Okay that was pushing it! Astrid jerking back and holding up her hand, a single finger extended.

"Don't do that again....Clear?"

Wiping her face and shaking her head. Who the hell did this chick think she was? Seriously.....

Why am I being nice again?

Oh yeah some deep seated notion that it would do me good to be around other.......girls...bleh..

She rolled her eyes at the NEXT comment and just hopped up....scaling her way back up the ramp and grabbing up her board. With that she reached into her pocket, grabbing a hair tie and securing her hair behind her head and then tucking it into her cap. Yeah....sometimes it did tend to get in the way.

When done she would drop the board, pushing off and dropping in, only to hit the other end, hanging on the ledge and then back to ramp up off the edge, knees bending and allowing her to reach down and grasp the bottom of the board for a moment before dropping back in and finishing her run.

When done she would be next to.......her.......and with a safe distance between them she would nod toward the ramp.

"Go on. Try that."

Her hand holding her board in front of her....Yes..weapon of defense against scary touchy feely chick with the pink lip gloss....She sooo better not have gotten that shit on her...bah!!

The game of secret rules

Jayr smiled innocently at the top just trying to be friendly and perhaps coax a bit of a mood out of Astrid either than just witty and sarcastic though Jayr was prone to those too she certainly kept it reserved for a time and a place. Eying the girl shortly as she dropped again into the next trick still striking a bit of awe on her face but on a deep level Jayr calculated, measuring each hip pivot, shift and movement as she did so.

"Go on. Try that."

Cool.

"Great so Astrid can I ask you a question?"

With that Jayr would drop into the trick this time perfecting it far better than the one before just short of a grizzled skate boarder. Though it always seemed easier when she was less focused on it and just let the motions lead the way, her hips dominating the ride as she returned short of being considered a yo-yo.

"Got any cute boys round here?"

She grinned, hopefully it'd set her off a bit of course Jayr was just playing hoping that perhaps the girl would have dropped into her next run. Maybe loosen her up a bit.

In that moment Astrid stood there trying to decide what wrong she had committed in her life to earn such a thing as this girl. What was it? She had never had sex...never done drugs.....rarely ever drank......she was honorable to her family......Never really lied......WHAT?

Reaching up and rubbing her temples she shook her head....sighing in frustration as she tried to remember what she had been taught......

Patience.............Just......breath........

"I would not know....I dont really pay attention..."

She somehow managed to get the words out, slowly turning and pulling her hair down as she moved to lean up against the rail that was there to ride ...... Seeing as nobody was on it at the time......

Letting Jayr do her....whatever the hell she was doing....and praying there would be an end to the girly questions.......PLEASE GOD LET IT STOP!!!!

Her head was hurting...........a dull throb in her temples......Yup...Jayr was causing a headache.....Maybe she could like.....leave.........She was starving...YES!! Food.......But how to sneak off?

She could not readily think of anything...but that did not stop her mind from trying.....Several plots working through her mind as she cast a glance back to the other girl........

Killjoy

Of course in the entire instance Jayr was simply joking around about such things an interestingly enough way to go about things when her newest friend was in Jayr's own view a bit stuck up. Though that meant nothing, it was not an insult simply a frame of mind and like most things Jayr was persistent to have her way with this girl..... in a normal reference of course.

The swish of the board as Jayr returned managing to control herself on the board with a simple stream of thought. Yup simple. Her stride very peppy and upbeat as she skipped over to Astrid holding the board by its wheels. There was a way about her that was always graceful despite the prep facade she wore.

"It's okay I'll be sure to hook you up."

With that Jayr turned around with a wide grin a finger pointing at the corner of her lips as she turned about the arch of her heel popping up as she moved about a good sixty degrees facing the gaggle of staring boys. With her free hand she'd wave to the boys in the same action dropping the board and pinning it's movement with her feet.

"Hey there." A giddy laughter rolling inside her expecting Astrid to go pink, which was truly the end result make her feel a bit girly.

AND that was it. She could handle a lot of things, but the offer to "hook her up" then actually turning to talk to the guys here, was WAY too much...

"No thanks, they are all yours."

With that she grasped her board in her right hand and then turned to leave, shoving Billy, one of the many posers here, out of the way and shaking her head.....

Honestly, she liked guys, she did, but for gods sake her life was not in the right place to be dealing with them. She was too focused on getting through highschool, let alone having to worry about some boyfriend to add to the complication.

But at least she could say she had given the whole....Friend....thing...a shot...Right? Reaching up and tucking her hair behind her ear, she sighed.

Sometimes she wished to be as carefree as these girls...Like Kev, and Jayr and every other NORMAL girl she had ever seen. But....she just...couldnt....

She hated they way they treated her, like some kind of joke.....Case in point........Jayr....yeah....soooo she was better off alone...at home.....Yeah...pizza and movies again tonight. Worked for her......

Clearly not the social Butterfly

Jayr twinkled a little magic in the right direction her fingers performing a little cascading maneuver cleverly picked up and trained over the years. Cat calls and dead stares as the boy's were clearly under her direct control. Just as planned.

"No thanks, they are all yours."

....And not so according to plan. Jayr's facade dropped the mask of power becoming seized from her throne as the girl swirled around free from her flirty image and shifting to put up a face of disappointment. Her eyes widened and lips shifted into that pouting gesture, her brow furrowed with a signal showing that she wasn't playing around, and clearly not the person to be toyed with.

By the time Jayr realized that Astrid was clearly not turning around she took off after her. Being a fair share taller than Astrid for one gave her an extra leg up in this short foot race, even if they clearly were not sprinting it out things would come down to a final cataclysmic event.

*tug*

The yank at Astrid's arm caller signalling her attention innocently. If she'd turned she'd meet the brief smile of Jayr one of her more conservative masks worn as opposed to that of the far right or left.

"Sorry I didn't mean to put you off... lets do something you want." Jayr cooed in generously hoping Astrid wasn't up for suggesting something like a snail eating contest or something verbose.

Then came the tug to her arm...making her turn around and growl softly. Fuck this girl must really get a kick out of fucking with her.

"Why? So you can....make fun of me? Make jokes about me? Whatever it is that you find funny? I have dealt with it since I was 15 and yeah.......Its old news.......I just wanna go home, eat pizza and chill."

Yeah the pouty face may have worked on a girl who actually was into girls and thought it cute, or whatever........But Astrid, was barely into boys.....like she had a clue what else she liked.....and yeah.....she was not the CUTE kinda girl...........

Turning around, she again started moving...Reminding herself that this was why she wore the clothes she wore, acted the way she did and DID NOT have friends........

Less people you knew, the less people had ammo to launch your way.....

Sighing softly she let her hair fall about her face as she pulled the hair tie down, took off her cap and tucked it into her back pocket....

Let Jayr go back to.....whatever she had been there to do. Maybe she could find some other more entertaining ..........person...to fuck with......

Just that type of dedication

And like that she was thrown into a bunch of other girls metaphorically speaking of course. Classified and measured as the mean girl from a movie poorly displayed by Lindsey Lohan and probably idealized by many a blow up doll here and there but hardly taken into consideration as a real person in Jayr's mind. All simply figments of a directors over exaggeration.

Jayr remained still for a second and with a small huff the air escaping her pressed lips to waft the stream of hair cascading across her forehead up a bit before growing dissatisfied with its position and forcing it back with a free hand.

Friends didn't treat friends this way and if she was pmsing Jayr would be there for her. Of course a small inner giggle as she gave chase once more.

"Hold it missy." A direct comment gaining ground behind her.

"Clearly we had a misunderstanding, I'm sorry I didn't mean to treat you badly its just how I try to react to new people, bubbly and sort of dim but you know what I mean."

Jayr tried to manage a small smirk, "2^nd chancies?" She'd try to make that as uncutsie as possible but the word just summoned forth a cutsie voice.

OMG Did this girl EVER shut up? Turning back around, Astrid had it in her mind how much she wanted to hit her...Just one fucking punch...Fuck it if she beat her ass in the end...Just hitting her once would be soooo worth it.......

But nooooo she had to go and make a personal vow to never do such out of anger only defense....FUCK!

Letting her get out her little speech Astrid would raise her brow and look at her.....Sighing softly...

"Look. I dont do so well with friends. Especially girls. I am a girl yes, and okay so maybe I sorta wanna be like a normal girl....But I cant...Which always ends up being a problem with friends..."

This time she did not leave, instead she stayed there facing the other girl as she tucked her right hand into her pocket, and let the breeze catch within a few locks of hair, shifting them about her slender frame gently.

Why she was still standing here......she honestly didnt know........

"But yeah....one more chance.....Cause I dont do the whole too many chances thing...."

Hell she didnt trust hardly anyone......Okay so at the moment nobody.......But yeah......She really didnt think she needed to spell that one out.

Begone Girly things

"Look. I dont do so well with friends. Especially girls. I am a girl yes, and okay so maybe I sorta wanna be like a normal girl....But I cant...Which always ends up being a problem with friends..."

Jayr was patient no nervous nail biting, no foot tapping maybe a little bit of biting on the inside of her cheek out of a means to stay focus and clearly not grow distracted by anything else of interest, full attention forward. Because clearly they both needed something like this, for one Jayr hadn't had any girlfriends, like ever. There was the knack of scaring them off ever since she went through puberty. And Astrid as said before looked like she needed to lighten up a bit. Perhaps this friendship would take roughly like walking a minefield in the dead of night with a pogo stick but Jayr was determined t win out in the end.

"But yeah....one more chance.....Cause I dont do the whole too many chances thing...."

YES!

A clear act of her resisting the urge to do some girly squealing jump and hold hands she stopped mid-reach for a hug and simply moved her hands to her hips "as planned" and smiled.

"Good, then I suppose its best we grab a pizza and movie? I'm famished."

Astrid took a step back as those hands moved...unsure what kind of girly...friendly.....touchy feely crap was about to be unleashed...Yet Jayr seemed to restrain herself, which was a nice surprise.

A grin tugging at her lips Astrid thought it may be over....Like...go home....alone.....and run into her at school or something another day...

Of course she was wrong......And wouldn't you know...Astrid was too nice to say no....OF COURSE!!!

Soooo she nodded and motioned toward the path that lay ahead....

"Yeah sure....Though yeah, pretty sure you will wanna go somewhere besides my place......Cause yeah..its a little bit messy there.....AND not a whole lot of room to sit."

She shrugged and started walking. If the girl wished to follow then she guessed that was okay...If not then....yeah.....Whatever....

She was just.....closed off....from everything and everyone...A completely different girl alone at night in her room.....Heh..But then that was the part of her that still existed from a life before.....Not the girl that had to exist now.......

Waiting for some suggestion she simply continued on toward home until she was given a different course to take.

Make up.......

"Yeah sure....Though yeah, pretty sure you will wanna go somewhere besides my place......Cause yeah..its a little bit messy there.....AND not a whole lot of room to sit."

Jayr simply cocked her head back with a wide grin thinking only of how the girl had come to the conclusion that the pair were going to her place and why of all things after such a rough start why she'd trust her in the place. It didn't matter though because Jayr kept with even place a bit of a bounce to her heel in pursuit of Astrid as she walked a calm sedating smile to her with a fair twinkle in her eye.

"No no no, I wouldn't impose myself on you, how bout we go to my place its not too far off and besides.."

Jayr grinned leaning back into her hip as she pulled free a pair off keys from her jammie bottoms clicking the unlock button on her car as the yellow camero beeped in a pleasant response.

"I'll drive."

Astrid mentally cursed as the offer came up to go to Jayr's house....That meant the possibility of running into people, and for the life of her, she was unable to hide the girl inside around adults. Fuck!!!

Yet she forced that smile on her face, because above all else, she was trying to be nice. It was all she could do.

"Cool."

She eyed the car keys, in her mind wondering if she would even live long enough to make it to the girl's house. Honestly, she did not trust many drivers her age. They were all insane.

The only good thing about all this was that now she would not have to worry about some girl seeing her dorm and thinking it was all......guyish.....Cause yeah that was the last thing she needed.

Yet that led to questions in her mind about how freaking girly Jayr's place would be.

Please no pink....Please no pink..

She would then turn, letting Jayr lead the way....Figuring if nothing else...at least there would be food....and above all, definitely a learning experience......be it good or bad.......

Cool

Simply put, thats what it was. For Jayr it was her first opportunity at bonding with another woman aside from her own mother which was certainly a good vibe she was getting to start off with. It'd been awhile since she'd actually had any friends. Back in kindergarten she had a bunch of boys who she'd play soccer with, much the same in middle school till she grew into her own. The odd stares and anticipation of her choices like her words dripped honey. IT was too much to live up to but the trend continued expectantly and Jayr grew accustomed to it all.

The sound of the car engine throbbing beneath them and the subtle vibrations given off by the large engine. Jayr leaning back in the car with a short smile to Astrid letting her hand fall behind Astrid's neck touching the back of the headrest. Hopefully she didn't assume Jayr was coming onto her. Jayr's head would look back and speed the car into reverse before punching it forward. The zip of the engine turning head as she sped off towards the North Pier.

"Sorry, I can't drive slow totally not in me." She'd giggle lightly pulling around the corner quickly, luckily it was more of less a straight shot to her house from the Skate park.

Soon enough they'd come to a pretty little house by the beach, fairly big sporting several rooms but not quite a mansion or sea-side villa. Something of a quaint little residence. Soon enough the engine would cut out and Jayr would spring from her car walking lazily to the front door and pulling free a key her half expecting Astrid to consider bolting now but she had hope.

"Well this is home."

Yup, she was gonna die, or at least that is what she thought from the time she got into the car til they finally, thank the gods....stopped!

Her hand gripping her thigh she released the death grip and turned to see the house......Oh gods....nice house, but yeah....just a bit much for Astrid. She had been raised in a nice big home....that was true...but since leaving Long Beach where Leon had died and the home she shared with her family, she honestly just didnt like them all that much anymore......

Memories perhaps..........

Either way she climbed out of the death trap on wheels and shut the door, following, slowly behind the other girl and looking about.......Plotting methods of escape should it be needed.

"Its nice."

It was the truth...It was nice......not really what Astrid was into..but nice just the same.....

Stuffing her hands into her pockets, she kept her eyes down and her lower lip planted firmly between her teeth. She was unsure of this place...never having really been to a girls house before...so yeah.....new for her!
