Even if she had ignored the grunt in her direction for her seemingly quick change in attitude-Liana got the distinct impression of being something close to subservient in the moment as she slipped down to the floor in front of Devon and went to work on his shoes, finding knots in the laces. Pulling a face briefly at it, she held in a sigh and went about the tedious work. He wasn't saying anything, or moving now, showing pretty much no emotion, or any signs of discomfort other then the shivering. Quickly, as fast as she could anyways, she slipped the laces free of the tangled mess and pried off his shoes. Moving them neatly to the side and off the rug...she made easy work of his socks next, which she hung right next to his shirt.
When she stood up she took a contemplative step back from him. Lia had gotten him out of his clothes this far, and now came the real problem. So she wasn't naive or entirely innocent, yeah she had been with a few guys but the fact remained, that she didn't go around looking to undress random, strange guys. But of course, before she let herself get irrational, he was probably wearing underwear - even though he was already showing more skin that she was finding comfortable. It wasn't entirely unmanageable for her modesty.
Again she refrained from saying anything smart assed, or even making a joke, "okay pants next then I'll leave you to take care of...the rest and get dressed."
He was just going to have to pull himself together to finish it up. So with that in mind she stepped back up, still finding it increasingly difficult to just casually reach for his pants button - but tried to be as clinical about it as she could. From what she could see now (and she could see a lot) he was in incredible shape, all toned and hard muscle, though lithe with not a lot of bulk. Liana waited on him to to get up, finding that the more he was forced to do something the more lucid he was becoming -though she wasn't sure if she wanted the static she was getting along with it.

Devon's mind worked at processing further information, processing more, and it was all just driving him insane as he went along. None of it made sense to him. If she was being honest, that was odd. If she was lying, why was she helping him out so much so that she took the subservient looking roll of stripping him out of his clothes while he shuddered due to being cold.
Despite the tugging at his feet he seemed to not react at all to what was happening around him, lost in his thoughts as he leaned heavily on his forearms. Once they were off she managed to catch his attention, speaking to him in tone that conveyed to him that she was rather uncomfortable. He glanced downward and looked at himself, shifting the bottom of his feet against the shower mat to test his strength.
Before he managed to stand he reached out and pressed his chilled palms to her shoulders, although he didn't put much thought into it as he stood up. With his weight pressed down onto her shoulders for a moment her fingers would likely miss their mark until he steadied himself, managing to keep his balance with his fingertips pressed against her shoulder.
Devon could feel his muscles protest, still cold enough to make his upper body shudder with the chill. He would stay quiet, distracted by the need to keep himself upright so he wouldn't fuck up and wind up cracking his skull on something. Bleeding didn't need to be a part of the worst trip he had ever taken.
Just after she started working on the last of it Devon pressed down on one of her shoulders a bit heavier then the other as he started to loose focus. "You'd be a good nurse, just avoid... axe..." And his thought trailed off, lost behind a hard shudder as cold air brushed over his more sensitive parts, not giving any warning that he had gone commando. He himself had forgotten.

Just as Liana steeled herself enough to get the job done and over with to get past the awkwardness of the entire situation she found herself in, she felt the pressure of his hands on the back of her shoulders. With a grunt she felt herself dipping down a little more but somehow managed to keep from going down any further then she wanted.
Closing her eyes for a second and letting out a heavy breath that more then likely washed across his skin she worked the button and zipper undone, her attention was brought shortly up, when she felt him pushing down on her shoulder again. Jerking her head to the side so her hair flicked away from her face she raised an eyebrow at him and his comment. Straightening a bit what ever words where fixing to come out as a light comeback stuck in her throat when she focused back at the matter....at hand. Turning sharply around a hand coming up to almost literally slap across her face, her fingers splayed over her eyes and obscuring her vision for a moment.
"Jesus," she breathed out, her face burning in unquestionable embarrassment now. "Forget something this morning when you woke up?"
Making a small noise of mild distress, Liana grabbed the towel off the counter and turned around making it a point to look Devon in the face now, sure he found all this real amusing and he was laughing it up on the inside. Wrapping the large fluffy white terry cloth around his waist, she made sure to knot it securely on his hips, above the now sagging pant line.
It didn't take much to tug down the material - a little put out about the surprise she had come face to face with, literally. All he would have to do was step out of the pants when it pooled around his feet. She was torn with just letting him attempt getting dressed by himself but with the whole trouble she went through to get him undressed there was the possibility he wouldn't have the balance right then to put something on without falling over and cracking his head.
Before she could let herself think over it anymore, Liana was unfolding the sleep pants and with a tired sigh, standing in front of him slightly bent over - hoping that towel stayed right where it was at....

Devon closed his eyes at the odd sensation of warm water brush across bear skin, unaware that she was struggling with his weight in that moment although he should have. After all he had placed extra pressure on her to keep himself up. Blissfully unaware of what exactly she came face to face with, or why he suddenly heard a slapping sound, he glanced downward and cocked his brow quizzically.
"I didn't wake up this morning." He countered with a small huff, not sure why she was suddenly blushing and hiding herself, not looking down enough or aware enough to see or feel his current state. Devon was too busy shivering, it wasn't the coldest part of his body. Sadly he missed out on a witty retort along the lines of It's cold outside!
Clueless he wen ton wondering while the woman was red faced as she looked up at him, and wrapped a large towel around his waist, feeling it slip around his bare skin, making him shiver as his cold skin made the fibers feel like they were scratching at him. The sensation dissipated when movement stopped.
Tugging his feet from the material that had pooled at his feet Devon once again kept his balance by using her shoulders as a way to push himself back into place. Once out of the pants he watched her unfold a pair of sleeping pants a size too large for him. Still out of sorts he saw the act more as an offer of warmth rather then an awkward act, and he stepped into one leg of the pants, the angle of his hips dislodging the towel slightly.
The towel slipped down one side of his hip, his tense muscles protesting the position he had taken. It began to slide down the hip just as he lifted up his other leg, stepping down just in time to have the towel fall far enough to bring about the same shame that prompted it's presence in the first place.

Liana's luck...was terrible apparently, because as she busied herself to get him in clothes, the towel started to slip, it was hardly something she couldn't help but notice so as the terry cloth came undone. For a second she willed it silently to stay put at least until she could get the sleep pants up around his hips, and she watched in placid grief as it just didn't listen and continued to come unraveled. Closing her eyes for just a second when she reopened the light green orbs she was staring doggedly at his stomach, feeling him more then anything, as he stepped in the other leg.
Now when the towel was jarred from his body at the awkward movement she didn't get an eyeful...and swiftly she pulled them up, her eyes rolling up to the cieling as she straightened all the way herself. Placing her hands on her hips and flicking her head to the side again to move the hair out of her face (even if it was a bit useless) she let out a breath. She was beginning to wonder if he wasn't doing this on purpose for some strange reason, but with a speculative look at him- before she went to get the shirt- figured he really was to out of it. So unfolding the crew neck, gray t-shirt, Liana had no problem with helping him put that on at least.
By now though she was pretty tired, it was getting late and she had just hoped her nosy neighbor - the old woman with the cats - hadn't seen her drag him in and voice her concerns to Lia's parents the next chance the old bat got. With him finally settled - or at least dressed, she waited to do anything else, "you can sleep it out or I've got some food in the kitchen. Feel up to eating? Or would you rather just lay down?"
She didn't mind helping him along further to do either, because she planned to put his clothes in the washer and dryer for him to have at least before he left. So he'd have time to wait it out if he made himself scarce as soon as he would be able to. In all honestly she didn't know, but she got the feeling even though she was helping, it wasn't much appreciated at all.

Devon continued to be obviously to just what he was putting the poor thing through. Mostly he was glad that there was something warm and dry on his damp cold skin. Once the waist of the pants were resting on his hips he felt like he could actually handle moving as his muscles would slowly lose tension as they slowly warmed up. Although they were still low enough that she would likely still be reminded of what she had seen.
The putting on of the loose fitting shirt was fairly uneventful, it was just pulled over his head and he was left to shove his arms into either sleeve. It was another struggle, during which he tipped over and bumped his shoulder into the wall, leaning on it heavily as his damp skin made things harder on him as he finished pressing his left arm down the sleeve. But he managed, and then had the question posed to him.
Devon took a moment, during which he glanced over himself, feeling very out of place int he odd clothing. He would've gone for his wallet, but he hadn't left enough money to care about, if she stole it she would only get enough money to cover the cab ride. "Couch, sleep." He muttered, wanting to avoid dealing with the shit it was putting him through longer then he needed, and glad that he at least stemmed off any serious side effects thanks to the cold water.

She was slightly surprised to hear his short chopped answer to her questions, more to the point Liana hadn't expected him to ask for the couch instead of just going for the bed in the next room. Still she didn't argue and instead move to help him, taking up the now automatic position at his side under his arm, the height difference enough that she was more of an actual crutch.
With a shake of her head, Liana didn’t bother with talking anymore then she had, instead just helping Devon to the couch. When she could get him there and on it laying down, she hurried to get a blanket – the couch pillows would do for now as far as a cushion went. Pulling the light coverlet over the body, Lia stepped – her stare lingering, with her brow creased, she contemplated a lot of things.
Now it was obvious he was messed up on something at this point, and she had never approved of drug use; never saw the point in it. Why spend money on shit that was going do this to you when you could always go do something better and keep yourself in your right mind? Then again she supposed that was why some people did it, or maybe they were bored, but it just seemed like a waste to Liana no matter the reason. There was never a good excuse, and she was finding that she didn’t have any pity for the user either. Pressing her lips together and lifting a hand to sweep it through her mused wavy brown hair she turned, leaving Devon to sleep it off on the couch.
Far from tired now, Liana shuffled her way into the kitchen first, quickly fixing a pot of coffee and turning it on to let it brew before she headed to the bathroom. It only took a few minutes to pick everything up and straighten the area before she heading to the laundry room in the back to throw the clothes and towel that had been used – making sure to take out his wallet and put it on top of the machine. With a light wash, she filled the fabric softner ball up and tossed it in with the small load, out of habit - then pushed the door closed.
As she walked back to the kitchen she pressed her fingers into the tightened muscles of the juncture between her neck and shoulder, letting out a sigh and slipping onto the barstool at the island counter. Arching her back out, and rolling her shoulders forward she stretched her arms in front of her then folding them as she brought them in to prop her head on her forearms.
In all honesty she didn’t know why she had felt so adamant about helping Devon tonight- maybe it was the fact she hadn’t back then. It was like she felt like she should have talked to him tried to make a friend, but it wouldn’t have done much good anyways, because she had left San Diego a few weeks after the park incident. Maybe since she wanted something normal this was her unconsciously trying to grasp onto something she knew from her childhood –a familiar face that had stuck in her mind over ten years, for what ever reason.
Either way, if he left after this and didn’t speak to her again…well, that was fine. She had tried this time anyways. With no direction that her thoughts could go, no structured pattern to process everything that had happened tonight, Liana let her eyes close as she drifted off toward sleep.

Devon was once again helped to walk, the girl tucked herself under his arm and pressed herself to his side, holding his waist carefully to guide him. For whatever reason he didn't fight it off, he just let his arm rest over her shoulder and down her front, giving no tension to the limb. Guided down to the couch didn't take too long, he was weak, but other then the occasional stumble it wouldn't be hard this time around. Given experience on her part, and a bit more balance on his.
Once brought in front of the couch his upper body was carefully lowered down by the girl, and he managed to pull his legs up on the cushions himself before she could be reminded by how much of him she had seen while helping him out. Poor girl would probably have dreams about it. Which could have been while she quickly draped a thin sheet over his lower body, just barely going past his waist.
Devon bent one of his arms back and slipped his hand under a pillow, which he rested his hand on tiredly. He would soon he drifting off, completely uncaring about anything else going on around him. It wouldn't be more then twenty breaths before he was completely gone to the land of gum drops and jelly beans. Oh, don't forget the images of death and murder.
