Pain is Weakness leaving the body.

Simple as that, Jayr saw tears as merely a form of weakness so that when the tissue was drawn she resisted a snarl and ignored both his gesture of kindness and his hand and merely took the lead ahead of him. Stubbornly irking the offerings and shunting her mood into overdrive.

"Lets just go."

A frown forming on her features looking maniacal at that seeing as how her features were never used to resort to such means least it was referring to a playful gesture. His back against the car until he unlocked it then she'd find her way in and cross both her arms and legs signalling an indeterminable will to be better. Next time it'd seem.

I got in the car and turned it on. "I'm guessing you prefer the stoic approach huh?" I said as I drove from the store and back to where I met her on the way to the club. "I liked the way you handle yourself really." I said as I parked the car and waited for her to give more directions to her home.

Compliments are lingering things while gifts are forever.... or till they break

Jayr sat there changing her position ever so slightly in an uncomfortable position to another. Her legs crossed sporting the dainty black heels and revealing her thighs due to her choice in dresses. Pink was not really her best color but when she put her mind to things generally anything could look good on her. Again thinking blankly to herself her arms uncrossed shifting to lean against the window pressing her forehead against the side her right hand poking her teeth making a clinking noise.

"I liked the way you handle yourself really."

Jayr's ears perked up, good a compliment however things like those didn't heal all wounds like the stories told. It took time and patience with her. Not exactly the optimist she believed in hearty action, boldness. But for now she was exhausted. A single nod and her head would be placed against the window and a calm sleep would begin to settle in.

"Before you nod off, do you want to tell me where you live, or can I just walk you home?" I asked noticing the sleep creeping into her eyes. I honestly did not want her to fall asleep in my car, nothing against her, but it just wouldn't look right.

I turned the car off and put it in park and waited for her reply. 'This girl does have promise though, I will give her that, I'd like to see how she handles herself in the school.'

More than just a pretty face.

Head nodding off only to hear the small speech in her direction as the thrum of the engine cut off. She could feel his presence near but was still only apart awake. Not that she wanted to fall asleep in his car either but it was there or in the streets at this point she had no idea how to navigate this city perfectly. But she could tell that he picked her up so wasn't it obvious where to head back.

"Mmmmhmm, Just back to where you picked me up, right by the beach."

Jayr said as she shifted again her legs uncrossing to stretch out hand readjusting to make a pillow of sorts between the window and her head. Her left hand moving towards her flank to act as a defensive measure should he get any funny ideas.

"Um, we're already here Ms." I said I got out of the car and walked over to her side and opened her door. 'Hmm...I should keep an eye on her for a little bit longer before any plans.' I thought to myself.

I held out my hand again in waiting for her to take it so I could walk her home.

No offense but I take the lead....

Jayr shrugged the grogginess almost instantly leaving as she looked about her eyes at the hill she came down, she hadn't expected they'd be getting around so quickly nor did she expect she'd have to explain herself at home, the peak of the houses' light on at the top of the hill. Crap, this meant either mom or Alexi was still awake either way her goose was cooked. With a less than satisfied sigh she plopped her way out of the car and headed forward shirking the hand. She feigned innocence and her mood as to not offend him there but she wasn't comfortable with being lead around like a pack mule.

"Thanks... I suppose I'll see you later, g'night."

With a shrug Jayr would turn about and hustle up the hill hoping he didn't follow along, it'll all be easier that way and she wouldn't have to make him hurt either mentally or physically for that matter.

Once inside her eyes would dance about the room, energy rekindled as she worked to be stealth and unnoticed.

"Jayr?" Shit she was cooked.

"Sorry Alexi, I fell asleep on the beach..."

"In that dress..?"

"Okay I might've went out clubbing."

The stern glare from an ex-KGB agent freezing her in her steps.

"So how was the movie?" He'd wink towards her with his voice slightly raised, "It was okay, a bit too much action too little plot."

She'd grin sneaking by with a kiss on her step-fathers head, "Thank you Alexi."

I got back into my car with a smile and turned the ignition with that sweet pur of my engine once again showing itself. "Tonight was a good night." I thought to myself aloud, "Should check in on her later see how well she handles herself." I looked at the clock in my car and noticed what time it is. "Time to go to work." I finished with a smile.
