[jayden]

Jayden sat on a park bench, one of many parks established by the great city of san diego, huzzah! though Jayden did not share the excitement, simply a calm wash over his face, his mouth a pursed line of intensity, his seperately colored blue and amber eyes staring at the grass around him, some kids playing on the nearby jungle gym, people walking their dogs, of course forcing dioscuri to hide within the arms of Jayden, curled and tucked into his lap.

as the dogs got closer some would smell the cat, and begin barking, the owners would pull uselessly on the leash, yelling at their pet as if it would help. Jayden just shook his head, didn't they know? to control dogs you just have to assert your dominance in a very real physical and knowable way.

still, Jayden sat still, unpreterbed by the great amass of things going on around him. boredom would have been a good word, except for the glint in his eyes which showed a side of him thinking away as usual.

stupid people could be as stupid as they wanted, but Jayden would still give them some chance, no matter how often his gut told him to do otherwise

[Grav]

grav walked through the park, purple eyes bent on finding something to do. he was bored, way too bored for his own good. and seeing as how he was new to the area, he had no idea what to do with his time.
he fiddled with a coin in his hand and lowered his fedora over his eyes so the sun wouldnt blind him.

he noticed the guy sitting on the bench with a cat. a cat? what the hell? who walks a cat??? grav stared a moment and then shook it off at the sound of a dog barking at his legs. grav looked down and grabbed it by the back of the neck. and firmly said

"NO"

the dog quieted and went back to its business in the park. he noticed the dogs that walked by the cat would bark and the owners not do anything useful about it.

grav walked along the sidewalk by the bench. he noticed a tree right near it, though not close enough to allow conversation with those sitting at the bench, grav sat in the shade of the tree and watched.

simply observing.

as jayden sat, his silver blue and amber eye staring with boredom at the dog barking in front of him, one without a leash, the master only a few feet away, yelling futilely. the boy held his cat and showed no fear to the dog, only a unpreterbed angry stare that kept the dog at a distance, though didn't shut him up. Jayden continued to watch his surroundings and noticed a boy walking up, a fedora, and playing with something in his hand. curious, very curious.

the ironic hipster looking boy grasped the dog hard, telling it firmly that what it was doing was wrong, it calmed and tail between its legs ran back to its master. Jayden simply smirked, quite the show. "Thanks" jayden said aloud as the boy began to walk away to sit under the shade of a tree. Jayden knew how that felt, to want to rather just think under a tree, he would leave the boy alone to his own devices.

[Grav]

grav heard the grateful word of the boy on the bench, he didnt want to ignore him but he was in no mood to act the part. everyone knows how these things go, "thanks" "no problem" "nice weather huh?" the old back and forth of futile exchange. it was all soo... dull

grav was still bored and looking for something to do. he had his cards in his pocket. but had no money to gamble with, he had his coin..... well that wasnt enough to gamble with. grav was not happy. he stood up and stretched. as he did so his cards fell from his pocket to the floor.

"son of a bitch"

calmly Jayden looked over as the boy who actually knew something about dogs began to stretch, a handful of cards fell out of his pocket. Dio looked up, catching all the movement of the cards, launching off of Jayden's lap dio ran across to the young man, jumping up and swatting cards as they fell. Jayden jumped to his feet nimbly, running over and scooping up dio into his arms. "sorry... you know cats, easily excited" jayden said, trying to be funny, though he wasn't sure if anyone would appreciate animal humor like he did. he swallowed and thought nervously, he wasn't very good at this whole meeting people thing.

"Whats your name anyway?"

it was the first thing that came to his head and he said it, giving a little sigh, he wasn't sure what to expect, he had just asked a name randomly, how would someone react to that? he tried to think of how he could react to that, dfficult to say, depended on the situation. regardless this guy was a curious one, must have watched an episode of dog whisperer or something.

[Grav]

grav saw the cards being swatted at by the boys cat. he chuckled. he always found cats to be curious. as the boy apologized grav smirked

"aint no problem friend" grav said with the cajun twain he had

he picked up the cards and shoved them into his pocket, all but the ace of spades. he held onto that and pocketed the coin. he decided it was time for a change of object to play with.

"im caleb. some call me grav. you can choose what you want to call me"

grav tilted his hat back up so that his eyes were fully visible without shadow. "whats yours?"

grav saw the boys uncomfortableness and chuckled. some people are just funny when they get nervous, he seemed to be one of those types

Jayden heard the boys curious accent, sounded like new orleans, or one of the bad caricatures of such. he seemed to be nice enough, and even asked Jayden's name back. Jayden looked around quickly, seeing if any dogs had noticed the cat that had bolted only a few feet away from them, but they didn't seem to notice. Jayden made a mental note to not come to this park anymore.

Jayden's sharp chin dipped, looking down his eyes met the boys, he didn't like meeting people but he certainly had no problem with eye contact, his seperately colored eyes, one silver-blue and one golden-amber met with the deep purple gaze. contacts? maybe, but then with his own eyes as strange as they where he was willing to believe this boy had purple eyes, why not. the boy chuckled, a slight mocking laughtr at how obviously out of his element Jayden was. Jayden did not like being laughed at.

"Jayden, nice to make your acquaintance" Jayden said calmly, some of those mannerisms they teach at private schools like masters academy never seem to fade away. his eyes never looked away but really he had nothing else to say to the boy who chuckled at him. it only reminded him of all the kids who used to pick on him back at private school, and he didn't want to deal with that again.

Jayden's face remained completely unreadable the entire time, it was difficult to tell when he was angry at somebody. "anyway, I think I'll be getting going" Jayden said, not wanting to be laughed at for any longer and he turned to leave.

As the boy turned to leave, grav suddenly had a realization.

"hey wait, do you know anything to do around here. im new to the area and i have yet to find girls, alcohol or gambling.... anything you can point me towards to kill some time out of the day?"

grav thought jayden might have known something to do, he seemed like the type who knew the area. he also seemed a bit annoyed with grav.... reminded him of victor. hm. peculiar.

"i mean, if youre too busy thats alright too. just hopin you might know something...."

grav looked at him with sincerity. his purple eyes staring at jayden.

(OOC:Haha no worries man, also Victor isn't annoyed by Grav XD he just thinks grav is a little ridiculous)

"hey wait, do you know anything to do around here. im new to the area and i have yet to find girls, alcohol or gambling.... anything you can point me towards to kill some time out of the day?"

Jayden stopped, the change in the boys tone was... sincere... or at least sincere enough even though clearly he just showed himself to be quite the dog... Jayden of course was also brand new to the area, and he was not the kind to know where alchohol, sex, or gambling would reside.

"i mean, if youre too busy thats alright too. just hopin you might know something...." the boy continued.

Jayden turned so that their giant cluster**** of strange eyes could meet. Jayden seriously considered the boys request, it wasn't unreasonable for one to want to live life while they're young, and Jayden always wanted a window into such activity. if only to see what it was like.

"Honestly... you're barking up the wrong tree, I have no idea where to find any of those... but I'd be willing to help look for them" Jayden said with a little smirk
