Vanessa had been at this school for awhile now, having been hired by the board at the last minute when another teacher sorta fell through. It had given her enough time to move to this town, find a place, get settled and then get to work. No room for extra fun or meet and greets with others who she knew worked here.
But, now was her day off, no class to teach until tomorrow and she figured she would take this time to introduce herself to the principal of this ground breaking new school. Or perhaps, re-introduce would be a better word for it.
Making her way down the hall way, she noted the way the children seemed to skirt past his door as though they were afraid he might reach out and grab one of them. Tsk tsk. Silly kids always thinking that the principal was some hard ass mother fucker who wanted their heads on a stick. Yet some of the boys seemed to be captivated by what they saw through the class window leading to his office.
No doubt some hot little secretary would be there to greet her when she entered. Men were men after all, and he was no different. Reaching the doorway, she shooed away the little group of freshman and then reached out with her perfectly manicured nails to tap upon the glass pane of the door.
Though of course she did not wait for an invitation. Turning the handle she stepped into the front office and grinned as those eyes fell over that sexy thing he had planted behind the secretary's desk.
"I am here to see Mr. Durand."
She spoke the words more out of courtesy than anything else. The womans eyes looking her over with a bit of shock.
~Yeah sweety, you are not the finest thing to walk these halls anymore~
She thought slyly to herself as she tucked her i-phone into her back pocket of her form fitting jeans...The tank tip she wore only adding to her beautiful figure as were the long flowing blond locks.
Of course the secretary stammered to find a reply, but Vanessa just held up her finger as if to silence her...
"Don't worry sweetheart. I am not here for your job. Sadly I have a brain and a body. I am not just something to be used as decoration."
With that she made her way past the desk of the now glaring woman, noting the look of confusion. She was trying to figure out if she had just been insulted or not. The thought was very funny to Vanessa.
But no time to dwell on that, instead she reached his door and pushed it open, stepping inside....If he was here then surprise surprise...if not, then she had time to go snooping about his desk. Either way she was sure he would be happy to see her.

Unfortunately for the two woman Thierry Durand was cruising the halls with a certain humorous bounce to himself. With one hand incapacitated by a briefcase and a newspaper in the other Thierry fixated an attentive glance on the headlines. It was curious how the press worked, only poking their heads out when you didn't want to deal with them. NEW SCHOOL OR NEW ATROCITY -Dean Thierry Durand joining in the many associated school body's supporting corporal punishment in their system, consistently undermining the rights of the people. Are our children legitimately learning to get ahead in life or rather how to cut each other down?
-Lesly DeVorski "Bitch..."His voice low enough to remain unheard as his skip turned into a pale walk towards his office only to face his new secretary with a shocked face. "I miss something?"-2 seconds later- Entering his office room he chuckled lightly. It'd been awhile since he'd bumped into good ol' sunshine here. Though once more it was just the past. "You really shouldn't judge so easily... Ann is quite the hard worker."

By the time he arrived Vanessa had already seated herself behind his desk and was rummaging through his desk drawer...Then the door opened and those eyes would shift upward toward that familiar face as he spoke.
Undisturbed by his presence she continued to shuffle through the desk's contents, shrugging softly as she paused to look out the now open doorway, spotting the filing cabinet within her view.....A little grin curling onto her beautiful face....
"Oh I bet little Anna works very hard. Tell me, how many times a day does she have to fetch something from the bottom filing cabinet?"
That slender brow quirked as she dropped her eyes to continue rummaging through his desk, not really bothered by the presence of him being there. She was comfortable with him, something that came along with knowing somebody since highschool.
~Honestly does he not know by now that I have him figured out?~
She thought to herself as she picked up a pen and scribbled over a note pad that rested on his desk. Well at least this one worked....
~Mine..~
Keeping the pen in her hand as she closed the drawer and leaned back in his chair, her fingers trailing over the comfy leather exterior.....
"Its good to see you again Thierry. You look good. I hope life has been treating you well."
She shifted to look out the door once more at the bubble head behind the desk and then back at him.
"But then based on little miss short skirt and this fancy office, I am guessing things are good."
Laughing a bit to herself as she leaned back in the chair and crossed her legs, getting comfy as she waited for him to either come in and shut the door or continue to stand there and look at her. She was fine either way.....this chair was comfortable.....

Silently progressing forward Thierry tilted his head with a calm controlled expression. His hand tilting back closing the door with a single movement. When was it that they had that falling out? Thats right, it was all Thierry's fault, leaving for military duty far away from home. A smooth smile forming in place whilst the guilt was still timidly set in the corners of his eyes.
"Oh I bet little Anna works very hard. Tell me, how many times a day does she have to fetch something from the bottom filing cabinet?"
"It tends to happen more often when a pretty face walks in."
Pacing himself slowly around towards his desk a bit more Thierry found his way behind his desk sitting himself atop it now between the desk and Vanessa.
"Its good to see you again Thierry. You look good. I hope life has been treating you well."
"I unfortunately don't have the same optimism, running a school full of angsty teen-agers isn't exactly my forte as you can imagine."
She'd clearly remember when they taught at the College, Victory Heights however seemed so long ago.

She watched him as he slowly made his way toward the desk, finally coming to a stop as he took a seat upon such and left her with nothing but his presence to overwhelm her senses. Laying her head back into his chair, she cast those eyes upward to meet his own, listening as he spoke.
Both hands now found their way to the armrests of the chair, freshly polished nails slowly tracing over the curves of the leather as she dropped her eyes away from him. It had been too long, and the sting she felt deep within her at his leaving still dwelled within her heart.
But that was the past, and nothing could be done to change that, just as nothing could ever change the times they had together. It was there, good or bad, and all Vanessa could do was move on with her life and try not to make the same mistakes she had in the past.
Then as he spoke of the school, she could hear the tinge of doubt in his tone, no matter how well he tried to mask it behind those charming eyes and that handsome smile..
It was only then that she would once more look up to him, her eyes locking with his as her hand left the arm rest of the chair and found its way to slowly brush her fingers across his knee....Almost like a reassuring touch, yet, something deeper that she could not help.
"Come now Thierry. You were given this position for a reason, you know that. Do not let the past hold you back. You have moved on with your life and now is the time for a fresh start a new beginning. I trust in you to be able to bring this place to some type of order. You always were very persuasive."
She let her palm come to rest upon his lower thigh for just a moment before she pulled her hand back. Eyes once more falling away from his own as she replaced her hand upon the arm of the chair....
"Besides you have your little decorations to keep you entertained. What more could a man ask for right?"
A soft laugh escaping her throat as she shook her head and leaned back once more into that chair.

A chuckle in unison however much darker his was. This was what she called moving on? What a fine way to look at it he supposed, blasted remnants of reoccurring spectacles that entrenched within his waking eye. This was but a demotion, something to be plagued and taken advantage of, he was now being taken advantage of due to mishaps on both the battlefield and his unfortunate approach to his teaching career, nothing had every been above par in his own view nor those of his superiors.
"tch.."
The motion of his lips forming a disapproving frown, not directed at her though the lurking of his eyes seemed to taper and glaze over slowly in effect. This had all been his fault, it was why they weren't still at Victory Heights ensuring actually people not some lakie students driven by sheer emotion. Then again, one had to start somewhere and high school was his very own start so to speak.
"Aye, that sure is the upside of life you could say." Shaking his hand lazily to disperce the clouds around his head Thierry looked upon his ex-lover a past fancy at times and forwarded himself. Moving on right?
"So Vanessa, how've you been?"

She rolled her shoulders lightly, a soft sigh passing her lips as her fingers trailed idly up his thigh...ever the tease even when she was not trying.........
"Moving from here and there. Exploring life..Trying to get all that which I missed out on as a child."
She then pushed herself up from the chair, her hand grazing up the inside of his thigh before pulling back at just the right moment, her body now directly before his as she leaned in, her scent mingling in the air with his own....A soft slowl brush of her tongue over those freshly glossed lips before whispering out softly and heatedly......
"Always thinking of you.....Of your touch.....Of your kiss......"
The last part said as her lips hovered dangerously close to his own before she would pull back completely, her eyes dancing over him in a teasing and slightly seductive manner.....
"But I am sure.....Bridget?...Mandy?....Whatever little miss 5 words a minute out there's name is.....Keeps you nice and busy these days...Or...at least til you trade up for a new model....."
She laughed softly as she flipped a bit of her long blond locks over her shoulder and then turned about to look around the rest of his office...what else was there she could get her sneaky little hands on?

Thierry grinned without using words for his own reply, well at least just yet. Rather than devising a swift and childish comeback he simply sipped at the brim of his coffee mug a grin curling up forming to the texture of the mug. Even as Vanessa played her seductive motions about the room, even dangling before his face the expression never shifted. Appealing as it was he knew her just well enough.
"Well it's more like 30 words a minute, rather one or two... A combination of 'ohhs' and 'awes' but then again who's counting these days."
Settling in that clever grin Thierry kicked up his feet on the table and leaned back in his large leather chair expecting another childish spat in return but then again she could surprise him with something different.

Vanessa listened as she took her little walk about his office, looking at different books he had and different items framed and hung up on the walls. Fingers brushing over such idly as she ran her tongue over her well polished lips. She then grinned, turning around as she placed her hands on her hips, her head tilting lightly to one side as her eyes fell over him.
Shaking her head she laughed softly.
"Oh really? Well I was unaware that she took dictations while bending over your desk. Hmm..I do hope you gave the poor little thing a raise after that."
She knew she was being a little childish but honestly where was the fun in being so boring and serious all the time. Moving forward, she took a seat in one of the chairs before his desk and leaned back, propping her feet up onto the edge of such and resting her hands on her stomach.
"So easy to replace me huh?"
All the while that smile never leaving her beautiful lips as she kept her focus on him.

"Oh really? Well I was unaware that she took dictations while bending over your desk. Hmm..I do hope you gave the poor little thing a raise after that."
Slurping down his drink Thierry snorted spurting a bit of his drink through his nose being very very hot in fact. Panting in short return Thierry pulled free a handkerchief and cleaned himself up while muttering a short reply.
"You could say something like that..."
Thierry smiled leaning forward unto his elbows with his left hand extending his mug by extension while his right hand elongated out for a pencil thus stretching out a little bit further to playfully flip at her dress with a smile.
"If you'd like to be my secretary feel free, though I suspect we'll need to find a new Mythology teacher, hard to come by these years..."
It was a trick either way she'd be replaced to one extent or the other. Yet another clever play by the commander.

She grinned all the more as she listened to his proposition, a little shake of her head offered as she sat up straight once more, her feet once more resting on the floor as she leaned onto the desk now herself, a few locks of her blond hair falling down into her face.
"Aww...I would. But then where would be the fun in that. Always more exciting with the chance of being caught. You know that. And surely there is no place we are more likely to get caught than in my classroom."
She grinned softly once more and then reached out and drug her fingers along the underside of his chin, just a very light, warm touch....
"Besides Thierry...You know you could not stand having me around all day. May drive you a little bit mad."
She then pulled back and sat there with her eyes upon him. That little fire she held dancing within her gaze.

Thierry scoffed slightly, a bit put off by her forward effects. A tease she was and he'd learned that long ago when they were in high school. It was by effect the founding principle of his life. You couldn't be hurt if you were the one dictating the arrangement of things and that meant; one nighters only, cold facade, no touching that lingered for too long in fact there was a long list of ideologized rules he could find common place but once again it was all too easy to pin a man when he lived by rules. Thierry however managed to live by the sole rule.
Remain invisible.
"Tch-" The quick purse of his lips as he narrowed the distance closing in to breach her space and kiss her perhaps.
Though he'd part them all to close, lingering upon heated breaths.
"Nows one of those moments, love, now would you get off my crotch....?"
He'd smile pleasantly settling back, and if the room was given he'd rise to stand stretching the edgy marks left by the folding of his pants. Aroused, yes but he managed to keep from sprouting the evidence. A grin of nonchalance.
"Anything else you came here for? Aside from bringing up the past?"

Vanessa did not move, did not draw in the expected heated breath as he neared her lips...she knew him far too well, and sure enough he lived up to just what she had been expecting of him. As he spoke, she tilted her head, a smile gracing her glossy lips as she pressed a gentle yet clearly affectionate kiss upon his cheek, just above his jawline.
She lingered there for but a moment allowing that heavenly scent of her body to surround the air around them and then as her lips parted from his flesh she spoke softly, a breath released warmly against his skin as she pulled her hands back and away from him slowly, making sure that every last touch that could be offered, was offered.
"Do you really despise me that much Thierry? Do you really feel the need to push me away so harshly?"
She sighed, feeling a strand of her blond locks falling down and across his face for but a moment before she pulled back, slowly stepping away from him and brushing her tongue across her lips, those eyes seeking his own out once more.
Oh how things had changed and yet how some things would always remain the same. But perhaps she was not the little wildcat he used to love and tempt? She supposed it was possible.
"I suppose I only wished to catch up with an old friend. One who I still think about regardless my travels or those I meet. But clearly that is not something you wish to dwell on......
............
Sorry for the inconvenience Thierry. Can't blame a girl for wanting to see the man who haunts her dreams. I just thought perhaps I at least entered your thoughts."
She then turned, bending slightly at the waste and grabbing up the small bag she had carried in with her. A soft sigh passing her lips as she stood and turned to face him once more.
"So, I suppose I shouldnt come back unless I have more pressing matters to discuss?"
Her form leaned slightly against the desk opposite where he sat, eyes never leaving him as she forced that shimmery and teasing look into them even though hidden behind those beautiful eyes was a sting of uncertainty. Not that she would ever let it show. If they saw you were hurt, they only worked to hurt you more. It was a life lesson she would not soon forget.

We push away what we want most.
So the saying went, a calamity which was Thierry Durand's greatest and most prevalent flaw. When things got too serious he treated them like a child's issue and dismissed it/ When humorous he sought to dash the fun unto the rocks fragmenting unity and solace. Why? Because somewhere deep inside he felt spite and malice for a world that was not his own, for those who got by with what they had and complained so he thought best to make a mockery of it. He was bitter. A bitter old man.
"Just let the past die...." Thierry mumbled with a sobered voice no humor nor a jest to be had this time he couldn't sort out what was real from the mask's he wore. Confusion was something he didn't deal with properly and the contrast needed to be thought over and treated like the plague.
"For the both of us.." This part a whisper hoping she'd be out the door and out of hearing range of the words. Bitter, cold, afraid. All things he was. And yet, all things he'd not show on the wall he build for himself to keep himself away from those who were on the outside.

Vanessa stopped as she heard those words, that slight sting she felt in her chest increasing as she let her eyes fall briefly to the floor. Let the past die huh? Let the memories of the only times she had ever been happy just lay down and bury them in the dust? Did he really think that she could just walk away and do something like that so easily?
Turning toward him, instead of heading for the door as he most likely thought she would, she dropped her bag down onto the chair, not bothering to be nice and teasing in the moment and only wishing to get one point across to him...One that she knew would only suffice in aiding in her own hearts agony over his words.
Rounding the edge of the desk, she grabbed his tie and jerked forward, her lips pressing firmly against his as she kissed him with as much passion as she had felt for him all these years, her tongue brushing over his lower lip as the taste of him lingered withing her mouth.
Then, just like that she pulled back, releasing his tie and resting her small hand upon his chest, feeling the steady thud of his heart beneath her delicate touch. Her head leaned in as she whispered softly in return.
"I will leave. Walk out the door and I will pretend whatever you want me to pretend...That we never met..that I meant nothing and that you meant nothing to me....I will let the past die.....Out here.....For the world to see.....But it cannot die here Thierry.....My heart wont let....Even if your own seems to be so willing to cast it away..."
She then pulled back, those eyes shimmering with tears she struggled to not let fall. Something she rarely did, always the tough bitch that people talked about around the water cooler between classes.....The one who was cold and seemed heartless and mean.......
Yet he had hurt her......and as she pulled away from him, shaking her head, a few blond strands falling down into her face, the thought that seeing her like this did nothing to him was just enough to force that single tear to break free from the corner of her eye.....
Quickly she turned away, walking past him to gather up her bag once more.....Not bothering to turn around as she sniffled once and regained her composure...It was not like she had not had this dance with her Father a million times in the past....Only difference was...it hurt less.....
"I suppose I will see you at the next staff meeting Mr. Durand. Unless of course I have a problem. Though I do not foresee that being a problem.
.......................
Is there anything else I should know about teaching here? That way I dont have to inconvenience you again. I know you are busy and all."
With her back to him she waited...Fully intent upon leaving once she was certain that their was no information about her position she had yet to be informed of. Move on......It was the story of her life.......Why should this time be any different?
