T[/size]he day was perfect, a nice breeze giving the bright and sunny day a very appealing feel to it. It was just the kind of day that Kevala had been waiting for in order to take the twins out for a day with just the three of them. '

Normally she would have had Mischa with her, but there were reasons for this being something between her and the two children she had given birth to and no other.....She needed to spend as much time as she could with them....It was something she and the voices in her mind had come to grips with.....Her secret, which had been locked away for so long was breaking free....thanks to those who had locked it away becoming selfish and forgetting their true purpose......

It made her sick at her stomach every time she looked in the rear view mirror at the two toddlers smiling happily in their carseats.....But she did not let her emotions show, it had already become clear that Kazumi had her ability to read others emotions, and though Aiden could not, he was smart, far smarter than any child at the age of two should be......

It did not take long to get to the park and as soon as they found a spot that was clear enough for them to sit upon the grass and play, the two were off.......They were very close....Kazu very small compared to Aiden....Yet that did not matter, she was strong in heart and he in build...they complimented each other and together they were rather threatening in play groups.....which was why Kev chose to just keep them with her........

Laying on the grass, her black hair falling about her, she laughed as the two ran in circles and then jumped atop her.....

"Mommy why can't we play like this more?"

Aidens curious icy hues looking into those of his Mother as he placed his small hands on her cheeks......Those eyes shimmering with hope and happiness....Something Kevala could not continue to give him....

Shaking her head she reached up and ruffled his black hair....A smile upon her lips full of nothing but pure love for her son......

"Because Aiden....Mommy is very busy lately and though she loves you both very much she just cannot always be there."

Again she felt her heart breaking, yet she turned away, eyes searching for Kazumi.....Seeing the little girl with bouncing red curls come running over.....She did not talk as well as Aiden, and Kevala suspected it was because he did all the talking for her, so she felt no need.......Then, stopping just beside them she tugged upon Aiden's arm and leaned in and whispered in his ear......

Kev could not help but laugh and raise her brow....

"Hey now you two, no keeping secrets...."

But before she had even finished her sentence, Aiden had turned around, as had Kazumi and both ran off.....Now she really was curious, for they both were very excited and that must mean they had found something to play with. Laughing softly she searched the air for any threatening feelings and found none, so she would set about trying to gather up their things....They would be going for icecream soon.....though neither should have any....just like Mommy....Keeping her mind focused on their emotions and Kazumi's soft giggle.....

Then, suddenly and out of nowhere....Aiden squealed out in a gigled and overjoyed tone....

"DADDY!!!"

Instantly Kevalas eyes shot up toward the twins...God please no...they did not need this now....but sure enough......there he stood.........Both the twins now looking up at him as though they were waiting on him to acknowledge them...their little hands clasped together in reassurance as they often did........

Looking down at both the twins and then over to Kev, Spike would force a fake, yet well played smile. With him was his grandfather, Lloyd. The old man wore his straw hat, and red wife beater, jean shorts, and sandles. The old man still remained his usual pervy self, even after having lost two sons in the same year. Though he had accomplished all his greaving, Spike forbid himself to greave.

Spike would give the twins a wave, and Lloyd would look to Kev.

"Long time no see girl. Keeping busy I see."

Spike remained silent. His eyes still on the twins, emotionless in facial expresion, but still it effected him internally.

Kevala smiled at Lloyd and nodded, eyes keeping on both the twins and Spike as she made her way toward them....Her hand reaching down as she lifted up Kazumi, a single hand trying to grasp Aiden who jerked away and moved forward, his little arms now reaching out, small hands opening and closing as he looked up at Spike with a curious and already somewhat hurt gaze.....

"Daddy?"

He was smart, smarter than most but at the same time, he was still only a young child and he did not understand the reason why his "Daddy" did not want him.........That lower lip starting to tremble softly.........

"Yes Sir...very busy.........Now Aiden come on...We need to get going...."

The boy ignoring her as he sniffled just a bit, another tiny step foward. Kazumi continued to look on, biting her lower lip much like her mother did, though her own red eyes were swimming with tears.....a little noise escaping her and causing Kev to reach up and brush her hand against the girls small cheek.

A gentle tone escaping as she sighed.......

"I am sorry Spike....I...."

She honestly did not know what to say at this moment.....

Lloyd's large form looked between the two slowly watching the events unfold, and finally He couldn't take the odd and very awekward silence. Raising his right fist back he would throw it harshly into the back of Spike's head driving it down and implanting his to the end of his torso into the ground, dirt and dust flying straight up from the impact.

"SAY SOMETHING!"

The dirt subsided quickly and Spike's right leg would twitch. A very muffled sound would come from the ground. nd Lloyd would facepalm himself.

"Sorry, forgot."

Grabbing a foot Lloyd would pull Spike from he ground and hold him dangling in the air.

"It's like gardening."

"Old man..."

Spike was trned over and set down, hopefully breaking the ice, Spike stood back up.

"Well that could of happened differently."

Spike began before walking towards Kev and the twins. Turning his head in curiosity much like a puppy.

"Whats with the long faces, did you think I'd never see you again?"

His voice had only a slight monotone now, but it was a positive influence to see the twins again.

"Kevala... I'd like to spend some time with them if thats alright."

Kev watched everything and flashed Lloyd a friendly enough little smile as she tried not to laugh. Aiden on the other hand was in awe of such a display. His tendency to get into fights having already set in, he was more than happy. Kazumi on the other hand hid her face against Kevala's neck and whimpered slightly.

With a soothing hand placed upon her daughters back she patted lightly. Turning to look at Spike as he spoke.

Though the fact that he was seated there only gave way to Aiden running and wrapping his little arms about his neck.

Nodding slightly, Kev set Kazumi down, giving her a little push. It was not like she needed that though. Because as soon as she saw her "daddy" she took off just as her brother had done, her little arms wrapping about his neck now as well.

Smiling warmly, Kev nodded and then took her leave, at least for a good distance. Yet she was still the paranoid mom and still very protective...Biting her lip she sat there, from a distance watching..Her mind running over the entire situation and thinking about what she needed to do....

Gods that would kill her.....But she had to try.....

Yet for now she remained silent.

"Daddy why did you leave!? We have missed you! We got to go to school this year. But his boy picked on Kazu and I had to hit him. Mommy said that I should be nice but I didnt want to. He made her cry."

Aiden pulled himself back and then plopped down onto the ground in front of Spike. All the while rambling on and on...Meanwhile Kazumi let go of her grip and plopped down into his lap. Not really bothering to speak as she normally did.

It was not unsual, for whenever Aiden spoke Kazumi just let him talk for her. It was just the way they were and she was content with just twisting her hair about in her fingers and listening to the two as she leaned back against who they considered their daddy.
