Cain... and abel, what a curious case, as the story told it. and what a name that is... Cain. he seemed like a nice enough gent when Jayden had fought him for pillarship, though he had been granted the title, Jayden was not bitter. no, that would be silly, not when there where 3 other pillarship positions he felt much more suited for.
So Jayden had done his homework, and studied the pillar systems of other schools... he felt quite comfortable as he walked across the school looking for their new captain, it was going to be a simple request, and he was curious to see how things would work out. his looming figure of 6'5'' towered over other students, easilyable to scan over crowds with no problem.
when he found him he would approach asking "School Captain, would you please consider me for the role of school newspaper?" a simple request, but very fitting for Jayden in almost every way. now would be a moment of truth

Captainship, huh? Cain chuckled at the mere idea of it, especially since it was relevant to him. He was wearing a white plan shirt under a black leather jacket, the School Captain badge glistening on the right chest of his jacket. He carried his backpack, though with just one strap. He was clad in a pair of dark blue Levi's denim jeans and finally, a pair of his black Converse sneakers. He allowed his emerald eyes roll down for a moment as he looked at the badge on his collar.
When he entered #552, he never thought he'd actually have even a touch of a pillarship badge, or item, at that. Boy, if Yuuki ever knew about this, he'd be shocked out of his socks. Cain grinned at that thought, the Sky being the closest friend he ever had in the hellhole of New York. He sighed, stopping for a moment in his tracks as he chuckled. As disastrous as #552 had been, Cain knew that he could never deny the fact that the school did him some good too.
He turned on his heels, moving to his own locker as he raised his right hand, proceeding to turn the lock, subconsciously stopping at the right numbers of his combination. Yeah, another casual day of #774. There was very little trouble going on, and if there was, Cain was, of course, going to go immediately down on it. However, he knew well enough that he was not going to be at more than one place at a time. He was going to need help.
He needed pillars. Question was... Who?

Chapter 2: Found
There where many thoughts raoming through the dark quiet boy's mind as he wandered the hallways. what would be his first action as a pillar? would he make a good pillar? would he be perfectly loyal to the captain? would the captain say yes?
of course to Jayden a yes seemed most intelligent, for one thing he had been the second place in the tournement which meant that he was the second strongest at the school... right? and if that was true, than he should certainly at least get some position, not to mention he was asking for the least interesting and effective one, if not used properly, and thusly he figured he would get it just because cain would have tossed it away one way or another. why not toss it at him?
at his feet of course padded his trusty companion dioscuri, the tiny black and white cat that followed him around everywhere, though now dio simply stared forward with clouded vision of confusion, not sure what his master was up to, nor certain that it was a good idea. Jayden wanted to run an incredible newspaper, hard hitting facts, and beautiful propoganda that could elevate the pillarship to its fullest potential. Jayden loved journalism too, so he thought it a good position for himself to be in, certainly suited to his style. he might even draw his own political cartoons, just to keep people entertained, and allow others to feature things in his newspaper, it would be absolutely glorious.
As jayden saw cain his heart skipped a beat, his nerves wracking upon him causing him to lose focus for a momnt. a deep breath
in
out
alright, good, now one more.
Jayden began approching the school captain, calm and collected, though not entirely in confidence, luckily his long black hair seemed to hide that he was sweating, his black gloves keeping his palms dry, and for the fact that he was wearing all black it would be just as easy to assume that he was sweating because it was hot out. Jayden looked up, the hot sun beating down on his face, warming his skin, and making the little sweat trickle feel cool. yeah, that would be a good excuse...
now then... just like we practiced, right?
he looked down to dio, who looked up at him with curious blue eyes, letting out a soft mew.
right!
Jayden walked toward the school captain, a handsome young man, though short, expecially compared to jayden's 7 inch height difference over him, he had a head and a neck above the boy. should he bend over? or sit down? level himself somehow to the captain. no that would be rude, probably disrespectful, Jayden shied away from the thoughts, licking his lips, his eyes shining for a moment, the brilliant silver and gold shining from beneath the black hair. "Cain" He said the man's name in a friendly enough tone, even accompinying a tiny wave to it, he looked around for a moment, and then stuck his hand out to shake, this was a sort of business-esque question so he thought it might be safe to start the conversation in a business-esqu way."If you'd give me a moment... I was wondering..." Jayden said, sounding quite professional, if only a little lost for the right words "if you would consider me for the role of school newspaper, I believe I would make a strong candidate for the position, I have a long background in writing, and I am very punctual, I could have a paper out as often as you'd like" Jayden explained simply, giving a few good qualities, and it wasn't like he had anything else to do, he wasn't going to parties or having too much fun, so sitting at home writing the paper seemed like a great passtime to him.
and now the question was out in the open, Jayden was relieved to have been able to get it off his chest, but he was now stuck in the in between state of relief and anticipation, both curious and slightly afraid to hear the verdict on whether he was to be the new school newspaper.
whether he was good enough?

"Cain" Hmm?
Cain turned his head casually, finding no need to get so hostile here. From the way his name was spoken, it did not seem like it was another person who wanted to challenge him for the title. And once more, he found himself looking at a surprisingly tall man, the School Captain being forced to raise his head to look up at Jayden, the man that he had fought with for the finals of the Pillar Tourney and had given him an incredibly hard challenge. Cain closed his locker, turning to fully face the man, a sign of respect from the Junior as he returned to wave.
"Hey, Jayden. What's up?"
The taller man's hand would stick out for a handshake then, Cain looking at it awkwardly. What was that about? Now, Cain saw Jayden nothing more than a respectable fighter and a classmate, perhaps being close to a friend too, having worked with him a few days back at Mythology class. Perhaps the man was trying to change that? Cain let his smirk return to him as he reached forward, gripping the man's hand firmly and shaking it, before letting go as Jayden then explained his purpose of talking to him.
The pillarship title of Head of School Newspaper? So that was what the man wanted? Cain's smirk faded away slightly as he allowed himself to ponder upon the possibility. Well, he did seem to have the qualities. Besides, he was a great fighter too, Cain having only attaining victory over him by a margin so small it was insignificant. And the man was well-read too, as Cain had noticed over at Mythology class. He was a good speaker, and probably a good writer too. Cain raised his right hand, placing it upon his chin, a habit he did when he was in deep thought. A stereotyped habit, at that.
At that, he passed Jayden a smirk, before finally opening his mouth to speak as he lowered his right hand.
"Well... You do have the fighting skills that would help, and I have no doubts on your intelligence and writing abilities. However, the pillarship title isn't something that I can just give to people the moment they meet the standard requirements, cause there's another thing that I was told to follow. To pick pillars that I can trust."
Cain paused for a moment, letting his words come to Jayden, before finally continuing.
"Not that I don't trust you, but this is something I have to think over first, alright? Tell you what, I'll consider you for that pillarship position and when I've come to my decision, I'll find you with the pillarship badge. Is that fine with ya?"
