Not the way I see it...

Clearly this boy was just an immature little prick whose panties were in a bundle or whatever was the correct gender appropriate translation as his only reply was a boring stare and a slight tch of the lips. She was very seldom amused at the reactions he gave so she'd simply stand there boldly so with arms crossing her chest in defiance.

"... Tch, I'm not afraid of you, your threat, or Kevala."

Then she resisted a laugh contorting back on her hip with a brow raised, it implied that he clearly was in the dark about even his own insecurities. Wait that was probably the reason he was being blue balled by a girl stronger than him which was probably why he was so bitter to everyone and sought fit to put Jayr down like she was a porcelain toy just used to talk down to and treat like an insignificant pawn.

Despite it all she kept her mouth shut aiming not to provoke another unruly situation, only in bringing such details to light the dim witted would shoot back violently in attempts to solve their cases. Thats right she had a low opinion of Mr. Student Body President, already having hyper analysed him as more keys came to light. Arrogance above all pressing her patience as she yanked the book swiftly from the boy's hands before turning back to her desk.

"This should have a decent amount of information on the Kamakura Shogunate. If you need me, I'll be looking for more research material we can use."

Twas all she could think as she turned tail returning back to her original seating flipping through the pages quickly realizing she had no idea what Asian culture was like beyond Pre-Modern Chinese Communism. Her teaches had always placed an intense focus on European affairs why she'd been stuck with the boy with an inkling towards Asian affairs was beyond her.

Then he took off leaving the library, good. She wouldn't need to stress about him jumping her she could work in peace. Flipping past the pages Jayr became lost in the books writing her piece on the matter.

Unfazed by the bold look on Jayr's face, her arms crossed in defiance, Alex let out a low "tch" as he saw her raise a brow, while it was true Kevala was much stronger than he was, he was not the only one she was stronger than, she was stronger than Jack and Guy. And he found no point in fighting against Kevala, he had nothing to gain from defying her, except for maybe a one-way ticket to the infirmary. At least the both of them were on the same page, the only thing that would come out of it for him was a headache. First impressions, not exactly the easiest to revise, especially a bad one. The book yanked from his hand, Alex headed in the opposite direction as the librarian watched him leave, before stepping out from behind the desk and walked over to Jayr, gently touching her shoulder as to not frighten her. "Do you need any help young lady? I see you're researching on the Kamakura Shogunate. Unfortunately, the books you have with you currently do not have that much information, however, there is one book that has a lot of information on it... but it was recently checked out... by that boy that just left. That book is your best bet if you want any decent amount of information."

The librarian then went back to the front desk to help some students lined up to take out books, as another student walked in while looking behind him. "That was Kazuya just now. But why is he heading towards the rooftop entrance? First period isn't over yet." He said to no one in particular, as he headed over to his friends, who were sitting at the table beside Jayr's. Peering down at the book in his hand, he began to read it thoroughly, even though he had been born in Japan, it didn't necessarily mean he knew everything about it, his knowledge of ancient Japan was enough that he wouldn't look like an idiot if asked about it, as he reached the entrance to the rooftop. Bounding up the stairs, Alex emerged up on top of the building, a light breeze made his hair flutter slightly as he stood near the edge of the building.

Don't know; Don't Care

"Do you need any help young lady? I see you're researching on the Kamakura Shogunate. Unfortunately, the books you have with you currently do not have that much information, however, there is one book that has a lot of information on it... but it was recently checked out... by that boy that just left. That book is your best bet if you want any decent amount of information."

"It's alright I'll manage with what I have here."

Jayr simply huffed and rolled her eyes angrily in her own vexation of it all. Yeah she wasn't going to follow his ass, eventually he'd finish up and bring it back or if he really didn't want to deal with her he'd finish up both their parts. Sure she felt guilty not putting forward her part on her own but it was better than being excluded and alone with him.

"That was Kazuya just now. But why is he heading towards the rooftop entrance? First period isn't over yet."

"He's probably off relieving a bit of tension." Jayr would say with a quick snicker before unfolding the book finding enough information to BS a bit of her portion should she need to verbalize her portion. Sh was good at that much.

Don't bet on it. Not only was Alex going to use it for the assignment, he planned on keeping it AFTER the assignment was finished, if they ever managed to get that far. He could just do the entire assignment on his own, and truthfully, he was contemplating doing just that, seeing as neither of them could work with each other, and not very well at that. He could care less if she hated him for the rest of her life, he wasn't going to get down on his knees and beg for forgiveness. "Huh? Seriously Kai?" One of the guys said, as Kai, whose full first name was Kaito, nodded and sat down. "But I thought he only goes there during break." Kai was about to speak, but stopped when the girl at the table beside them injected her thoughts. "Are you serious? You're an idiot." He said to her, as the other guys snickered. "Hey, I recognize her, she's a member of the cheer squad. You weren't that far off Kai." One of the other guys said, as the others continued snickering.

"Heh heh, she's in my History class too. Hey Jayr, I heard the teacher say after you and Kazu left, that she's not going to take any BS on the assignment." Kai snickered, as the guy backhanded his head. "Idiot, why are you talking about History class?" Kai held the back of his head in pain, as the guy smirked slightly. "That librarian just went on break, and no one else but us are around. Get it now?" The guy then stood up and moved over to Jayr, as the other guys surrounded her, making it appear like they were congregating around her like friends, when obviously, they weren't, none of them were afraid of what Kazuya or Kevala could possibly do, unknowingly driving her towards the exit of the library, as Kai, stunned at what the guys planned to do, yanked his cellphone out and sent a panicked text message to Alex. If she ran into the hallway, two of the guys would block her way, she could only go one way... towards the roof, whether she wanted to or not.

(OOC: I'm sorry? Not exactly the greatest situation I can come up with,if I had any other ideas, I would've gone with ANYTHING but this)

Not the princess of the fairy tales...

"Are you serious? You're an idiot."

Jayr would giggle innocently in return, no she straight up dismissed idiots without anything to back themselves up. These people were evidently put off by her insulting Alex meaning that they had allegiance to him meaning anything they did would tie back to him as a result regardless of what ended as a result.

"Well thats all fine and dandy but you two look like a bunch of bi curious butt buddies. Cute..." She'd smile without much a care turning back to her work.

"Hey, I recognize her, she's a member of the cheer squad. You weren't that far off Kai."

And now evidently Cheer squad meant bimbo idiot in the regency books of entire knowledge. Which would fluster her a bit feeling as though she could turn about and bitch slap them.

"Thanks for the input...." She'd say rolling her eyes planning on ignoring them as well.

"That librarian just went on break, and no one else but us are around. Get it now?"

As far as she could tell the boys were moving to pull off another rape scene. The originality of this place was beginning to get gratuitous, people should stop underestimating her. Taping her pen on the table impatiently not planning on running, she wasn't helpless despite her gender and outlook on life she could entirely defend herself. Waiting as they approached closer, three as far as she could tall. Surrounding her from all possible exits would mean there'd be one to her right and left and another at her back. Closely approaching before she reacted.

Sitting up quickly she'd kick at the base of her chair launching the chair back into the middle man's shin which would knock him aback if only for a second. The book she'd grip at it's edge twisting it around to crack the guy to her right's nose spilling a good share of blood and she'd plant her left heel into the remainder's crotch. With her back now on the table she'd push off applying thrust into the man's crotch and sliding her onto the other side of the table and into the other chair.

Not exactly. None of them, not even Kai, were friends with Alex, much less hold any allegiance to him. "Hahaha, you got told." One of the guys snickered, as the other guy growled in annoyance, seeing Jayr smile without a care ticking him off even more, he was really going to get a kick out of what he planned to do. The only reason they objected to what Jayr said in the first place was because they got a kick out of her reaction from Kai's comment. "Yeah, you should be thanking Kai, the teacher isn't going to take any crap, from what you said, right Kai?" The guy snickered, as Kai nodded, before being back-handed, as he watched in stunned silence as the other guys began to gang up on Jayr, blocking any possible escape route except out the library exit, and even so, two of the guys in the group were already stationed in the hallway. Yanking out his cellphone, Kai began typing out a panicked text. Alex felt a rumble in his pocket, as he pulled out his cellphone, and saw he had a message from his classmate, Kaito.

Kazu! Don't blame me for what happens!

What the hell are you talking about?

Smirking slightly, the three guys closed in on Jayr, as the "leader" saw her tapping her pen impatiently before sitting up quickly and launching her chair into his shin, knocking him backwards as he held his shins while hopping around in pain, as the other two stared before the guy on the right felt his nose being cracked by the book, sending blood down his face and onto his shirt as he fell to the floor, leaving the guy on the left standing, though not for long, critical hit to the nads! Crumpling to the floor in pain after Jayr pushed off from him, the "leader" rose up, a look of fury on his face. "Damn it, forget this! Get her!" The one guy with the broken nose rose up, as blood ran down his face, as the two of them charged at her, leaving the one with the critical to the nads writhing in pain on the floor. Furious, they aimed to drive her out of the library, joined by the guy that got kicked, though he moved much slower, and take her down, not really caring much for anything else anymore, as the two guys outside blocked the way out of the school.

Not a rat in a maze

"Damn it, forget this! Get her!"

She watched closely from the chair across her original spot, trained to kep calm under situations like this where she'd contend with multiple fighters she was by no means out of her element and didn't have it in her to run. Call it a sense of pride or stubbornness but that was Jayr. Pursed lips showed her irritation as they came at her again, one down, another injured to a point where successful strikes would leave him next and the other undoubtedly slowed by a limp, this would be no trouble at all.

"Best call some back up boys unless you want to be embarrassed." She'd smile with a slight giggle leaning back in her chair so it'd tip over with her in it.

Rolling out the other side her heel would meet the top of the chair's back and bring it up into her hands like a lion tamer. The one with the bloody nose no doubt arriving first seeing as the other would be suffering from a limp. Jayr would bring the chair down on his head releasing it to attain the most force into the strike.

The other boy with the limp would no doubt come second, seeing as now she had a vast speed difference from him it gave her every advantage to just run away. Though she'd call it more of a tactical retreat backing up before jumping atop the librarian's desk and sliding over the edge putting a barrier between the two before she grabbed a heavy paper weight and waited till he was close.

*thwack!*

She'd chuck it right at the center of his face, the paperweight weight about five pounds would give him a bit of a headache and slight pain but no minor damage unless it hit his nose or jabbed an eye.

Growling angrily at the girl's comment, the "leader" sent the two other guys after her, despite the fact one had a broken nose and was dripping blood everywhere, while the other was limping slightly from cracked nads. "I don't need back up to make you wish you never crossed us." He growled, as the guy with the broken nose charged at her, slightly ahead of the other guy, as he saw her lean back in her chair, tipping it over with her, before rolling to the other side, her heel meeting with the top of the chair as she brought it up in her hands like a lion tamer, before he knew it, he felt the weight of the chair come crashing down on his head, as he dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes. "What the...!?" The guy with the limp gasped out, as he saw the girl vault over the librarian's desk, putting a barrier between the two of them. "You're gonna pay for that! No one hurts my buddy like that!" While the guy charged at her, the "leader" took the chance to sneak up behind her, he was going to get her, and get her good. She was going to wish she never took them on.

The guy limping towards her as fast as he possibly could, he vaulted over the librarian's desk easily with one hand, despite his handicap, only to have a paperweight fly right at his face. "Gah!" He exclaimed, as he felt the paperweight collide with the side of his head, as he crouched down and held the side of his head in pain. Without a moments hesitation, the "leader" threw a rapid punch at at her face... only to be stopped right in his tracks. "What the...!?" He exclaimed, his fist caught by someone, as he growled angrily and lifted his head up in fury... only to be met with the piercing glare of Alex himself. "You... Don't you get in my way!" He screamed, as he launched a punch at Alex's face... only to find his other hand caught by Alex's left hand as well. Sending a knee to the guy's gut, Alex would then flip the guy over his shoulder, sending him tumbling to the ground like a sack of potatoes. "..." The librarian then came back from her break, only to stop right in her tracks at the sight of three unconscious guys on the floor. "What just happened here!?" She demanded, as she looked back at forth between Alex and Jayr.

"This was all my doing, she had nothing to do with this." Alex said simply, as the librarian looked at him. "Then either you leave the school or be prepared to face the consequences." Glancing briefly at Jayr, he would toss the book he had taken out at her before leaving the library without a single word, as he walked past two guys lying unconscious on the floor, the two guys that had been stationed outside in the hallway, as he walked down the hallway. If she opened the book, she would find the completed assignment, as well as a note.

I know nothing I say or do will change the fact that I hurt you to such a deep degree that I will never be able to comprehend. I don't expect you to forgive me for what I did to you, not now, and maybe not ever. This probably won't change anything, except maybe prove that I'm a complete prick who can't even apologize to you in person. I don't mean to talk down to you like you're the beautiful princess that needs saving, 'cause I'm pretty sure you can handle yourself just fine. Heh, I ain't good at this kind of stuff, so I'll shut up now, before I start rambling.

Stitches

Jayr anticipated she could dodge the blow to her face, not that the boy was all too skilled by any means though it seemed as though Alex was pulling his hero's role again doing anything but impressing her this time around as she simply cocked her head back and made a disappointed face watching him deal the third party.

Not long until the Librarian showed up behind them throwing something of a fit in anguish. Again Alex had to pull the same hero role which would further piss her off. What was it about chauvinistic men that didn't get the fact that she could handle herself. Then he'd toss the book at her, literally. Hands springing towards her face in a defensive reflex motion as she'd snatch it from the sky by the time she'd looked back he was gone. Flipping through the pages she found the assignment and note within.

Blushing at the comment of beautiful she'd turn away and out of the library taking her own route home. It was cute try but he wasn't getting off that easily.
