Cant Fix Whats Forever Broken ( INVITE )

She was not sure how it had happened, she just knew that she had been in the park, running and then she had gone home. It was raining out, and she was soaked, so with the water in her eyes it had been hard to punch in the code to get inside.

The next thing she knew, there was a sting in the back of her neck and pain was running through her. She screamed as every part of her body felt like it was on fire. Tears flooded down her face as she fell to the ground, unable to move or think without pain coursing through every fiber of her being.

Carmine had heard and come running, only to find her with her knife in hand stabbing herself in the leg to try and relieve the pain the only way she had ever known how. Blood was everywhere as again she brought the blade down into herself. Not caring where it landed so long as it could make the pain stop. But it didnt and soon she was blacked out from the loss of blood.

When she had come too in the hospital, she was screaming, nightmares and memories once more set forth to tear through her mind and create a girl who was struggling so hard to get free of the binds that held her to the bed.

She was too far gone to realize that the wounds on her wrists, the ones created when she tried to kill herself over Gabriel, had been reopened. Everyone there thinking she had tried to kill herself, including Carmine, who had noticed the wounds when he had jerked her up to take her to the hospital.

Kevala had finally lost it, at least, that was how it seemed, and as she laid there, tears streaming down her face, the nurses entered, jamming a needle into her arm. It was not long before all she could do was lay there, her icy hues vacant and empty as they stared at the wall. Her tiny form unmoving, and all signs of what had once been Kev gone.

Of course, the nurses did what they thought was best, they called her next of kin, Mischa.....Informed her of the situation.....and suggested she come down, there were some matters that needed to be discussed with her. Matters Kev could not longer have a say in.

Hide and Seek

Mischa was vegging out on the couch watching old cartoons of Spider-Man. The side of her face was laying on a pillow and she was laying flat on her stomach with her hand dangling off the couch and into a chip bag which was near empty. Everything that had been happening between her and Kev was definitely taking a toll on her. She wish everything could go back to where it was.

She heard the phone ring. Did she want to answer it? After all who could it be? Mischa's address book within the phone was quiet empty. She slipped a few chips in her mouth... now her cheeks were bulging and stuffed with the junk. With everything she could she got up and grabbed the phone. She didn't recognize the number so she thought almost to ignore it... but heh.... nothing good could come with it.

When she answered she couldn't have been more... upset... broken.

Mischa set the phone down and stared down... empty....

The moment of the both of them in the hospital. Kevala begged for them to end her life.... she... tried to do it herself...

Mischa finally was able to get off the couch..lifelessly she grabbed for the keys and left without a coat and entered a car...driving slowly down the streets.

She was shown to the room... Mischa exhaled before opening the door to see Kev...especially in that condition.

"Hey..." her voice was quiet... she...couldn't really speak nor think at a moment like this... it was passed the point of crying it was so shocking.

All this time Kevala should have focused on her own happiness... not everyone else's... she wasn't paying attention to how hurt she was... She went beyond the line of duty to make sure no one she cared about got in harms way.... even went as far as to make fricken items that turned off when Mischa was around... it was unnecessary... gambling her health for everyone else... and here she was..

She would approach the bed and to see that she was bound to it... she understood why and how Kev got.... that and she just tried killing herself...you could never be too careful.

"...They... think you... should be in rehabilitation..." Mischa would sit down and start over at her... "...and... I think that... it might be a good idea..."

A light knocking at the door.

"Can i come in?"

He was unsure, exactly, what she was doing here, what he was doing here, what was going on- all he knew was that she was hurt. After they had fought, she had never called, never got back to him about that dinner. He didn't begrudge her for it- the life of a Captain was a busy one. But now, as he saw her laying there, curiosity took him. Had someone else beat her into such a bad shape that she was forced to come here? And what had this strange girl meant by a rehab center?

His hands were in his pockets, his black Tshirt giving a sort of nostalgic, out of school experience. He walked around to the other side of the bed, looking at the female who stared lovingly at Kevela. Was this her sister? He didn't know. All he knew was that Kevela needed him now, and he would answer the call. He pulled up a chair, sliding it across the floor as he watched the young captains face for any sign of life. He would look to Mischa.

"What happened?"

She was vaguely aware of what was going on around her, she knew Mischa was there, and then the sound of another familiar voice entered the room. It was enough to make her tremble as she tried to form the words, to try and tell them that she didnt do this, not all of it.

But she couldn't. They were going to lock her away, the biggest fear she had always had, to be caged like an animal away from everything she ever knew.

Yet as she tried to form the words, only whimpers escaped. Tears flooding her eyes. Finally, she would give up, she did not have it in her to keep doing this, the medicine they gave her made sure of that, yet still she managed to look at Mischa with pleading eyes. Trying to beg her not to let them lock her away.......trying to get through to her some how......

Then David.....Gods, if she could just tell him.....Looking at him, she could only shake her head. It was not much, and if he knew her better, if he had truly known her, he could have seen in her eyes and in that simple gesture that she had not done this. That there was something wrong.....but she knew, that the chances of that were slim.....The only one who knew her that well, who knew that Kev never gave up, was no where to be found and she doubted she would be seeing him again......

So, all she could do, was use her hand, that was only able to move a few inches, to lift upward and point from David to a bag that laid on the table across the room in front of her.

If he did as she hoped, taking the time to get the bag and look inside, he would see that every item she owned was in there. All but the school captain gloves which she had surrendered to Jayr.

Once he had the bag, she would nod once toward him, and then in a yes fashion.....

She wanted him to have them. She believed that of all people he could make the most of those items and he could do the most good. God she hoped that at least something good could come of this, because she feared she may never come back.....

Tears continuing to streak down her face, she turned to Mischa, shaking her head and pleading with her eyes to just make her see, just pray she could see that Kev didnt want to go. She couldnt be locked up, it would kill her......

But still..........nothing but silence......

Mischa looked down at those eyes... her lower lip quivering... Kev had several fears and Mischa knew them..most of them.... but... but she didn't want Kev to hurt herself. Mischa thought she had convinced her not to kill herself when they were in the hospital... That Kev wasn't the only one she would be killing.

A boy came in.... someone who she had not known... He asked if he could come in but Mischa ignored him.... focused on Kev...even if Kev was no longer looking at her but the boy...giving him silent directions to the bag.

Tears started flowing down her face... she wanted Kev to speak... say something...

She wanted to throw up...wanted to faint... wanted to climb on the bed with Kev and just close her eyes back to the way things were... where a simple hug would rid the nightmares...rid the all the fears and tears... but Mischa knew that wasn't the case anymore...

Small whimpers would be heard from Mischa as she reached for Kev's face to stroke it....still not paying any attention to the boy who had entered... nothing was there...no one was there... Just Kev.

"Baby..... I'm sorry... so so sorry..." she remembered being drunk. She blacked out but there were parts that she remembered... something that dramatic she remembered... "I love you.... more than anything or anyone... and it will stay that way.... and I don't want to see you go... I know you won't want to be committed.. but... but if it helps you I...I want it for you.. I didn't want to go to rehab... but I did it for you.. to get better for you... even after you...you left me...everything I do is for you..." she would wipe at her eyes with her free hand. "again... I love you and I'm sorry...I think... that you should get help..." the attempted suicide wasn't the only thing Kev needed to work on.. she needed to focus on herself.... break her personalities... stop the homicides...

He stared at her face as he took the bag- watching her expression and eyes, her lips and body. Unable to speak, yet her head and tear ducts worked fine. A strange drug they had her on, it was. But he said nothing aloud, instead looking down at her wrists. Slashed terribly. His eyebrows drew down as he leaned closer, gently touching her wrists to tilt the cits to better see them in the light.

They were facing outward, the skin healing toward the wrist, instead of away. She couldn't have done these cuts, not holding the knife in such an awkward position. They would be terribly done if she had, and would probably has slashed the tendons in her hand. He looked in her eyes. Dialated pupils. Something was actively wrong here... He stared at her for a long moment before touching her arm gently, leaning in to whisper into her ear, so none could hear but her.

"I understand. I will find out what is happening. I promise."

David had only made one promise, before. That was to Emily, to kill the one who raped her.

He always kept his promises.

He would turn, carrying the bag and touching Mischas shoulder gently before he left, giving his condolences. He had some things to look in to, some people to speak with.

Being owner of the largest weapons and drug manufacturer in the world sorta had its perks.

Every word that Mischa said tore Kevala apart more and more. Inside her head she was screaming, trying to get the truth out, to tell her that this was not her fault, that she had not done this. But still nothing came out and as the tears continued to fall, she could do nothing but whimper.

As her attention briefly shifted back to David, feeling his touch upon her arm, his focus on those cuts on her wrist, she begged inside her mind for him to not believe the lie that everyone was believing...Begged that somebody would realize she was not that weak. She watches his brow furrow and the smallest glint of hope flooded her mind.

Yet he said nothing, at least not out loud. But then he leaned in, his breath falling against her as those words were whispered into her ear. More tears flooded her eyes as she saw him retrieve her stuff and then start to leave. Fear consuming her.

She was not going to get out of this, he had promised, but how long would it take? How long would she have to suffer this and how long would she be able to hold out?

Turning back to Mischa she whimpered more, trying to jerk against the restraints by barely able to move at all. There was no getting out of this one, and as she closed her eyes, the fear of what was to come consumed her...............

"I will fix it......I wont hurt anyone anymore"

Those words from the night she was drunk and with Kev rang inside her head. She never thought that this was what she meant... she thought Kev could be stronger... she had been so strong and been through much more...

She flinched when she saw the boy examine her arms. It pained her to see those scars reopened... She never thought they would be... the stabs in her leg.... that was off. Mischa witnessed Kev stab herself in the thigh a couple times... it wasn't her way of killing herself those times.... it was... protecting her... or... putting aside something within her mind.. which in the past was Sasha...

Kev didn't say anything... just stared up at her...whimpering.. Mischa shrugged off the hand that was placed on her shoulder. No pat of the shoulder was going to make her feel better... nothing was going to make her feel better....

She didn't want to sound selfish.... but she was blaming herself over the attempted suicide... from what she said the night she had too much to drink and was getting frustrated...

"Miss. Badoer... Visiting hours are over... If you would...we would like a word with you."

Mischa nodded and the nurse left to let them have their goodbyes.

"I'm sorry, baby... I have to go... I... I want you to get better..." she would stand up and brush the hair from Kev's face like she would late at night... Then she would lean in pressing a sincere and soft kiss to her chapped lips. "I love you..."

Mischa would leave the room wiping at the tears that would not stop... she closed the door to see a small handful of doctors that she had recognized from several visits all swarm her. "We... would like you to sign the papers to have her committed... We... need your signature 'cause we know this is what Miss. Katashi needs... but you and I both know she won't commit herself..." Mischa was handed a clip board and a pen. She read over the terms of agreement and then finally stared blankly at the dotted line.

"I...Don't want to make this decision for her..." Mischa would hold out the clipboard for them to take it back..though no one made a move.

"Miss. Badoer. We are all familiar with your quest to be back... you survived had you not? You are all and well... we want the same for Kev... did you want to go to rehab? Of course not who wants to? We need someone to make the right choice for Kevala or it is too late."

Mischa's hand receded still holding the clipboard before looking down at it again. She let out a few heaves of breath from crying. "She will be well in no time.." Mischa would look up and nod before signing her name with shaky fingers.... She looked back up and returned the papers. She would watch as their comforting smiles would come to their lips...though doing nothing to cheer Mischa up. "You made a good choice."

Mischa nodded pushing passed them to head out for the door.

"I hope so..." Mischa would mumble under her breath.
