A soft wind kicked up as Aiko stepped forth from her humble Japanese style home. The early signs of spring had begun to show upon the earth as the flowers started to bloom in the garden Mother had planted, the song of birds greeting her ears and lighting a soft smile to her lips. Within the air, the scent of freshly cut grass and newly bloomed flowers drifted about. It was a pleasant sensation as she inhaled deeply. This was a land very foriegn to her, yet somehow she was certain that she could get used to it.
Though the air did hold a light chill in its breeze, she had refused, against Mother's wishes, to wear pants, and instead had opted for the very American looking demim skirt and silver halter top. Upon her legs were a pair of black thigh high stockings and her feet were adorned with black combat like boots. She did however, grab her plush warm jacket. It was her favorite afterall, with the cute hood that held a set of faux feline ears.
Her Father then honked the horn of their very American looking Chrysler as he waited impatiently for her to climb in.
"We do not need you be late for school. Must hurry."
Aiko simply nodded, holding her backpack in her lap as they drove onward, remaining silent the entire trip. She was nervous enough today, no need to have Father give her a lecture from the old country, as he now called it. Eventually, they arrived and as he pulled to the "drop off" area, she leaned across the console to place an affectionate kiss upon his cheek.
"Have good day Father. I will see you after classes."
It was then that she opened the door and climbed out, the breeze a bit stronger here and lightly rustling her lavender hair with its long pink extentions which shown from beneath it. A set of mismatched eyes looking over the new environment as the sound of Father driving away could be heard.
She was on her own, and now it would be up to her to survive in such a hostile place. Something she must achieve, no room for error, no room for doubt. A step forward, and she was on her way. New school, new life.

There was something about a new life, or even new chances that changed people. For better or worse, often these were very minuscule changes all dependent upon the person's actions of course and human nature dictated a unifying course towards security. But then again we also have the need for change in our worlds that dictates the necessity for a new future however that was to be under our control as well.
Mondays were often the worst way to start such things. Mondays the time when you had a whole five days to labor through till the end was in site. Mondays where interacting with people day in and out to discover knowledge or imputance. Mondays when there was work to be done and your freedom had been drained from you entirely.
Uriel walked, for whatever reason, he had a car and many other means of transportation but he walked because he could dictate that. Others on the roads directed by street signs and terrifying youths behind the wheels could change your control to that of nothing. That'd be the easiest way at looking at it from a psychological stand-point. So it was that the dark-entrenched youth accented only by his blonde hair would enter school. A side road often overlooked would be his entrance, as he passed by the drop-off zone he'd not motion any interest however lift his gaze to notice things. People, their actions, their backgrounds, who they were and what made them that way. So many different faces they wore it was often that this is where they changed them and for an instant revealed whom they are and are not.
"hmph.."
The simple gesture and tone emitted lowly enough to go unnoticed before he tucked tail and stiffed the jut of his binder beneath an arm and made his way into the nearest building, empty luckily enough. It was an escape.

It was such a strange place, and it did not take long for the eyes of those around her to focus their attentions upon the small japanese girl. This was nothing like her home country. Instead of pleasant looks, she recieved nothing but questioning stares and unwelcome gestures. Much the same, she assumed, for when a foriegn exchange studen entered her school back home. One could not judge unless they had lived on both sides of the mirror.
Yet, it was all very overwhelming, and before her brain was aware of what her feet were doing, she found herself slipping into a nearby building, those mismatched eyes peeking out through the crack in the door she had left open. A simple measure to make sure that none of those prying eyes had followed her chosen path. They had not, and it brought a light sigh of relief from the tiny girl. Slowly, as to not make too much noise, she shut the door, turning around with eyes closed and leaning back against it. Perhaps some subconcious method of keeping the rest of the world out.
The silence of the room was calming, allowing her to gather her nerves as she felt shame wash over her. She had hidden away from people, had done the opposite of that which she had vowed to do. But it could not be helped, with every gaze given to her she had felt the sharp pointed stares of the people in her village.
Would these people think her a demon as well? How could they not? Her eyes, such different colors, her ability, something that scared most and inspired others. It was too much for most closed minded individuals to take in.
Just then, a sound errupted the stagnant air which filled the room; a steady pattern of breath which was not her own. Dual colored eyes opened, as they looked to find a boy there. Just when she had thought that she was safe, she now had cornered herself with a person who looked much more intimidating than those who had been watching her approach to the school.
"I am sorry. I knew not that anyone was here."
She spoke with a soft voice, her accent clear as day and her eyes lowering slightly out of instinct. It was the only respectful thing to do when you had intruded upon another's space. They had been here first and therefore deserved the respect. Teachings of Father ringing loud and clear in her mind.

From the time he'd entered the building Uri had a motive of movement, forward always forward to look back was simply a plea for failure, despite being at school there was time to work things out perhaps bump into future foes and allies, everything was like a chessboard to him easily arranged into detailed marks of wartime scenarios. This school would be no different than the ones prior.
The slow boarded cascade of the door behind him however alerted him of another's presence. Yes it was something to direct his attention. Shifting a full swoop about his grey eyes fixated on her small frame. It was obvious she was of Japanese descent and based upon the clothes she wore she was second generation perhaps even third due to their out there nature.
"I am sorry. I knew not that anyone was here."
Eyes boldly opened to a challenging degree noticeably peeked by the ideal of conquest. His arched back straightened in opposition to her bowed nature. The scenario working out to his dismal dreams, yes he was now leading this engagement in the simple terms he could relate to entirely in command.
With solid steps he'd cross the foray making the personal space shrink between them, being of European royalty he was used to this type of confrontation.
"And you are?" Uriel set his judging glimpse on her, a sureness in himself that was as challenging as his stature however not quite the one physically capable he could pull off quite the bluff.

She finally let those mismatched eyes lift upward to gaze upon the boy who spoke with such a direct and priviliged tone. She could tell that perhaps she was indeed in a room with a boy that was not the best person to meet upon first arrival at this school.
Yet she straightened herself up, pushing herself away from the door as she lifted her hand and pushed back the hood of her jacket to reveal those lavender and pink locks before bowing her head once more respectfully.
"Aiko Nakamura."
Once her name had been sent forth from her lips she chose to lift her head and return her gaze toward his own. Yet there was something dark held there, something which intimidated her even when he had given her no reason to.
"You are?"
For some reason she did not feel that it was right to ask such of him, but she did none the less. All the while cautious as where he moved and the manner in which he adressed her.
