He would pass through a crowd of students and make his way to a near empty hall. Now, things for the guy were never exactly great, but so far, this day was going by quite well; no one tried to kill him yet. That was odd. It usually always happened in New York.. What was so different here? Well, mayhaps the people were calm or something. He certainly didn't know, but he wasn't about to complain about it. In fact, it was a reason for him to hold up his grin. Wait, where was I? Oh, yes. The empty hall. It doesn't have much relevance to anything, he's just out of the crowd now. Oddly enough, what's the first thing he does when he leaves the large mass of people? He forgets to find his way around a single person. Result? Bodies make contact, receiver of the 'attack' would hopefully not be phased too much.. Crap.. Way to ruin an okay moment..[/ul]

Cheer is what we're missing.
Innocently enough Jayr would cross through the halls just like any other day, the same way she had even before the titles, the fighters, the chaotic side life because quite honestly she scorned it. There was no honor in titles but the people you had behind it and right now she had next to none which she feared was a result of failing. Biting at the back end of her pen cap with books clustered between both hands and her bossism Jayr held a meandering pace through the halls quite literally called a simple stride. The heels made it that much more evident as the deafening clicks and clacks slapped the floor and pressed her march onward.
"Hey there."
Her eyes would quickly channel upwards out of curiosity, she'd smile in return not realizing that the welcome was not for her but the bitter encirclement of odd stares focused on a new student. But she'd take it as such nonetheless continuing her walk offering a small wave and a smile.
Then she'd slowly turn to realize like a blonde catching onto a sexual innuendo that he wasn't changing his course, and at the speed she was going nor was she. The cataclysm was monstrous as the books in her hands splattered about causing a mess, her pen shooting off like a bottle rocket and Jayr's touch finding the floor painfully so.
Crap.. Way to ruin an okay moment..
"Ouch... Sorry?" She tried apologizing but with a slight tint of attitude showing it was a mix of 'watch where you're walking' and a sincere apology.

[OoC: Sorry for the delay.] Well now, several things ran through the Hero's mind at this moment. Too many to actually point out anything specific, since it was as if they all ran into each other and created a muddled pool of.. Muddle?
"I'm really sorry," he would speak with his gruff, though innocent tone. Great move, big guy. You caused shit already.. "Here," he extended a hand for her, unsure of whether or not she'd take it. He felt he made a horrid first impression. Those commonly sucked. If that were the case, he'd try to mend it in any way possible. Damn, this sucks.. Take the hand, please.
You could say that, in a way, the kid felt panicked. He did, however, try to play it off like he usually did; with a grin that seemed far too welcoming and confident. Did the two really mix well?[/ul]

Second Guesses.
Jayr looked up from the floor thanking God she'd decided on wearing jeans today as opposed to a dress because otherwise she'd have certainly flashed the new arrival. Closing her legs in a very lady-like manner Jayr would lean forward on her center so that her legs would jut out to the sides still briefly poking her with the end of her heels.
"Oh, uh.. I didn't mean to say that out loud." Jayr didn't pay the apology half a mind as he'd say that, instead she scurried about grasping the papers still lingering in mid-flight making their descent to the ground level. With those grabbed she'd turn her attention back down to the ones littering the floor. "I'm really sorry, Here," She'd not notice the hand until it was right up in her face at an imposing distance, looking up however she could tell in his features he at least meant well unlike a few others who had forced themselves into her attention at the very least this meant less about them and more about 'them.' An innocent shrug and she'd accept the hand up taking it gingerly to assist in rising before she'd slap at her thighs a sign of knocking free the dust cluttered on them. "Thanks."The dull response only following her leaning down to grasp what was left of her papers at the floor quickly rising once she'd grasped them all forming them in uneven piles in her grasp. "Um Are you new here? I've never seen you around?" She'd ask with a light hint of curiosity. The simple fact was there was no way she could know everyone but she liked being the person who did anyways. "I'm Jayr." Another welcoming shrug as her hand would extend to grasp if he took it.[/blockquote]

She probably wasn't interested in that anyway. Why mention it? Well, why not? He looked down at her hand and, grin growing slightly larger than before, would shake it with a firm grip. Of course, his definition of firm was that of a bear hug to a hand, so he tried to do a little less than that. "I'm Mekiel. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Too bad the actual moment of meeting sucked..
When he spoke, his head tilted slightly to the right, implying a small amount overconfidence. Though implied, that was all it was. His hand would fall back to his side and retreat into his pocket. He had to think of something to say, or mayhaps a proper way of apologizing without actually stating it was an apology. No, nothing sexual, that's generally bad.
"So, uhh.. What's this place like? I was surprised when I came in that I wasn't attacked by everyone."
By this, he meant #552. Such a quick transition didn't make it easy to adjust.[/ul]

From Sea to shinning Sea.
Jayr didn't know what to make of the guy, a quick size up which took longer than expected granted his height she'd take into consideration just the type of man he was. Judging of course on first impression that she wasn't getting the hell beaten into her suggested that maybe the boy was a bit more humble than the taller counterparts of this school believing solely in the fact that size, muscle, and egos would ultimately make them the defining victors overall. So in most regards she held something of a general nicety towards him until he acted otherwise.
"Yeah, I just transferred from New York."
She'd slowly tilt her head to the side postulating a theory, though she hadn't really been curious before where people had come from she was beginning to realize just how many transfers made up tis school, it was an interesting enough ideal that Mr. Durand had schemes that included a body outside of its own residents but this in itself was getting a bit questionable. Leaning back on her hip Jayr would nestle in nicely as though there was a story behind this guy's transfer but no doubt she'd get none at least until she was on better speaking terms.
"I'm Mekiel. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Me-Kee-elle..." She'd butcher it horribly followed by a soft little giggle and her cheeks tinting a rouge color before hands went to cover them up protectively. "Sorry, I get that a lot too." Jayr was certainly uncommon as well.
"So, uhh.. What's this place like? I was surprised when I came in that I wasn't attacked by everyone."
"774? Um well I don't know what to say really other than there are some gloomy characters around these parts, figured you for one to change that up what with waving and smiling around the halls." Jayr would smile lightly socking him in the arm in a joking manner, "Spirit like that can get you beat up."
Following it up again with a sarcastic giggle making a joke at a few people she'd noticed taking their school reputation too seriously and trying to distance herself from them despite being her own brand of hypocrite.

Thank whatever superior being there was, the girl was awesome. She didn't have to do or say much, but Mekiel started to like her right away. Hopefully, she wasn't the only one around like that. A soft sort-of-half laugh would escape his lips. "Well, at least you're making an attempt. I don't to end up ruining your name." He hadn't met anyone with a remotely uncommon name in a long time.
[blue]"774? Um well I don't know what to say really other than there are some gloomy characters around these parts, figured you for one to change that up what with waving and smiling around the halls. Spirit like that can get you beat up."[/blue]
His mouth would fall open a little bit, still retaining his natural grin. His right arm would come up to rest on his left hand, as he used his right to scratch his imaginary beard. "Oh, really now? Surely my purity will protect me from harm! Well, probably not."
His left hand would fall and his right index finger would scratch his nose and fall back to his side. "Well, as long as things aren't as bad as #552, I'll be fine. If not, I'll just come running for you, Ms. Juh.. Jae.. Jay-err.." Well, he said he didn't want to ruin it, but he did. His cheeks would turn a slight tint of red, not too visible, and he'd scratch the back of his head. "Sorry. I kinda butchered it."[/ul]

The Complex Relations
Jayr would laugh in return of his attempts merely mimicking his own frame of speech he'd given her. "Well, at least you're making an attempt." A small wink in return to coax him on lightly before setting her books and papers aside at her feet a small finger jutting forward indicating one second before she'd enunciate clearer.
"Jay-er, Simple isn't it?"
A slight shrug of innocence as she knelt down once more taking up the books in her hand cradling them in the nook in her and and pinning them between that and her chest before craning her head back to see the fellow, it didn't help the fact that he was tall luckily she didn't appear anti-social by leaning back; that at the very least helped her own neck in the process of being nice.
"552? Never heard of it. Care to enlighten me? I always had a thing for stories."
Her voice was somewhat livid with excitement, a trait that fit her too well despite the fact that she felt it odd to pronounce them as such. Inwardly she'd consider the repercussions of her actions pertaining, maybe the story didn't have a happy ending, maybe she was just far too naive to understand the world continued to run on the foul tidings of others.
Then Again, Jayr never was the type for such ill tidings, regardless of his remarks or actions to follow she'd bear it and smile with warm engagement, "How bout we talk and walk, that way we can get somewhere in more than one way."

His left hand rose to his waist now, and his head tilted to the right a bit as he looked down. She actually was quite funny. Not in the sense of "Bed Pan? Peter Pan! Fly with me Wendy!" but the really simple kind. Get it? I hope so.
"Jay-er. Jayr. Got it."
His right hand would come up and brush some of the hair in his face away. Well now, she's kinda short. Wait, no. No, that's not it. I'm tall. Little inner conversations like this occurred many times, and served as 'ego boosters.' Just like the shirt he had that said yxeS yatS. But, I'm getting off topic, aren't I?
So, she didn't know about #552. Was he supposed to take that as normal, or a surprise? As far as he knew, everyone knew about #552 and the 'Devil Children.' But then he realized he was on the whole other side of the country and he felt quite relieved.
"Well then, you lead and I'll follow. Not from behind, though.. Yeah."
He would wait for Jayr to start walking and would do the same, walking to her side. To sum up the story of #552.. Eh, I'll just go with recent events.
"It's filled with lunatics, to say the very least. Hell, there's even a kid who glows and a guy who can suplex trains. It was a school where nothing really happened but fight after fight. It got so bad the government got involved, which didn't work too well. They built a correctional facility for the 'bad children,' only for it to be destroyed.
I'm not going to deny, though. Sometimes, fights were the only reason I went to the school. I suppose that was one reason Leon picked me to be the Iron Dragon.. But you probably don't know who Leon is, or even the Dragons, for that matter, huh?"
Boy, oh boy did he talk quite a bit.[/ul]

Keeping in stride.
"Well then, you lead and I'll follow. Not from behind, though.. Yeah."
"Wouldn't think of it in any other way,"
She'd smile taking on a crash course around the school, her pace rather slow like a meandering moment one step before the other never extending too far to be considered anything but a leisurely pace. As far as her reply went, she was never the type of person to put another down, at least until they earned her scorn. She wanted people to understand the value of leadership that it meant more than commanding a title and power behind but had with it the helping hand. And that was something earned from the ground up. Just as she'd started this day.
"It's filled with lunatics, to say the very least. Hell, there's even a kid who glows and a guy who can suplex trains. It was a school where nothing really happened but fight after fight. Jayr remained quiet for a short while giving her response to accumulate within her head as they crossed outside the hallways taking upon a grassy patch just out in the front lawn. She was on a set course to circle the school which was decently size perhaps something of a small college she'd expect. Or considering the school was both a high school and a college it was a fusion of the two.
However the thought that lingered in her mind was what would make a school be that maddening? And more pressing could her school get like that. Then she considered the talk of the Dragons. She wondered searching her mind for an answer to that one.
"Almebca Tnykuh?" Jayr would pronounce in an airy sense of the word, like it'd appeared to her in the dream she was sure she had just received only nights before. One called Nova engaging her in battle only to mark her with a brand and a language she could only describe as Gibberish.
Her hands would come up to her face composing herself as fingertips ran lines over her features careful not to congeal or spread her light make-up but just enough to provide a soothing urge. "I can't see what'd make a place that horrible?"

Jayr spoke what seemed like gibberish after a short moment of silence. She didn't seem like the kind of person to say random stuff out of nowhere(Not this kind of random stuff, at least), so maybe it wasn't just gibberish? He couldn't tell, and wasn't going to assume anything and then come off as a rude sunuvagun. The most he could probably do was find out about it later, if and when the two actually became friends. Did I say something wrong..?
"The place changes you, that's all I know."
He would glance at her, then look to the floor not sure what more to say about it. He'd gotten the gist of it, what else was there to know? Well, there were other things actually, but maybe he'd bring those up later.
"So, I'm guessing this place isn't really all that bad."[/ul]

Deep Recesses.
"Hmm?"
"Oh nothing just something somebody called me." Jayr would flaunt a hand dismissing the thought entirely, though somewhere in the back of her head like a buzzing nuisance the thought came, Who was Nova and what did he mean by all that.
Regardless her pace didn't falter last thing Jayr needed was something as silly as dreams or voices in her head commanding her attention, there were far more important things at hand. For one her cheer squad was relatively slow to bring up, not to mention her attempts at a pep rally. She had to consider the populous and how they'd react to a school gathering, the last few she;d attended were accompanied by fights. Unfortunately she'd require a bit of muscle on the side to contain measures or if not that influence.
"The place changes you, that's all I know."
"Mmmhmm, Tell me about it." A small laugh as she'd gesture up a hand sweeping her hair up behind her shoulders in one extravagant motion. It was reflex by now just to keep that long hair of hers out of her way but perhaps somewhere deep down she considered the flaunting motion an attempt at gartering attention.
"So, I'm guessing this place isn't really all that bad."
"Well theres a few fights here and there, though things are relatively under control." Jayr would say with a bit of confidence and her head rising with inclined burst of esteem taking responsibility to a degree.
"And I'm hoping it stays that way." A firm grin forming on her features as she'd back peddle turning so that she now walked backwards and was in front of him addressing as she kept tempo. "I wouldn't want any trouble makers causing a ruckus." A teasing grin suggested as she'd once again lightly joust at his chest.

Even his thoughts were almost speechless. A beautiful woman was rarely seen in New York. This seemed like one of the few pros about transferring. His attention would quickly shift back to the conversation, mostly since he didn't want to seem like a creep. "Oh, ho, ho. Well, then, I'm sorry to inform you that trouble usually follows me. Of course, if I start anything you can be the first one beat the hell out of me." He smiled calmly at the knowledge that maybe everything was going to be okay here. "You were witness to the clumsiness that is Mekiel, were you not?" Perhaps the bump -or rather, crash- wasn't such a bad thing after all.[/ul]

California Girls
Perhaps it was the sun, like the silly cow commercials there was something about the California air that made people....different. Be it more carefree and fun loving or just that need to lie out. Regardless Jayr had benefited her fair share of each, a healthy tan and bitting with good attitude at least most days. She'd stop in her tracks not sure whether Mekial would do the same, if he proceeded she'd plant a firm palm in his chest giving just enough of a force to stop him but not enough for it to be immediate nor forceful.
"Oh, ho, ho. Well, then, I'm sorry to inform you that trouble usually follows me. Of course, if I start anything you can be the first one beat the hell out of me. You were witness to the clumsiness that is Mekiel, were you not?" Perhaps the bump -or rather, crash- wasn't such a bad thing after all. "I'll be sure to take you up on that." A wide a devious grin that suggested more than something just skin deep, Her hand would slowly edge down his chest and back to her own position where both of her hands would lace together like a good Christian girl and form in her lap dutifully with a small pleading tilt to her head, jaw open just enough to see the serrated teeth that shimmered white against tanned skin. "I don't suppose you have anything in mind for this school? Plans? Objectives? Things of that nature." Jayr would ask innocently hinting at the fact that she was onto the matters than other people had, "If not I could use a bit of help with something."[/blockquote]

Despite his calm demeanor, he was flipping out. Was she doing this on purpose? Was she not? It truly wasn't important - or was it? - because it didn't change anything - or did it? Somehow, his willpower kept him from reacting in a bad way, and if he ever reacted in a bad way he'd probably hurt himself. Irrelevant? Somewhat. Unnecessary? Yes. "Well, me having any sort of plans all depends on what you need help with," he spoke calmly. Proud of himself, he cocked a brow. Of course, this didn't signify his pride, it was more in response to Jayr's statement. Make sense? Good. "So, whataya need?" Hopefully it wasn't for him to be the subject of cattle mutilation.[/ul]
