Cant say that I'm thankful
It was as though the world was falling in around her. Home was no longer a home and her current predicament left her stranded in a large four wheeler shaped much like a Twinkie. Thats right she was stranded on a bus heading to God knows where the only thing allotted to her was a bag of clothes, her diary, and the bare necessities. As if they couldn't get rid of her fast enough.
A silent scoff as Elle pressed back the leafy edges of her diary shuffling it bag beneath a burlap sack she called her impromptu home for the time being. The racing coastline gripping her vision as she teetered outwards asphyxiating her forehead to the window that was held with a mixture of the cool texture and the immanent heat at the other side. She could have only dreamed she'd be stopping here, it was so beautiful after all. Her smile lighting up momentarily letting and airy hand travel up to touch the glass before the bus jerked sending her forehead into the seat in front of her.
"Mother Fu-"
She'd stop short grabbing the bridge of her nose and leaning back into her seat pained by the brittle contours. Her vision a bit mixed up as a burly black woman got up from her position in the driver's chair and hustling back at a lumbering pace to grab Elle's things. Confused and dazed Elle would raise a hand to protest only to be grabbed around the wrist, not in a threatening way but rather a leading way.
"Wait whats going on?"
"This is your stop Missy, San Diego California."
"No way."
Her fragile attention span shifted dramatically reverting towards the window rapidly grabbing the window frame from the top peering over energetically staring out at the fresh new wasteland from which to conquer.
"Do I look like I got a sense of humor? Now get out."
Elle's frantic thoughts would be cut short as she was jerked out from her arm and tossed through the doorway to the pavement only to find a squishy surface to land on. Quick to follow was her large burlap sack that probably weighed twice her weight adding to the concussion of said squishy object.
