So it was rather cliché looking sitting at the table of an open-air café nestled secretly away along the coast, away from the majority of the hustle of downtown by herself in a denim skirt, and a white tank which was – for now, covering her bathing suit. But Liana was doing more then enjoying the peace and quiet of the late afternoon. With a bit of an over cast, and a cooling wind floating in off the water, carrying the scent of salt and sand, she was waiting on someone If there was one thing she loved about California this would be it. Lightly bouncing her left foot up and down, the leg which was crossed over her right, Lia lounged in chair at a small round and nearly dainty iron wrought table that looked like had barely enough room to hold her one cup of chilled coffee much less seat two – like the other chair adjacent to her suggested it did. She wasn’t getting a change of scenery, or doing anything different really, but it was nice to go to the beach when the weather permitted and it was definitely the day. Though…as lovely as the atmosphere was at the moment, making the small smile play on her full lip, Liana stood wiggling her fingers into the small pocket of her skirt and pulling out a ten to put it on the table for the half drunk cup of Joe, and a tip – though the service hadn’t been all that great. Before she left Liana bent to pick up the bag she had brought that had her towel, sunscreen a few sandwiches along with bottles of water and a single serving bags of chips in it – all for her and her company. Stepping out of the seaside bistro, and down the cement walk way Lia veered her path toward the beach figuring that Devon should be showing up any time, but at this point – the surf breaking on the sore looked to inviting to ignore anymore. And she hadn’t come to the beach just to lay out, she wanted to swim… Stepping out of her flipflops, as her fingers made quick work of the button on her skirt Liana wiggled out of it, before smoothly reaching for the end of her shirt and tugging it up over head. With a smile to herself she pushed her skirt, shoes, and shirt a little closer to her bag with her toe before taking off, jogging lightly across the hot churned sand, moving quickly to cool the bottoms of her feet in the water.

Devon had been having quite the interesting run ins with Liana Williams for several days, stretched out with brief intervals during which they went about their own business. Their last run in had been by far the most intimate on an emotional level. Although he would argue the physical level was broken by their very first run in, which the mere mention of could make the girl flush, much to his amusement. But out of all the things he expected from their next interaction a day at the beach hadn't been high on his list, not that he would argue against a chance to see her in a bathing suit. Although he wasn't much of a beach goer, so he held off his acceptance of the idea when they talked over the phone until she mentioned she was bringing sandwiches. Obviously having more then enough motivation at that point he gladly accepted. Devon wasn't sure he was on time when he casually walked along concrete walkway that separated the warm sand from the sand. He had been on the path for a while, and had yet to spot Liana. Starting to get curious just where she was he reached into the pocket of his trunks to pull out his cellphone. After punching a few numbers he heard a series of rings coming from the sand behind him. With a grin he dropped the cellphone from his ear and wandered toward the ring tone, jogging lightly toward the bag that had been left behind with a discarded outfit. He wondered where she had went, and glanced out at the water as he stopped near her bag, bending over to pull off his sandals, undeterred by the heat of the sand. After dropping his towel down from his shoulder next to the bag he pulled the teeshirt over his head and dropped it as well.

For a moment, Liana enjoyed the cooler compact sand where the salty waves licked at the shore, coming in and out to caress the beach and flood over her feet right up past her ankles as she took to slowly walking. Progressively getting closer to the water, to wade out in to it, until the forceful push of the current was felt, making her body sway along with it.
Without giving it a second thought and with a smile, Liana dived in under the water and pushing her way below the rolling waves. The shock of cold was brief on her skin before she was left to enjoy it in the few short seconds she was under completely. Surfacing quickly her fingers broke through the top first, slicing the rolling surface before the rest of her followed, her feet finding solid sandy ground beneath her as she pushed her hands up over her face and back through her hair to slick her long -now darkened- brown locks back smooth.
Turning in the water she headed back toward the shore, droplets riviting down her body, catching in the fabric of her bikini or falling from her in beaded trails. It only took a disoriented minute for her gaze to focus on a familiar form a few short feet away, at her pile of stuff, a wide smile split her face and she lifted a hand, her legs pumping a little harder against the light resistance of the water.
"Hey!" She called out, sort of exaggerated - drawn out sort of like a yoohoo would be, and with a small laugh to herself she quickly made her way over; her fingers dropping down to the strings encasing her sides to adjust it as she went. With her breath a little deeper then it was a few minutes ago she slowed a stop in front of Devon, her light green eyes lit up with her obvious pleasure for being here and swimming. "Glad you made it."
For once she wasn't really concerned about her state of dress...it was a beach, after all, so stooping down she plucked a towel from the top of her bag and brought it to her face.

Devon had been intending to wait patiently for Liana to return from the surf, not knowing how far she had headed off. In the mean time he glanced down to his things and wondered if he should just leave them in place until he headed off to the waves himself, as he was already starting to feel his skin start to bake in the warm sun, and the sound the constant beating of waves on the shore was starting to sound more and more tempting.
Their plans didn't wind up being that awkwardly timed, however, as he heard someone calling out to him from the water. Glancing outward from his place on the shore he spotted Liana, and quickly remembered why he was willing to way on shore for her in the first place. Beaches, the curse and blessing of any red blooded male.
Resisting to urge to reach up and shove his eyeballs back into his skull Devon cracked a grin and titled his head back and to the side slightly, his pose relaxed as he looked out on the approaching girl, who he had to admit he was a little surprised to find so enthusiastic about his arrival. That and he didn't expect her to be fixing up the rather tempting looking strings at her hips.
Dragging his eyes forcefully upward he reached out and snatched the towel away from her, tossing it back down on top of the rest of their things. "What you doing that for, we gotta work up an appetite for those sandwiches you promised me." He bent his knees and dropped down a foot in height, wrapped his right arm around her thighs, and stood abruptly. The result of which was that she was resting her upper body against his shoulder while he charged down the beach.
Well trained in how to move in the surf he easily kept up the quick pace until the water was reaching his knees, where resistance would increase, and he would playfully launch Liana out into an oncoming wave, that would cushion her fall further then the mere two feet of water would have otherwise provided. Proudly he would put one hand to his waist, the wave lapping across his toned thighs, darkening his suit, while the other hand rested loosely at his side as he gazed out at where she would emerge from the surf.

Liana was unsurprised to see Devon looking so relaxed as she jogged lightly up to him, however she was slightly taken back when he snatched her towel right out of her hand only to throw it down. Before she could find the words to protest, her world was tipping and turning in a direction that disoriented her for a moment. With a small noise of protest on her lips her hands automatically went to low on his back, her fingers curling in the waist band of his swim shorts.
However she couldn't help but laugh to herself in a moment later to feel that Devon was moving now, quite quickly and easily like her weight hadn't been a problem at all. Liana's face colored, dusting her cheeks with a nicely rich pink hue as she dared to move a hand to beat at his back playfully. "Put me down!" She found herself saying rather in a cliche fashion, one leg bending at the knee before straightening, but afraid of moving anymore then that because he just might drop her on her ass. "Devon," Liana stressed in audible exasperation, but unable to wipe the smile off her face.
Regardless though, she was pretty sure about what he was about to do, but it didn't prepare at all to feel the surprise breath that left her when she was hoisted up and out over the water. Making her gasp and a yelp leave her before she hit the water in a rather ungraceful landing.
Thankfully she hadn't inhaled any of the water, though she squeezed her eyes shut and held her lips tightly closed, her feet naturally went below her she scrambled to stand surfacing with a sputtered cough when she gulped for air a little to early. Liana had enough sense though to push a hand over her face again and remove the curtain of hair that clung to her face. Somewhere between all that, another laugh found her, even if she weaved a little, her center of balance thrown off until she was able to open her eyes.
When she was actually able to crack her eyes, she glared with good humor at the blond seeing that he looked just about as pleased as the cat who had dipped in the cream. Well what was she supposed to do about it anyways though? She certainly wasn't strong enough to get him back and dunk him....or at least she couldn't with him so much in the shallows.
Placing her hands to her hips, Liana cocked her head to the side and titled her chin up, her smile turning to a small smirk, copying his posture more or less from earlier. "That was real cute, why don't you try that again." her tone was begging to be defied, somewhat enticing in the way for him to go ahead and pick up the challenge.

Keeping his pose as Liana emerged from the surf, and he watched as a hand came up in front of her face, flicking the curtain of hair out of the way. When she laughed he looked all the more pleased with himself, figuring if he was going to be playful with her it would definitely be better then a milk jug.
As her eyes slowly opened Devon noticed a small glare mixing with her good humor, which actually enhanced his enjoyment of it. Although he couldn't really figure out why that was, it somehow did make his expression all the more vivid.
Without pause she mirrored his pose, and he couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. Somehow he suspected she pulled off the pose a bit better then he did, likely due to the fact her hip jutted out at such an angle that made her look somehow more appealing.
Devon let his hand drop to his side, his shoulders rolling forward as he bent his knees, adopting a more predatory stance, including a clearly predatory grin. He would stalk forward into the water, hunching lower and lower. Until finally a wave high enough to cut himself off from her vision would roll toward him. Ducking at just the right time he would slip under the water.
Pushing off with the balls of his feet on the firm sand he would swim low along the sand, hoping the reflection of the sun across the waters surface and natural distortion would hide his presence long enough that he could maneuver behind her, all the while keeping his eyes open, his vision fuzzy in the salt water but managing all the same.
Slowly he slipped out of the water and would abruptly wrap his sea water chilled limbs about her waist, roaring in a clearly joking manner as he pulled her back tight to his chest, and drove his feet into the sand again, pulling them deeper into the surf.

Liana couldn't help but laugh again when his stance changed clearing taking her up on her offer of doing that one more time, and she helped bait the predatory instinct by taking a step back. The waves pushed up against her backside and she bounced lightly with the bobbing water against her, her hands dropping from her hip as well but making sure to keep an eye on him. Smartly her eyebrow rose with an expression that clear said what are you waiting for? thought Devon didn't look like he needed all that much motivation at the moment.
She was glad to see - more then anything - that he seemed to have a good time, enjoying the fact he was at the beach, because she had gotten the feeling earlier that he was slightly adverse to the offer. That aside all it took, it felt like, was a blink, with his lowered stance and a high rolling wave and he was gone. Clearly under the water, but just where and what angle he was coming at, she had no clue. With small pushed of her toes into the sand she inched her way back, getting that distinctly stalked feeling, but grinning wider by the second.
At his sudden appearance behind her, mixed with the fact he made his own announcing holler, caused her to shriek which tapered off into a laugh - a throaty, and full bodied sound. Liana's hands went automatically to his forearms holding on tight when she felt him pulling them back further into deeper water. This wasn't a side to Devon that Liana had gotten to see quite yet, though nothing could really told from the handful of times they had run into each other and talked.
She rather liked it. His behavior and mannerisms in the moment making her feel light, and complimenting her mood in the moment. When she was able, Liana wiggled a little in his hold to get him to loosen up his grip so she could turn around her arms going around his neck seeing as how her toes barely skimmed the sand at this point. However, as good as a time she was having, she kept herself from instinctively raising her legs to wrap around him, and instead of concentrating on the way his front felt pulled flush against her own - Liana lifted a hand and ran it through the longer lengths of his blond hair, spiking it up.
The look it gave him making her chuckle before meeting his gaze again her smile wide enough to make the dimple in her left cheek stand out, before going on to speak rather breathlessly due to the short tussle, "I'm really glad you decided to come."

Devon's holler tapered off quickly into mischievous laughter, using one arm to push them deeper into the water, his feet still brushing easily across the sand under them. Although while he could, save for waves that lifted him up and then lowered him lightly back down, Liana was completely dependent on his balance at this point.
In response to that he could feel her wriggling between his chest and his arm. Loosening his hold he watched, and felt, as she smoothly slipped around. Glancing briefly left and right he watched her arms move smoothly around the back of his neck, only to quickly muss up his hair. Already pliable, and all the more so in the salt water, it spiked up briefly, only to have the tips sag with the weight of moisture.
He smiled as he would tip his upper body back and let a wave lift him up and carry them back toward the beech by a bit. But without pause he would straighten his back and slip deeper back into the water with small bounces, enjoying the feel of her body floating smoothly along with him, the subtle softness of her brushing over his chilled skin.
Suddenly his smile would turn into a roguish grin, the hand he had been using to keep balance gliding through the water to rest on the curve of her hip. "I'm really glad you decided to invite me, and come in something so..." His fingertips would disappear from her side for a moment, and then she would feel a slight sensation of slow absence as he had undone the knot at one side of her hip.
"Vulnerable." He finished with the same roguish expression, brazen yes, but she would have to give him credit on his timing, as they were now well away from anyone else in the surf, and easily deep enough to keep such things an intimate secret. In that moment the only thing keeping it from simply floating down her thigh was his hand pressing against her hip, in replacement of the knot.

At the reveal of his rather wolfish grin Liana knew something was up, she was beginning to associate such an expression with him about to do something that would have her blushing. So it really shouldn't have been of any real shock when she felt his hand slip down to her hip, the light tickling against her skin making her already cool flesh tingle with an unexpected reaction for the touch.
The space between them was already diminished beyond what was probably considered friendly but she hadn't been anticipating that the same hand loosely cupping the soft curve would pull back, and take the string of her bikini with it. Liana's rather easy going and relaxed expression melted in astonishment that he had actually done it, feeling the unmistakable feeling of the flimsy fabric drifting away from her body.
Without thinking she pressed her thighs together her lips parting in when an audible gasp was forced out of her, and her face growing hot, all in the span of about two seconds. His hand remained where he had previously removed the garment, keeping it relatively in place for now, but her hand also went to his, her fingers seeking out the ties blindly, her disbelief for his bold move obvious.
Liana was finally able to get a hold of it, but it did her little good without the use of her other hand to re-do it, which she was almost unwilling to use because she'd have to let go of him. She gave a short almost dubious breathed out laugh at what he had done. "Clever," she said her chin ducking down, her one sided grin not giving much to convey she was at all that put out.
"Now what are you going to do about that? Hm? I can't swim around out any bottoms on..." Maybe Liana was starting to get used to Devon's antics, or maybe she actually enjoyed them enough not to have the same reaction as she had when they first met...but she couldn't help but slowly curl her legs to around his waist. Her immediate interest in Devon had become apparent probably after the pivotal day under that tree in the courtyard - their interaction going from casual, friendly to something questionably more.

Devon found himself staring down intently at Liana as her expression shifted quick, the shock that registered in her widened eyes catching his attention. He was a rather bold individual, and the single little tug at a bit of string was more bold then many would even be tempted to attempt, but he was more thoughtful then people gave him credit for.
For starters he had made quite sure they were deep in the water, where even he was bouncing along lightly from the bottom, and that there was no other swimmers in the immediate area. Also he was being playful rather then perverted, as instead of thoughtlessly letting the item of clothing drift away he kept it loosely resting on her body, making her dependent on his presence.
This distinction helped keep him confident in the space of time that he was once again wondering what she would bonk him with for his boldness. But instead of reacting in that way he found that her skin glowed warmly despite the cold water lapping about their shoulders. Even then he didn't feel even the smallest falter in his roguish grin.
When her expression finally leveled out, her delicate fingers pressed tightly over the hand he had pinning the flimsy string against her skin, he noticed it slowly shifted into a grin of her own. The breathy laughter widened his grin as he felt them being once more lifted by a wave, which urged him to inch back from shore once again to keep his place.
"Well you could, but I had something a little different in mind for the time being." Devon said, his grin faltering slightly when he felt her smooth legs wrapping slowly about his waist. But that didn't keep it from widening further as he let the arm that had gone around her slip back, and his fingers brushed smoothly along her skin while the digits resting against her hip pressed a little more firmly. "Although I could actually be cruel enough to just give one more little tug, and make a dash for the beach..."
