Others relying on him was one thing but Alan was never one who relied on others.
This however wouldn't work.
Even with several white bandages covering his eyes, the people of the city hesitated not to bump and push the blinded individual. Alan not knowing what was wear went with the flow as he was pushed, bumped, and prodded to who knows where over the course of twenty minutes. He had lost his bearings a long time ago and the world he once perceived through his mind's eye was now dark. His other senses though sharper helped little as the hustle and bustle of the city remained constant regardless where one went and although he didn't want to admit it, he was in trouble.
He stood silently as the crowd which once was thick thinned around him and glanced around looking for well...something. As to what that something was, well it wasn't really anything in particular but if he had to say, he would've said a clue. A small hint of sorts of his location or at least something that would've at least guided him back. But time came and time went and after about five minutes of accomplishing nothing, Alan decided that if he was ever going to get himself out of this jam, standing here was definitely not the way to do so.
And so with slow steps and outstretched hands, Alan slowly made his way forward. His hands were brushed away several times by those he close to and his balance was thrown into disarray with each and every sudden bump. He thought it odd that no one had even attempted to help him but figured that people these days had enough to worry about without having to worry about some random guy on the street so he didn't hold it against them. Instead of cursing people or thinking thoughts of the malicious variety, Alan figured his energies could be better spent on how he could get himself out of this jam and about how he was supposed to get himself home. Besides, it this wasn't the first time he'd been in a tough spot and it probably wasn't going to be the last....or so he thought until he lost his balance.
Time sort of froze for the split second that he began to fall forward. The sudden shift in the level of the ground coupled with the loud blare from a loud horn caused Alan's brief but happy life to flash before his eyes. The outcome was clear at this point about what was about to happen. He'd wind up as roadkill and would eventually become one of those late night news stories that asked that same question every time someone accidentally died. How could this happen.
Alan's fall lasted what felt like an eternity until a sudden tug on his harm brought time back into motion. Alan felt his body's momentum suddenly shift away from the street and back onto the sidewalk and felt a sudden wind smack his face as the vehicle, which he'd been sure was about to seal his fate just moments ago, zoomed just inches away from his face. He had absolutely no control over his movements due to his body suddenly being jerked backwards and so with absolutely no means of stopping himself, Alan fell on top his would be savior.
His heart pounded through his chest as the sudden realization of how close to death he'd come washed over him and voiced in a tone that was both shaky and low due to the shock, “Thanks, I owe you one.”

(OOC: lotsa love<3 just like old times? yush.)
Life has been good lately, and the heavens seemed to be smiling down on Reira. She had made several new friends, developed her relationships and even went to a few parties! She definitely loved the crazy dancing with Kale and the night at the carnival. Reira felt like she was finally living the life of a regular teenager. Then again, she was one anyway, just the same old family drama taken out of proportion.
So she just down in the city shopping and just exploring by herself. Ironic since I just mentioned she made a lot of friends, but today she decided to plan her own journey and go at her own pace. Besides, Reira enjoyed shopping alone, she didn't feel the need for other people's opinion, rather its the lack of opinion that she appreciates. She spent her time in several boutiques and vintage stores just looking around and snapping random photos on her phone to put on her blog. Yes, she was the typical girly modern girl of society.
Her brown riding-styled booys clicked along the pavement as she made her way swiftly toward the bus stop where she would start heading home, that is, until she saw some weird Asian guy walking around in a clumsy and directionless manner. He had bandages around his eyes, and Reira was beginning to think that there may be some really weird and abnormal people around...
That is until she saw him wander with his outstretched arms into the intersection. Reira gasped, pushing several people aside just catching the back of the guy's shirt collar with her slender fingers and roughly pulling him backwards in time to save him from being roadkill.
"Thanks, I owe you one".
He sounded scared and nervous, his voice was shaky but Reira was deaf to it all, she was irate!
"What the hellwere you thinking!? You could have been killed you IDIOT." she yelled at him on the spot just on the side of the sidewalk with people staring at them. Reira didn't care what others thought, because this guy needed to get it through his head that either he needed a guide dog or someone to help him. This dimwit needed to know that its ridiculously dangerous to just walk around idly waiting to be killed by the contraptions of modern technology.

Stunned.
If he had to choose one word in all the English language to describe what he felt, that'd be it hands down.
The words of his savior registered almost instantaneous with him but that was about it. He just stared blankly in the direction of the voice and raised a brow in a confusion wondering why the hell she was mad! It wasn't as though that fact hadn't dawned upon him! He was well aware of the fact he'd almost died and he was also well aware that his actions weren't all that smart but what the hell was he supposed to do? He wasn't going to be a little bitch and ask people for help. Helping others was supposed to be his job. Not vice-versa.
All these thoughts ran through his head but not a single one could justify his actions enough. He'd wanted to tell her what he'd been thinking but in retrospect, saying that he 'didn't want to ask for help' out of pride would have definitely have looked bad. Which was why instead of answering, Alan merely bit his lower-lip slightly as he turned his head slightly away and motioned to quickly push himself off of the ground. There wasn't any point in explaining himself seeing as how odds were all she would do was probably ridicule him. He quickly shuffled and turned his body over and planted his hand onto the ground as to regain his balance, but instead of coming into contact with the cold hard pavement, Alan felt a rather soft and warm sensation suddenly grace his hand with it's presence.
Alan's face instantly lost it's color as his hands softly reaffirmed that which he assumed that which rested in his hands to be and without warning threw his body backwards as though he'd been attacked.
If she could see his eyes she'd notice they were wide and almost unbelieving.
Not in the fact that he currently assumed that he'd touched the girl's breasts but in the fact that he, a man of justice, had repaid the person who'd saved his life by sexually assaulting her. Oh yeah. That was real nice. And so yeah, there he sat, with his mouth hanging somewhat open as small beads of sweat could be seen slowly beginning to form. He'd wanted to apologize but with the sudden shock of all these sudden events, he found himself at a lost of words.
