Persona
Mentality: As mentioned previously, Remy is a bright young man and a very capable student. Not exactly a genius, but he makes good grades when he applies himself. However, he focuses on nothing that doesn't catch his fleeting interests...and when something does, he pursues it with a very high amount of enthusiasm. However, he is quick to take a path that might not be considered peaceful or noble. Remy is likely to cheat to get his way if given the chance, and he has a list of prior offenses with fights and attempted muggings. At the end of the day, the kid doesn't ask for more than what he desires, but it's his tendancy to impose his will on others that makes it so despicable.
Ideal: "I'll take from you what I want if you don't stop me first. Don't hate me, that's life. I get what I'm allowed to grab."
Belief: As of now, only himself, what he can see and what he can aspire for.
Hobbies: Exercise, stealing, the occasional book, watching professional fighting, fishing and schoolyard brawls.
Talents: He has good hands---he hasn't realized it but the same skills Remy uses to sometimes pickpocket people are used in some cases to construct something, take things apart, et cetera. He could take up a good trade or vocation if he could get himself out of trouble. Also...Remy's a pretty good fisherman.
Favorite things: The taste of a fish he caught after it's cooked, the high of taking from someone (whether it's a tangible or intangible thing), a good boxing match, his father and a bell attached to a ribbon that he always wears.

Aesthetics
Combat
Years Practiced: 5 years.
Description: When Remy started getting in trouble at school, his mother began instructing him in martial arts in an attempt to try and calm him down. All it did was add more ammo to his arsenal---Remy's perfectly capable of using good human instinct to swing a punch at someone, with some pushing and grabbing to swing the enemy into a wall or grab an improvised weapon. After that comes what he's learned to depend on well, which is his Judo training. Throws and the use of the opponent's momentum become paramount as Remy can easily go from punching someone's face in to stepping back and letting them beat themselves with the right pull and appropriate placement of a leg to kick some poor bastard's legs from under them.

History
For the sake of keeping this brief, let's say Oroto did that and after a year of marriage, Kuremiyo came along. The child was bright, happy and always pleasing to his mother, but until around the age of 10, something was missing...
Kuremiyo's father had taken up professional boxing, and in fighting on the world's stage he found himself away from home often. The lack of a fulltime father affected the son, but not enough to stop loving the man, even idolizing him. After all, Oroto was a champion across several Japanese circuits and was a top-ranked athlete in his sport worldwide. He was great at what he did and when he eventually came home, he would take his son and go fishing...
The idea of being the son of one of the best boxers in the world was grand. Problem was, few people could embrace the idea without the desire to take advantage. Around 8 or 9 years old, Kuremiyo's mother Yoroue noticed her son suddenly owning more toys and clothes that she hadn't seen before...after a while, she asked Kuremiyo who was totally honest---he was using his father's fame to get special favors from students. He was ordered to return everything and tell the truth that, despite his being the son of a professional boxer, he wasn't going to and wasn't even capable of pounding anyone's face in for not complying with him.
Annnnnd so the retaliation came from students that Kuremiyo (who had taken on the name Remy to feel badass) had hustled---at first, his mother deemed it a lesson for him to learn but after the first couple of weeks (and many a bruise later), Yoroue felt like her son could use some protection at this point; Remy had gone from a kid who had earned a punch to the face to an easy target. After all, the kids had it in for him from the start, wanting to prove that the boxer's son wasn't so tough. Thus began his Judo training from his mother---Remy found it useful as he dealt with school and the bullying, but he knew what he really wanted to learn, and that was his father's boxing.
However, the pedestal Remy placed Oroto on would soon crumble...the man had won a fight against a Japanese contender who was a known member of a rather large organized gang in Tokyo. That should have been a moral blow to the gang, which it was. The problem with that, however, was that it would soon be made public that Oroto had been a part of a gambling ring tied to that gang, in which several of his own fights had been involved. He had thrown some fights for the sake of money...though no evidence could be shown that he paid off any of his opponents, the ensuing months' investigation did show enough to prove that Oroto Nazawa was guilty of rigging fights. Though officials did recognize the fact that all of his victories were true and earned, his actions disgraced the league. In hindsight, Oroto could only guess that the crime ring wanted their fighter to win...they released the gambling records as payback for the loss.
Thus, the famed prizefighter was banned from boxing professionally. Remy was ridiculed by his classmates when the news hit publically and Remy was personally devastated--he still idolized his father, knew he was a great man and respected his skill...but his image of him was tarnished without much chance that it could be repaired.
Not long after Oroto was blacklisted from boxing, it was decided that the family would move to America. Someone had contacted the father about an opportunity to coach at a world-class boxing gym with students that still respected him. Yoroue would do her part and eventually open up a dojo for Judo and Karate which she also knew; Remy would be enrolled in school.
That was when the problems started---it took Remy just a week to get in trouble with his teachers. His mother and father were shocked to find out that he'd been getting into several fights at school and had been caught stealing. It shocked them more that the problems really started on the first day and that he'd hidden it. The boy was spotless...hadn't been touched. Oroto and Yoroue were trying their hardest to discipline their son---beatings outside of the ones Remy was already getting by faculty, taking away priveleges, threatening to send him to some military school...nothing was working. It was rebellion---Remy's idol had shown himself as having his own demons, and the thought of his father being anything less than great ruined him.
However, one thing remained solid and that was his desire to be like the man....at least, in his glory days. Many times Remy asked his father to train him. However, Oroto refused, only promising the chance to teach his son to box if the kid would get his act right. That complicated things, since Remy wasn't planning on cutting his behavior short anytime soon and had too much respect for his father to fake it.
Skip a few years...Remy skirted enough through intermediate school to be promoted to high school...which meant that he'd be going to 774. His parents were concerned; they knew how things were at this point with that school and knew it wasn't going to be positive, but let Remy enroll in the hopes he'd finally straighten out. Remy aims to make something of himself...and by that, he'll aim to be a Pillar, maybe even School Captain and bring 774 under his control. Maybe along the way he'll convince his father to train him. Buuuuut, who knows?
