Getting down to brass tax

Jayr smiled in return driving just slow enough to be considered cruising which was odd for her seeing as the girl enjoyed the breeze running through her hair, things were a little different today, a tad bit lethargic from dealing with such bitchy girls if only even for a little while it was hard to imagine a whole year, then again she started this.

"Thats cool, I wish I came from someplace smaller, Chicago is not exactly the most pristine place to come from I just get weird stares all the time." Jayr would manage a quick giggle.

"How about you?"

Jayr shifted her head back with a little look of surprise in her features, she was actually asking? "Me? Well I kinda just started this up as I don't know, a way to meet people,"

Jayr would smile with a simple shrug edging up on the wheel, "I guess its my way of expressing myself." She'd batting her eyes a little turning back to the wheel, she had no idea where she was going.

"Can we eat there? I like their burgers."

"Mmmhhmm." Jayr would smile with a nod peeling over a few lanes without signalling before teetering into the parking lot with a loud whooping yelp of excitement.

The car's engine would slowly come to a stop and teeter out before Jayr would step out leaning over the top with a quick grin jingling the keys in her hand. "Hey I really appreciate this, and I don't know if you're interested but I've been meaning to look for a vice-captain of sorts."

Jayr would quickly flash a wide grin expecting she'd quickly pick up on the stealthy hint she'd drop.

Dylan laughed at her reason...not to be mean she just thought it ironic how the girl was looking for friends, but managed to round up a whole squad of bitches. Then as she pointed the preferred restaurant, Jayr swirved while yelping with excitement. Dylan scrunched her nose while biting her tongue in a smile like manner and held onto those handles that were always on the ceilings of cars. She was enjoying herself with Jayr...which was good. Though Dylan did tend to get along with a lot of people.... for the most part... It was only because Dylan was good in nature and never really wanted to pick fights.

Why fight?

Party instead.

They were now in the parking lot and Dylan left her backpack in the car as they both exited the vehicle.

"Hey I really appreciate this, and I don't know if you're interested but I've been meaning to look for a vice-captain of sorts."
Dylan flicked her wrist as if she were brushing Jayr's words away. "Hey now... You are making it sound like I'm doing you a favour by hanging out with yeah. I want this too... so far I'm having fun." and as for her "stealthy hint". "and me? Vice-Captain? You liked my cheesy ass cheer that much, eh?" she said with a laugh. "I will think on it... I'm not really...experienced with this kind of stuff...let alone crowd."

Dylan would head for the door and open it up..hearing that ringer that must drive the employees off the wall. "Smells sooo good." she said with a smile as her brows perked up. She approached the counter and ordered her meal... "Number 6 please.."

"That will be $8.30 please."

Dylan's lower lip twitched to the side a little worried with the cash situation. She reached in her pocket and pulled out a five dollar bill and the thirty cents. "Shoot..." she only had three dollars in loonies and toonies. "Do you accept Canadian?" that would be embarrassing if they didn't...

He shrugged...he was getting paid minimum wage..why would he care. "Sure." she smiled handing him the exact change and she would turn and lean against the counter to wait for her tray of food and for Jayr to order.

You've got me

Jayr smiled a friendly return something very low-key as Dylan managed to handle the situation very nonchalantly just as Jayr was looking for someone who wasn't all about titles and power and rather just about the finer points, Results. A sweet giggle in return with that slender nod in agreement.

"Well I see that you party," Jayr's hand would graze by Dylan's palm touching her skin briefly to contact with her bracelets, "I figure we could both go to one sometime, and maybe incorporate a bit of dancing into the routines, Sound good?"

Jayr would smile back as if Dylan had sparked the idea, because to a degree she had with her rather unusual first appearance something bold enough that the other girl's would've been incapable of presenting with their narrow thoughts.

Jayr would bounce again back to the upbeat and very unserious manner to the cash register with Dylan, the pair seemingly bi-passing the line entirely. And then of course Dylan getting by on Canadian money, how cute.

"I'll have the same please." Jayr would reply with a quick grin pulling out a tiny purse dangling from her wrist, sure the thing was ridiculously small, but it was so cute you couldn't ignore it. Besides its not like she had a tiny dog head dangling from its interior, that was freaking annoying. Soon as her order had been placed she'd grab the tray and walk off in an even pace towards the outside tables, she really did like the ocean breeze this place had. It relaxed her greatly.

Jayr had found the Raver Bracelet on her wrist amongst all the other dangley shit she had decorating her body. Then she offered to party. Well... Dylan could never refuse a party... especially if it was with a girl that was attempting a friendship..so far yeah... she was cool. Probably really fun to party with.

"Yeah! Sounds like a blast!"

She said with too much enthusiasm...scared the girl was gonna take her as some uncontrolled party fiend....yeah at times she could be uncontrolled....and she was a party fiend... but sometimes people just got a bad idea from it... she was a respectable-uncontrolled-party-fiend.

Once they had their food, Jayr chose a spot outside. Dylan had no objections she could eat anywhere really...as long as it wasn't raining out.

She sat herself down and unwrapped the heavenly burger. MM so heavenly.....

Dylan would take a bite and and swallow it before bringing up the party thing. "Is there any going on this weekend? If you're free that is..." Though knowing Dylan... she would still find something party related even if Jayr wasn't available...Dylan would crash a nine-year-old's birthday party if she had to. Just kidding.

P-A-R-T-Y Lets Party

Jayr flashed a wild grin, yes Dylan was down for a party sweet, now all that she needed was to find a party. A soft little chuckle emerging as she politely covered her lips to conceal such excitement and then decided to choke down a burger. There was a lot to be done before a night of festivities and she was really excited, it was made apparent by the quick bouncing of her feet under the table showing her anticipation.

"Yeah, well okay I don't have anything lined up now but I'm sure I can find something on short notice, besides we are two intelligent attractive women I'm sure we can gather up a few speakers and a DJ in no time."

Another quick laugh before stuffing her throat with another large bite of burger. Despite having a small mouth and a small frame she had a big appetite one that was fashioned for disaster.

"Hmmm lemme see...." Jayr would check her phone quickly flipping through the numbers, yeah she didn't know anyone too well but there were a few numbers of upperclassman who'd called her out to do things.

She'd wait awhile for the dial tone pursing her lips in irritation of waiting the thing out before the guy picked up.

"Hey, yeah Donnie you up for a party?" She'd wait awhile on the phone before her eyes shifted over to Dylan, "Yeah and I'm bringing a friend along.... Yeah she's cool."

A wide smile forming in place as she finished up the call, "Okay cool see ya later."

Jayr would smile setting her phone down and lying her hands across the table, wishful thinking was a powerful thing, and little associations of course. "My friend Donnie has a party going this weekend."

Dylan nodded with a smile as Jayr laid out the plans... well apparently she took the planning in her own hands and made a call. Dylan went to eating her burger as she listened into the conversation.

"My friend Donnie has a party going this weekend."

Her lower lip jutted out, her brows perked as she nodded to the news. "That was easy." she put down her burger and smiled realizing what she could talk about. "So Donnie is your friend, eh?" she would say laughing as she tore a fry in half and stuck it in her mouth. "Is your friend cute?"

Her nose scrunched up in her smile waiting for the girl's answer. And of course to keep making fun of the fact... "What do you guys do when you hang out? Friendly things?"

Oh yeah.... Friends were always fun. You were allowed to tease them.

Its kinda fresh

"That was easy."

Jayr would smile back with a quick tilt to her head the motion sweeping her hair over a shoulder leaving her free hand to swipe back the rest dangling about the front of her dress.

"So Donnie is your friend, eh?"

"Yeah, I just kinda met him the other day he's pretty cool." A slender shrug out of innocence of the situation despite the upcoming perversion of the rules.

A quick and sharp laugh from Dylan as Jayr could do so very little but giggle as well with her small joking mannerisms although slightly feeling pressured to confess her 'obvious' secret love for Donovan.

"Is your friend cute?"

A closed lip giggle as she managed swallowing down the bite of her burger, a hand jutting out to touch Dylan's wrist and calm herself. "Well, you know he's pretty cute, dark hair pretty eyes but yeah.." She'd smile and giggle lightly.

"What do you guys do when you hang out? Friendly things?"

"Now you're just trying to get a rise out of me." Jayr would shove her lightly from across the table giving her a slender kick under the table as she slowly worked her way at the straw biting the edge of it as she drank. A kind of nervous habit out of things.

She was having a lot of fun with Jayr... she seemed like a genuinely nice girl. THAT AND SHE WAS HAVING FUN BUGGING HER!! The girl just walked right into it...though of course Dylan received a well deserved kick to the leg and a shove from the brunette.

Dylan bit her lip as she let out a feminine chuckle. "Well.. it worked didn't it?" she would slowly calm her self from the laughter and finish off her burger.

"So in the midst of me teasing you, you actually admitted to thinking he was cute. How did you guys meet? Is he the school's Quarterback?"

She laughed at taking a shot at being a cliched cheer leader... though it would be hilarious if he was the Quarterback....

"Or is he a Geek you were partnered up with in science?..to have that cute Romeo and Juliet thing goin' on?"

It was all just too easy.

Things don't work out like the movies

"Well.. it worked didn't it?"

Jayr pursed her lips tautly and smirking over the fact that she was being played with, though somewhere along the way JAyr decided that Dylan deserved a free pass on this whole thing. She was nice, fun, someone she'd never run into before just yet. Things must be getting better now. A bright smile lit her face as she felt whole for once.


"So in the midst of me teasing you, you actually admitted to thinking he was cute. How did you guys meet? Is he the school's Quarterback?"

Jayr giggled lightly agreeing with own foolishness over the whole thing, darn how was she so easily played. Biting at the corner of her lip Jayr became entranced by the mental image of Donnie, stupid Donne, Jerk getting her mixed up like this.

"I said he was cute not my secret lover." Jayr would quickly roll her eyes and cross her arms over her chest acting like a locked chest all the secrets stored away behind pursed lips.

"Or is he a Geek you were partnered up with in science?..to have that cute Romeo and Juliet thing goin' on?"


"To be honest..." Jayr would peel away from her locked expression, "I'm really not sure what he's into, he seems kinda like the angsty musician type kinda." Jayr leaned forward kind of stuck on the issue now that Dylan was provoking her intellect and curiosity.

"Ooooh..Angst." she barred her teeth and scrunched her nose as she said the last word to exaggerate the meaning. She would stick two fries side by side in her mouth and bite down. "Those are usually the best kind... They are confident... 'cause what musician doesn't have stage fright? Umm.. he can probably serenade you." she laughed, "Um what else... I donno... they were usually mysterious... obviously he is if you don't really know much about him."

She would laugh and finish the last of her fries...now enjoying her beverage. "Be careful at that party... he might woo you." she said with a devilish smirk..following it up with a laugh. "I'm just kidding.... kind of."

She was kidding 'cause he could be a good guy...but she was only "kind of" kidding because that was highly unlikely.

Getting to know the spread

"Those are usually the best kind... They are confident... 'cause what musician doesn't have stage fright? Umm.. he can probably serenade you."

Jayr would laugh back amiably, okay so now she'd begin to lighten up and stop taking the jokes all too personally and enjoy her own exposure to the inside framework of Donnie's membrane though seemed like he was more blunt than anything else. Trying to come off as the handsome hero of stories and yet turning around and being a complete jerk. He rattled her brain sometimes to a degree she wondered if that was his plan all along simply to play with her framework, not that she cared just yet.

"Mmmmhmm, one can only hope." JAyr would bare a wide smile tilting her cup up to toast to it, to be Serenaded would be rather attractive.

She'd had such an event at her old school but by a rather creepy stalker who didn't know how to play so the melodic tune turned out to be him strumming aimlessly at the strings only to have the boy confess that he'd been practicing for two years. An honest and yet cruel reply back, 'keep practicing.'

"Um what else... I donno... they were usually mysterious... obviously he is if you don't really know much about him."

"Oh he's got that covered, enjoys being a dick about it too." Jayr would giggle poking fun at his expense and her own short lived misery.

"Be careful at that party... he might woo you."

"Hehe, well he wouldn't be the first, but yea enough about me... You seen any cute guys around I mean I know you just moved here but k'mon." She really wanted to know....mainly so Jayr could get back at her but because I guess they were friends now, this was good.

"I'm just kidding.... kind of."

She tried turning the table around on her now... Jayr would then get a giggle for that one.

"I guess I saw some lookers while walking around the school getting a tour from a boring teacher..." she shrugged. "That is about it. Don't know any names nor have I looked at a guy more than 4 seconds... haven't had the time... very busy day apparently."

She would sip at her drink and set it down. "Maybe hopefully I will meet my boy toy... then we can compare them in some form of sick game so we can gain entertainment at their expense."
Dylan would smile deviously. Girls were evil. She would reach for her phone.

"Wow... getting late..hey wanna catch a movie or something??? Oh... Um Wanna swap numbers?" she would wave her phone in front of Jayr as if to show her what she meant.

Jayr giggled softly, okay so for now she'd not be getting back at Dylan nor anytime soon for that matter but at least she had a plan in mind . In Jayr's mind they were now good friends which was an entirely new sensation that Jayr was only beginning to understand it made her smile.

"Wow... getting late..hey wanna catch a movie or something??? Oh... Um Wanna swap numbers?"

A quick shifty look to her own phone checking the time, oh wow time flew pretty fast. She'd return a normal grin and nod silently at a loss fo words if only for but a moment.

"Yea absolutely. Here."

Drawing a pen from her purse Jayr would write down her number on a napkin quickly handing it across the table and rising to stand. "You need a ride? Otherwise I guess I'll see you later." She'd smile and shrug widely.

She grabbed the piece of paper with a smile and stuck it in her back pocket, giving herself a reminder not to wash her pants without taking it out.

"Um.. ride?" she didn't want her to see the apartment she lived in. "I will just walk.. It's not far from here..I just need my bag."

Now once they would leave she would collect her stuff and say goodbye to her new pal. Man.... what an eventful day. First she became something she never thought she would be...then she got an unlikely friend... whats tomorrow? Pigs flying and hell freezing? With today's events she wouldn't be the least bit surprised if those two impossible things happened.
