Second times a Charm
Though perhaps maybe it was third, Jayr however neglected the statement with her bold steps forward choosing to host yet another club sanctioned event. For now the team sported a small group of girls today; Astrid (Mascot), Dylan (Co-Captain), and hopefully her new acquaintance Charlie. Albeit all things set aside Jayr was a little nervous as every day it seemed like her first right before a crowd holding her list of materials locked away in her head hypothesizing the thought of her own team mates laughing at her or even those watching.
A quick change would keep her mind scurrying about to keep up. Sliding into the colors that'd been handed down to her. A Crimson red and Black. Team colors she believed that were an easy fit not to mention made all of those around her a tad bit more sexier. Black always gave a better skin tight appearance. Jayr would pat her stomach looking fairly good for now but as the butterflies within rumbled she had half a mind to throw up.
"Phew...its alright, things will go just fine."
A couple of labored breaths and Jayr would grab her materials and sneak once more out into the large Gym, ready and early she'd take up the center stage knowing that the other sports were out for the afternoon only mentioning a few faces of druggies and perverts taking up the stands to watch.

Dylan had made sure she was a bit more early so she could change before the other girl's showed up. She really didn't like being in the change rooms with those teens... their judging glances and little stabs at her...little... subtle... stabs. So now that she had been dressed in the uniform she would slip out into the cafeteria to buy a water bottle. She scrounged up some change from inside her couch earlier...and from under her mattress... so she was lucky enough to buy a water. Then having this luck she would keep the water bottle and just use tap water now that she would have something to hold it with.
She took her time to walk back seeing as how she was a bit early. Students would walk by checking her out and watching in awe as a cheerleader walked down the halls and would be giving them the light of day by smiling at them in return. Dylan wasn't mean... though around Jayr and the others she did find she would get a little more... dare I say? Bitchy? Meh... she needed friends and Jayr was nice to her so that's all she cared for.
Once she walked into the gym she had seen that Jayr was there and ready. Dylan looked at the large clock behind the gate so as no balls can knock it down. Jayr got ready fast as well so be it for the same reason.
She would set her water bottle down off down to the side..making sure it was in eyes view so that some of the people that were there wouldn't jack it. Now that was taken carried for, Dylan would approach Jayr with a large smile. "Hey girlie."

Charlie was actually rather happy to be in her uniform. She had missed being a cheerleader. The last time she had done such was in the junior squad before she had left home 3 years ago. She had of course changed in the restroom, because well, she had a bit of a habit she had to feed and well, that was the best place for it.
Now as she exited, dressed in that typical little skirt, the matching shirt and the sneakers, she looked every bit the cheerleader that every other girl did. Of course that group of airheads were on her heels, each of them going on about how they had seen her in this magazine or that. Or how her add for that one perfume had been so beautiful, but honestly she just rolled her eyes and continued on.
As she neared the area of the practice, she smiled spotting her sister and Jayr, offering up a little wave only to hear a slight, collective gasp from the group behind her.
Turning to face them as she bounced backwards she blew them a kiss.
"Guess you girls should learn to play nice with everyone. Never know what connections you could fuck up by being such total bitches."
Oh she knew why they had been following her, she had connections, and that meant she could get them in with an agent or a photographer and maybe they could be the next model on the page of Vogue someday. But she had also heard the snippy comments about her sister and that right there had been a deal breaker.
Smiling almost sweetly at them, she turned around and bounced off in the direction of the two she felt were worth her time. Of course. Leaving the girls in their little huddle trying to figure out how to recover from their little boo boo. Oh how she loved being her sometimes.
"Hey guys."
Every bit as chipper and perky as would be expected, but then, she was usually a happy girl.....when she had her fix and had a reason to be such. Which right now, she was with her sister and doing something she loved. What more could she ask for?

The sound of footsteps could be heard as Jasper shuffled into the gym, dressed in casual attire befitting the task he had been set up to do. He had learned that he would be taking over as mascot for one pep rally, after which he would be giving the position back to the previous owner. One hand casually shoved in his pockets, Jasper didn't mind, to be honest. He knew there'd be consequences when he had given Jayr Kevala's schedule, he honestly expected Kevala to can him from his Pillar title, and even now, he was expecting her to at any time. That was the only reason he would even be in the gym at the cheer practice, you would never find Jasper here unless he had a very good reason. Giving a small friendly wave to Jayr, he took a seat on the very bottom row of the bleachers, a water bottle clutched in his free hand, as he heard some of the guys sitting up higher on the bleacher began to whisper amongst themselves, was it honestly that shocking that he knew the Cheer Squad Captain? Maybe... if you're not really part of the "clique" to begin with, which is probably why the guys above him were whispering like there was no tomorrow. But that was something Jasper never really was part of, he was more of the lone wolf type. Placing his water bottle down beside him, Jasper leaned back against the bleacher behind him, his hands resting behind him, as he waited.

Breaking down and building up Jayr smiled widely seeing as her bestie showed up first. A deep sigh of relief taking in a wind of air and puffing out her chest confidently as she bounced back giving her a small hug to a degree before turning about to face the new girl who was Dylan's sister.
"Guess you girls should learn to play nice with everyone. Never know what connections you could fuck up by being such total bitches."
Like the mother of the pride Jayr would perk up almost angrily so making a judgmental look towards Dylan as if asking her a nonverbal permission to scold her sister for doing this public embarrassing motion. She'd put on a neutral face a bit on edge angrily as she'd march forward hands angled on her hips and steadying herself forward.
"Hey guys."
"Charlie, that is not how we handle things here!" Jayr would settle it in a flat and angry tone, all controlled of course so it wasn't her raising her voice just enough to make a scene of her, "We are a team, if you have a problem have me settle things, I don't want to treat you like a child but I will if you act like it."
Her tone slightly vicious before she'd back up giving Charlie her back, Jayr would take a deep breath hoping that Dylan would back her up if not she'd be all alone in this crowded room a bit scared and a bit unsure but always focused for the next opportunity.
The click of the doors and Jasper would pop in, a bit late to mention but it was a new face to the crowd and made things undoubtedly less awkward. She'd take in another breath before stepping forward again and towards the bleachers.
"Hey didn't think you'd show." Jayr would bring up softly before turning around towards her pack pulling out a male's uniform which was probably uncomfortably tight on him but she didn't bring the mascot uniform today, for now he'd need to settle.
"Best get changed quickly before you miss out." A wink and she'd turn back to the mixed wave of messages, some angry at Charlie, others considering Jasper's attractiveness, and another considering his gay factor for being on the team not knowing the situational awareness.
"Alright, Everybody we have a few new teammates and I know we have problems but if you'd like to get into fights or little squabbles take it outside the team, if you're here to cause trouble I won't be putting up with you."
Jayr would glare starting at Charlie and slinking her gaze across the others as well before standing up straight and forcing out her hips. "So this week we have a lot to prepare for, for one its the pep rally in front of the whole school so lets get in formation."
Jayr would point angling people behind her to form in a line and then organizing them into counter-acted triangles and prepared to cheer. Her legs would divide and then clap her hands before tilting to the left and clap in the reversing directions from one side to the next.
"Ifyou came, here to cheer let us hear you yell your year!"

Charlie just rolled her eyes and leaned back against something or other, not really paying much attention though she gave forth the image that she was. Yes she had been told what to do her entire life, and she could handle it from this little chicky pooh to. It really didnt phase her what so ever.
Brushing her tongue over her lips she would pull a stick of gum from the waist line of her skirt, unwrapping it and popping it into her mouth as she let the little cheer captain, who took her position waaaaay too seriously ramble on.
Yet then when it was time to actually do something, she simply offered her sister a little wink and then moved to get into her designated spot. Listening once more to oh great captain Jayr start her praddle.
God that girl loved to hear herself talk.
Shaking her head she would simply spread her feet, and follow along, letting the others yell out first, giving her more of a feel for what the hell was expected of her by the iron maiden up front.
Oh yeah this was gonna be fun.......She just had to keep reminding herself that this was for the sake of her having fun....this was for her........and to spend time with Dylan......Nothing more...she could suffer through all the bitching and the drill sergeant crap if she juuuuust kept that in mind.

(OOC: I'm assuming Jayr and Reira will talk about cheer in our first thread, hope that's okay!)
After hitting it off with the school captain during their chance encounter, their conversation had drifted off to cheerleading. Reira was more than surprised to know that there was a cheer team in the school now and she was more than simply grateful to Jayr for forming such a competitive sports team. Cheer was not simply dancing, tumbling, perfect synchronization, stunting, jumps or cheering but it was dangerous, competitive and crazy sport that required an indestructible amount of energy and determination. Reira had been in a cheer team before but she did not have too much experience since she was more of a gymnast. So now that she knew about this team she was more than eager to get back into being active.
Heading towards the practice location Reira was dressed in simple spandex shorts and a tank top with her hair all tied up and out of the way, afterall any type of jewelry, and locks of hair in the way could result in serious injuries. She didn't have a uniform yet but maybe she would be supplied one later on in the practice or something.
Either way she was a bit late but she made it just in time to hear Jayr's little spewl and mini cheer.
"If you came, here to cheer let us hear you yell your year!"
Reira wasn't exactly designated a spot but she found herself into an area where she balanced out the formation and filled in an empty spot for the time being since Jayr already seemed to have created a cheer and wanted the rest of the team to listen up. Many of the girls looked at Reira with confusion and some with disdain wondering who she was and why she didn't have to try out.
For now she just gave Jayr a small wave and smile before awaiting further instructions. If she had to try out then that's okay after all teamwork was important and if those girls didn't listen to Jayr about getting along and respecting one another then the team would fall apart.

First come the rhythm of the beat.
Jayr would turn about and grin to herself having enjoyed that brief splurge of victory as Charlie backed down. That was surely handled better than an all out brawl, something like that could tear apart a team, however her dominance would still remain which was indeed half the battle.
With her back to the squad she'd make her movements slow and drawn out for them to mimic first, her voice low and repetitively slow for the group to catch on at something people would call half speed despite it being even a quarter of that,
"Griffin's fans lets hear you yell! LETS GO GRIFFINS."
As Jayr did so her body would form a very crew cut style of cheering, her motions box like as she clapped before stepping inwardly expecting those behind her to follow as well before reciting the verse once more and freezing at center her frame frozen and allowing for her head to drop.
"1...2...3...4."
Breaking from the motion she'd cross out across to the side making her hand motions outward hoping that the group would take that as a suggestion to scatter and form into their own different rows two by two.
"Griffin's fans lets hear you yell we're raising the bar!"
Jayr would then step back still clapping briefly as she would grab a group of girls, those few being Dylan, Reira, and yes Charlie moving Charlie to the rear or as she figured it the "trust" position, taking Reira to the right of her and Dylan to the left and motioning their hands into a cradle to hold as Jayr moved into position to be lifted.
"Alright now we split off into three of these and then all lift simultaneously and press the center up atop our thighs alright?" She'd look first towards her group noticing it was the base for her and then to the others hoping they understood the lift itself.

Jasper turned his head to face forward as he saw Jayr step forward and towards him. "Surely you jest? I wouldn't miss this for the world." Jasper replied, half sarcastic, half teasing, as he saw her turn around and pull out a uniform from her pack, a blank expression appearing on his face. ... Are you serious? If this was an anime, he'd have a sweat drop on the back of his head as he returned Jayr's wink with a smile torn between amusement and exasperation before getting up off the bleachers and heading towards the boys locker room, male uniform in hand. A couple minutes later, he emerged from the locker room, tugging at the shirt which was nearly suffocating him, but it wasn't the only part tight on him, the ENTIRE uniform itself was incredibly tight on him, given how muscular he was, and while it did show off his upper body muscles, the cons heavily outweighed the pros.
Knowing very well that if he tried to sit back down on the bleachers, he would end up tearing the uniform, he instead stayed standing, his water bottle in his hand as he folded his arms lightly across his chest, careful to not tear the shirt from and watched Jayr direct the other girls into position before starting the routine. He then heard the gym door open and looked over, seeing a unfamiliar girl walk in. He watched as Jayr immediately and rather effortlessly included her into the routine. Seeing as he was the mascot for the pep rally, he had very little else to do except stand around and watch the girls practice the routine, though he was spending more time looking out the window than actually watching the girls, unlike the rest of the guys in the gym, who's eyes were practically glued to the cheerleaders. All you guys here, take a cold shower... Alright snap out of it. None of them are going to sleep with you.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay and lameness.... still not technically back on the board 'til ma sissy and her friend are gone =D but this post or nuffin!)
Dylan's smile returned to her face when she had seen her sister. Wow... she really didn't expect her sister to be joining them. Made Dylan wonder if she could recruit some people.
Right then Jayr had a little snap at her sister. Well... Dylan couldn't do that and she appreciated her sister sticking up for the two of them. Though it was wrong of her sister... but still wrong how Jayr handled it. Jayr was her friend.... Charlie was her sister.... SO... Dylan looked down to avoid both their glances. Then she heard someone join the gym. She assumed it was a guy coming to watch, but then it became apparent he was apart of them.
Her eyes would scan him up and down as a slight smile spread across her lips. Yer she was checking him out.
Though it all came to an end when they started the cheer.
Dylan got in her position and did as she was supposed to as another one had joined them. Dylan would smile at the girl to greet her as she would get ready to do the cheer that Jayr had discussed with her.

(OOC: Jayr, I'm assuming we're doing the exact thing in the video?)
The cheer was simple enough and the other girls seemed to be getting the hang of it. Afterall all the cheer movements required full strength to pump out otherwise it'll be sloppy and look dead. Cheer movements needed to look sharp and accurate because in competitions and in preformance, the judges and audiences are far away so the motions are blurred. If the movements are sharp, the whole team looks organized, and neat...along with the fact that people can actually see what you're doing instead of guessing if your arm is supposed to be lopsided or just by accident.
What was difficult for the other girls Reira would assume is to understand the stunts. Jayr began to move the girls into stunt groups telling to them to break up into teams in their positioned areas. Reira, and another blonde haired girl, who Reira thought looked quite cool was positioned as the 'base' which meant they were the brute force of the stunt group. They were in charge of the lifting and catching. Charlie was the 'third' who stood behind the flyer/top aka. Jayr. She was in charge of lifting as well and usually they directed the stunt group and would help catch and position while holding onto the ankles or lower leg of the flyer.
"So I'll guess I should briefly go over how this should go, just in case cause we don't want Jayr falling and breaking something." Reira would suggest, afterall Dylan and Reira might be lifting at different heights creating an unbalanced base while Charlie might not even have supported Jayr in the back.
"I suppose we're doing a simple 'double base' stunt, then extention. Me and the other base," Reira looked at Dylan smiling, "will bend our knees our hands should be out, while our fingers should be facing inward towards each other. The third, who should be the person behind the flyer, the one going on top, should call out, ' One, two, down, up' So the one two, is basically the flyer pushing off of the shoulders of the base and the ground to lift her legs into the base's hand. Down is the base bending down slightly more and the hands turn out to along the base of the show to grasp the toes and the heel in support. and the up is pushing up with arm and leg strength. The third at the beginning should be holding onto the waist of the flyer and on down, push down on the waist, and up quickly let go to hold onto the ankles and help push the girl up. So the base should be holding the girl up at chest level, another down up we'll push our arms above our heads, and that's a double base extention... if one base is taller than the other, the taller one should move their feet wider apart to adjust.
Normally, some people who haven't done this before would have their butt fall into the third's face, so, miss third, push the butt up and keep steady. Flyers should suck their butt in and lock their knees otherwise it won't work...." Reira would note to the others.
Reira didn't want to seem too 'leaderish' or too in control but Reira didn't want some random girls falling and breaking their neck not knowing what to do! It was Cheer safety 101.

ooc: yeah just about.
Struttin' our stuff
"So I'll guess I should briefly go over how this should go, just in case cause we don't want Jayr falling and breaking something."
Jayr would smile back quickly feeling that perhaps it was best to go off of caution rather than blind faith. Thankfully Reira was here to cover that end for them. Jayr would laugh shortly to downplay alot of the seriousness in the room although considering Jayr had started that very same attitude. She liked to play as the devil's advocate more often than not, and in a very devilish way.
Then Reira went off with the entire scheme of things to do, and considering this team itself was a very new it was good to hear that at least someone knew what they were doing. Jayr's cheeks would go red with that brimming smile knowing almost immediately that Reira was far more qualified for this than she was. The resounding feeling being bittersweet but all the same justified.
"Exactly." Jayr would say playing it off as though she knew it down to the mark although truth be told she couldn't have summerized it nearly that well. It was best to allow her teammates to show their strong suits and bolster them as they went rather than punishing for a matter that conflicted. That was the type of leadership Jayr strove for, bringing out everyone's best.
"Alright, you guys try without me for one sec." Jayr would instruct with a handsignal as she backtracked heading towards Jasper as she instrumentally turned about towards him with that very same smile, the red finally flushing out of her cheeks turning a normal tint.
"Excellent, so you're the mascot." She stated openly and without intention of insinuating insult but rather bluntly speaking forth, "Kinda your job to pump up the crowd and be funny I suppose."
Again she'd tinker off, her mind fading into the rafters as she thought on the ordeals of a mascot figuring them for the playful figure of the field and to stand out so to speak.
"Here basically what you want to do is, make large movements." She figured the suit'd be heavy so big movements would be appropriote. Jayr would sizably puff out her bust and reach up to the sky before meandering about with a go-lucky attitude flaunting each turn to an over exaggerated state.
"See, kinda silly."
