Theme: Corner of Memories Aaron had to admit, Thierry had come a long way since their high school days heck, even the days of when the five of them had founded Victory Heights College. Aaron walked through the doors of the entrance, as he found his office, located in the gymnasium itself. At least it hadn't been hard to find. Taking in the nameplate on the front of the door, it felt just like old times again. Working at the school Thierry was the headmaster of was not as big of a difference as he thought it would be, seeing as back at Victory Heights, all five of them had equal power among each other, the title Aaron had as the Dean, was just a title, nothing else. Fishing the key out of his pocket, he slid it into the lock and turned it, as the door opened with a click. Flicking on the lights, the office was bare as bare could be, except for the minimal furniture needed, consisting of a desk, two chairs, one being a comfy swivel chair for him, bookshelf, and filing cabinet, there wasn't much else to the room. Walking up to his desk, he whistled impressively as he ran his hand over the smooth finish of the wood, old friends or not, Thierry hadn't gone cheap on the furniture provided, as eccentric as his best friend was, especially to those who didn't know him well, he was a good guy. It was going to be interesting to see him again after being apart for a year. Setting the cardboard box he had been carrying under his arm down on the floor, he opened it and began to unpack his stuff, his desk barely hiding his tall frame as he dug into the box, the first thing he pulled out was a portable radio, as he popped in fresh, new batteries and turned it on, searching for a good music station, before placing it on top of his desk. He then went back to unpacking, opening drawers and putting things away, as he hummed softly while happily blasting the music on his radio away.

Sure, Vanessa didn't really have a class for a few more hours, but she was here early for a specific reason. Word had reached her, through no help of Thierry, that Aaron was arriving today, and though her last run in with an old friend had gone very wrong, she hoped that this time things would be significantly different. It was not that she did not get along with the other teachers here, it was just that she shared a past with both Aaron and Thierry, and what kind of friend would that make her if she did not pop by to say hello on his first day?
Pulling open the door to the gym, she reached up, hand running through her hair as she felt her sneakers squeak lightly against the floor. Her attire for today very casual Ah, gym class, what fun. Though only a few steps in she was met by the blaring sounds of music, a slight roll of her eyes given as she proceeded toward the office where the music was coming from.
As she reached the entrance she would watch as Aaron set about unpacking. Leaning up against the door frame she waited a moment longer before speaking up, loud enough to be heard over the music that filled the room.
"Honestly...Don't you think you are getting a little old for this kind of thing?"
Her perfectly polished lips forming a soft grin upon her lovely features. Lighting up her entire presence and only accentuating her natural beauty.

Aaron's head snapping up at the sound of a familiar voice, he turned to look over his shoulder as his look of surprise turned into a small smile. "Beats listening to the traffic report telling me about an accident on the highway... that I already knew about." He replied, as he straightened up and dusted his hands off before turning the radio off, as he walked over to Vanessa, folding his arms across his chest as she stood leaning up against the door frame. "I was hoping you didn't forget about me, probably no thanks to Thierry, he probably neglected to tell you on purpose." She hadn't changed a bit, even her smile looked the same, lighting up her entire presence, even after a year apart from each other, she was still the same as always.
Even though Aaron hadn't seen Thierry yet, the guy was probably eccentric as ever, something that unless one knew him well, would probably not get used to nor understand. "How have you been Van? You're looking lovely as ever." Aaron said, as he bowed to her in a teasing manner, lifting his head up to peer up at her, cracking a wise guy grin at her. After Victory Heights had shut down, Aaron had gone back to New York briefly, despite giving up his badge, he went back to his old office and caught up with his old team, before receiving the request from Thierry. Moving back to his desk, Aaron sat down in the chair, as he motioned for her to sit down. "I have to admit, as eccentric as Thierry is, this school isn't half bad."

Inwardly she twitched every time that the name Thierry left his lips. It was not that she held anything against the man. Hell despite all his eccentric ways and somewhat lazy attitude he liked to put forth, she cared deeply for him. But he had hurt her, and that was not something she handled well, at least not on the inside.
Outwardly however she was as cool and collected as ever, a grin curling onto her lips as she gave him the once over with her eyes before moving to take the seat offered.
As she crossed her legs, she would brush her fingers across his desk, letting her mind wander for a moment before turning attention back to him.
"I must say you have seemed to only grow more handsome with time."
A flash of that charming smile she so often possessed before she would continue.
"Yes, well I heard from the other staff that you had come here. So I thought I would drop by. However I do have to agree that Thierry seems to be holding things together fairly well."
She found it easier than she had thought to speak of him. Perhaps because once you closed yourself off to the world, things such as that came naturally. Whatever the reason she would simply hold that calm smile on her face as she finally leaned back into her chair those eyes still lingering upon him.
"I have missed you Aaron. It is nice to have you here."
Sure she had friends here, though they were not really worthy of such a title, seeing as how they were no better than the kids she had met growing up. They either wanted her or wanted to be like her. But they were better than nothing. Aaron though, he was a real friend, and that put her at ease, if only slightly.

Aaron couldn't help but chuckle quietly, Vanessa was still cool and collected as always, betraying nothing of her inward feelings, as he saw a grin curl upon her lips, giving him a once over as he moved to his desk and sat down in his chair, before taking the seat he had offered. As she brushed her fingers over his desk, he took the moment of silence to continue putting away his things in his desk drawers, pausing only when he heard her speak. "You are too kind my lady. I am but a humble Physical Education teacher under the authority of who is probably the most eccentric headmaster that the public high school system has ever seen." He replied, a smile slowly appearing on his face at the charming smile Vanessa was so well known for having. "The man has come a long way since our high school days, heck, even the days long since past at Victory Heights."
Leaning back in his chair, Aaron casually folded his arms across his chest, the calm smile still upon Vanessa's face as she too leaned back in her chair, her gaze still fixed on him. "I missed you too Van, a year is too long to be apart." He replied, as he smiled gently at her. After the school had shut down, the five of them had gone their separate ways, as of late, Aaron didn't know how Rain nor Danielle were doing, but he did hope they were doing well, wherever they were. "Well now, I'm in a bit of jam. He was suppose to meet me in the gym and give me a tour, but as always, he's nowhere to be found." Aaron sighed, as he finished packing away his things. "Care to help out an old friend? We can go for lunch after wards, my treat."

Vaness never let that smile fade, even as mention of Thierry continued to enter their conversation. She had expected as much. He had always been the most eccentric of the group and managed to stand out above all others. Or at least that is how it had appeared in her mind, even though she constantly gave the man hell every chance she got. He had known back then how different her views had been when nobody else was around. He just seemed to have forgotten as of late.
Yes, forgotten, because the other option, the one that said he just did not care anymore, was not something she was all too willing to accept.
This storm of thoughts raging through her mind, she still managed to laugh softly and shake her head .
"Yes, Thierry has done well I suppose. For being a crazy, nut job, pervert."
She rolled her shoulders, though the look she held insisted she was simply giving the man a hard time, despite his absence here. Then she would roll her tongue slowly across her soft lips, the lipstick she wore now glistening as he asked her for a tour and then lunch.
She supposed she could manage that.
"Thierry is....usually busy I suppose. Off causing trouble I am sure. But I will be happy to show you around. As for lunch, we just have to see how the tour goes. By the time we get done you may owe me more than lunch."
She laughed, clearly teasing once more as she pushed herself up to stand, now shifting so that her hips pressed against the edge of his desk.
"Where did you want to start?"
This was nice. Actually knowing somebody and having that somebody want to be around you.....Something she had missed in her time without her friends.

"Nice to see nothing has changed." Aaron chuckled as he saw Vanessa roll her shoulders, the look in her eyes suggesting she was just giving Thierry a hard time, though Aaron had a feeling there was more to it than just that, but he wasn't exactly sure. "Though I do wonder if he still does the revolving door of women. I swear I had to learn a new name each time I saw him." He sighed as he shook his head mockingly. "Hmm, if I didn't know any better, I'd swear we sound like we're dating." He chuckled teasingly, as he pushed his chair back before standing up, as he casually shoved his hands into his track pants pockets. "Your office." He teased, as he opened his door and bowed to her like a doorman, waiting for her to go before following out after her, as he closed and locked his door.
"It'll be nice to teach again. The days have been rather boring with nothing to do." Aaron sighed, as he headed out of the gym. "Though I do miss spending time with Dani and Rain, after Victory Heights closed down, I haven't heard from either of them in a long time. I wonder how those two are doing..." He trailed off, before the college had closed due to lack of funding, when Aaron wasn't teaching, he spent his free time with the others, just like back in high school. They had been the most mismatched bunch of friends back in high school, no one ever knew that the five of them were friends, it was like "The Breakfast Club" in real life, secretly though, as cliched at that sounded. "I can only hope Thierry has adequate funding for the school, t'would be a shame if the institute ended up in the same situation Victory Heights ended up in and closed down."

Vanessa played off the words about Thierry once more as though they were nothing, though she inwardly was growing increasingly more irritated with the topic. Especially when it came to that of the women he saw in and out of his life and a near daily basis.
"Ah, his secretaries. Never know who will be there from one week to the next. I suppose every man needs his hobbies and his toys. For some it is cars, for Thierry it is women of lesser intelligence."
Oh they very well could have been smart, but she would never see them as such. She was a bitch. Plain and simple, at least when it came to certain topics. As he commented about them dating she would roll her eyes and give a gentle shake of her head.
"Come now Aaron, you know very well I am not a sport you can lose your head in. You will always love your silly games..."
As she rose to stand she would make her way out of the office, a little grin still on her lips as she allowed him to finish speaking before she would chime in with her two cents. Finally, with her thumbs tucked into the pockets of her jeans she would slowly begin toward the exit of the gym.
Looking about the courtyard that cut across to the main building of the school she would feel a light breeze blow her blond locks into her face. A soft sigh escaping her as the cool air sent a small shiver down her spine.
"I do hope that things are different here. So far things are looking bright but one can never be too sure I suppose. If anyone can pull it off though it is Thierry."

"I suppose you're right, but let's not dive too deep into that subject, I very much doubt anyone can explain the inner workings of his mind." Aaron chuckled, even after being a year apart, he was still unfazed by Vanessa's personality, which was, in a nutshell, acting bitchy, but only when it came to certain topics. Maybe most would never get used to it, but Aaron was so comfortable with it that he easily brushed it off like it was nothing. "Oh, that hurts Van." Aaron replied, as he held one hand against his chest teasingly, right over his heart. "M'lady, you wound me." But, as always, she was right. It was his love of sports that caused them to break up in high school in the first place, more so now that he was the PE teacher, he could do what he loved, and get paid for it. Though he had very little hope that the pay was good... what with the economy taking a turn for the worse and all.
Making their way out of the gym, he walked beside her as they entered into the courtyard, his hand tucked into the pockets of the track pants he wore. "One can only hope and do what can be done to at least prevent what comes their way." Aaron lifted his head up at the clear blue sky, the edges of his jacket fluttering slightly. "I will do what I can, to at least give this institute the chance to succeed where Victory Heights failed." He said, as he lowered his head and looked at Vanessa, as a charming smile slowly appeared on his face, though not intentional. It was just something that came naturally to Aaron, whether he was trying to or not. "So what have you been doing in the past year after we parted ways?" He asked, as he casually strolled through the courtyard, heading towards the main building. "I do hope none of the male teachers are bothering you, or I may have to bother them."
