[/b] There is an aura around Hildegard Merquise that's just calming, she attracts many people of various types with her positive attitude and friendly nature. In a sense she is very innocent, she believes in the good of all and giving people multiple chances. No matter how many times a person wrongs you and begs for forgiveness, you always need to accept the apology, they usually mean it. For the most part, Hilde is very hyper, she's full of energy and always willing to go the distance to get the job done. Sympathetic, kind, and caring, are all traits that Hilde has always seemed to have. She cares for most, even to strangers and those who have wronged her. Anything to make someone smile.

Saphir Gneiss on the other had is quite the handful, she is a narcissist with a strange sense in style. She's a little more eccentirc and finds happiness in the strangest of things. She has a tendency to scare people away with her strange obsessive nature. Once she sets her eyes on someone she becomes persistant and willl hunt them down no matetr what. No one should ever let their guard down, for if they do, she'd probably strike.To experiement and observe people in their natural habitat. Perhaps a little something here, cutting you open there, messing with your brain. All in the name of fun. She's overconfident, selfcentered, annnnnddd a bit over dramatic. Her sense of humour is a little warped, like her brain, but who didn't see that? When she's in the: "I want to cut you open and poke your spleen," mood, one should be a little weary. The mad scientist. Whether friend or foe, remember, Saphir is watching you! Out of love.....or scientific interest. It can be said Saphir's inflated ego stems from feelings of inadequacy or loneliness, but there's no proof. She seems to be quite happy chasing down poor ususpecting classmates.

History

[/b] Abel Godfrey and Nadia Audley married at a young age in their little country town, only to move to Dusseldorf shortly after their wedding. Where they'd start up their little happy family, the mother staying at home, whilst the father worked on becoming a detective. Things seemed to fly by smoothly, even with Abel's sense of justice, never letting anything stop hime and always doing the right thing. Whilst others on the force were being bribed by the mafia... Why? Slave trade. Since before he joined the force, Abel had always wished to stop the group responsible for his childhood friend's disapperance.

You know what they say...

Fly too close to the sun and you'll get burnt...

The closer her got to solving the case, the more things seemed to happen. An attempt on his life here, another there. It was routine, though sadly, they seemed to be getting closer and closer to his family. When Hilde was almost six years old, they placed a hit on the family, using Hildegard and Nadia as bait, trying to black mail him into giving up and backing off. Little did they know, that with the aid of Jesus [ an underworld hitman] they were inflitrating the lair of the slave traders. When they elarned of such things, they started by taking them to the underground compound... They horrible place where they remove evidence of their kills.

Before her very eyes, Hilde witness the death of her mother, as well as the beaking down of the body, with use of chemicals. The stink, the horrible sight... Knowign her mother was gone.. The girl was spared, only because Abel and Jesus had finally located her. Sadly, they were too late to save Nadia. Things started sometimes lack the ability to end the way you wish. With the case of the Slave traders revenge against Able, it didn't work out... Abel and Hilde were freed, yet at the same time, they had to retreat. Which meant, it would probably be best to leave behind Germany, to keep Abel and Hilde safe.

With the aid of "The Wall" [an international crime unit belonging to"The Elements Network"] Abel and hilde were given a new life and new last name in America. Going by the family name Merquise, Abel starts working as an american detective. Whilst the distrubed Hildegard enters the American school system. She slowly starts to forget about the accident with her mother, along with random periods of time afterwards. She'd often find herself questioning why she was tired, or where the day had gone. The school found it a bit strange, but they too noticed the odd change in the young girl. On and off. Normal and strange. Hilde would show signs of something. Sadly, since no one knew what happened that day back in Germany... No one would really know.. Know that on that cold december day, born out of sadness and fear a second personality.

With the lust for others blood, the longing to see people suffering, and of course the ever present need to watch, to see how things work. To cut a person open and poke around in their insides. To see what chemicals do what to a human body.. Just to watch a person happy and then to see them suffer. Hilde was cursed with Saphir, the reason for her bing tired and of course for the odd looks she'd get sometimes.

Which is probably why she transfered a lot, every year. A burden to her father, but he did it to keep her safe and happy. On the same note, he kept Saphir from Hilde, in hopes of the second personality leaving.

One last move.

California was the last place they'd move to. She was tired of her father's strain, the pain he had to go through in order to keep her happy. Although she didn't know why exactly they moved, Hilde didn't want to leave. She wished to be normal, make friends, and stay in one place for her entire high school life. No matter what. So begins her time at Public High School #774.
