It was some time after they had fallen asleep, the alcohol still had some effect on his body, however the bulk of the effect over. Having slept for a good six hours Jack began to sit up yawning, his mind tracing back over the recent events, Kevala came over, they had a fight, they had a shower and $$%^, then they went to the bed room where they had more %%& followed by half a bottle of whiskey and cigarettes, then Jack fell asleep and Kevala... was in his bed having a snooze. Jack was surprised, it had been the first time any girl had been able to stand his company more then past the ^%&^.

Jack lay back down busting for a piss, yet he knew that if he made too much noise, Kevala would be woken up and well then, then he'd feel bad. Deciding it was better to be held hostage in his bed until Kevala woke up, to go for his piss.

Jack lay back down, rolling over on his side so he was facing Kevala, he replaced his left arm over her and resumed his nap.

Kevala woke to the feel of an arm wrapped about her slender body...A soft little shift of her body as she inched into that embrace all the more, snuggling her body into him subconsciously.

It was only when she pressed her face sleepily against his chest, a gentle inhale of breath taken, that she caught his scent and the memories of the time before, the fight, the....well......yeah...., the drinking and then curling up to him to go to sleep......

It was an odd feeling, for her at least, to have somebody stick around, to not get up and leave, to not push her away with fear of her getting too close......And in all honesty she didnt really know how to handle it.....

Slowly her head would shift, lips finding their way to brush against the flesh of his neck in a clearly affectionate manner. Nothing overly sexual or lustful in that kiss....

Softly she sighed, letting the warmth of her breath caress his flesh before pulling back and resting her head on the pillow so that sleepy blue eyes could look toward him, that warm little smile spreading across her lips and her small hand reaching up to brush delicately down the side of his face....

She knew, deep down, that she should have slipped from his arms and tried to sneak out, tried to distance herself from whatever this was.....But for once.....Just once...She wanted to feel......Normal....

Well about as normal as a girl like her could get.....Even if she knew that it could not last.....It never lasted.......

[Jack]

"nnn..."

Jack stirred, in the short time he had laid back down, he had fallen asleep again, only to be awoken by a little object nuzzling him. Jack could feel her breath on his neck it was intense when it was close for a few seconds, before it grew faint as the distance between them increased.

Slowly Jack opened his eyes, her larger then life hues were locked onto Jack. He returned her warm smile as she looked at him, before closing his eyes again he squirmed stretching out his muscles as he let off a small yawn.

"I hope you had a nice sleep."

Jack would chuckle as he rolled over, bringing her closer to him he could feel her breath on his lips now, leaning it he gave her a small nip. He broke away, giving off a small yawn.

Kevala felt herself pulled closer to him once more, her breath falling over his lips as he offered up that soft nip..only proving to lighten her smile all the more.

A soft sigh passed her lips as she nodded.

"Yes, best I have had in some time."

She spoke the word and then dropped her eyes from him. Gods why could she not keep her mouth shut? Trying to think on that, she nibbled upon her lower lip nervously. Not really noticing she was doing this and raising her hand to twist bits of her hair about in her fingers......

"I...I can leave if you wish..."

She was going with what she knew.....It was all she could do...She was not entirely used to the whole....thing...yeah...

Shifting her body away from him slightly, subconsciously....Fully expecting him to say he wanted her to go....

[Jack]

"Yes, best I have had in some time."

“I’m glad”

Jack would say, with a smile of relief as he spoke to her, looking at her half naked body, her shirt now, creased and wrinkled from the sleep. Jack smiled at her, placing his hands behind his neck as he rested there just looking up at her. She was thinking, she always was when she bit her bottom lip Jack, smirked he knew a question was coming.

"I...I can leave if you wish..."

Jack’s facial expression changed, he frowned at her.

“And what about if I wished you would stay?”

Jack would ask, the frown still on his face, he wished for her to stay, he hadn’t had hit fill, it was too early for the little kitten to leave, too early in deed. The party had just begun and he couldn’t see why the kitten wouldn’t want to dance.

Kevala would shift to look at him, actually shrinking back slightly from the frown.....A part of her not really wanting him to be unhappy with her....

Not that it wasn't a common occurance in her life, but still.......Sighing softly, a bit shocked by his words, she would shrug....those eyes looking up at him as her hand brushed over his chest....

"Why do you want me to stay?"

Her voice was soft, much different than it usually was...Not the typical, hard, confident tone, but the gentle, lovers tone.......

She had to know his reasoning....If it was just sex, she could get that, understand it and know where she stood.....If not, then yeah...she needed to know........

Not only for the matter of staying in this bed with him, but to better understand what she felt, to know where in his life she stood.........

Though, in her mind....she had a general idea.....But yeah....he continued to prove her wrong...She just wondered if he would do so again this time.............

[Jack]

"Why do you want me to stay?"

"Why else? I like you... I enjoy being with you, I left everything behind Kevala, all my friends have either gone or died, my gang, my crew, my job... you're here though. You're one of the few people I call my friend at school. In such a short time you've turned my life around, I thought I'd be a no body you made me a some body. I'm not sure if you know how that feels, but you've given me my reasoning back Kevala... and when I'm not with you that reasoning is nothing. Without you, I question whether or not leaving everything and everyone was a good idea, with you I'm confident that it was. Does that answer your question?"

Jack would say, sitting up now, turning over to her so he could get a better look, assess the situation all the more. In such a short period of time, he had achieved the rank of Varsity Captain, the freedom to rule with an iron fist. Those who questioned his methods were entitled to do so, yet while he was on duty the hall's were safe, he didn't pick on students he didn't use excessive force. Despite his criticism he had honor in one thing, achieving victory. There is no honor in losing, no honor in failing your team mates or your comrades. There was dying graciously but at the end of the day if you were dead, you would never be able to fight again. Jack lived and breathed the Heroic code, something which the scum of this world have forgotten.

She listened, and with each word she bit upon her lower lip all the more, her mind racing with thoughts on what to do...what to say.....She felt herself caring for him, that was no trick she knew. No matter how much she wished to deny it, he had found a place inside her and nothing would change that.....

Finally she got enough nerve to speak up, eyes looking up to him as she nodded softly, shifting to lay on her back hands resting on her stomach.

"Jack....I understand how you feel....I..am not supposed to feel anything...I am not supposed to want you....to crave being near you the way I do...But I do.....I just worry....I do not want to go through the hurt again....And it always happens....If I let somebody in.....They hurt me...They make it clear I am second best in their life....They cast me aside like the nothing I am..."

She shrugged. It was just a matter of fact and nothing more. She hated it, but nothing could change that which was the truth..No matter how much she wished it.

[Jack]

"Jack....I understand how you feel....I..am not supposed to feel anything...I am not supposed to want you....to crave being near you the way I do...But I do.....I just worry....I do not want to go through the hurt again....And it always happens....If I let somebody in.....They hurt me...They make it clear I am second best in their life....They cast me aside like the nothing I am..."

Jack would roll over taking her space now practically on her, his place his right arm beside her his eyes wide as he stared down into her, a gentle smile on his face, the look of peace in his eyes.

"Well then I'll just have to break that stereo type now won't I?"

The question would linger in the air as he leaned in and kissed her, long and passionately, his left hand would snake up her body, moving around her curves pulling her closer into him.

"That's of course if you... want me.. to."

As he leaned in, his presence clearly overwhelming her own, she would let those eyes meet his own, that question making her a bit nervous inside. Though she said nothing, she couldnt.....Soon enough she felt his lips pressed to her, a passionate kiss given and eagerly returned as she closed her eyes and lifted her hand to brush gently against his neck.

Finally be broke free to speak once more...those words tugging at the part of her she was trying to hide. So much rested on her response.....

She could easily save herself the time and trouble and worry by just saying no. Saying that she had other issues in her life that left no room or him. She could in theory walk away right now....

But despite what she COULD do, her body refused to move, pinned down by the emotions she felt toward him..And though she knew the most logical and best course of action was to push him away.....She instead nodded, her tone soft, a lovers whisper as her thumb lightly brushed along his jawline..

"My head may say the safe bet is to say no, to walk away.......But ....the rest of me....cannot do that....I need you too badly...."

She then bridged the distance between them and pressed her lips to his, again her eyes fell closed, savoring the taste of him, the feel of his body and his lips to her own......

"Why? Why do you need me?"

Jack would ask her, it was his turn to plan hard to get, Kevala had been distant with him at best. Only opening up rarely the rest of it all was just her everyday persona. Jack had seen an opportunity to get close to her and thus he had opened up. There was anything in the world that she could ask him and he would answer truthfully.

Jack would stir next to her, his hand snaking up all over her body, smiling at he looked into her. He loved finishing with his uncle and he always spoke about the fish he caught that one afternoon in his summer break when he went back to visit the family. He decided to let it go thinking it would one day bring him good luck, it seems his good luck had just come rolling in. He had caught an even more impressive fish, Kevala and Jack's little relationship would be interesting at best.

She trembled beneath his touch as she let those eyes fall open to look up at him once more....It was hard for her to be....open and honest....It let people in...Let them closer to you and let them have access to ways to hurt you....

"Because....I..I dont have to hide....Because you make me .....feel good inside...I feel...lost without you, without your touch....."

She bit her lip, nervously, as she reached up and twisted her hair about her small fingers....Letting her eyes fall away from him as she debated on if the had said the right thing.

She was not usually so, vulnerable....to say the least, and it made her nervous.........Another rare emotion seen from Kev.

But all in all she supposed this was good...or at least she hoped it was. Not wanting to think of what it would be like if he hurt her due to this....It would crush a part of her, she was sure...Only making it that much harder for anyone else to ever get close to her.........

[Jack]

"Because....I..I dont have to hide....Because you make me .....feel good inside...I feel...lost without you, without your touch....."

Jack blinked.. once or twice, how did you reply to these sort of things? Did this mean she trusted him, did this mean she liked him? He had no idea, he wasn't a man who thought all that much about things, he just went with what felt right, not the whole conscience thing he rarely ever cared about that, but what he felt by pure instinct. His instinctive nature told him he had something special in front of him and his mind, well his mind couldn't do all that much thinking, he just agreed with what he felt. In time maybe the two would grow to understand and know one another, in time that understanding would grow into something more, something special. After all Kevala was as new to Jack as he was to her, she was a foreign person in a foreign place, yet she made him feel comfortable even in this uncomfortable time. She made him feel at home and that while he had given up everything it had all been worth it.

"I think with time, You'll come to regret ever letting me in.. I can be a bit.. much"

Jack would smirk at the end of his comment, leaning in to kiss her, pulling her close to him, letting his hands run up and down her body, eventually down her bare legs. His large hands roughened from years of fighting and training gripped her smooth thighs, pulling her in, making his sensual kiss all that more. His body pushed up against hers, the fabric of her top feeling rough against his bare skin.

He wanted her to cling to him and not let go, the fresh scars on his back mingled with the old ones screamed for attention, the cuts and bites all gifts of the little tiger next to him. None of them regretted all of them cherished and savored. The memories of there first meeting flooding his mind, the few short moments they had together in school. She had become to mean so much to him in this short period of time.

She laid there, her eyes going over his own as he spoke, a light sigh passing her lips as she let a little grin tug at the corner of her lips.

"You have no idea what a handful really is.....yet..."

She spoke the words just before she felt his lips press against her own, his hand trailing over her body and making her shiver softly. As her eyes fell closed she would raise her own hand, letting those soft little fingertips trace over his neck, her body shifting into his, pressing to him.....

Would she ever regret what had occurred between them? No, she would take whatever was to come from it, learn and grow. It was another valuable trait that Gabriel had instilled in her.

Mind shutting off there, refusing to think about that man at the moment. Instead she let her focus remain on the one who lay with her, the one she wanted more than she reasonably should and the one who she hoped to get closer with despite the warning bells going off in her mind.

Finally she broke the kiss, her eyes going up to his as she bit her lower lip for a moment.....

"So where does that leave .....us?

It was a valid question. At least she thought so. She did not like being confused, confusion led to things that were beyond your control, something she honestly could not handle at the moment, especially given the other things in her life she held no real control over. It was maddening.

"So where does that leave .....us?

"Right, here.. with each other."

Jack would kiss her neck, letting his tongue trace over her smooth neck, the bite marks from earlier, the taste of blood still there. The hunger returned to his belly and she was looking all too tasty. But alas there were questions to be asked and answered. Jack would break away from Kevala, still keeping his hands on her he would look into her eyes.

"Isn't that enough, for now?"

For now he had his prize, that's all he needed if he needed to build a stand for it he would, if he needed to polish it he would, but he wouldn't get another one. Not until it grew legs and ran away.

"For now... you're all mine... and I'm all yours, can't we leave all of this confusion for another time?"

Jack would ask as he looked into her eyes, his dark brown hues starring into her. It wasn't that he didn't want to be with her merely that he already was, the extent of how close they were was now up to them.
