As the clock ticked by, Kirsty found herself growing more and more anxious. She sat in the corner of the bar, her legs propped up on the chair in front of her, the loud and somewhat catchy mullet rock music came from the jukebox in the corner.
The knife she held in her hand was being put to reasonably good use, the blood was easily removed from beneath her fingernails, blood from the last person that she had been hired to... dispose of.
Tonight was to be a busy night, she had been ordered to follow three people, two of which had been completed. The last of which was more complicated than the previous two. The man she now trailed was a doctor of sorts who dabbled in things that weren't particularly licit.
Kirsty studied him as he sat at the bar, his hands clamped tightly around the glass of J.D. in front of him. He knew she was there... He knew he was being tailed. The woman that had approached him before had been dispatched reasonably quickly, if Kirsty hadn't been on duty she would have been her target for some... extracurricular activities.
Removing her boot-clad feet from the chair, Kirsty placed the switchblade back in its rightful place, the inside of her right boot. Then stood up slowly, the music was now being drowned out by her orders ringing in her ears.
Wait for Jake to approach the bar, make sure he's seen then take the Doc away. Through any means necessary make sure you keep him alone. By midnight Jake will have his alibi and you can dispose of him.
Kirsty had no idea what had come over her, she'd never been a killer... She'd only gotten into this business to keep herself safe from some former... friends of hers. And now she was being paid $100,000 apiece for every contract she completed. Her unknown boss was being reasonably generous.
Suddenly she felt that old familiar feeling, she pressed a hand to her temple and leaned against the wall, her eyes tightly closed. There was someone there, someone fighting her, someone trying desperately to come out.
No! Not now!
You can't keep this up forever.
"Maybe not... But I plan to try..."
