"K...Just..Can you avoid telling him I didn't tell you about him... Just make up the excuse of not knowing enough about him 'cause...Well..I barely know anything about him..."

"Absolument," His reply would come quickly taking her hand though letting Alexis lead the way as though Gabriel was the stray animal she'd dragged home to show her family. Undoubtedly now he was a little nervous having known that he was family. A fluttering in his stomach that made him sick and a bit of heat rising in his cheeks. The normally cool under pressure Gabriel Seran brought to a meek state after learning Lexi had family.

"I apologize you had to witness what Gabriel did... He was getting back at me for embarrassing him in front of his friends..."

"I could see that... You used to be the type to embarrass others..."

Gabriel would chuckle to play along his voice shifting to that of confidence to sell the part, "Its hard enough to get a victory over Lexi, I have to take what I can get, hope you understand." He aimed for a friendly smile to be reassuring though something about it felt forced and awkward.

"So uh... I asked if you two were together.. but um.. How so? Married?"

This guy was good, either this move was carefully planned out or spontaneously aimed to set them off guard it seemed to work. The shock of the question setting Gabriel's mind off quickly into perhaps a defensive gesture, his cheeks glowing a nervous crimson. An evasive cough was sounded, "Yes and no,"

Gabriel would smile trying to avert the nervous flutter and heat and find his mind racing figuring it best to keep the subject moving along but the racing of thoughts in his head left him contemplating whether that in itself was the right move either. He wished he could have another second in that room to headdesk a bit and relieve this close tension.

Alexis smiled...unsure if Donavan was conjuring up some form of plan. Her family was usually the first to put a finger down on the lie and crack down on it. Though..he didn't. Could have been the absence.

Then... out popped the question.

It was the question... but in a different questioning manner of course.

This only caused Alexis to panic. Her cheeks turned crimson and her eyes shot to the carpet. She heard the cough Gabriel emitted and she almost wanted to do the same as if it would make the whole situation less awkward.

Though they all know it wouldn't.

Alexis just couldn't get her mind off of Li. She was engaged to him along time ago... but it still hit home.

When she thought of Li she thought of that pain of being alone... and when she thought of their engagement she remembered the coma... the coma that she woke from only to find her sister in the bed next to her....

"Yes and no,"

Yes; Common Law married.

No; no ring to seal the deal.

She could understand that... though she did pause...

"Not yet..."

Her eyes shot to Gabriel, but she didn't want the situation to get anymore awkward so she looked away from him and back at her brother.

"So...Are you going to school still? Please don't tell me you pulled the same kind of mistake I had....and now running from the AFP."

She said in a joking matter... though of course every part of her was hoping that it wasn't the case.

Donavan laughed at their reaction. He didn't expect to get such a great response. It certainly was enough to flip his switch and make him in a hyper-happy mood.

Hurrah bipolar.

The dog came back and jumped up on the couch and started pawing at his lap.

"Um..Yeah I regista'd to the high school 774.." he shrugged and his eyes scanned the photos to look for one with Olivia in it. It was always good to see her face... but at the same time it was saddening. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to be an exact replica and have to be reminded of the one who killed herself everyday when looking at your own reflection. "I dun loike it though." he said with a smile looking back at Alexis. He patted the dogs head. "What's the lil' goy's noame?" once he got the name he would look up at Gabriel.

"Whe'ya from? You sound loike a frogga."

Yeah... it was slightly racist.





But he didn't care.

Gabriel grinned sheepishly winding his hand tauter over Lexi's as something of a means of sharing his tension but merely receiving just the same. Even as she changed the subject and rather quickly at that Gabriel felt the tension ease briefly.

"Um..Yeah I regista'd to the high school 774.."

Phew, well that meant that he'd probably get another chance at making a second and hopefully better impression, then again, with all the trouble lingering on there. It was questionable. Gabriel's mug turned serious and distant.

"I dun loike it though."

"hmm?" Once more his hues turned upwards curiously finding a brief other distraction at that.

"What's the lil' goy's noame?"

"His names Oddie....." Gabriel managed out a grin before being cut off.

"Whe'ya from? You sound loike a frogga."

Was that a slash at his ethnicity? Gabriel's eyes narrowed harshly, granted he was a guest but then again he was an uninvited guest. Quickly figuring in his mind he could kick the boy out but then again his aim was to not offend Alexis but rather protect her from loosing her family. Gabriel only wanted to create one for her.

"Pardon...?" Yups he was going to play the dumb card, despite being bad at it.

Odie managed to befriend Donnie. Alexis smiled as Donavan pet him and even asked for his name... though of course the nice and sweet ended when Donnie spit out a racist slur.

Alexis as quickly as she could...shot out her foot and kicked him square in the shin.

"Shut the fuck up, Donnie! Crikey, you don't see him calling us a bloody wombat or a kangaroo."

She looked back at Gabriel with an apologetic smile for how she just reacted. She was seeing her shrink again for her anger issues... but she was hoping he would let it slink by due to the fact she was "defending" him.

"He is from France, you lil' shit, and that is all I'm giving you...."

Gabriel stared in a look of mixed emotion, was it horror that griped his mind at the current moment or surprise. The racial slur wasn't something he was unaccustomed to I mean he had to put up with Bastille often enough times that it really didn't strike a thought until someone made a big deal about it. Looking down towards Lexi's out lash he was a bit surprised at the heat in her accent he'd consider scolding her if it wasn't so adorable.

"ugh No problem...."

Gabriel tried edging in though he suspected with the Green's overpowering 'Sibling bonding abilities' that he'd be edged out of the conversation to nothing more than an observer, which in its own right wasn't all too bad he supposed, so long as she kept using the Aussie talk. =D
