Kevala was in the halls of the school, making her way from the library to the courtyard where she planned on catching a little bit of relaxation in between classes.
So far today things had been pretty tame and she though this would be a great time for her to just.....chill. Dressed in her usual jeans and black tank top, she would slip her glasses on as she pushed open the doors at the front of the school.
It was a nice day, the courtyard seemingly empty as she took in a deep breath of the fresh air. Eyes closing for a moment as she enjoyed the sensation of the breeze against her flesh.
Finally she would proceed forward, letting her boots hit against the walkway as she headed toward one of the larger trees that lined the area, content to just, rest in the shade for at least a good hour.
Though the likely hood of that happening were slim to none. Already she got that feeling in the back of her mind that said something was gonna happen. She just didn't know what.
Shrugging it off, she sat down upon the grass, her head leaning back against the tree and a soft sigh passing from her lips. Take what you can get. Yep, best she could do.

"Well, well, well. Look who's back." "Hey, if it isn't our old buddy, Cain!"
The Junior let out a soft grumble, the voice ringing a bit too many bells in his head for his own comfort. He knew this guy, even before Cain turned around to look at his face. The giant of a man who was from the football team, a man who was known to be quite a bully for the freshmen and sophomores. He had the size, he had the strength and some could say he had the speed. And more than once, when Cain was the school captain, he fought with the man and of course, emerged victorious, for what Cain lacked in strength, he made up for it with speed and wits. Cain would slowly turn around, his right hand reaching for the back of his head as he scratched it lightly, hiding the Sabre Ring from view.
"Oh, hey, Brent. Long time no see."
Obviously, Cain's greeting with a smile was not the kind of reaction the larger male and his three companions wanted, as one of them let out a soft snarl, baring his teeth and a clenched fist at Cain. Yeah, he remembered these guys. He used to punish them a lot while he still carried the badge. Of course, it was not that hard to see what they were trying to do here. Before, Cain had the authority and the power. He was able to bring them down, and individually too. Now, Cain was back from a long absence that had caused him to be relieved of his duty, and he was pretty much just another student in the hallways.
They wanted revenge. And they were gonna get it together.
How naive.
Brent, Brian, Kevin and Adam. Yeah, he knew these guys.
"Don't get so cocky, Cain. You're not the School Captain anymore. You don't have any more power over us." "Yeah, and with the four of us here, there's no way you can beat us down this time. Plus, we've been training while you were gone. We're a whole lot better than befo-"
He never got to finish his sentence. Cain was already on him, the quick bugger sending himself soaring straight up, knee-first into his stomach, causing him to double over. Such a common thing. However, that was not all that was going to happen, no. There would be a soft sound of an explosion, and before the three others knew it, Kevin was suddenly blown off his feet and backwards, his body denting into a set of lockers.
"Really? So have I."
And Cain would turn on his heels, meeting Brent just as he too turned around, his right fist raised and poised to strike at Cain's face. Cain would snap his right hand forward, something he would usually never, directing his fist to meet Brent's. And just as the two would contact, that muffled sound would once more emerge, and Brent would find his arm being blown backwards, away from Cain, surprising him. Cain would only chuckle, before stepping forward, pulling that right fist back and throwing it onto the center of Brent's body, blowing him back with more force than anyone would ever expect such a smaller person to be capable of.
And his body would soar through the school gates, Cain walking after, Brian and Adam unable to move, utterly shocked at Cain's display of power. They could only wonder what the force that they felt everytime Cain attacked was. And just as Cain walked into the courtyard, he caught sight of a woman sitting under a nearby tree. He stood there for a moment, eyebrows raised in surprise. And then, his lips finally curled into a grin.
"... Hey, Kevala."

Kevala sat there, her eyes opening at the sounds of a little tiff between some student, a sigh passing her lips. Yet before she could get up to see what was going on, she noted the fight was pretty much over. If it had been a fight at all.
Then, just like that an all too familiar face appeared. His face showing he was trying to figure out who she was before recognition finally came into his eyes. Her name spoken she would let her lips turn into a grin as she nodded her head politely in his direction.
"Cain.."
She knew him well, seeing as how she had gained the title from him, however that may have been. Reaching up and brushing her hair back she would cast her eyes toward the sky, still hidden behind her shades, and let forth a whistful little sigh.
"Nice day don't you think......"
Oh she had that part of her that longed to fight the guy just for the simple fact she wanted to know if she could beat him, or at least stand a chance. A little brush over tongue to her lips as her mind entertained the thought, yet no words of such spoken. Instead she fell silent, simply waiting on his reply as she stretched her legs out and crossed them at the ankles. Her small hands coming to rest in her lap.

"Nice day don't you think......"
Cain took a few steps towards her, placing his hands back inside his pocket, knowing that the four from earlier would not be as troublesome anymore. He had taken down Brent with brute power, something that Cain was never really known off. Truth be told, he still lacked power, but to make up for it, Cain developed for himself another skill. Something that certainly went well with his fighting style. He would let his eyes look at hers for a moment, before trailing away into the sky. Yeah, it was indeed a nice weather. He nodded his head, a soft grunt accompanying the gesture.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?"
Almost half a year, to be exact. Cain would flash a soft smile, turning his attention back to the reigning School Captain, the woman who was his, if it was the right word to use, successor. He had been challenged once by her, but the fight ended so awkwardly that it was hard to tell who the winner was. Cain had then simply kept the title for his own. Until, of course, he was taken away by those darn bastards. And while he was gone, his title was, of course, relieved and taken away, passed down then to her, as she was the latest and closest challenger.
"So, how's the school been?"
Cain turned on his heels to fully face her then, bringing himself down to her level as he squat, that smile still on his face. He knew how troublesome this school could be. True, it wasn't as bad as #552, but it still had its shares of trouble and thus, troublemakers. And he still remembered the time when a few men in suits had come in and caused a little bit of trouble. And Cain had been forced to play everything through, alongside a few other students. Blood had been shed that day.

Even though she remained in her relaxed position she made sure to keep her eyes on him from behind those shades. She was not a very trusting person and it just irked her to no end. But she could not change who she was.
As he drew closer she shifted her head slightly so that she could fully face him, her hands resting in her lap.
"It has been awhile. I assume you know by now that I arranged for Zen to attend school at home until the babies are born. It seems that she was being targeted for her relation to you. I felt it was the least I could do for the former Captain."
She did not bother to ask where he had been for she honestly did not care. It was none of her business and though she had felt for the girl, it had been simply the fact she to had been left during such a hard and stressful time.
As he squated down before her she would brush her tongue over her lips, sitting up forward just slightly now as she placed her elbows on her knees.
"The school as is it always has been and as it undoubtedly always will be. There are those who wish to rise against the structure and the power that roams the halls, those who fight just to fight, and those who fight for something with much more meaning. Of course there is the matter of those disappearing, but none of us have been able to figure out what is going on."
She shrugged softly, a little sigh passing her lips as she reached up and brushed her fingers through her hair.
"It is nice to have you back though. Could use some men around here with some actual backbone."

"It has been awhile. I assume you know by now that I arranged for Zen to attend school at home until the babies are born. It seems that she was being targeted for her relation to you. I felt it was the least I could do for the former Captain."
Cain looked towards her with a look of gratitude, that smile on his face going a lot more hospital, if it wasn't enough already. He really owed her one, picking up his mess like that. It had been worrying Cain too, how the school would be when he was gone. Despite knowing how capable some people were in terms of the protection of the school from that time, he was still worried. He was the School Captain, after all. Well, not anymore, but you get the point.
Zen had told him about that too, about how Kevala had sent her to be home-tutored. By who, Cain was unaware of yet. He could only help it was not Mr. Durand himself. That guy could take advantage of the opportunity, knowing him. Cain chuckled at that thought, giving Kevala a nod of his head.
"Yeah, I've heard. Thanks so much, though I don't see how I deserved it still. I owe you, then."
"The school as is it always has been and as it undoubtedly always will be. There are those who wish to rise against the structure and the power that roams the halls, those who fight just to fight, and those who fight for something with much more meaning. Of course there is the matter of those disappearing, but none of us have been able to figure out what is going on."
Cain nodded his head at the first few observations. Yeah, Cain had his share of ambitious troublemakers. One name that came to mind was Alex. That guy had taken both him and Kale down, but Cain did not give him the title anyway. If Cain's information was not wrong, it seemed that the same guy had achieved the title anyway. And as for the last part, about people disappearing... Cain raised his right hand, scratching the back of his head, a habit that he had developed to demonstrate awkwardness. He chuckled.
"Uhm... Yeah. Haha. Backbone, huh? Well, not sure about that, but like I said, I owe you one. I'll try to help you out a bit, I guess."
He smiled. However, the smile then shifted a bit. Into something more feral, in a way. Something ambitious.
"Still, I wanna know first, how capable you have become as a School Captain. If you get my drift."

Kevala caught that grin and smirk and she would return it with one of her own matching in nature. Just before her hands hit the ground and pushed her weight forward enough to extend her right foot and slam it into his chest. Hopefully sending him back and giving her enough room to hop up to her feet.
"How could I refuse?"
She had always liked Cain and there was no reason for her to change that opinion. He was a good guy all around and though she was unsure on why he left his pregnant girlfriend alone for so long to the wolves, she bet he had a good reason. He never struck her as the type to do something so lowly......And Kev was generally a decent reader of people when it did not come to relationships with herself.
Spreading her feet she would prepare herself to most likely get her butt whooped. But it would be fun. Kev loved a good challenge every now and then.
Shifting her head from side to side she kept those eyes locked on him. She knew how good he was......Yeah, she was not about to underestimate him.....but then she never underestimated anyone.

Cain caught the grin and knew that the message had been received quite perfectly. With a chuckle, Cain placed his hands on his knees, getting ready to push himself up. However, just as he was about to straighten his legs, he would notice himself staring right at Kevala's foot as it came onto his chest, and before he knew it, she pushed her back, causing him to roll backwards onto his back. And as the push did not have much momentum on it, Cain was merely lying on his back, unable to roll all the way back up onto his feet. He chuckled, looking up as Kevala made space for herself. Her comment only served to widen Cain's grin, as the Junior rolled onto his stomach, before pushing himself back up on his feet.
And at the very moment when he was standing up straight, he would reply.
"Then let's get started."
That was all the warning he gave, as the quick-footed Junior would make a dash towards Kevala, not letting up at all, knowing that Kevala was more than experienced enough to handle Cain even when he went all out. The Junior would scale the distance in considerable time, his right fist coming up to his shoulder as he primed it to strike. And just at that moment, when he was at distance, Cain would swing that right arm out and suddenly curve it in, causing it to drive past in between himself and Kevala, forcing his body into a quick spin to his left.
His right knee would come up, as Cain forced his body at Kevala, his right arm leading the way and protecting his neck, his left arm placed across his mid-torso, the raised knee aimed to strike at Kevala's lower torso.
