And now, Cain was starting to relish weekends, especially Sundays, when the school was closed. And since it was closed, of course, that meant that Cain did not have to report his attendance as the School Captain of #774. In the past, Cain had to search for times when he would come by a bully victimizing upon a weaker student before he would actually pick a fight. Now, people were challenging and attacking him left and right. Had the fight-lover actually picked way too many fights for him to handle? Perhaps. Either way, he was enjoying it. A grin came upon his face at that thought as he leaned against the bar of the counter, waiting for his order to come by to him. It was a simple Mango Smoothie, though anyone who knew Cain would not be surprised at his choice of drinks. The Junior just loved mangoes too much to not resist it as long as it was on the menu. It did not take long for the employees to produce his smoothie, so the School Captain had not been forced to wait long. Wrapped in a two-ply tissue to absorb the dew that would condense on the outer side of the plastic cup, Cain turned to see if there was any free seats in front of him. However, all the tables had been taken it seemed. Cain scanned it twice, just to make sure that he had not missed any open tables, but instead found himself staring at a number of open seats. Cain sighed. Guess he would have to share a table. At that, he started looking for a person that was closest to his age, knowing that he would be more comfortable sitting with his own age group. Then, he found one. A girl, who looked Asian The Junior walked over to him, wearing a white dress shirt, sleeves folded to the elbow and buttoned up save the collar. It was untucked too, hiding his brown belt from view, the belt that kept his blue denim jeans in place. His black Converse sneakers made soft tapping sounds against the floor as he made his way to the young female. Leaning forward, he waved his left hand gently to get her attention. "Hey, mind if I sit here?" He would gesture towards the seat opposite her, a soft smile on his face. Well, she looked harmless and average enough. Despite his fighter personality, Cain was actually quite a friendly and sociable guy. He just had weird tastes in 'fun'. However, there was one thing that might catch the attention of a few, for on the right collar of his shirt was a badge. A black badge with a white lining and five equally white digits on it. 774 SC

Living a hundred miles away from her parents meant that when weekends came, Chi was free to do whatever she wanted. Granted, if she was home she would do whatever she wanted anyway, but this way she didn't have to deal with the grief and stupid disapproval.
Last night had been wild, and this afternoon was definitely a coffee afternoon. Dressed in a black tank top and ripped AE jeans, her hair pulled up in a messy bun, Chi sat at a table in the cafe sipping on a iced coffee and reading from a book. Even slightly hung over, Chihiro still managed to look good.
"Hey, mind if I sit here?"
Dark brown eyes glanced up from her book, one hand loosely on her coffee and one on her book. She gave him a once over. Boy. Brown hair, average. But the cut was clean and crisp, nice. Green eyes, HOT unique. Nice body under clean, stylish clothing. Gaydar was silent...good.
...but wait, what is this?
774 SC? School Captain?
Chihiro smiled, nodding at the seat across from her.
"Not at all."
She looked back to her book, reading, though at the same time watching him through her peripheral vision. She hadn't met the SC yet, of course she'd heard about him, but Chi preferred to stay out of the school politics. Too much negative attention, and besides, she liked looking out for herself much more than looking out for other people.

Brown hues were raised to meet his emerald irises, a small hospital smile plastered upon the Junior's face as he held onto his mango smoothie. Hopefully, she was not the kind of cranky females that got pissed off when disturbed. Hopefully. Cain really wanted to sit down and rest. To say the least, his body was slowly getting exhausted from all the fighting that he had been made to experience. As enjoyable as it was, it was exhausting too. And much to his relief, the girl nodded towards the seat opposite hers, giving him the go to sit. Cain's smile widened only so slightly as he nodded in return.
"Thanks."
And he would proceed to seat himself down, placing his mango smoothie opposite the table from where her coffee sat, the Junior clearing his throat in awkwardness as he realised then that he just made himself sit opposite a stranger here. He would gaze towards her for a moment, taking her features in. She was pretty, yeah. Then again, most Asians are. They have that... Natural fairness upon them. True, she was slightly tanned, but you get what I mean. He looked away then, not wanting to stare too much as he let his gaze traverse once more across the room.
... Nothing to see. He sighed, turning back to her then, before coming to a decision. Well, since he was here, he might as well, right? What else could he do in a situation like this? He straightened himself on his seat then, reaching forward with his right hand as he offered it out for a handshake, that hospital smile once more on his face.
"My name is Cain, by the way. Cain Aurelius. Nice to meet you."
Yeah, introductions was necessary here. Cain felt awkward sitting opposite a stranger and it would indeed do him a big favour if he could actually find a name to match her face. Of course, it would be rude to ask for a name, so he might as well introduce himself to prompt her to do the same. Besides, Cain was sure that she too would be feeling quite awkward then.

Thanks? What a polite boy. If there was one thing Chi had learned about public school was that 90% of the population was rude beyond all belief, herself included. Captain-boy just happened to catch her on a good day. Also, he was a pillar, there had to be a way she could work that to her advantage.
Chi took a sip of her iced coffee. Mmm, so good! She didn't understand a lot of people fascinations with those frappuccino things. Why ruin a good thing? Coffee, sugar, cream, and flavoring were all she needed to make her happy.
"My name is Cain, by the way. Cain Aurelius. Nice to meet you."
...hm?
The Asian girl looked up from her book to see him extending his hand in greeting. Another polite gesture, his parents must have taught him well. A unique name to match those unique green eyes. And she was certain that smile had caught a few girls in his day. The corners of her mouth turned upward as she reached her hand out to shake his firmly. One thing Hisoka Amuri had taught his daughter was that weak and flimsy handshakes were unacceptable. Plus they were weird, when you go to shake someone's hand and its like you're shaking a glove of ground meat. No, her handshake was firm, not bone crushing, but solid.
"Pleasure to meet you, Cain. I'm Chihiro Amuri."
Nothing wrong with getting on the School Captain's good side...

And much to his relief, she took his hand and gave it a firm shake. It seems that she was firmer than she looked. Cain had a stereotypical view of Asian females, it seemed. He thought that they were the timid and shy type, the kind that would rather shy away than catch attention. Darn animes. They tricked him. He shook her hand with equal firm, before letting go of it as he returned to his casual seating position. Chihi-what? Cain allowed himself to repeat her words in his head before he finally got the name. Chihiro Amuri. Japanese, huh? Cain nodded his head in acknowledgment, doubting that he would forget such a unique name anytime soon.
"Japanese, huh? How long have you been here?"
Cain asked, placing his right elbow on the desk, his fingers wrapped lightly around his cup of mango smoothie. A casual conversation could not hurt, right? Cain remembered the last time he had come here. He had met a curious individual too. A red-head named Damien Kross, who was a #552er, like Cain was. The two of them had quite an interesting conversation and Cain had learned quite a bit from the older male. At that, his emerald eyes allowed itself to roll down for a moment, before catching something of attention. The book that she held in her hand. His eyes shot back up as he gave an apologetic look.
"Uhm, sorry. I'm not disturbing you, am I?"
And he gave that smile once more, his left hand raising as he scratched the back of his head awkwardly, a habit of his. Yeah, he had somewhat disturbed Damien Kross too, for the man was a writer and had been working on a project before Cain had come over. Fortunately, that time, Damien had deemed Cain to be more interesting than his own project. Hopefully, she would do the same? Hopefully.

"Japanese, huh? How long have you been here?"
...!?
This would be a moment where a light bulb went off in Chi's brain. Her body language stayed neutral, but inside her mind was spinning. It was if he was ASKING to be duped. The truth of the matter was that Chi had been here her entire life, as a Japanese American. But this schmuck must think she was from Japan, right off the boat. Hahaha...Well, he already heard her accent, light but very Americanized. So saying she'd only been here a few months would be difficult to believe.
"Watashi wa Amerika jin desu. (I'm American.) Umm, a few years. My family moved here because of my father's job. More opportunity, you know?"
Lie. Her father was a martial arts master, and he did a lot of business stuff that Chi was uninterested in and didn't know much about. He could have worked anywhere the arts were prominent, not that America had more opportunities. She threw in the Japanese as a little bit of her own entertainment. Though she grew up American, her father stressed that they learn the traditions of their fathers. She could speak and write in Japanese, as well as knowing the customs, and their home was a traditional Japanese home...not on the outside of course, this was Cali for goodness sake.
When he asked if he was disturbing her, Chihiro smiled, shaking her head.
"Not at all! It's nice to have company."
She placed the bookmark in her book, closing it gently.

"Watashi wa Amerika jin desu."
Uhm, what? Cain looked at her with a raised eyebrow, a clear display of confusion as he stared at her, unsure of what to reply then, for she just talked to him in a language, though Cain knew about, was still foreign to him. He had never watched nor read Japanese comics, so he did not have a single clue as to what she was saying, except one word that sounded English. 'Amerika'. America? What about it? Much to his fortune, though, she continued, explaining then.
"Umm, a few years. My family moved here because of my father's job. More opportunity, you know?"
Ohh, so that was what she was trying to say... Cain pretty much could deduce a translation of what she had said earlier, that she was American. Being here for a few years, she was probably already an American citizen, right? Probably. Why else would 'Amerika' be there? Well, Cain wasn't truly American. He was actually half-English, his mother having come from Manchester...
"Not at all! It's nice to have company."
"Ah, that's good."
Cain smiled, nodding his head in slight agreement as he once more adjusted himself in his seat, as he proceeded to allow himself a few sips of his mango juice, before putting it back down, unsure of what to say now. Well, he had pretty much cleared the way for a conversation between them, and so had she when she closed that book. What to talk about now...?
"So, uhm... Do you study at #774?"
Well, it was the only school for miles in this city, after all. It was the policy that the board directors of the school had decided, that all the schools be closed and the students all be directed to a single institution so as to better use resources and also provide better control as now, their focus could be pinpointed on just one position instead of spread out over a large number of schools.

"So, uhm... Do you study at #774?"
Mmmm, small talk.
Chihiro nodded, taking a sip of her iced coffee before responding.
"Yes, I'm a junior currently."
Chocolate eyes glanced down at the badge on his chest before looking back up to meet his gaze. She'd already seen the title, but she made the movement in a way where he would catch her looking. She blinked curiously, taking another sip of her cool beverage as she appeared to mull over what she had just seen.
"School captain? It looks to me like you're a very important person, Cain-sama."
She mused, adding in the Japanese suffix generally used with superiors. Did she see him as a superior? Maybe...right now they weren't on school grounds so he had very little if any authority over her, but even still, if they were on campus, would she comply to his orders? Maybe...maybe not. It would depend on what she was doing, when, and why, and whether or not she was in a good enough mood to humor him.
