A Challenge ( Cain )

It was one of those things, the challenge she was about to set forth, that was destined to happen....eventually. Moving out into the courtyard of the school, she reached into her bag pulling out a hair tie and then pulling her locks back and into a ponytail. Why? Well cause when you challenge somebody to fight you keep your hair out of the way.

After she was done she took her bag and tossed it beneath a large tree off to the side of her, again to keep it out of the way.....Bad habit of hers.

Then, she waited. For what? Well for the kid she had sent off in search of their illustrious captain to set forth the challenge. Did she think she could really take the title? Well not really but she could damn well try her best.

It was more a matter of her setting herself straight in proving that she was not the weakling she had been at 259. No, at the very least she could make this extremely hard on him and perhaps send him to the hospital.

She should have cared, but honestly she did not....She was too lost in her own little world which had been consumed by darkness to care that the guy had a girlfriend and future kid waiting on him at home.

The freshman had gotten the messege. He had to tell the School Captain that Kevala wanted to fight him for the title. It was not hard to forget since there had yet to be a challenge on the title since it had been given to Cain. So therefore it was a big deal.

Running through the school the kid finally came upon Cain and as he struggled to catch his breath he delivered the messege he had been entrusted with. Or at least he saw himself as being that important.

"C...Cain...Kevala Katashi is waiting in the courtyard for you. She wishes to challenge you for the title."

His hazel eyes going over the School Captain now as he waited. Intending to follow him back to view the fight as it progressed.

And the fight begins!

Cain let out a soft sigh as he turned on his heels, allowing his body to crumple against the wall, his back finding the solid feel of concrete, relieving his knees a large part of the pressure of his weight. To say the least, the man was tired. He had been going through activities after activities, school trips after school trips, camps after camps, fights after fights, and the fact that it was far from over made it all seem even more exhausting. He raised his right hand, brushing his brown hair back and pressing his cranium against the wall. He was honestly starting to hate being School Captain. It was too much hassle for a person, even him.

He would close his eyes for a moment, taking in the sounds of the crowded hallways as he tried to salvage as much rest as he could from the peace around him. His white fitting shirt shuffled only so slightly as he lowered his right hand, his blue denim jeans not being allowed much free movement either, as his black sneakers gripped onto the tiled floor tight, preventing him from sliding downwards. Cain did not get much rest, though, as the sound of quick approaching footsteps prompted him to open his eyes, his emerald hues finding the figure of the freshman.

"C...Cain...Kevala Katashi is waiting in the courtyard for you. She wishes to challenge you for the title."

Kevala? A challenge for the title? Cain's eyes widened in shock for a moment. Kevala Katashi. Yeah, Cain knew her. They had met in quite a set of unusual circumstances, upon a bench at where a beaten-up Senior was lying on the ground, bleeding. And they actually had a lot of common, as Cain had learned that day. He had seen her quite a number of times after that too, in his classes. He even worked with her in one of them. For Kevala Katashi to challenge him for his title was, to say the least, unexpected. Cain sighed, watching as the crowd around him slowed to a halt, all eyes and attention on him. It was a challenge. Of course he had to accept.

With a soft grunt, he gave the freshman a nod, before pushing himself off the wall. Well, he had seen Kevala in action, somewhat, and what he noticed was that she was aggressive and brutal. Cain would have to be really careful about her. Without another word, Cain would proceed to the courtyard, before finding the familiar figure of his challenger, his left thumb in his pocket and his right hand raised in a mock wave manner.

"Hey."

He made his voice heard as soon as he was in her earshot range, before stopping three steps after, standing then at a reasonable distance, a small smile on his face and his emerald eyes focused on hers.

Kev stood there, her mind wandering a bit as she waited on the school captain to make his appearance.

Finally after a bit of waiting, she heard the sound of that familiar tone coming from before her, causing her to lift her eyes upward to meet his own, a little grin curling upon her lips.

Kev was never one to think she could beat anyone, but she was one to try and push herself beyond her limit. If he kicked her ass then so be it, if not then cool.....

Spreading her feet just enough to steady herself, she brushed her tongue slowly over her lower lip and tilted her head a bit to the side, her hands resting lightly at her side as she balled her small hands into fists.

"Hey there cutie. Figure you have been having it too easy as Captain so far. Thought I would give you a little fun."

The words had no sooner left her lips before she took off toward him, her right first slamming forward into his jaw, and then her left knee coming up to slam into his ribs.

A short but powerful attack, something she was rather surprised she was able to pull off given she used to be the slowest and the weakest person out there. But either way she would have to wait and see if it worked. Bouncing back she kept her eyes on him, a playful glint in her eyes. It was always fun for her to fight, despite how much she tried to hide it.
