XIN-esque film?! Oo;

I'll start off by saying this... Takashi Miike is one of my favorite film directors of all time. With that out of the way, I actually wanted to share this movie(s) for quite some time. I seriously went through my DVD collection right now and found after months of not being able to watch it.

This film is called Crows Zero. Based on a pretty popular manga of the same title.

Japan is WELL-KNOWN for it's high school brawling student drama flicks... But Takashi Miike has certainly out done himself with this one. With a competition like the film Aoi Haru (Blue Spring) being released a little earlier, he really had to pull out all the stops. But enough film talk... Here's the fucking trailer:

Crows Zero

The main character is the son of a Yakuza crime-boss. Genji Takiya, the boss' son transfers to school after school for violent behavior, until his father finally enrolls him in Suzuran High School. His father during his high schoo days built up his crime syndicate by becoming the King of Suzuran High and expects his son to follow in his footsteps. Genji has pretty much been anticipating this school his whole life.

Suzuran High School is infamous for it's riots and brawls between student gangs and what not.

But yeah, the movie is so ridiculously awesome I can't explain it. You have to watch it. If some people lived in the NY area I would definitely lend the DVDs, seeing as I own both of them... but alas, noone is damn near close to me.

I totally suggest watching it on the internet if you can, though.


DEFINITELY worth a watch. :]

I saw this madddd long ago. Was awesome. There's an even more epic sequel called Crows ZERO II.
