Rainy Day Outing (Kale/Open)

[Zen]

It was mid day in this new place she called home, though it looked more like evening...But that was simply due to the dark storm clouds overhead which blocked the suns rays from hitting down upon the earth. The sounds of thunder rumbling through the sky just as a flash of lightening lit up the sky...

It had yet to rain in the manner in which the clouds over head projected,l but it was drizzling, and even though she knew that she should be inside, she could not help but be in the park. It was nearly empty, what with the storm rolling in and peoples fear of getting wet...Like they would melt of something....

Seated upon the top of one of the picnic tables that lined the area, she could already feel her hair sticking lightly to her fae, the black tshirt she wore getting wetter with each passing moment and her jeans doing the same.....

She took in a deep breath...The scent of rain was her favorite scent in the world next to that of Cain....A calmness flooding through her now...Yes, this is just what she had been needing....

This was the kind of weather that Kale enjoyed. It might be odd to some, but the rain had always been rather comforting to him. And at this moment in time, comfort was what he needed. In truth, this seventeen year old was fiending big time for some Cocaine. Unfortunately he was broke as a joke. And being new to the town wasn't helping this either. He'd swear slightly under his breath as his hands opened and closed as he moved into the park which he had believed would be empty during this weather.

Kale didn't have much to do, his uncle's apartment was nothing exciting. Hell, he had to sleep on the damn couch. He knew for a fact that if he sat in there all day he'd just drive himself crazy with boredom. So instead he had decided to get out and see a little bit more of the city which he would now have to call his home. That dark brown hair of his was soaked by now, the long strands of hair sticking to his face. Those chocolate colored eyes glancing toward the gray clouds in the sky as the droplets splashed against his skin.

At least he felt calm for the first time since he had been in that bathroom with the other kid. His hands would move to grasp the sleeves of that dark, wet jacket and he'd drop it down to tie it around his waist. Those eyes glancing down at his 'wife-beater' which had taken on the hue of his lightly tanned skin color. Those faded blue jeans much darker then they were previously in the day. Kale's black steel-toed boots carrying him down the pathway into the park, a song came to mind and he'd begin to sing it out.

Kale's voice would sound amazing close to that of the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, just a sight bit deeper. Normally he probably wouldn't have sung out like that, but he had been under the impression that no one else was around. His eyes had been closed, and he had only known where he was walking due to the sound of his boots clacking against the sidewalk. Soon enough though, those brown orbs would flutter open slightly, and to his embarrassment Kale would notice that he wasn't alone. There was a female a short distance away sitting on one of the picnic tables. His face would harden almost immediately once he realized it.

As Zen laid there, feeling the first few drops of rain falling over her figure, she turned her attention to the guy who had been singing. She personally had liked it, but quickly noted the look he now held as he stopped and looked at her.

"Nice voice you got there."

She supposed in this situation that was the best that she could do, and given the look he offered, it was clear that he was none too happy to have had an audience.

Sighing softly she kept those almond eyes on him as she shifted to allow herself to stand. She was not usually one to talk or try and be nice, but after all that had happened to her since she moved here, she supposed that it was worth a shot.

Now standing she made her way toward the guy, though she was cautious..because yeah, bad things always seemed to find her....

Long brown locks fell about her slender form as she finally halted her movements to stop band tilt her head back slightly to look up at him.

"I am Zen by the way. You are?"

Nice voice you got there.

Kale had heard those kinds of compliments before, but never from a female as beautiful as her. Hell, he rarely ever let anyone hear him sing. The only reason this female has heard him, is because he had expected that he was alone here in the park due to the weather. How embarrassing was that?! Kale couldn't help but feel like he wanted to erased these last few minutes, but he couldn't.

And the female would stand up, and begin to move toward him. Those chocolate hues would settle upon her form briefly, traveling the length of her body before he'd shift his weight from his right foot to his left and lift his arms up to cross at his stomach. Kale had not planned on socializing with anyone on this day. He wasn't exactly in the mood. He was fiending for the drugs he was addicted to, and he had recently got out of a school that really didn't do anything but piss him off further.

I am Zen by the way. You are?

"A stranger. Didn't your parents ever teach you not to talk to strangers?"

[Zen]

She crossed her arms over her chest then as she tilted her head back to look up at him, her teeth capturing her lower lip in a soft bite for a moment before she would shrug softly.

"You are only a stranger until you introduce yourself. Then you move up a notch on the social food chain."

She grinned, not really showing fear though some part of her thought she should. He was a guy alone in the park in the late evening with a slow drizzle of rain starting...Not the best situation to be finding herself in, but then when you lived your whole life pretending to be tough you started to not notice the difference between bad and good situations.

Either way, her eyes stayed upon him as she waited on him to reply, the breeze shifting a few of her long brown locks about her face softly.

You are only a stranger until you introduce yourself. Then you move up a notch on the social food chain.

Kale's chocolate eyes would settle upon the female's face before him. She was rather attractive, he had to admit that. And he couldn't help but let his eyes wander as he caught the raindrops falling upon her skin. Kale's weight would shift from his left foot to his right as the brown-haired male's arms would lift and cross at his midsection. He wasn't really sure what to say to her, he rarely talked to people. Especially people he didn't know. But there was no one else around at this moment, so for now he'd stay there. Maybe a part of him was looking for some kind of attention anyways. After all, it wasn't healthy to be so secluded all the time.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt if I told you.. It's Kale."

The hair on his head was beginning to get soaked now, the rain droplets forming from the tips of his hair to drop down and settle upon the paved walkway with a piddle. His left hand would lift, fingers brushing against the scruff on his face before lifting to pat on his head. His hand slipping down to slide his hair down straight, before folding back with his other arm. His thumbs brushing against the now skin-toned colored tank-top. He still felt rather awkward talking to her. No one had heard him sing in a long time.

She grinned, her hair now soaked with the rain as stray locks stuck to the edges of her face, those delicate features covered with droplets of rain as it continued to slowly pour down upon them, though to her it was nothing, she enjoyed the feel of the rain dancing across her skin.......

Her shirt now clung to her figure as her tongue slipped forth to brush away the little bit of water that had settled there.....Then his name was given and she could not help but reach her small hand out, lightly tapping his arm before she moved to take a seat on the table nearby....

"Now, that wasn't so hard. Now, we are no longer strangers. So, what are you doing out here in the rain besides singing?"

She placed her arms behind her, palms down so that she could lean back onto her hands....Those almond hues looking over him just as he looked over her.....Hey she could look...no harm in that.
