Kale's right hand would have been knocked to the side, connecting with the floor instead of Cain's body. The pain would shoot through his hand, but he knew it would only be temporary. So instead of crying or whining about it, he would follow through with his plan and his left hand would eventually collide into Cain's face. A small smirk would form on Kale's face for the first time in a while as those dark brown eyes glared down at the kid, growing a little wider as the time passed. He coudnt just rest here if he wanted to ended this. So instead he would lash out again.
Kale's right arm would have cocked as he sent his left, it was just the right thing to do in a battle situation like this. And so his right would be sent down, a hooking blow in which he aimed to land on the left side of Cain's head, near his ear. Of course there was a problem with Kale's reckless style of 'I wanna smash his face in, before he smashes mine'. Sometimes he didn't pay enough attention to his opponent's moves. Cain's own right hand would collide with Kale's lowered head. Of course this didn't mean his own right was going to fail.
Of course Kale's head would be knocked to the side, his leg was indeed still feeling the charlie horse Cain had given him, and he hadn't really expected to lose his position. But instead of fighting gravity and trying to keep his mount he would roll off with Cain's punch, giving another roll to slide away and out of Cain's reach. He would suck in air as he rested on his stomach briefly before pushing himself into a crouch just out of Cain's range of attack. His left arm lifting as his forearm would wipe at the blood driping from his nose. This was certainly a good time.

And despite Cain's punch landing, due to Kale's superiority in positioning then, Cain was also made to suffer another of the large man's punches, the limb finding his left cheek and leaving quite a bruise on it as the man's head jerked to the side once more. This time, however, he was able to stiffen his neck quick enough to prevent his head from bouncing off the floor again. Cain closed his eyes for a moment, as he felt the coppery taste of blood once more filling up his mouth. Much to his relief, however, the punch of Cain was enough to send a message to Kale, as the larger male rolled off him. Cain let out a soft grunt, as he himself rolled onto his stomach, knowing that this fight was still far from over.
Slowly and shakily, the Junior would get himself up on all fours, his eyes looking towards Kale, passing the larger male a bloody grin, before proceeding to spit upon the floor of the basketball gym, knowing that it would piss the basketball team off. It seemed that instead of cleaning up the mess, Cain was only adding on to it. There were now blood stains all over the floor around them, and the floor that Cain had been pushed into seemed a little... Cracked too. They had really messed the place up.
And both of them were messed up in a way too. Cain was starting to wonder if the constant pressure from Kale had caused a fracture on one of his ribs, cause it was starting to hurt. Not to mention the bruised left cheek too, and the blood that was trailing down freely from the corner of his lip. Had he cut his lip against his teeth? Maybe.
"You're tough for someone so small.."
Cain would let out a chuckle as he raised his right hand, wiping the blood off his lips and chin with his forearm too, before slowly getting back up on his feet, his body slouched forward and his legs placed shoulder width apart, his arms hanging lifelessly by his shoulders, a bloody grin still on his face.
"Yeah, I get that a lot... You really are one hell of a fighter, aren't you?"

Yeah, I get that a lot... You really are one hell of a fighter, aren't you?
"Gotta admit.. you're pretty good yourself."
Kale's head was ringing as rested in his crouch. His right arm hanging on top of his knee, somewhat limp from his weariness. His chest was heaving quite a bit due to the pace in which they had just fought for how long, he didn't know. He would almost to feel the muscle exhaustion setting in. His left hand would lift to apply pressure to the top of his head, his hair around the wound damp with his own crimson liquid. For the most part though it seemed like Cain might have been a little more worse for the wear. But he had to give it to him, he was certainly strong-willed.
Kale's chocolate eyes would watch as the school captain struggled to pick himself up on all fours and then raise to his feet. The larger junior would grit his teeth and fight back his own way back up onto his feet. His body raising to his full height as he stared toward Cain. There was no way he could allow himself to look weak in the eyes of someone like him. When someone showed weakness, the battle was as good as lost. For now though, this combat phase would end. He was craving some heavy dosage of vicodin for this headache.
"We'll have to see.. how this would have ended some other time, kid."
The junior's breathing would settle a bit more, as the aches of his body started to send shock waves through his body. He was definitely going to need to get a little rest. It was odd how his anger had faded away in a situation like this. Maybe it had something to do with Cain, or maybe he was just getting better at controlling his temper. The pillar had impressed Kale though, he certainly had skill. But Kale knew that one day he would surely get the better of him. One day he wouldn't give up just because of a headache. Turning away from his battle-worn opponent, Kale would begin to walk toward the gym doorway again, swearing under his breath as he held the wound on his head. As he left, he would call back his goodbye.
"Catch your ass around the turf, Cain."

Cain struggled to keep himself on his two feet, the Junior swaying side to side as he fought to keep his balance. A single shove could throw him to the ground once more, and with that in mind, Cain knew that he was not going to be able to continue this fight with as much drive as he had throughout the first few minutes of the duel. The two of them were pretty much struggling to even keep eye contact. Cain wondered if he could still run at his opponent with enough speed to better Kale? Considering how much his legs was shivering, Cain doubted it.
"We'll have to see.. how this would have ended some other time, kid."
Kale seemed to have realised their situation as Cain did, the Junior giving that bloody grin once more, the expression disappearing momentarily as he took a step to the side, the movement sending jolts up his leg. Kale's weight upon his thigh has probably caused his muscle to press a blood vein or something, cause both of his legs were feeling quite numb now. No, not the nerveless kind of numb. The nerves-are-going-nuts kind of numb.
The two fighters were too exhausted and beaten up now to continue, the only thing stopping them from actually beating each other to an unconscious pulp was their newly-found respect for the other. Cain allowed his feral grin then to turn into a soft smile as he nodded his head.
"Yeah, that'd be wise..."
Kale would then take his leave, the School Captain still staying on the spot, unable to move his legs just yet. He coughed once more, blood splurting out from his throat, a soft growl escaping his lips then. Man, was he hurt real bad. Then, Kale left, passing Cain his goodbyes, the Junior simply being able to wave back as he finally let his legs collapse from under him, the School Captain staggering backwards, his back finding that wall once more, before allowing himself to slide down on it, his breathing heavy.
Gah...
He raised his right hand, hissing softly as he touched the bruise on his left cheek. At that, he would slowly grin as he let his emerald eyes stare at the entrance, where he last saw Kale.
Yeah... We'll finish this some other time.
