Alexis sat in a restaurant that was a liiiittle bit upper class... not overly so, but it was a place people that weren't financially stable would go to if they were on a lunch break whilst at work. Her her legs were kicked up on the table across from her as she read a news paper and drank her coffee waiting for her food to arrive. Her large glasses were on and she was wearing a black blazer that was form fitting and only half sleeved while her bottom was a black skirt.... of course it was reasonably short and her boots managed to tone down her business-like appeal. She looked normal... calm... collected... but that was because she had years of hiding what she felt or any secrets.. her being a pathological liar helped substantially... though inside she was a wreck. She was aware of the Experiment #774.... but she never really got to witness the girl too much... she was usually in her cell and looking lifeless... but when she pulled Kevala away from the bloody scene... seeing the things eyes just stare at her was the most eerie thing she had ever witnessed. How could something preform such ghastly torture on someone and not feel anything? Just something about it made her stomach turn.

"This seat taken?"
David's voice would sound directly to her side, his body shifting as he took the seat across from her. He had entered the place without any preconcieved notions of running into someone he knew. Still, Alexis being there was more than a shock for the Dragon. He didn't expect to see her again, or to even be okay to sit at the same table as her. Last time they had spoken, it was about the Death of Gabriel Seran. He was unsure whether she knew or remembered that it was he who supposedly killed him, and he guessed if she did she was probably still pissed.
He folded his hands and would watch her, his voice calm.
"How...uh...how are you?"
He seemed ill at ease, but eager to try and get back in her good graces. He missed the friendships he once had, and seeing her rekindled that. He wore a black vest over a long sleeved white shirt, blue jeans giving a different sort of relaxed look. His hair was long as usual, his skin shown through the rolled up sleeves; scarred, and proven in the tests of time and battle. He wondered if now would be the time of his apology...or if she would even care to give him the time of day.

"This seat taken?"
Alexis' ears would perk hearing the voice getting taken off guard. She wasn't expecting anyone and it definitely wasn't the voice of her boyfriend. She turned her face from the paper and up at the man who was now sitting in the seat her legs were on... which she would move so he could sit. She really didn't know what to expect. Alexis took a little while to figure out who it was... only because she hadn't seen him in so long and two years was enough to mature him. The last time they had spoken he had broken the news that e had killed Gabriel. That was obviously a horrible time for her and she left him... never wanting to see the "friend" who had killed the one she loved. It still kind of pissed her off that he would have killed him. Gabriel wasn't dead, but who was to say David wouldn't have killed him if he knew Gabriel was still alive?
"How...uh...how are you?"
Alexis set the paper down on the table top and took a sip of her coffee while her strikingly emerald hues would look up at him. She set down the cup while she sucked on her upper lip... like smacking her lips from the taste and the heat of the coffee. Her eyes never leaving him. She crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair. He was obviously trying to make some form of amends... and Alexis had been in therapy... and getting better at letting go of grudges... like her situation with Kev... It took long enough but sure enough it was safe to say they were friends....hell... family.
"...Alright..." her silky Australian accent answered in a slightly questioning manner due to the randomness of such a situation... still unsure of how to react.... After all... this was the boy who had tried helping her out of that thick shell.... of course only for her to get her heart broken... but at least it set her up for it to be later fixed... and he was the one that was there for her when in fact her heart had been torn to pieces... when she crumbled to the ground.... He was a friend.
So what did she do? She got up from her chair and went behind him to wrap her arms around his neck to hug him tightly as she buried her face in between her arm and the side of his head... her next words muffled out because of this "I missed you."

Davids mood dropped a little when she leaned back, stating she was alright. It was obvious she was probably still thinking about what they last said to each other. How she never wished to see him again...When she stood, he expected her to leave, and his eyes went to the table in depression. He guessed her shouldn't have been to hopeful when he first saw her. He had been more than nervous- downright scared. Beating his ass was probably what he most deserved so he guessed he was probably lucky she had only decided to leave instead. He learned his lesson, though. If he saw her again, despite how he would want to talk to her, he would just leave her alone and never-
Arms wrapped around him, causing him to stiffen in surprise.
"Alexis...?"
Her face buried into his shoulder, his eyes going liquid and tranquil. Her words, "I miss you", caused a stirring. It was probably the closest he had come to tears since Emily had died- he had no friends. Sure, plenty of people wanted to kick his ass, or respected him because of his previous acolades, but nobody actually truly saw him as someone they would want to be around. His hand came up, gently taking the side of her head as he tilted his own to touch hers.
"I missed you too..."
After it was over, he assumed she would take her seat, and he would re-adjust himself in an effort to show that he was a little more relaxed than he was when he first sat down. He smiled, his eyes shining a thank you to the girl who honestly didn't owe him anything. He had supposedly killed her boyfriend, and she forgave him for it. Definitely unexpected. Knowing gabriel, he probably already told her that he was still alive, so David saw no need to mention it, instead looking to the waitress who came to him. "I'll just have a cup of hot chocolate please." She looked at him a little weirdly, but left to get him his drink, David turning back to Alexis.
"So- you moved."
More of a statement than a question, but you could tell he was also asking why within that statement.

Alexis would give him one last little squeeze before letting go and returning back to her seat. Her eyes took on a brighter shade now that her eyes were a bit more damp with tears that tried to force themselves out. Always when she was about to cry her eyes got brighter in shade... if anything making them more alluring and making her that more beautiful.
She reached for the coffee and would take a sip trying to get rid of the lump in her throat with the hot beverage. Lexi would set it down and would stare at the liquid ripple as she tried to hold her composure. She didn't understand why she felt so emotional... just... perhaps it was because she missed having a friend... He was.... her first friend. He didn't take advantage of the time she tried sleeping with him... he got her to open up instead... something she never had done to anyone to that extent... she was always afraid to... scared people would abandon her for who she was rather than abandon her for her bitchy front.
"So- you moved."
Alexis smiled... her eyes still looking into the coffee as if a longing look was apparent. She would simply nod before getting up enough courage to look up into his eyes.
"Um... no." she would let out a small huff of air that would be classified as a short laugh. "Yeah... I moved here awhile ago... Gabriel got a job as an enforcer and eventually I was offered the same position... so we moved down here." there was a lot more to that, but she didn't feel like getting in to it nor did she want to tell anybody. "And you? Are you.... here permanently or are you just on a quest to look for my forgiveness." she would say with a shied smile as she sheepishly bit her tongue and her eyes slightly squinted and glimmered from the smile.
She was kind of hoping that he had moved here.... She would like to catch up with him... start with a new slate. The waitress would return with his hot chocolate and with her place of pasta she had ordered. She would grab her fork and stab into some shrimp as she twisted it twining the spaghetti around the fork. "Sorry for eating..." she would apologize before sliding the fork full of food into her mouth waiting for his answer as she chewed and let the taste soak into her tongue.

Davids eyebrow twitched at the mentioning of Gabriel. He was here? And as an enforcer....it made him worry quite a bit about her safety. Gabriel got these...ideas into his head, and regardless of the damage to himself or those around him, he would fight for those goals to his own destruction. Of course, last time they spoke, it was on friendlier terms- they had even aligned themselves to the same side. But that was past, and he still harboured a heavy distrust for Nova. He took the hot chocolate as she handed it to him, smiling and nodding his thanks. He took a sip, carefully, trying not to burn his lips. As he set it down, he looked to Alexis, laughing a little.
"You should be. How dare you consume food in my presence? Geez...and just when i thought we could be friends again..." His own eyes twinkled in that same spirit, David looking down at the table as she asked him if he had moved there. "Yeah, i'll be living here now. I had fallen ill and into a coma a while back, and since 259 just...doesn't feel the same anymore, i decided to come here. Didn't think i'd meet so many people i actually knew though." He held his cup as he stared into the deep brown drink, white fluffs of marshmellow reminding him of a time with Bastille.. He took a deep breath.
"Are you attending 774? Or just working?"

She would laugh with him... even as much as rolling her eyes to his joke as she munched away on her lunch. She would then listen while eating... listening to his story. Coma.. hm... right now it sounded more inviting than what life had to offer.... she was seeing more and more how much life was right fucked up... sick and twisted... though she would never wish to be in a coma once again... scared of thinking about waking up to something terrifying...just like last time... just in time to see the line go flat for the girl in the hospital bed next to her.... her own sister...
She tuned out of her own thoughts when she heard another question directed towards her. She would nod... but not because she was agreeing, but because she was just nodding to every chew before she would swallow and speak.
"Um no.. I'm just working for them... amongst other things... Just... living life you could say." which was completly not the case. It felt like she no longer had a life... it seemed as if she was at The Institute for the majority of the weak... and when she was off Gabriel was on. It was no doubt Tyrone wanting to keep us separated in hopes Alexis would go to him in a "time of need" rather than her boy friend. "Well... I'm glad you're here... I.. I kind of want to say sorry for never...keeping in contact with you..." she would slide that fork between her lips once more tugging the food off and into her mouth. "We.. need to hang out some more...yeah?"

David reached up, placing his right hand behind his head uncomfortably. She had apologized even though, in reality, he should be the one saying he was sorry. He hadn't really accounted for the fact that they would reach the point of talking about it so soon, even though they probably wouldn't have a massive discussion about it. She was strong, he knew. Strong mentally, in many ways. It was probably one of the reasons Gabriel had chosen her, for that spark of intelligence.
"Yeah well, i guess you had good reason, right?"
He gave a half hearted smile, as though he was trying to make her feel a little better. She had plenty good reason to hate him at the time-killing the man she loved should have made her hate him forever. She didn't know that he and David were now uneasy allies, but he supposed that would come in time. He took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts as she said they should hang out more. He looked up at her, staring into her eyes as a smile made it way slowly across his face.
"I would definitely like that. Soon, i hope."
He looked around a moment before looking back at her.
"Where are you heading after this?"
