiate it... Though he didn't expect her to do something ballsy that would be left for him...

Wait for it...waaait for it....

And this was when Donnie proved to be impatient.

"actually... I can't get into the movie because of alll your talking" he would let out a small chuckle and bit his tongue to signify that he was joking so she wouldn't get mad again...'Cause they all knew he was the one who was doing all the talking.

Laying down the rules

"A pest, aye? well pest or not it seemed to work in getting your attention... But I suppose we can watch the movie now..."

Jayr would give him a cautious eye up to see if he wasn't planning a second assault, being used to such underhanded plays and knowing quite well she'd probably pull her own move like that, she wouldn't exactly put it past Donnie. She'd quickly smile and roll her eyes as her arms slowly settled into her lap and the slow weight of her body would tug over to the side landing against his chest head first using him as a pillow even roughly so.

A few seconds ticking by before he'd whine again.

"actually... I can't get into the movie because of alll your talking"

Jayr's eyes would narrow slightly feeling the idea only to swat him but he was just doing this for attention. In a swift motion her left elbow would jerk back roughly into his ribs and hands would come up at the region of his mouth working to either seal him up or get lodged between his lips she wouldn't care so long as he shut the front door.

"Shhh."

It'd all look like a stretch anyway.

Donovan keeled over slightly when he felt that sudden jolt of pain sent to his ribs. He was about to say something to defend his poor bones until he felt his mouth being covered by that small hand... Which he couldn't help but smell the sudden waft of her nice smell... Whether it be perfume or natural... It smelled good... But the way she hushed him.. He couldn't help but feel stupid.

"I... Um.. Ah..." he felt his face get hooter and his shirt get more tight. He reached up with his hand and tugged at the collar of his shirt. "I just... Ah... Be right back..." he would put his hands to each of her shoulders so he could gently pick her up slightly to lay her back on the ground.

Donovan now found himself in the bathroom that wasn't far off from the living room. Each hand gripped the side of the sink as he stared at the mirror. He could see that his cheeks were red.

"You are nervous!? Stupid, stupid, stupid." he would explain in a hushed voice... Looking at himself in the mirror with a surprised expression. Donnie would splash some water over his face and dry it off with a towel. Before he left the bathroom he would point at himself in the mirror with a raised eyebrow... Like a father giving that threatening glare stating that they are watching you.

He would return as quietly as he can... laying back down his eyes would stay on the screen as he sucked on his lower lip nervously.

Is she into me?

He most definitely wanted to keep trying to impress her, but it would seem he was making a fool of himself instead of wooing her. He would put his arm around her and would pull her back to the position she had before he snuck away to the bathroom.. Though this time he didn't say a word... Just watched the shitty movie.
