Hilde x Talon Mischa x Jack Adam x Vanessa Jayr x Kazu Cain x Kirsty Roy x Kevala Donnie x Astrid "..." Jasper was still trying to get over the posted results that had been handed to him. Since his "predecessor" had left before the fundraiser had gotten underway, Jasper, as the new Student Body President, had been asked to take his place. Well, more like bugged until he gave in and agreed to do it. Casually shoving his hands into his pockets, despite being forced to take his "predecessor's" place, he had to admit he had gotten lucky, his "predecessor" had been paired up with a girl that Jasper actually knew and was on pretty good terms with, at least, he hoped they were. But did they have to refer to this as a date? That made him wince inwardly slightly. Couldn't they have called it something else, something that didn't sound like a couple kind of thing? Sighing quietly, he continued to drive his Aston Martin through one of the more nicer neighborhoods in San Diego. He wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but he figured he might as well make the most of it. Pulling up in front of Jayr's house, he pulled into the driveway, and climbed out of his car, a blank expression on his face as he stared at the size of her house. His hands casually shoved in his jeans pockets, he wore casual attire that at the same time, looked a bit a formal. This could be alright, and they were friends... sort of. Maybe more like casual acquaintances at this point in time. Looking somewhat at ease, he walked up the front door and rang the doorbell before taking a step back, as he waited for her to answer the door.

Interrogation. Jayr hadn't been at the drawing for her own personal reasons, something about being set up with someone felt too third world but considering it was for a club effort she was entitled to becoming a part of this whole ordeal. Once again she stood before the mirror sizing up her reflection in the mirror hoping she wasn't too bland. Sighing briefly she'd settle for a casual attire not figuring herself for a dress today it wasn't spring-like enough to be exhibiting that attire.

The slow and drawn out walk of Alexi could probably be hard from outside, the man's large frame along with boots made the hard wood floors he marched on clatter with the dull thrum of noise. The front door clicked opened and Alexi would peer down at the boy. Sure he was tall but Alexi was one taller, the Ex-Russian spy had a demeanor about him that made people shake in their boots.
"Hello, Can I help you?"
His deep tone could be heard well enough but something about his fathers intuition set him on the defensive. It was probably because of the extra amount of time Jayr had spent in the bathroom upstairs.

Jasper waited patiently at the door after ringing the doorbell, as he looked up at the sky, which was turning orange from the sun setting. Jasper didn't have to worry about anyone worrying where he was, since he lived by himself. As Jasper stared up at the evening sky, he caught the faint sound of slow and drawn out footsteps coming closer and closer to the door as he slowly turned his head towards the door, before it stopped on the other side of the door. Without warning, the door suddenly opened, as Jasper, who had resumed staring up at the evening sky, suddenly found himself staring up at a very tall, very imposing man. "..." For some reason, the man reminded Jasper of his own father, in that he had presence that commanded respect and was afraid of very little.
So you can probably guess that Jasper was more at ease than anything else, as evident by the fact he stayed where he was standing. "Is Jayr around, sir?" Jasper asked, feeling the need to give the man some respect as the man peered down at him, his deep tone of voice making him appear even more authoritative, but he was in no way, afraid of the man. "We're suppose to be partners for a fundraiser organized by the school." Well, not really partners per say, but he wasn't just going to say to the man, "Hi, I'm the guy who's taking Jayr out on a date for a school fundraiser." Even though it was organized by the school, he seriously didn't have a death wish right now, and not ever.

Danger and Clash "Is Jayr around, sir?"
Perhaps it was the fact that Alexi was old fashioned but he didn't like the tone the boy used at the door, something about it was imposing like the boy was entitled to enter. Alexi rubbed his palms together after taking them from the door's hinges, his left hand running over the ring on his right sizing up the boy.
"....I don't suppose you have an identity Mr?" Alexi would question him, his eyes friendly but his mind wandering towards his past career figuring soon as he was out of sight Alexi would find whatever he could on this fellow. Of course he wouldn't tell Jayr that'd only spread bad intentions in this already stressed household.
"We're suppose to be partners for a fundraiser organized by the school."
"Oh?" Alexi's eye would perk up still not letting the boy in his house without a name. His arm would arc up towards the wall pressing his body in front like a barrier. Angling his head back Alexi would open his mouth to shout up the stairs.
"Jayr, Theres a boy at the door!"
Something of a secret message passed between them as Jayr only replied by a loud hymning ignoring his calls for attention.

Jasper continued to exchange stares with the man as he saw him rub his palms together, his left hand running over the ring on his right hand. "Wesley. Jasper Wesley. I'm sorry to appear at your front door without any notice Mr...?" Jasper replied, unintentionally mimicking James Bond, as he saw the friendly look in the man's eyes, completely unaware of what the man was going to do the moment Jasper was gone. Nodding his head as the man's eye perked up, Jasper continued to peer up at the man like the two of them were having a staring contest with each other. So far, Jasper was winning... only joking. He saw the man's arm arc up towards the wall, his body pressed up front like a barrier, Jasper would patiently wait until he was given permission to enter the man's house, if he even needed to that is, as the man angled his head back and shouted up the stairs, calling to Jayr, who was ignoring him apparently, as evident by no response on her end.
His hands still in his pockets, Jasper resumed his sort of staring contest with the man, as he patiently waited for Jayr to come... if she ever did that is. He honestly felt like this was a scene out of a high school TV show, as cliched as it definitely did sound, it was the evening of the prom and he was the date that would get thoroughly interrogated by the overprotective father, except he wasn't wearing a suit, though he was wearing a black unbuttoned blazer, he wasn't a high school student anymore, he had already graduated two years ago and was now a university student, and he wasn't nervous about possibly being interrogated by Jayr's father, okay, step-father, but he didn't know that. He wasn't a criminal, he wouldn't be wearing a balaclava if he wasn't one. But at least he was getting a good view of the evening sky.

Always the Criminal.
Alexi stared him down so hoping to pick up the fact that this boy would either back down out of fear or continue this charade out of stupidity, every boy had best known that it was the father you wanted to suck up to when taking a girl out. Unless this generation was thoroughly screwed up. That was the thought running through Alexi's head after getting the third degree from his daughter. Though he was accustomed to this by now. She was as pig headed as her mother, something that seemed to run in the bloodline. He'd smile briefly before covering it up with a scowl for Mr....
"Wesley. Jasper Wesley. I'm sorry to appear at your front door without any notice Mr...?"
Well didn't this boy have balls. Or he was missing a few brain cells as Alexi leaned up taking less to the door and more to the walkway as he cleared his throat. "You can call me Mr. Byrne if you'd like, and if the little lady likes you enough you might get on good terms...."
"But to get on my terms you'll need to keep it in your pants. First off, Don't slouch, mind your manners, I best not hear that she's been hurt, no injuries, nor heartbreak, don't give her too much caffeine she looses it, watch your eyes or I'll cut them out.... Is that clear enough?!"
His eyes would narrow threateningly as he'd stroke his beard giving the boy the third degree only to hear with his expertly trained ears Jayr's heels padding against the stairs and around the bend. With a quick jerk he'd peel around his arm around the boy's shoulder like they'd been old buddies forever and would chuckle heartily at an apparent roaring joke.
"Ah Mr. Wesley and that is why the Raiders will never win the Super Bowl."
"You two have fun?" Jayr would smile innocently with a disbelieving brow raised eying up both individuals before Alexi would slink by behind her giving Jasper a quick vice to his throat threatening the boy's decapitation should a word be ushered.
"Oh of course Princess, just man talk. right Wesley." His tone inclining at the end obviously enough that Jayr would just smile and roll her eyes before stepping out of Alexi's grip. "K'mon lets get out of here."

Jasper saw the man smile briefly before it was quickly replaced with a scowl as he introduced himself, asking for the man's name in return, but not because he was missing a few brain cells, at first he thought the man was a bodyguard, but then he thought to himself, why would Jayr even need a bodyguard in the first place? She was no damsel in distress, that's for sure, so logically, he came to the conclusion that the man was her father, as he saw the man lean up, less against the door and now more on the walkway and clear his throat, his response confirming Jasper's conclusion, he was Jayr's father, okay, step-father, and suddenly there was talk about getting on good terms. Seriously? "But to get on my terms you'll need to keep it in your pants. First off, don't slouch, mind your manners, I best not hear that she's been hurt, no injuries, nor heartbreak--" Heartbreak? But I'm just an acquaintance, we're not even that close... "-- don't give her too much caffeine she looses it, watch your eyes or I'll cut them out.... Is that clear enough?!" "Crystal clear." Jasper replied calmly, unfazed as Mr. Byrne narrowed his eyes threateningly and stroked his beard while Jasper continued to look up at him.
To sum it all up in one sentence: Don't do anything that will affect or hurt Jayr physically, mentally, or emotionally, and keep himself in check. No problems there, Jasper wasn't exactly the smartest when it came to romance, in all honesty, he was a complete idiot when it came to that kind of stuff. Without any warning Jasper was quickly jerked as Mr. Byrne wrapped his arm around Jasper's shoulder like they were the best of friends and start chuckling heartily at an apparently roaring joke that was told. "You don't say, I guess they never will win." Jasper managed to say even as he was being strangled. Jasper would just shut up and nod his head as he saw Jayr eye up the both of them, a disbelieving brow raised as Mr. Byrne moved by behind Jayr, giving Jasper a quick vice to his throat, which Jasper knew it meant he should shut up and not say anything, or it would be off with his head. "Right..." Jasper replied, rubbing the back of his neck as he saw Jayr smile and roll her eyes, as he turned and headed out the door with her, pulling his keys out of his jeans pocket and unlocking the Aston Martin. "Is there anything in mind you want to do? I'm cool with whatever you want."

Role Confusion...
Jayr was quite the perceptive girl so the fact that she saw how nervous he was sunk in quickly, Alexi had threatened him. Though she wasn't entirely sure how good she felt about that he was a shy guy and apparently the type to get into this mood quite often so she was at a loss as to scold Alexi or approve of his actions. So she'd decide on neither, acting as it would to be ignorant of the moment if seen obviously so fixating her eyes away from each of them and striding down the front lawn.
A typical household despite being a beach side residence, The lawn split and well groomed by mother and often times Alexi would slip in a rare flower here and there for the arrangement, a cobblestone path leading the way past the white picket fence that was just about every American's dream.
"Is there anything in mind you want to do? I'm cool with whatever you want."
Jayr would smile shifting about so that she was walking backwards facing him, and skillfully no doubt seeing as she was in heels and walking backwards was simply treacherous if one was without intense mental and physical training.
"Someplace fun, I don't know you're the boy." She'd smile widely putting the ball back in his corner to come up with a plan quickly, she was entirely judging him and made a point not to hide it.

It wasn't that Jasper was nervous or being shy, he was just a little out of it after nearly being strangled, as he continued to rub the back of his sore neck, Jayr's stepfather wasn't a big guy for nothing, he had the strength to back it up, that's for sure. Walking towards his car, Jasper had to admit, despite the size of the place, it was a nice house, typical household with a typical American dream white picket fence. And with a view of the ocean to boot. He saw Jayr smile and turn around, now facing him while walking backwards, and in heels no less. Impressive. "Touche." He replied, cocking an eyebrow at her as she smiled widely, his stomach speaking for him, as his stomach started to growl quietly. "... So, how about dinner? I know a restaurant that serves seafood so fresh, it'll knock you off your feet." Jasper said, casually shrugging his shoulders as he stopped beside his Aston Martin and looked down at it before looking up and over at Jayr, grinning slightly.
"Well, I don't exactly have a license to kill nor do I drink vodka martinis, shaken, not stirred, but since I'll be in California for quite some time, I figured, why not drive in style? Though the car will never shoot front-firing rockets I'm afraid, that would've cost me extra." He laughed, as he unlocked his car and opened the door, climbing in. As soon as Jayr had gotten in, he'd start the ignition and head down the driveway and pulled out into the street, heading to Point Loma-Ocean Beach. Pulling into the Hudson Bay Seafood, he parked in the parking lot, and climbed out of his car. He'd wait for Jayr before locking his car and walk to the front of the restaurant, pulling open the door. "After you." He said, bowing to her slightly as he held the door open for her, waiting for Jayr to go in. As soon as she went in, he would follow, and wait for a waiter to show them to a table, the place was busy today, a decent amount of people were here, though the restaurant was not touristy. Jasper saw a waiter spot the two of them waiting near the front and immediately came up to them.
"Good evening, how many for tonight?" He asked, looking at Jasper, who had been looking at one of the posters on the wall. "Two." Jasper replied, as the waiter nodded. "Right this way then." He said, as he showed them to a table for two, located near the window. Jasper followed the waiter, and sat down at the table, as the waiter placed two menus down and went to help another table. Jasper took one and began to look through it. "Order whatever you like, I'm paying after all."

More Bond References.
Jayr kept her composure completely under control knowing well enough how to walk backwards, at least most of the time, she'd gotten over her clumsy phase in middle school luckily enough. It was the advantage of having changed schools soon as she had made it into high school. No good memories left behind and all the bad left with it.
"... So, how about dinner? I know a restaurant that serves seafood so fresh, it'll knock you off your feet."
With the usher of the last word she'd feel herself bump into the side of the car nearly falling over into it. She'd giggle lightly pulling herself up by the handle and would climb into the car easily enough. Sure it was a nice car but she didn't need the large gaudy shows of power, it just wasn't her style.
"Well, I don't exactly have a license to kill nor do I drink vodka martinis, shaken, not stirred, but since I'll be in California for quite some time, I figured, why not drive in style? Though the car will never shoot front-firing rockets I'm afraid, that would've cost me extra."
He'd laugh and she'd smirk silently not thinking too much on the action itself concerning the fact that her mind now hovered around the car itself. No doubt a kid like him had the money personally to front this bill, let alone his parents must have spoiled the guy. Made sense why he was having trouble's keeping conversation with her the day before, he'd probably built a past off his wealth. Everything bought. A sulking frown forming its way to her face as she kind of faked the grin coming out to a relative neutral finding it easier to zone out and watch the buildings pass as he drove than hold conversation.
"After you."
And they were there in front of a restaurant, and when he said restaurant he really meant it. The place settled in overlooking the sea, something picked out of a girl's famous dreams. She frowned again this time more noticeably as Jasper lead the way.
"Good evening, how many for tonight?"
"Two."
"Right this way then."
Jayr would follow behind him after a quick glimpse at herself, looking down she wasn't very flattering nor equipped to handle something like this, in fact she felt rather gross by comparison. Nit-picking the little details like her short jeans, a white shirt that revealed a bit of the top of her bra. She was a low class rank compared to a place like this. Biting her nails she'd stall up losing Jasper and the waiter for a moment as she looked at herself in the mirror pulling at the hems of her jeans trying to make them longer on the spot but failing miserably.
She'd sigh and quickly move along finding them again before taking her spot. She felt really out of place right now, This wasn't her.
"Order whatever you like, I'm paying after all."
"Umm, I guess I'll have some bread." She mouthed in a light tone not wanting to pick something out she'd really been eying, but looking at this place she really felt belittled.

"You alright?" Jasper asked after Jayr bump into his car, giggling lightly as she pulled herself up by the handle and climb into the car. To be honest, he didn't think about the gaudy show of power associated with it, he just liked it because it looked cool. Climbing into his car, he surprisingly didn't live a life of luxury, mostly because both his parents died when he wasn't even old enough to access the money left to him. He wasn't the best in the conversational department because he had always been a lone wolf, starting when he first entered high school. He saw a grin appear on Jayr's face from the corner of his eye, though he was more focused on driving than wondering what could possibly be running through her mind. Pulling into the parking lot, he led the way to the front door, and held the door open, seeing the frown on Jayr's face.
"..." The only reason he had chosen this restaurant because it wasn't too formal that you'd need to wear formal dinner clothing, but not too casual that you'd be allowed in wrapped in just a beach towel. Jasper glanced behind him and saw Jayr follow behind him after a quick glimpse at herself as he followed the waiter and sat down only to see Jayr was nowhere in sight, as he looked around, searching for her, as he saw her come walking towards the table a couple minutes later and sit down. Jasper rubbed the back of his neck, the last thing he wanted to do was make Jayr feel uncomfortable. "... I think you look beautiful... Amazing if I may add. I know this place isn't exactly the most casual restaurant around, to be honest, I'm not exactly used to the atmosphere myself. I never really grew up in a life of luxury, more like a life on the street."

Small talk, not the life story.
Jayr sat there still fixated a bit by the pristine glass, sure it may have been fairly low key but it wasn't so much the fact that it was a rich establishment, More like the fact that this was a first date and at that a fundraiser, and the fact that she wasn't warned at least he was classy enough to look the part. Jayr looked at herself in the reflection of the water glass thinking little of herself; like a whore suit. A hand would move up and she'd bite at her nails with a bit of contempt.
"... I think you look beautiful... Amazing if I may add. I know this place isn't exactly the most casual restaurant around, to be honest, I'm not exactly used to the atmosphere myself. I never really grew up in a life of luxury, more like a life on the street."
Her head would turn up from her self degradation coming to appreciate the comment, well at least the first part. Lips pursing in mixed ideals and thoughts on how to reply she felt herself being rather boorish and rude thinking what she had.
"Thank you."
Quietly speaking of course before clearing her throat and drinking from the glass with a calm exposure before breathing and sitting up. "Then why not just leave it?"
She'd expose boldly without much thought on the matter but it was a serious enough a question. If you didn't enjoy something it was best to move on and create something better. At least that was her policy.

Jasper glanced at Jayr every so often before returning to looking out the window behind her, watching the sun slowly dip low behind the ocean horizon. As he glanced at her once more, he saw her stare fixated at the water glass, her reflection reflected in the still water, as she lifted her hand up and began to bite her nails. He saw her look up and purse her lips, as he cringed inwardly, why did he mention his "past"? Sometimes he just said things without even thinking about it. "... It's the truth... You're welcome..." He replied quietly, a small smile on his face as she cleared her throat and took a drink from her water glass before sitting up. "... Heh. To be polite just for the first few minutes, at the very least... and mooch off the free bread sticks." He replied, as he pushed his chair back and grabbed a bread stick from the bread basket before motioning with his head towards the door. Taking a few steps away from the table, he looked behind him and stopped, as he shoved his free hand into his jeans pocket. "You gonna sit there all evening with the thinking deep look, or you coming? Yeah, it looks hot and all, but it might give the wrong impression to people here." He said teasingly, but only speaking loud enough that only she could hear his comment. Don't get the wrong idea though, Jasper didn't like like her, he just thought of her as an acquaintance. Making his way to the door, he pushed it open and waited for Jayr to go out, following out after her, heading towards his car while munching on the bread stick. "Well I'm still hungry, and this bread stick did diddly squat. Wanna grab a burger?" Regardless of whether the bread stick helped or not, Jasper tossed the last little bit of the bread stick into his mouth and unlocked his car, climbing into the driver's seat and waited for Jayr, as he placed the key into the ignition and turned the radio on, music blaring from the speakers.

Just hiding
"... Heh. To be polite just for the first few minutes, at the very least... and mooch off the free bread sticks."
Jayr didn't budge from the spot, was this his 'clever' ploy to get to her. She'd been with a few other guys before though not on intimate levels and she knew the regular pony show, butter one up play them for a role and then try to get in under that skin. She wouldn't be fooled by showmanship of mixed messages. Either that or he was just trying to please her by whatever means. A thing that both annoyed her and pleased her. Despite being the princess she had lived up to in every role before she liked the honest pleasure of earning her keep.
"You gonna sit there all evening with the thinking deep look, or you coming? Yeah, it looks hot and all, but it might give the wrong impression to people here."
Snapping out of the brief pretext Jayr would slowly move up, hands coming to her hair to part it down and press it past her shoulders rather than falling over her eyes. Eyes they were the doorway to ones soul, perhaps it was best to keep them hidden, as if not to get hurt.
Jayr would move slowly towards the doorway feeling the ache of guilt as she nodded apologetically towards the staff working here, what nobody seemed to understand was the people trying to make the effort, even so Jayr hadn't mooched, not even a bite of the bread out of that very same guilt that she was depriving someone's effort.
"Well I'm still hungry, and this bread stick did diddly squat. Wanna grab a burger?"
"Sure why not." Jayr would shrug finding her spot in the car calmly pressing her palms to her eyes to rub her forehead without ruining her make-up. Even as the music came on she couldn't find a way to break out of this weird mood she was now discovering. Perhaps this whole fundraiser was a bad idea.
She'd slowly move in the seat rolling her neck to sway with the music unconscionably. Then again, at least she could make up for those bread sticks they'd taken from the place. A low leveled sigh as her hands would settle into her lap shyly.

'Clever'? Not really, there was no benefit to Jasper to try to get to Jayr, nor was he trying to please her either. Taking exactly ONE bread stick, leaving a five dollar bill underneath the bread basket, to, you know, make it up to the waiter who had shown them to their table and gave them menus, only for him to get up without ordering anything and leave. Glancing over at the waiter, he nodded slightly at them, as the waiter understood. Although Jasper did not eat at the restaurant so frequently that he would be considered a regular, he came here enough that the staff knew him well enough, and held no hard feelings towards him. Turning his head slightly to look behind him, he saw Jayr follow behind him slowly, her hair parted down and pressed past her shoulders, instead of falling into her eyes. Walking out of the restaurant, he headed to his car and unlocked it, as he climbed in, noticing from the corner of his eye Jayr press her hands to her eyes and rub her forehead, as he drove out of the parking lot.
Coming to a stop at a red light, he glanced briefly over at her, facing forward as the light turned green and took off, as he pulled into the parking lot at Mission Bay Park. Turning his car off, he stayed sitting in his car, as he carefully stared into empty space, his hands casually shoved in his pockets. "... What's wrong Jayr? I haven't seen you like this before. If it was something I did wrong... I'll make up for it... I don't know how... but I will... by my own hands..." Thing was, Jasper was absolutely bewildered and had no idea what it was that he did. Leaning back in his seat, Jasper closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair, as he let out a small soft sigh. Slowly opening his eyes, Jasper suddenly opened the driver's side door and climbed out, closing the car door quietly as he leaned against it, his hands, along with his car keys, in his jeans pockets. Nearby, crowds of people had gathered near the the bay as a fireworks competition festival was about to begin, as Jasper lifted his head up and stared up at the dark evening sky.
