The roar of an engine could be heard, shattering the peaceful silence, as a dark figure could be seen barreling down the road, coming closer and closer to the school, as a motorcycle came into view, eventually racing past it, as another figure stepped onto the the sidewalk in front of the entrance to the school. Dark sunglasses reflected the sunlight, as Jacques stood looking at the school, wearing a dark blue blazer and dress pants, a white long-sleeved dress shirt, a dark blue tie, and black dress shoes, a black leather briefcase in his hand. So this is Public High School #774. Not exactly what I'd call pristine, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Jacques walked forward, and headed through the entrance, he had spent a few days in the city before he started teaching at the school.
As he headed towards the entrance to the Main building, he saw another figure ahead of him, as he got closer, he saw it was a young woman with blond hair, walking towards him, to his left. Just as he crossed paths with her, he saw from the corner of his eye, he saw her trip on a loose root from a tree and fall forward, and would've suffered a nasty injury, except Jacques reacted immediately, and moving forward quickly, tossed his briefcase to the side, and caught her in his arms, helping to steady her. "Excusé moi, ma chérie." he said, his French accent clearly heard, as he caught the young woman in his arms and helped her regain her balance. "Quite a fall you nearly had there ma chérie, you are not hurt, are you?"

Vanessa was not sure what her mind was on at the moment. She had been trying to plan for her class, and dealing with some of these students had been harder than she had thought. She was so tired of these kids that thought fighting would get them through their life,
Okay so she had her fair share of troubles in life, but she had devoted her life to learning and becoming better. Even if it had been mostly due to her Father and his dictatorship like upbringing.
Regardless what it was, she barely noticed the people walking by her or the sound of some of the male students commenting on her fine figure and short skirt. Honestly, even if she had heard, she would not have cared.
But something did catch her attention, that root of that tree that caught her foot and sent her falling toward the ground. A little yelp escaping at the pain in her ankle from twisting it, but already preparing mentally for the worse pain of landing on the hard ground.
Just then however, arms caught her, keeping her from becoming seriously hurt and a smooth french accent greeted her ears...With her blond hair having pretty much fallen into her face, the figure of the person who had caught her was a bit hidden from her view, but either way, she was grateful.
Reaching up to push her hair back out of her face as she offered up her brilliant and charming smile, finding herself now in a very awkward position with a very handsome man.
"No, no, I am fine thank you. May have twisted my ankle but that is all.
Waiting to see if he would indeed release her from his hold or if she would remain stranded in his arms.

Jacques returned the charming smile the young women he had caught in his arms gave him with one of his own charming smiles, as he helped her regain her balance and released her from his hold. He then bent down and picked up his briefcase that he had flung to the side when he had helped the young woman, brushing the dirt off it. "Excellente, I am glad that you are not hurt, except for possibly twisting your ankle, ma chérie." Jacques replied, as he nodded his head slightly to her. "Ah, where are my manners? I am Jacques Seran, or as the students shall soon know me as, the English teacher." Jacques gently took hold of the young woman's hand, as he bowed very gentlemanly to her and gently kissed her hand. He then straightened up, letting her lean against should she need to.
"Ah, ma belle, I think it would be wise to go to the Infirmary, just to be sure if your ankle is alright or not. After all, better safe than sorry, especially for one as beautiful as yourself." Was Jacques flirting with her? In a way, yes. He had always been a charmer and suave, though ultimately his heart would always belong to Victoria, for he could not love anyone else but her, and her alone. He belonged to her, and her alone, despite his flirting. "If you need help, it would be an honor for me to aid you, after all, I need to get acquainted with the layout of the school, it would be a shame if I got lost on the first day of my class."

Vanessa was not exactly one to openly want or request help and as he insisted she go to the nurses office she felt an inward growl rise up in her throat. Ugh! But none the less she figured if it would make him feel better then what the hell. Not like she would actually listen to the nurses recommendations anyway.
With a gentle sigh she finally nodded and accepted his suggestion to go to the nuse, her hand reaching out in a ploy for assistance. It was after all, his ide and he had offered to help her.
"If you do not mind assisting me then I shall go. I am Vanessa Vellequette by the way. The Mythology teacher."
She flashed that charming little smile she held as she tilted her head back just enough to look at him properly. Noting his slightly flirty manner and simply taking it in stride. She had dealt with it most of her life, and had learned to just let it roll over her like every other natural thing tha occurred in her lifetime. Not that he was not handsome, it was just the simple fact that she had learned that talk was cheap, and men very seldom meant the poetic words they spoke.

Don't get him wrong, Jacques in no way cared whether his help was accepted or not. He was terribly ambitious, and the root of it was, he only cared about himself. But he was also a gentleman, or, a better lack of word, a persona he wore, to get what he wanted. But he couldn't just leave a young woman in the middle of the courtyard, even if she didn't like him helping her to the infirmary. "Well if you rather just sit down instead of going to a nurse who'd probably just tell you to move as little as possible on your ankle, the result would still be the same." Jacques replied, as he gently took the woman's hand and began to slowly walk towards the school. "Ah, a pleasure to meet a fellow teacher, and probably one that could help me to not get lost in this school." Jacques noted her smile, it was one that, dare he say it? Rivaled his own. Heading into the school, he made his way down the hallway, but instead of heading to the infirmary, as one would think, he actually headed to the courtyard, before stopping in front of a bench, as he gestured with one hand.
"I believe this is a much better place to rest your ankle than a stuffy nurse's office, no?" If she choose to sit down, Jacques would help her, before casually shoving his hands into the pockets of his dress pants. "My apologies, ma chérie, you are probably very aware of my flirting with you, non? They say talk is cheap, and I would have to agree with them. Words can be extremely eloquent and very poetic, they could sound like Shakespeare himself wrote it, but if you dig down to the very root of it, they end up meaning very little and most of the time, squat." Jacques was no fool, he could Vanessa was an intelligent young woman who had probably heard and seen it all, especially from guys who wished to... well you know what I mean. Jacques on the other hand, was not one of those guys, as surprising as it may seem, he had no desire whatsoever, despite his initial flirting. "So, who else teaches in this..." Boondocks. "... school?"
