Jayden sat behind the desk of the local Bansfield clinic, a small but suitable vetinarian hospital located conviniently inside your local petco
Starting off genuinely interested in helping animals, Jayden had starry eyes and bright hopes, but he had been sitting behind the desk for about 15 minutes now, and things where begining to set in. for one thing, he wasn't a vet and he wouldn't be helping any of the animals himself, for a second thing, he was the frontman which means he had to deal with the whiny owners of the pets while the boys in lab coats in back got to do all the fun stuff. Jayden sighed.
A balding man came up, slightly overweight, dragging a shih tzu on a leash, it looked up pleadingly. "Hi" he said, his voice husky and breathy, Jayden could hear him struggling for breath, clearly his poor diet had affected his respiratory system.
"Hello, do you have an apointment?" Jayden asked
by the book jayden, just do it by the book Jayden thought to himself as the heavy set man spoke
"yes, I need to see doctor cox, Kevin is getting fixed today" the man said with an almost sadistic laugh. Jayden's mouth stayed in a flat line, he found no amusement in regular procedure.
"Very well, please have kevin stand on our scale here" Jayden asked, it was his job to collect preliminary information.
"Come on kevin" the heavy set man said, tugging the leavsh, kevin simply whimpered and tried to get away. Jayden shuddered, this man clearly was not suited for raising this dog...
and who names their dog kevin? seriously...
eventually the fat man simply grabbed kevin and placed him on the scale. Jayden just rolled his eyes and activated the scale, the numbers ran until the number read 25 lbs.
25? this dog was being overfed... and that was not good for a shih tzu. funny it looked like the man would have been the one leaving nothing left for the shih tzu to eat.
"Your dog is slightly overweight, I would suggest dieting him a little" Jayden said in the most professional voice he could manage, the man just looked at him funny as Jayden wrote down all the necessary information.
"Sign here" jayden asked of the man, who obliged with a huff and a puff, the man smelt of sour cream and onion pringles. "Thank you" Jayden said, just walking through the motions. "alright, Dr. cox will see him now" Jayden said walking around the desk he took the leash from the man with no trouble, bending down he let kevin smell his hand and then beckoned him to follow. the dog obediantly kept pace with Jayden as they walked into Dr. Cox's office.
Dr. Cox had a sarcastic grin on. "By god that shit zoo is fat" he said jokingly, overpronouncing the shit as if it hadn't been a joke for years. "you should see the owner" Jayden said as he laid down the charts, Dr. cox laughed at Jayden's little snipe. One thing jayden liked about Dr. Cox. he had a sense of humor
