It had been about a week since the newsletter had come out, and she had yet to get in touch with Guy. Why? Because she didnt want to kill the little fucker and she knew that if she got close to him at the time she probably would.
Now though, she was more than ready to "talk" to him, since things as of late had come to her attention and her views were beginning to shift, if only just a bit at the moment.
Letting out a soft sigh, she sent her little lacky to go and find him, making sure to point out that he may very well NOT be in the building but hiding outside somewhere......
Either way, the guy she sent was like a little puppy dog, begging to please, and would not stop til he found Guy.....Orrr Kev would have to find him herself.......Though she hoped the "I promise not to kill you" message would get him to surface......
Leaning back against the wall in the now vacant hallway, she waited, her knees bent up as she seated herself there, resting comfortably and looking up at the ceiling....She was tired...Not physically, but mentally and emotionally.
Things in her life had led to this, people she now knew....it was all a weight she felt, trying to suck her in and suffocate her.....Not the thing which she was comfortable with......As a result, she was changing, evolving....her mentality finding a way to help her breath once more.........
And part of that method involved the one she now waited on......
If she was going to survive in this place....she had to figure out how to breath.....or die trying........

Oh yeah he got the message, though after about twenty of minutes f trying to claw his way free of the lacky and force his way through the nearest open window Guy had been thoroughly exhausted and dragged by the waist by said lacky who'd been sent to collect him. This surely wasn't a good thing but he'd be damned if that dampen his great day. So far he'd gotten about a paragraph in on next months paper of course he was still lacking on the photos but he planned on getting those soon enough. In a stealthy fashion he hid away a camera down his front drawers. She'd have to search him for it.....Thoroughly.
"Kevala I've brought him, luckily he's light as a twig."
Guy froze, his frame sidled against the ground all limbs pressed to the floor ready to retreat yet frozen by fear. No I will not kill you letter would trick him.
"Yelp..." The boy tried crawling away, even if it was at a snails pace it was in the right direction.... the exit!

As Guy was dropped at her feet, she raised her brow, grinning softly as she reached out and took a firm hold on his ankle, not letting him crawl away to the exit like he was trying to do.
"Where do you think you are going?"
She laughed softly, tugging him back into position and then holding him there as she shook her head and leaned back against the wall.
"I need to talk to you. I need your help."
She was speaking somewhat softly, her mind focused on the things that were holding her down in life...yet still she was unsure...unclear.....She needed him to do something for her, to help her learn if maybe she was overreacting........
That was of course if she could get the little bugger to sit the hell still long enough to listen.
Finally she released him, figuring that if he continued to run er....crawl....away then she would be able to catch him without much effort......

"Where do you think you are going?"
Guy fled still edging his way slowly across the floor before she'd grappled a stranglehold at the base of his heel. Fear set in on his eyes as the mental imagery of all those b-rated horror movies that Astrid had showed him were coming into true realization. Hands clawing for freedom as Kevala went from being the beautiful siren from species to the gorgon faced monster with snakes coming out of her head, those tentacles latching leeching the strength from his legs he just wanted to yelp until.
"I need to talk to you. I need your help."
?
He froze his fleeing stopping like the kids would look on the shoots and ladders game only more grounded. His head cocking back over his head to look at her sizing up the small girl's body. Weird she released even. The power of the Gorgan monster slipping away.
Guy pulled his legs back sitting upright in crossed leg position his eyes lingering on her trying to keep at attention. But he was far enough away so he could bolt if a beating was to be sensed.
"Alright.... What d'you need?" Guy said in a calm induced voice focused and ready to answer.

Kev watched as he sat up, her eyes meeting his own as she placed her arms over her knees and sighed once more. A little brush of her tongue to her lips and her eyes would cast upward to the ceiling once more......
"Do you notice any......weakness within the pillarship Guy?"
She spoke softly, an honest inquiry as she sighed softly. With a little glance cast to him, she would grin very softly, almost a smile, though her current mood would not let her be happy.......Not quite
"I have.....Though I am still unclear on some issues...That is where you come in. You may be a little ass sometimes.....And I SHOULD kill you over the last newsletter.....But...I believe that you are one of the few people that can help me with what I need done..."
She waited, seeing if he indeed saw what she did, or if perhaps she was just imagining stuff.

"Do you notice any......weakness within the pillarship Guy?"
The question caught him off guard. From years on the street he'd been taught to keep his mouth shut, whenever there was trouble about it was keep your head low and don't tell anyone you saw anything. But to be quite honest the student body while strong in power was evidently a fascist regime. Clearly insecure about their positions as they should be, the student body while small was strong in their own right, a very capable body of contingent humans.
Guy stayed silent though, worry fretted on his features fearful that Kevala would be the first to pounce upon him for seeing the weaknesses, should he tell a more capable person to undermine the body rather than him.
Then her next bit seemed downtrodden, as though it was weighing her down as well. Things out of her control perhaps, but not out of her power to alter.
"Well," Guy started a bit shy for the first time as he thought over the weight of this. "Your Pillars are two dimensional.... Their only strengths are dominated by what they assume is their duty, they fail to think outside of an order that is given. You tell them to Run, they run till their hearts expire and they're too weak to fend for themselves, you tell them to jump they show off that they can out jump one another like dogs in a kennel fighting for scraps."
His head ducked down sure the beating was near. Though he was accustomed to it by now.

She listened intently to his words, nodding as he finished and letting them echo through her mind as she thought them through....
"Is it in them to change?"
Never really letting her eyes fall down to his, instead holding her gaze to the ceiling.....She was too lost in her own thoughts, too weighted down by the stress her life had taken on.
She was never one to sit still for long, but the actions of those around her as of late had dictated that she do that. That she remain in one place.......a stagnant force that must remain that way in order to curb their vicious tides.......
It was something she could not stand for......She would not.....
"I am not sure.....That is why I need you....And you ability for pushing all the wrong buttons..."
She was not going to lie, it was not a trait that she found to be bad...It was a gift to see those flaws in people and exploit them until they broke....She worked hard to do it, where as Guy made it seem so effortless.....

"Is it in them to change?"
"Well not if they can't pull their heads out their own asses."
Guy's hands darted for his mouth covering it forcefully to restrain a smile and a short laugh, hopefully he wasn't offending her by picking on her most loyal cohorts. And he said cohorts specifically because of their goonish ways.
"I am not sure.....That is why I need you....And you ability for pushing all the wrong buttons..."
A wide eyed smile as he wasn't sure whether to take that as a compliment or an insult however judging on her "needing him" and the fact that if he pressed the matter she'd easily sit up and squash him he'd settle for the prior.
"Well what do you need me to do?" Guy would suggest innocently raising his hands, cause quite honestly the way he went about things was just him, he'd point out the obvious short falls of people as well as the obvious strengths. He knew he wasn't perfect but he wasn't a personal person. Every insult he would learn from and correct, essentially humbling himself.

She grinned at the laugh he tried to muffle, finally allowing her eyes to shift down to him as she lowered her knees to allow her to lean in towards him.
"I need you to do what you do best. Push them....Lets see how far the big and bad can go with their buttons being pushed to the limit."
She offered up that sinister little grin. The last paper had been focused on her and Ms. V for the most part....At least that is all the other students had seen......
This time, she was hoping to have the stories shifted in a bit of a different direction.
"I am not asking for lies....That would just be wrong...I am asking for that thing you are so good at delivering..The cold hard truth that SOME people just dont want to hear...."
She nodded, leaning back then and once more resuming her relaxed position against the wall.
"Though feel free if you wish to push them however you see fit....I am trusting you with this..."
She was, and though it was rare for her to trust anyone, she was giving him this job because she felt he could handle it. Besides, if he proved her wrong she could just squish him.....But honestly she would hate to have to do that.

Guy smiled back as she did the same. It wasn't just a game to her, she really did care in a sick way. Something he grinned back at stupidly. She was testing them all to a degree and he could imagine she'd be testing him too very soon for that matter. And the matter on the cold hard truth, yes that was a good reasoning but then again it didn't mean his "bust" would be minusing on the bust, however he'd add a little extra for her sake.
"Though feel free if you wish to push them however you see fit....I am trusting you with this..."
And then it struck him. Harshly even so as she said it. She was trusting him. That held its own burden, a weight he could not crawl his way from under as his mouth gaped open showing perhaps a rude sign of surprise.
"I won't fail."
He felt himself saying again, something in him made Guy need to search for a way to be respected by her. The first girl who'd kicked his ass, and now something of a mentor as he looked to her for a sign of respect. He'd not drop the ball this month would be something greater.
"Thank you...." His lips found themselves moving with his speech. Yes she had earned that.

She raised her brow as he thanked her, her eyes once more dropping to his as she shook her head.
"There is no need to thank me. You have a gift, an ability that those larger than you lack...For this they chose to single you out and run you into the ground....."
Once more she leaned up, her arms wrapping about her knees as she rested her chin there upon the crook created.....
"I see more than what lies upon the surface. Something others lack the ability to do. They see what is before them and nothing more....You have it in you to be something great....You simply have to discover that for yourself."
This time she offered a honest, kind smile...Nothing dark hidden in the turn of her lips, no fire burning in her eyes....It was the closest to normal she had been in a very long time, and though nobody really knew that, she did.....
"If you need anything, let me know...Do not be afraid to speak with me on any matter."
She was one of the ones that was always taken at face value, so naturally people either made fun of her size or feared her.....There was never a middle ground....
