...Of Course

Like any normal growing teen Jayr was forced into getting a job. Sure it was only natural her rich father supported her by buying the sickest sweet sixteen gift anyone could ever want which was of all things the Yellow Camero she'd seen both on the lot and in several movies and she would never live without it. But of course being the responsible parents that they were Jayr was commended to get a job and it went something a bit like this:

"Jayr, you know... Car payments are a lot."

"I know and thats why I love you daddy." The placating grin stretching across her face as she kissed her step-father on the cheek prancing off to her room without much a care in the world before mother dearest was seen towering over her pacing Jayr out with a scared look on her face.

"You're getting a job so you can gain character and you'll like that just as much as you love Alexi."

The horrid nod of an entirely lost composure and Jayr turned around with a bit of a pout starting. Of course she'd never worked a day in her life let alone allow herself to be demeaned to manual labor the entire thing seemed a bit base to her. Fretting solved nothing though and early Saturday Morning she was booted from her house and pointed in the direction of the Town center.

"Hi I'd like to apply to be a manager," Jayr said with her eye lashes batting away furiously towards the manager of The Neighborhood Cup.

His eyes looking down at the precariously low rimmed shirt she'd been wearing (on purpose) and then back to his clip board. Once more he'd perform this motion before looking her in the face and bitting his lip narrowly as if he was squeezed into a hard place.

"You see, I can't go making you manager, you have absolutely no work experience."

"But please? I really need this job, I love Coffee."

The manager sat there with a look of both disbelief and utter dumbfounded acknowledgment. His hand coming up to grasp the pen biting at the end of it showing his serene focus of self control not trying to do something that could get her to take his position.

"What is it about coffee you love?"

With a ditsy smile and glance in return Jayr licked her lips slowly exaggerating the motion to a sense before speaking, "I just love it... The tase, the heat flowing off my lips as it burns my throat."

Jayr stopped suddenly to notice the Manager's glasses had fogged up and he was hanging off of her every word. Creepy....

"S'cuz me?" She'd say breaking his focus.

"Well I don't have a manager position open but we do have space for a server."

"Ew.." She'd say bluntly.

such a blunder at the original juncture of course now sentenced to a servitude of cleaning tables and subjugating herself to she could view as a hard earned pay. Dressed in black slacks that buckled around the ankles and a tight black v-neck shirt. Of course black wouldn't have been bad if it weren't for the apparel over that. Atop her black shirt Jayr was forced into wearing the brown vest that killed the entire outfit ruining her completely. It seemed as if the rules of this place gartered her to a life she was unsuited to live. But all rules were meant to be broken, and of course brown wasn't a bad color it just had to be manicured for the right attire.

Slipping away into the back room which was better known for random tea bags and miscellaneous supplies of all kinds. From the hidden room all assortments of snipping could be heard.

*Ta-da*

She emerged with a wry grin and an exposed stomach, she'd turned the required attire for the work place into an outfit seen on runways. The stares from eagerly awaiting customers was all the appreciation she needed just short of a wave of applause.

"S'cuz me, what d'you think you're doing?"

Mr. Manager with the fogged up glasses emerged from the back room to start picking fun at her for something or another. But she could already tell he was sporting a bit of something that prevented his anguish from sky rocketing, a little part of the male anatomy that gave her a distinct advantage over logic.

"Attracting new customers.." Jayr replied with a coaxing smile, her frame teetering unto a single heel as her outward leg opened up. With her hand ascending to the back of her head a lock of hair and would evidently proceed to twirling it around a single finger. Lips pursed as her attention focused on the window, her other free hand coming to her lips to blow a kiss towards the boys outside looking in with hungry glances. Yup she loved her crowd.

"Can I get a raise?"

"Can I get a Handjob...... yeah hand?"

With that Mr. Manager paced off in his fog bumping into the edge of the counter before peeling himself around with an outstretched arm proclaiming he was "ok" like she cared, it was evident that she was pissed off at being ignored and not given what she wanted. Pursing her lips she stood there tapping her foot, hands on her hips, Jayr always got what she wanted. That meant things had to come to a harsh realization. This manager was going down even if that meant she'd be putting her job and possibly life at risk, it was a challenge.

"Muwahahhaa.." A small little giggle of evil laughter as she lurked off to the back room once more for the ideal form of weapon.

All Quiet on the Western Front

Or so things would seem as the hasty battle of dominion over the coffee stand began to emerge, growing slowly and slowly as it did so Jayr would of course be the last to back down. While Mr. Manager had the home field to his advantage he also had a sizable list of flaws she could count on her hands and feet. For one the man's speckled eyes were barely large enough to detect his current eye color which she'd suspect was brown based on his dull sub-par personality. His hair mixed in a tizzle parting to the left and constantly shifting to the right as he'd misdirect his head shifting to look like a prairie dog sprouting for air and attention.

Lazy wasn't what she'd call it, rather being a slob in that field he had no excuse as he sported the musky pale white button-up shirt fascinating her gaze as he seemed to have managed a coffee stain on both the front lapel and the pocket protector her advertised his business on not to mention a cookie trail of crumbs that cascaded down to his undershirt and mixed in with the sprouting whiskers hanging beneath his lip.

It was odd to the point she found herself in the middle of her table cleaning she was transfixed by the monstrosity before her even to the point her hand drifted off the table to mess with the boy's junk who planted himself tactically in her way.

"Oops Sorry!"

A look of sheer pleasure on his face as he didn't shirk away from the attention given, "I'm not."

Creepy.

Giving the boy a glare and a subtle shoo she'd move off her eyes angled downward and vision overlapped by her long lashes. The casual bump and she'd look up opening her mouth to speak before noticing it was the manager. No sorries this time around.

"Were you just sexually harassing a customer?!" The jealous tone of voice bursting out with a bit of livid anxiety. His speech sounding a bit slurred like a speech impediment quickly growing irritating.

"No I just slipped..." Jayr managed to explain shrugging as she help the rag in her hand off at a distance.

"Clearly Jayr you're not taking this job seriously, if he was to report you.."

"It's not like he didn't enjoy himself..." Jayr retorted quickly in a careless manner placing a hand through her hair parting it back behind her ear hoping that that motion wouldn't get her an earful about how disrespectful she'd been.

Mr. Manager seemed to sputter out of steam as his glance teetered off pan from her face to the boy about fourteen kick his feet up on the table and settle hands behind his head nodding in his sense of victory having been achieved.

"Well I best not catch you again, you hear me.." With that the man sputtered off, his walk odd in its own way walking like you'd expect a man with a stick up his but would. Cheeks pressed together defensibly making sure his gas didn't escape to propel him further.

"Thanks alot." She'd say over her shoulder to the boy in the high chair still grinning abnormally, "You're quite welcome!" His head bobbing casually with supremacy.

Make my day!

Having had the gauntlet thrown against a perverted and over-protective manager, a freshman boy who just wouldn't seem to quite smiling to an over-exaggerated point, and a job with average pay and poor conditions clearly things were worse for wear. It made sense though to Jayr seeing as how she'd kind of asked for this in modeling her new "work cloths" if it hadn't been for that she was sure things wouldn't have clearly spiraled out of control.

Pursed lips and a shrug to dismiss the pursuit of thoughts she pressed on about her day having gone from cleaning tables to the register now as she attempted being a sparkling ball of energy but coming up short due to her shortage of coffee, and the simple torture that was having everyone around her drinking it.

"Hi, may I take your order?"

"I'll have a double cafe espresso..." One clearly jittery customer said his eyes jostling about in his smallish head.

Jayr turned to the coffee machine and got to work on his order, though she wouldn't be doing so without the rhythmic tap of his fingers on the tabletop behind her, as well as his foot tapping at the counter's edge. Pursing her lips in irritation she began to rival his beat making her own to which he caught on to and mirrored. His bloodshot eyes staring at her back something made her think that it wasn't about her physicality but rather the mistrust that she wouldn't slip something he didn't want in his drink.

"Alright, here you go sir, that'll be $4.50."

Instantaneously the jitterbug stopped his hands magnetized to the cup as he examined the lid quickly checking to make sure she hadn't breached it's contents with an unnecessary amount of air or perhaps gotten a bit too much froth that'd reduce the amounts of liquids able to be held.

*slurp*

An overtly rude gesture as he sensed for the indifference in the cup merely drawing a shocked stare by Jayr. However no one else seemed to be put off by it. Was she taking crazy pills? Or perhaps fallen asleep at the stand?

*Crash*

Behind her head by inches the cup splat against the wall spilling the hot liquid all over her back as she coudl do nothing but look on with a sheer sense of terror at the man who's face was swelling with red anger.

"I ORDERED ESPRESSO! THAT WAS DECAF! YOU DUMB BITCH DON'T YOU FUCKING KNOW THE DIFFERENCE I'LL HAVE YOU FIRED I COULD HAVE DIED DON'T YOU GET IT."

As if the signal wasn't clear enough from the man tossing the cup at her and missing probably on account of his shaking hands. Jayr was simply shocked unable to move as her mouth hung open trying to process what was going on before the manager made his way in.

"Excuse me is there a problem here?" His attention directed firmly at Jayr.

'Yeah did you not hear the crazy person?' Jayr simply thought to herself still in a state of shock like she'd never felt.

"This Go-Go girl gave me a wrong order!" The voice heavily inflamed with that repressed anguish. Clearly someone was stressed out.

"It's okay Mr. Dupree, she's new and stupid its all right you're Espresso is on the house here." The manager quickly filled a cup from the same container Jayr did and gave it to the fiery man still glaring at Jayr intensely.

*slurp*

Still glaring he grinned with the satisfaction he'd initially came in here for. "Thank you, I just hope that your business isn't put at risk because of some idiot at the register, see look she can't even apologize, bitch."

"It's alright Sir I'll speak with her."

The manager turning round to tap the desk. "He's a regular... try and get him the right stuff next time kay?"

Jayr twitched in her own fit of rage knowing clear well she was right and they all needed to just die right now because of what just happened. Clearly this was not the end of this. This meant war!

The Cookies They're Everywhere!

Time had passed much faster than she'd realized but in her easily distracted and complacent mind Jayr grew bored with the coming of mid-day, just before noon and right after morning rush there was a long and unprovoked absence of people that left her with nothing to do but hold a conversation with either the manager or Mr. Necrotic that sat in the back of the coffee lounge glaring at Jayr's skull imposing that she make herself at least look busy. Perhaps thats what set her to sleep, those imposing eyes lurking out from the dark corner of the room, the slight spectacle of shimmering when the one stream of light bounced in to hit them refracting straight into Jayr's eyes.

Her toe caught on the counter's edge and something fell with a heavy clank waking her from an eerie day dream. From the ground Jayr would rub her skull peevishly aiming to gather breath the steady compulsion to just continue laying there in a relaxed sense was all too compelling. But she could sense beady eyes at the back of her skull no doubt those of their "favorite" customer or perhaps if she was lucky enough it was the manager who couldn't see past his own heavy breathing to catch her slacking.

"Oye.... you there!"

A crinkly voice came from behind her belonging not to her manager nor the customer at the back of the room. With a slow and steady turn Jayr looked behind her coming face to face with a cookie man. His eyes spiraled with a blue dough, lips painted red by the sugar, and little gumdrop buttons that were off center. In the Cookie man's hand was a long cinnamon Stick something he looked to be using as a commanding staff as his army stood behind him. Their own sugary eyes beating down from the snack counter.

"What in the...."

"I'm only going to say this once new girl..." Those beady little eyes filled with secreted sugary hatred. "Things are going to get messy!"

"Was that a pun?"

"No stupid girl!" The cookie would lash out missing just short of her nose. "You're going to build us a boat so we can sail out of here on a river of Coffee!"

Jayr's hand went to her lips to suppress and exploding laughter but getting no such enjoyment from the cookie man who stared on with malignant intent. "You think I'm joking.... Well lets see how funny it is when...."

*plop*

Her purse in the back got a trinket of droopy white sugar on it that closely resembled semen. "NOOOOO!!!!"

Her eyes leveled with the cookie man. "Ok heres the deal, don't start that again and I'll build you your boat....Alright."

It was an order her eyes baring down on him threateningly not wanting to go so far as to smoosh him, because she would.

"Deal." The cookie man looked on with victory.

Theres no place like home

Mindless toil and labor at the hands of the candy king and his tyrannical rule, this was like some sad Disney movie all over again, the poor overworked maiden on her hands and knees working for the evil god......cookie. Yes thats right this was by some relation a Disney tale so that meant there had to of course be a happy ending. But not now of course. In the early stages of the movie Jayr, our hero, was made to slave on her hands and knees shifting from the supply room to the main entry hall, her mind devoid of much but the simplistic ideal of finishing this bloody ark for the cookie king.

"Work Sheperson!" The cookie king declared as he unraveled his licorice whip and slapped her ass with it.

"Ow!" Jayr's monstrous scowl shot in retribution of the fact tempted t bite the fiend's legs off, "This was NOT part of the deal."

"Yes well thats all fine and dandy but my boats not finish, BACK WENCH!"

Wench? Jayr cringed at the ideal of her youthful frame drifting away as she jerked back a concerned hand dropping to her features to examine and make sure there weren't any wrinkles that were present. Ha! The joke was on the cookie man who had a shelf life of about three months while she had at least.... fifteen more years. That was good right. Her pursed lips shifted downward into a depressed mope thinking too much on this whole age deal too much.

Despite it all Jayr had succeeded in completing the boat, its frame designed in a mannerism of cardboard and tape frames that held its side in near mint condition. Whatever the cookie man had in mind he'd obviously have to fire the designer once it was over with. Despite it all Jayr backed up with a towering stand her hands on her hips admiring the remarkable detail and was proud.

"ALL ABOARD!" The cookie man would call summoning forth a tide of cakes, bagels and mints. Yes and then last of all the cookie man himself leaping to the towering mast which was of course only two feet above ground but in his world he stood leader among high.

"Cast down the barriers shewoman!" He'd bellow pointing his candy cane staff up towards the milky containers. "Yes those brainiac."

Jayr would bitterly scowl again at him, too bossy for her tastes and definitely not her type. Prancing over towards the milk containers she'd tilt it over abandoning its steady flow to pounce atop the counter and avoid the spill out.

"To the North sea lad'is!" The now Scottish Cookie would demand at the containers didn't empty but the room was beginning to fill up to the brim. What was going on this wasn't reality she'd been living in. But rather a nightmare.

"You're leaving me?"

"Well honey you're a bit...Big."

Jayr pursed her lips roughly exposing the pale white features that escaped the pink flash. She was NOT being called fat by a cookie. "Kowbunga!!!!"

Jayr would leap from her spot seeing the terrified looks on the Cookies face. "Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"

The Great Flood, and the other side

The tidal wave of milk and coffee flowed over the boat, the force of which drenched and soaked the Captain Cookie man, his sinister monocle made of sugar and frosting melted away as did that cherry stemmed smile. As the last remnants of his grip floated on the surface a noticeable shake of that rounded hand rose up and flipped off Jayr, the supposed BIG girl he'd mentioned before was now rampant and victorious over the sinister cookie nation that in its greatness had doomed itself by faulty construction.

"JAYR WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!"

Her Manager stood but inches away, his gumdrop buttons poking over the counter meshed with spaghetti strapped glasses framed to his face in a moist layer of sweat. Tightly woven cloth formed his features reminiscent of that of the cookie man while at his side stared the teen boy with a righteous look on his face.

"I uhmm I can explain."

"Well I'd very much like to hear it missy?"

Because he couldn't quite well see for that matter, to which she could responsibly grin in return finding it all quite amusing to say the least. "Well you see I had a dream, and you were in it an-"

"Well you see sir, I slipped roofies in my coffee and made her try it so she's really messed up right now."

Quickly the teen boy would cover her sending a notable wink that seemed to go straight over her managers head. The words however had not as he went red in the face and spiraling inwards towards the boy. The man's grip would coil tightly around his collar and yank him up by it thusly dragging him outside with a sturdy boot.

"You aren't welcome here anymore, Mr. Conroy. We are a drug free institution and you have broken my trust seal."

Jayr pouted quickly feeling bad that she'd gotten the boy in trouble though at the moment covered in all sorts of sugar and coffee entrails she could easily find a distraction to abrupt her composure.

"And you missy! Are on break till those drugs are out of your system."

"Yes sir."

A few quick scurried steps and Jayr would be out the door, a quick and heavy sigh projected from her lungs as she tried making sense of the whole thing only coming up with the fact that she'd been watching the horror movie Candyman too many times and had some how associated the Antagonist with her boss. That was certainly a fun trip.

"Hey psht." She'd jerk her head to the side catching Mr. Conroy who had to be about fourteen fifteen years old because he was certainly a head shorter than Jayr was at this time.

"To what do I owe the pleasure Mr Conroy?"

The Infamous Mr. Conroy.

Like other scoundrels each had his own story, for one this Mr. Conroy had done nothing in his life aside the questionable, that entailed getting high behind the school grounds when the pillars and teaching staff were busy or distracted, or even to the more prevalent cases of gambling that occurred under the school's radar. Jayr however had done little to earn even and inkling as much attention, sure she'd gotten into a few tussles here and there but nothing that was over her head or to a degree she could not handle. In fact she prided herself on her fighting, having yet to be beaten by anyone, although clearly the more serious fighters either evaded her or there was a subliminal fear pointing her out to mostly keep her distance from trouble makers of the sort.

To which point she was now here, huddled outside of the coffee shop that she worked at following a strange boy who had a notorious presence standing out as nothing more than juvenile behavior. Biting her lip till the color faded to a rosy white Jayr would pensively tap fingers at the base of her jawline awaiting the quick speech of an over medicated child who hadn't ever made social contact outside of his virtual world. However she'd be sorely mistaken as the boy took to rather a fidget that suggested he still needed help.

"So..."

"...So."

The conversation went as he took a breath collecting himself quickly and sauntered as such flipping his long locks back with the rest of his head parting it seamlessly with a patting hand. "You owe me right?" his grin tight in a smug fashion as though something ran through his mind that she certainly wasn't anticipating although quickly caught onto. Jayr's face would quickly retract into something of a snarl making to swat in his direction knocking that cocky grin off his face and back onto the floor.

"Don't even think about it, you think that because you got me out of hot water with my boss that you'd get anywhere with me you're sorely mistaken!"

Her features glowing with anger as she shouted causing the boy to laugh at her in his burnt expression. He didn't realize the severity he'd struck a chord only coming to harass her further with more words that'd end with him getting a fierce kick to the nuts.

"You look hot when you're angry."

Smack! The harsh hand to his face quickly balling her fist in a shaking rage as she stood over his corpse victoriously. No he wasn't dead, neither was he unconscious but the fact that he'd been leveled to the floor was a victory nonetheless.
