He laughed a bit at her joke that she made at his humor's expense. Then when he popped the question she answered him... but not in the way he would have expected. Both brows perking and his smile one of those open mouth ones as if he were about to laugh, but paused...

He shrugged and grabbed the third slice trying to keep up with her. He puckered his lips now and his brows furrowed as he stared at her. "Sooo.... That is set in stone or?" he started to blush feeling kind of stupid that she didn't get what he was saying... it was always awkward to explain what you were trying to do. He scratched the back of his head and shrugged with a little giggle type laugh that showed he was a bit nervous. "Cause.. I umm.. well me and ma mates actually got a gig this Sataday... And well... maybe you were interested in some live music... Then I could... treat ya to a drink or two?"

Now the thing 'bout Donavan was.. yeah he was a big player..but girl's still made him nervous. "So.... interested?"

Sitting there, she listened as he spoke, the wheels slowly turning in her mind and catching onto what he was saying...er...asking...

"Umm......"

Her mind worked on the right words to say, a brush of her tongue to lick away some sauce from her lips before she lowered her 5th slice of pizza.....Yeah..she was fast......

"Like...a.....date or some shit?"

Okay that was a first...Nobody asked her out. EVER ....for serious and shit...She had never been on a date, never been kissed and never even had a boy look at her like that.......

1. She was the little one in the Sudeki family and they were protective and they expected her to be raised right.......

2. She was one of the guys or a kid sister...bout it....nothing more....

Honestly if she was right about thinking this was a date offer she was sure as hell gonna be thrown for a loop.

The anticipation was rising as she didn't answer...even said the word um. Um could never be good. Then she straight out asked if it was a date in a rather...."classy" way. He laughed and it was a little nervous. If she didn't catch on right away that could only mean she might say no... 'cause she obviously hadn't been on very many dates if she didn't understand the true extent of him asking her to the gig Saturday.

"Well... Umm... I was hopin' so...." he clenched his teeth and made that expression that someone would make if they saw something painful. He gave a little shrug and grabbed a pizza slice. "Wow.. Would have thought you were used ta this kind of thing... heh.." he took of swig of his pepsi and leaned back taking a bite of his pizza. He would wait a bit before speaking a bit. "You could also give me some constructive criticism 'bout the band.... ova...drinks..."

Wow she was pushing him off his wagon. How was she able to baffle him!! Man he was losing his game. Sooooo much easier when the girl was easy.

She raised her brow, not really confused, her hand even twitching as her first instinct was to get up and go find the only friend she had and tell him about all this. But instead she just sat there, thinking it over.......

"Pft! Guys dont ask me out on dates, they ask me to help them pick their dates."

She shrugged finishing off another slice of pizza before answering. She was honestly not sure what to do, but hey, what the hell right? May do her some good or at least she hoped so.

"Yeah sure.....I guess I can go on a date with you."

He wasnt a muscle bound idiot, he was different, and he was funny. Pretty much what she would want in a guy if she was actually looking. So yeah, no harm from a date right?

Except what the fuck was she supposed to wear? She was so not going all girly....Fuck that shit.

He laughed at her attempt at objecting to being asked out. Quite honestly it surpirsed him. Why? She was damn rights hot! Guys usually wanted to sleep with anything....and when they had a chance at doing something with a girl like her... I'm sure they would jump on that.... So..they were probably too scared to ask her out. Probs thought they didn't have a chance. Shame... she needed to be around more ballsie guys so she could get her self esteem up.

And that is what he was there for!

So now all he had to do was wait for the answer... and finally... he got one.

"Yeah sure.....I guess I can go on a date with you."

Yeah sure?

SURE?!

He puckered his lips and his brows furrowed in mock confusion. "Glad tah get the shit load of enthusiasm outta yeah." he laughed and clapped his hands together and finished it off with rubbing them together to just wipe the crumbs off. "Well... I am relieved you said yes... even though it lacked excoitement." Donavan got up and approached the till to grab a pen. He returned to his seat and grabbed a napkin. Quickly he jotted down the address of the club he was playing at and pushed the napkin with his hand..sliding it across the table to lay before Astrid. "That's the address...Sorry I won't be able to pick yeah up..but I have to set up the equipment with me and ma mates. Though I'm sure I will be able ta make up for-ah it in the fewcha." he said winking and hinting towards more time in the future to hang out.
