She listened, noting the way he seemed to change his attitude to something she rarely saw in him, something less happy and a bit more serious.
Biting her lip she would look up at him as he went about cutting the wood he needed, smiling that gentle little smile she had learned to be so very good at despite her own pressing issues.
"Hey. You are so lucky you know? Because, I mean, you are guaranteed to never be alone again so long as you have me."
She laughed softly, very serious in her words though trying to play them off as not being so. She honestly did not plan on letting him be alone. Not while she could help it. He was her best friend and that was more than she had ever had before. She knew too well what it was like to be alone.......It was horrible and depressing......Something she would never wish on anyone....Especially not him.
"So, I am guessing that this bow is gonna be like extra super awesome huh?"
Leaning back against the tree then as she raised her hand to twist about a lock of hair, her eyes falling to the forest floor, simply waiting on him. Content to just relax in his shadow for the day....

"Hey. You are so lucky you know? Because, I mean, you are guaranteed to never be alone again so long as you have me."
Guy smiled, his features a bit more mature than they'd been before as though something in him was changing, slowly always slowly as time generally was. Guy was growing up, however heretical that was in the bold picture of things he would just about have to live with it.
"So, I am guessing that this bow is gonna be like extra super awesome huh?"
Guy would smile up brightly at her with something like ambition in his eyes, yeah this bow would be special. Kind of his back up plan to the rest of the world in a sense, yeah that totally made alot of sense no doubt. He'd lived in the woodlands for a good long while but never had he carried a bow on his side.
Holding the arm of the tree Guy would pull free a small knife and sit himself down in the bushes.
"Yeah this is going to be a part of me."
He'd nod with that passionate look in his eyes starting at a project that would patially consuming him as he began widdling at the branches edges careful to make the outlining edges of the wood so that it'd be unique. Sure he didn't know much about bows, hunting, or adventures of this sort but everyone had a first time for everything.
"Hmmmm I guess I'd need string to finish the bow.... any ideas?"

Astrid sat down beside Guy as he did, she enjoyed that happy look in his eyes and was glad that she was able to put it there. It helped to ease her own worry inside.....She felt that growing up thing aching over her to, though it was less of an impact on her than it was him.......strictly because she had already been forced to grow up so much..........A few things already slowly dawning on her though she was still too dim to notice them.........
Either way when he finally looked up to speak to her once more she would shrug with that smile still on her lips.
"It all depends on what you want. Something traditional and handmade would be things like linen, hemp, rawhide......Or if you want something more modern and resilient then you would go with something like kevlar or dacron b-50.."
What? Her family was big on weapons. Tricks of the trade she supposed.
Reaching up to tuck her hair behind her ears, she would rest her chin on her knees and hug them to her chest. Content to be alone like this with him.........It was......calming and all too easy to forget the rest of the world.
