"I'm telling you now, I'm not the nicest person in the world."
Jay is a confusing kind of guy. For one thing, he seems nice and quiet, maybe a little aggressive, at a glance. However, there are times when Jay simply snaps for no apparent reason, at seemingly the smallest things, such as a scuff on his shoes. However, other times, he is fairly nice. Jay is a little rude, but that’s in his nature; he doesn’t let anybody tell him what to do. He is also straight-forward, sometimes brutally so, and sarcastic at times. But interestingly enough, he tries not to curse. He finds it unattractive, as well as a sign of lack of intelligence.
Jay's sarcasm is a wry attempt at humor; to lighten up dark situations. He realizes it can often be agitating, and it is because there's the possibility of a fight that Jay says such things. His life is stressful; even for a teenager, and he is not one to simply attack for no reason. However, he likes making people angry; to attack him first. However, the only times Jay might "attack for no reason" would be in the case of a misunderstanding.... which seems to happen quite a lot.
Jay is also immune to the charms of a girl; able to see past the sweet exterior. He is not shallow, and values character far more than a body. He is also a dense person, not really realizing the signs of love and such; oftentimes, he'll end up hurting that person. However, strangely, Jay is easy to make friends with. It takes a witty remark or comment to strike up a conversation, and subsequently, friendship. He's not all that afraid to speak his mind, but there are simply times when he feels it is inappropriate to. Although he doesn't appear to, Jay aches for friendship and companions, but can't help but relieve his stress through fights, thus scaring people away. He cares little for what people think of him; he does not bend for people.
Jay's relationship with his brother is interesting. He cares a lot for him, and is envious of the fact that Kyu is good overall; athletics, grades, etc, whereas Jay is good with his fists and little more. Jay does not realize his brother is also envious of him, and in the end, you get a strange love/hate relationship; one can't live without the other, although Jay (and possibly) Kyu wouldn't openly admit it.

"Is there something wrong with the way I look?"
Yes, it's Choi Seung-Hyun (TOP) from Big Bang.
Jay's build has improved. He is more than fit, although built for endurance rather than sudden bursts of energy (not that he can't supply that). Not extremely muscular; this causes opponents to underestimate him. A quick inspection of his body reveals smooth lines slapped onto a small frame, with chiseled features. He also sports a six pack that does more than look good. Why? How? Recently, Jay has been getting more and more cut due to his frequent fights and physical activity. His skin is taut over his body, making him toned. Jay is also adept with his hands; having very “graceful” hands. He is better at handling small and delicate things than most males. Although he doesn’t know it, he’s a good runner, and can last for a long time. The only thing that might impair him is his foot size; a twelve. Besides that, he is lanky, and there is nothing particularly special about his body. Jay stands 5'11," weighing 145 lbs.
His face is hard to describe, so just refer to the picture I provided. Even in an anime world, there are normal looking people. Jay's brown eyes and brownish black hair is proof of this. If there is one special thing about his face, it'd be his eyes. They have the dark and mysterious appearance, due to thick eyelashes, and a strange shape. On each ear, Jay has two piercings on the earlobe. On the base of his neck, Jay has a tattoo in the shape of a barcode, and below it reads "Contents Under Pressure." Jay's hair varies from time to time, and haircut to haircut, but it is usually one of two things: a moptop of sorts, or medium length and spiky.
Jay prefers the "hip hop" style of dress, namely loose to baggy jeans. He hates wearing anything other than jeans; he even sleeps in the pair he plans to wear the next day. Jay usually wears a wife beater, then a tight to loose fitting T-shirt. If it's cold, he throws a hoodie or sweatshirt over that. He doesn't like wearing anything more, and doesn't even own a real coat. Besides his ear piercings, the only other accessories he wears are dogtags around his neck. On his left wrist, he also has a analog watch.

"I had a family at one point. Don't remember when. Oh well."
Just highlighting important aspects of Jay's life.
There are two things Jay dislikes. Alcohol, and the word "home." Let me explain why.
Jay was one of two twins of a Korean couple living in Queens, New York. The mother and father were in an arraigned marriage. Big mistake on both family's part. For one thing, the mother was a dumb broad. Since it was guaranteed she was going to get married, she didn't try in school, or try to get a job. She just cared about marrying up. The dad too, had problems. He was an alcoholic, and could not keep a steady job. To compensate, they had two sons, hoping they would be able to support them soon. Does this family get anymore dysfunctional?
Being they were twins, same age and all, it was only natural that Jay and his twin brother (named Kyu-Hyun) would play together a lot. Also, due to the cruel nature of the household, they'd often go to each other for comfort. Until the start of junior high, they were usually together, both because they liked to hang out together, and because people's reactions when they first saw them was funny. Besides their home life, life seemed to be going pretty well. They were both somewhat popular, and did fairly well in school.
Then the incident.
Right before high school, Jay and his father had another argument, though this one exploded onto a larger scale. Drunk and angry, the father struck him across the face. Infuriated by this crap he was taking, Jay was about to attack when Kyu held him back and stopped him. It was also at this point that the mounting financial pressures were getting to be too much. The family then moved to downtown Manhattan, to a smaller apartment.
In this new apartment, Jay and Kyu had to share a room; not exactly exciting. The two were growing apart after the incident, and it didn't seem likely that they'd reconcile. Kyu was keeping his eye on the future studying hard. Jay on the other hand, stopped trying in school. Although he could answer any question, he just didn't see the point anymore. No matter how much Kyu tried to convince him to try, Jay didn't listen. Hoping to get a fresh start, in the middle of Sophomore year, Jay transferred to 774, hoping to get a fresh start, and maybe away from his brother. However, Jay was unaware that his brother had transferred along with him.

"Sure I'll fight you. Just get an ambulance ready."
Style:
Strengths:
- Durable. He has more than the average amount of stamina, and his body is tough.
- Unpredictable. Since Jay doesn't use a real style, there are no clear patterns in his movements.
- Flexible. Since Jay doesn't have that much muscle, and is slim, he can twist and stretch in weird ways. Useful in grapples? Jay is also double jointed.
Weaknesses:
- Not particularly fast or strong. The little man should work out.
- Relies a lot on instinct. Not always the best thing.
- Can sometimes get so into the fight, he forgets about the surroundings and overlooks small details.
