It was another normal day, or at least that is how it appeared on the outside, but in reality nothing was ever normal, not when Kevala was involved and not when she was in such a good mood as she apparently was today.
But beneath the surface the demon was running free, mixing with Kevala and creating the girl who now strolled up to the front of the school, a bright smile on her face, and those icy hues shimmering with the light of the day.
About her drifted the scent of honey and vanilla, her long raven locks drifting lightly in the breeze as she pulled open the front entrance to the school and made her way in.
Not many people were here today, it was a holiday and though she didnt have to be here.....she wanted to be.
Why? Well, the answer was simple. She had heard that Mr. Seran was packing up and leaving town. The death of his two children too much to bare, and so on and so forth.....Kevala felt it only right, as School Captain that she say goodbye to the English teacher.
Dressed in a loose fitting t-shirt and a pair of white workout pants, she slowly slipped through the empty halls, only passing a teacher here and there as she made her way to the English department.
It was not long before she reached his classroom, that little demon ready to play. Yes, Kevala was not herself today, or perhaps, just maybe, she was finally who she was always meant to be.
It was hard to tell.....
As she forced the smile from her face, she took on a solemn look, one of pain and regret, something she had learned to fake quite easily.
The door was open, and she knew he was in there, but out of being polite and respectful, she knocked upon the framing...
"Mr. Seran. May I speak with you for a moment?"
Oh yes, she sounded normal, sounded sweet, saddened, sounded like anyone would who knew the tragedy the man had just befallen.
Ah the art of lying...Such a good thing that she mastered it....Now it was like second nature, and so far, she had pulled it off swimmingly.....Not even Gabriel able to see through it.......
She would then wait for him to reply before stepping into the classroom. She perhaps should not have been here, but then, there was just something she had to get off her chest......

Everything was completely messed up. That night, out of all the nights this month, he had chosen that night to do out. Business and such. He had no idea of the horror that awaited him his return. He had come home to an utter and total blood bath. Blood splattered the walls, covered the floor, everywhere. And in the middle of it, was his daughter, his only living daughter, Chantel. He had held her lifeless body in his arms until the police arrived. Grief stricken, he knew just as much as the police did, which was squat. He couldn't stay here anymore. Not when both his children were murdered. Who would? The next morning, he had handed his letter of resignation to Thierry, before going to pack his things up. He was a broken man, the once proud yet bitter Jacques Seran, was no more. Even if he found out who killed his two precious children, he had no more fight left in him to exact revenge.
And deep down, he knew his two children rebelled against him, sometimes not even bothering to heed his words. He had lost all three of his children, all three struck down by someone. The silence his only friend now, he silently packed his belongings into his briefcase. His attention however, was diverted from his single task when he heard the sound of knocking. "... Come in." He said, although he was broken, he still upheld the image of one born with noble blood, even if said blood was of the "branch" family, as he so bitterly recalled. "... Kevala Katashi. What brings the School Captain to visit a teacher... more like, a former teacher." Even a dimwit could tell Jacques was not in the mood to chat, but even though he had lost everything, his mind was still very much sharp and clear, however emotional he felt. He would face his greatest test yet...

She was given the permission to enter, and as any "normal" person would do, she entered with her head slightly lowered, a little sigh passing her lips as she cast him a worried and caring glance.
"I heard....a...about what happened. I...I am so sorry Sir. I....I cannot imagine how hard this must be for you...I only wished to come by and.....and say that I wish you luck with...w..what ever you do in life....."
Her words broken, a sob held back as she lowered her head, eyes having filled up with tears, allowing her black hair to shield her face from view....
"I..knew both Uriel and Chantel....I...I spoke with them both.....I...cannot believe that somebody would ..... could do such a horrible thing...."
A soft whimper as she looked up at him, long enough to let him note the tears that rolled down her beautiful cheeks.....
Oh yeah, she was crying, drawing on the emotions he held to make herself able to do such. She was getting smarter, more calculating, and much more dangerous.
Thus far, nobody had stepped up to reel her in, and until they did, she would continue to let the demon roam free. No desire to hold it back, nor to lock it away.
This was just too much fun.......

"... Thank you. Though, you need not worry about me, I am sure you have more important things to be concerned with than me. Though, I appreciate your concern." Jacques replied, completely unaware of the act the School Captain in front of him was putting on. But then again, so was everyone else. Even his own nephew could not see through the act this girl so carefully performed. "... Yes, to think such horrendous actions would occur, especially in such a familiar place..." Jacques sighed, his hands held behind his back, as he saw Kevala look up at him, tears rolling down her cheeks. And she knew both his children too. Jacques had never been one to inquire about Uriel and Chantel's lives, if they had any need to tell him, they probably would've.
"... If you continue to cry like this, your beautiful eyes will be all red and swollen." Jacques said, smiling sadly, as he went back to packing, he only had a few belongings left to pack away, before he would leave this institute, and San Diego, forever. For the first time in almost God knows how years, Jacques would have to call Victoria, tell her the tragic news. No doubt, she would not take it as calmly as he had. Placing the last item inside his briefcase, Jacques pulled out a handkerchief from the pocket of his blazer, and walking up to Kevala, would gently wipe the tears from her eyes. "... I am afraid that I must be going now. Thank you, and goodbye Kevala Katashi." Jacques said, as he picked up his briefcase, and turned to the door, as he made his way out of the classroom, placing his handkerchief back in his pocket. The moment of truth, was now at hand...

She listened to his words, the tears continuing to fall as she sniffled in an attempt to hold them back. A little, forced laugh offered at his compliment of her eyes....Such a nice thing to say for a man who had just lost everything. If she could feel anything she may have felt sorry for him, perhaps even admirable of his bravery..But as it stood, the demon inside purred with excitement.
As the last of his belongings were packed away, she noted him moving closer, her head lifting upward, that same sorrowful look in her eyes as she felt him wipe away her tears. Another gesture that at one point may have gotten through to Kevala, but not now...There was nothing there but a dark void, its only occupant a demon like creature that was getting a kick out of this.
Then he said his farewell, turning and heading toward the door.
With a hesitant step forward, Kevala bit her lip and then called after him softly.
"Mr. Seran? I...I have something for you."
She then moved toward him, her movements slow and still very upset in nature, she could barely hold it together it seemed. But instead she was merely a tiger stalking her prey, though she would not kill this one.
No, it would be much much worse than that.......
As she neared his side, she reached into her pocket, pulling out a lock of Chantel's hair, the rest taped into her journal at home, making sure that he could not see it just yet....
Then, ever so lightly, she leaned in and with the hair hidden in her fist, she took his hand, holding it up as if to put something in it..
That fist rising, her fingers unfurling and the lock of hair, which she had simply tied together with a small rubberband fell into his palm.
It was only then that she would press her ear against his and whisper in her dark and sinister tone........
"Her screams were like music to my ears....Her blood so heavenly as it coated my hands, slid down my throat, the taste was divine...........She begged to die......Begged to have me end her....To slit her pretty little throat and end her suffering....."
She then stepped away from him. No more tears, no more worry or false unhappiness....Instead there was a smile, a scary, evil smile on those beautiful features......
"It was nice having you as a teacher Mr. Seran. Do take care. Yes?"
With that, she leaned against the wall and waited for him to leave, her head tilting ever so slightly as she waited for him to leave.....A little giggle escaping her at the memories of what she had done..........

Even after losing everything, Jacques still had the charm he was known for, offering a compliment to Kevala, even wiping her tears away. He had nothing left to lose at this point, he didn't need to lose anything more. Turning to leave, he was halfway through the door when he heard Kevala call out to him. Pausing in mid-step, he turned his head slowly to look behind him, almost weary, as he looked at her with eyes devoid of any emotion... and life. The once confident look he had in his eyes had completely disappeared. "...?" He watched her reach into her pocket, the moment she had reached his side, she leaned in and took his free hand, her other hand, which was curled into a fist, was slowly lifted up, as his fingers uncurled, revealing a lock of hair tied together with a rubber band. His eyes widened in complete shock, that hair, it was... "Chantel."
Talk about adding insult to injury. Her lock of hair fell into his open hand, as he stared at it, unable to even walk away. His eyes dilated as he heard her whisper into his ear in a sinister tone before she stepped away. "... You... you did this... you killed her..." Jacques barely managed to get out, in a barely audible whisper, as he stared at her, an evil smile on her face. "..." He could barely say anything at this point, not out of shock, but because he knew anything he said would be futile. "... Such a demon. If 'he' knew... I wonder what his reaction would be." He then quickly turned and left the classroom, the giggle he heard only fueling his reason to leave as quickly as possible. Jacques truly had no more fight left in him. His lust for revenge died along with his two children. The same day, in the evening, Jacques left San Diego behind... forever.

She nodded as he seemed to be catching on, then he commented on the ominous "he"....Oh no! Who ever could he mean? Another giggle escaping her as she leaned out, sticking her head into the hall as she called after him.
"So you know...."he" already knew...I told him what I was going to do.....We all knew....."
She shook her head, her tongue brushing over her lips slowly slipping out of the class room and making her own exit. She had to get some things done.
Not to mention it was time to go and pick up Zeke .... might as well deal with "him" while she still was in a good mood.
Ah, at least now she could rest easy that there was no thread to Ezekial for the time being. His main threats dead and gone. Just as they should be........Not to mention, "he" was safe as well. Something she took great pride in, even if it would only end with nothing to show for it, other than that blond lock of hair in her journal......
